This RP is taking place before the events of the show, but after the Graduation of Eda and Lilith from Hexside. Youβre not expected to know the lore from head to toe, most of it isnβt yet revealed anyway, general knowledge of the world is good enough! This will be focused on our own students, and their adventures within Hexside and the Boiling Isles. Canon characters will rarely be making appearances, so we will be pretty much free to have our characters roaming and exploring the world at hand! Rules:
- General RP etiquette is expected, respect your fellow members, weβre all friends here!
- This RP is LGBT inclusive, so no discrimination or offensive manners directed at any LGBT persons or Characters will be tolerated.
- Notice is appreciated if youβre going to be AFK for a while, though not mandatory, it is however mandatory to notify me if youβre leaving, so we can plan out accordingly
- just to keep things a little easier to track, TWO student characters are recommended, though not mandatory, But TWO RECURRING* NPCS or Canon Characters per person is enforced.
- Fights or Duels between characters for now can be decided without a dice, people are expected to talk about it ooc, or simply write naturally, if a decision cannot be reached, or the fight lasts too many posts, a Dice will be introduced.
- That being said, your characters are expected to be flawed, please donβt expect them to win every duel or fight!
- We are writing these characters in realistic terms, relationships will need to develop between characters who donβt formerly know each other or have an established relationship already
- Mature themes such as Extreme Violence, intimate romantic scenes and discussions, etc. are to be AVOIDED. Remember the main bulk of our characters are going to be MINORS. If you have a question about what is allowed or not, simply ask ^^
- The RP should remain spoiler FREE due to the time period, but I cannot guarantee the OOC chat will be the same, so PLEASE remember that when you are invited to join. That being said, you yourself are encouraged to protect spoilers within the OOC chats.
- The laws of the world are still being worked out, there isnβt much that is set in stone, so feel free to get creative! But anything major that is being added should probably be run by the group first!
- Lore is being revealed slowly, as the show is ongoing, things may release that contradict what we have gone over, so donβt worry if something comes up that clashes with the happenings of our RP, we can brainstorm a way around it!
- Swearing and cursing is acceptable, but in moderation, these are teens, not sailors, and they will be reprimanded accordingly if they are caught.
- Strive to include everyone! Have characters interact with each other regularly, mix up scenarios and opportunities! This is not saying all characters will be friends!! Dynamic and complex to relationships are encouraged!! Not all characters will be friends! Realistic relationships are the goal!
*Reccuring references mostly teachers in this RP, since there are 9 Study Tracks, there are going to be 9 Teachers, though not all will be needed right away. The existing teachers and who is playing them will all be outlined on the character signup sheet!
- Wild magic is shunned, and it is implied most texts pertaining to the teachings are lost. As such, nobody learns this form of magic, or knows much about it, apart from Edalyn Clawthorne. No other characters should logically have access to these magics.
- Humans are not native to the Boiling Isles, as itβs explicitly stated Luz is first human to attend Hexside. As such, no character will be human!
- Covens are a societal teaching, most students will aspire to be in a certain coven. This can change or develop in the story, but it gives a good starting point.
- Your studentβs sleeveβs and leggings match their study track, more details on that in the signup sheet
- No students can study more than one track. Luz is established to be the first to do this in the show, even Edalyn was on a direct track.
- So far, no race or species has been completely out written bar humans, so feel free to get creative!
- Weβre still learning about the school, but it seems that students of a particular study track will group together in the vain of Houses from Harry Potter, so consider that when making characters!
- Being Covenless by the end of school, or aiming to be Covenless is taboo, and many people frown upon it, take that into account as you set up your characterβs aspirations!
- In the case of Teachers, they will have joined the Coven they are teaching, and such will strictly be using magic related to their field, as is the lore of Covens; all their other magic is sealed away.
