Chapter I: The Province of Dur'lan

Far to the East in the Dur'lan province lay an isolated kingdom, surrounded by mountain and forest. Coneria; keep known for it's bustling commerce and unique hot springs, rumored to be able to heal the injured of any and all ailments.
Travelers from the Western provinces journey to visit the city and it’s local town- lately an adventurer’s guild being the main point of interest. With the sudden appearance of creatures not native to the lands, several bold men and women have gathered at the Red Ruby Inn’s quest board to stake their claim at bounty and reputation.
This is where you come in!

Red Ruby Inn
Setting:
The Inn was rather cozy at this time. The hearth burned bright and first snowfall of winter arrived. The light clatter of mugs could be heard from down stairs and a festive aroma noticable by all patron and visitors. The Innkeeper tended to her duties as the warm sun rose and melted away what it could- none-the-less it seemed several of the patrons would be locked in the large cabin for a few hours. Not to worry, food was plentiful and ale abundant.

Sosu was up north trying to shelter himself from the cold. He looked around the campsite he was at seeing Sath and Ral huddled sleeping and then he peered over to the strange Zug. Zug was sleeping in his little shelter that he built for himself. Sosu shrugged and got some wood to lite the fire pit. After a while he lit the wood and huddled around the fire pit keeping himself warm.

Meanwhile, the Cleric would be located next to the Elf that had managed to successfully lead the party of adventurers through many a trouble in the past few days. She'd snooze away peacefully, dreaming of a happier time. Covered from head-to-toe in her Clerical garb, she'd most certainly be warm! Or, well. As close as you could get to such a thing, in a muddy campsight.

Zug, having settled down in his small shelter, was cutting logs in his sleep like the good worker he was. His right hand off to one side, his left resting on his chest.. and his mouth, drooling on the floor. The occasional grumble of gibberish coming from him, as he turned to one side. His dreams were simple, nothing too grand.. just him, his trusty axe and a forest full of lumber to be chopped down. The happy orc reared up for a swing! SWISH An entire tree falling down with one chop of the axe! As he dreamed his dream, one could see the edges of his lips curling up.. truly... he was in paradise.

Adventure Party
The party continued their ventures, likely to return to the safety of Coneria and it's local town by sunset.

By this time winter had reached the province and anyone traveling beyond the city would face the harsh cold if not adequately prepared. Slimes found themselves changing color with the season and other species from the West would migrate in, preferring the lower levels of snow within Dur'lan's lush forest compared to the rest of the realm. These were yet to be seen however by many of the travelers as they kept to themselves deep within the thicket.

Down the road to the inn an elegantly armored woman would be seen walking along the path, the snow sticking to the tightly packed armor that held the woman's almost too lithe frame. As she neared anyone would see she was oddly tall as well, but despite the size and strange frame the woman walked with grace and poise, each step almost appearing to echo slightly a rhythmic hum to an unheard song. she would turn to the inn as she neared it, giving one look to the sky as the snow fell onto her cage like mask letting out a soft breath of air before entering the inn.
