You won't be able to create a private message until after 24 hours of a new account and 10 posts. My advice is to go around the different forums, say hello, etc. Then you'll be well on your way!

Hi and welcome!

There are different categories that are also called subforums or forums. Basically, you need to make 10 posts around the site and wait for 24 hours to be able to send private messages.

Check out the RPN FAQ - it explains all basic terms and what you need to know to navigate the site and how to start roleplaying. It also explains about this '10 posts' rule and what is considered a post.
