Heroes Will Fall: Lore
IC || OOC || Characters || Lore || Extras
Since this RP is centered around villains, there is of course some history regarding the heroes and villains, as well as the setting where the RP takes place.
Archeo
Land Area: 302.1 sq. miles
Population: 5.4 million
Power Concentration: 5%
Hospitals: 52
Airports: 1
Power Research Facilities: ???
Districts: 2
Archeo is the city in which the story of Heroes Will Fall takes place within. It is a relatively large city, almost the size of New York, and is in an unspecified location within America along the East coast. It is relatively isolated, and doesn't see much of the outside since the city is self-sufficient, and residents rarely need to leave.Population: 5.4 million
Power Concentration: 5%
Hospitals: 52
Airports: 1
Power Research Facilities: ???
Districts: 2
It also has the highest concentration of superpowers, since they will account for 5% of the total population of 5.4 million residents. This is also a part of the reason it is the home of certain research facilities that are completely invested in the development and understanding of superpowers.
It also has two districts, an Western and Eastern district, with several important landmarks and locations. The Western District is home to the technological, political, and bank buildings, while the Eastern District is home to the ports, industries, and most of the population's residence.
Notable Archeo Locations + Heroes & New Anarchist!
Medical Facilities
There are 62 hospitals in Archeo. 55 of them are in the Western district and are higher quality than the 7 in the Eastern district. The hospitals are geared towards treating both humans and superhumans, though someone with a very different physiology will have a hard time getting treatment. There are a few notable hospitals, one being Arch General, which has the most proficient doctors in terms of treating superhumans. This is also the largest hospital system in the city, being able to cater to 6,200 patients at a time. There is also another hospital in the East side that caters to villains, and requires special access. It is founded by New Anarchist itself and isn't accessible to everyone. It is called Anarchy Health.
Heroes, Villains, and Misc. Facilities
Heroism was a program that was instated by the government 30 years ago in response to superpowers as a whole rapidly increasing in society. The government appointed the role of heroes to those who were going to be special operatives for the government as well as a symbol of protection to the society with their flashy costumes. Heroes are expected to maintain a code of honor as well as to protect civilians. In the Western district there is a Hero HQ, which is nothing more than a large, windowless building that seems to have the capability to withstand even a nuclear bomb. It is completely soundproof, and cannot be seen inside without physically going within the building. There are 33 floors, each of which caters to different hero services, including but not limited to, a cafeteria, a hospital, a radio room, a city scanner, a helipad on the top, and several lodging for heroes.
The Mira Rehab center is the place in the West side of the city where ex-villains are sent to by heroes. While it is known as a rehab, it is more akin to a super-prison, making it extremely hard to escape. Those who have completed their sentence, and if they somehow managed to even survive a hero's attack, they will be sent to a rehabilitation program.
There are several radio towers scattered throughout the city, mostly to spread news...and other stuff of that nature...
The New Anarchist was a group created by an unspecified villain to rival the presence and supposed oppression of heroes, and also to free mankind from the dependence on powered individuals to do all their fighting, and to get humans to stand up for themselves. The current leader is Data, who obtained his role by working his way up to the top of New Anarchist and killed the head to assume the role on his own. His ideals are similar, though it's more to free humanity from the dependence of heroes. The New Anarchist are spread all across the ports in the Eastern district, and most villains have a residence there. While there is never one location that sticks around forever, there is almost always one port that is a backup point for the meetings to take place in. New Anarchist also has several other points spread out through the city where meetings may be held, or even serve as scout points or hideouts for the villains. Most of their work takes place underground, within rooms near the sewer system and other covert locations.
The hero outpost “Ironhouse” consists of three blast-proof cylinders encircling the Easternmost radio tower, the Ironhouse Radio station. Channels broadcasted from here range from pop music to general news. However, like all radio stations near hero outposts, certain switches allow an override system that broadcast emergency alerts to all radio channels as well as through TV should a camera be hooked up. Ironhouse is owned by the superhero Iron Quad, and houses 9 Associates along with Iron Quad himself. The three blast-proof cylindrical buildings are fabricated from relatively affordable materials generated by a top tier hero, Bunker, and due to their semi organic nature and incredibly high tensile strength, the buildings are expected to withstand all types of arms fire, but not anything higher than tank shells. The material is completely unlike the materials used in the Hero HQ, as it does not withstand explosions the same way. Inside the cylindrical buildings are a coil of stairs along with three floors in each. The northernmost building contains several unused weapons along with a full armory for the 9 Associates. It also contains supplements for Iron Quad’s personal use. The easternmost building, the one facing the ocean, contains several scanners and other types of surveillance equipment, including high speed radar, and sometimes houses a tracking hero in place of the radar. The westernmost building, the one facing the true Hero HQ, contains a direct access laser-lined road that opens up after an entity crosses a laser threshold with a speed of a jet plane. This is to ensure that only speedy heroes are allowed to use the direct access road and may traverse the whole distance in a few minutes. The rest of the contents are unknown, though it’s speculated that associates will sleep here on days where their presence is required, as well as a small cafeteria, showers, and other accommodations. The actual radio tower contains a single building about the size of four small shacks glued together, and is operated by civilian operators who believe they are under the complete protection of the heroes in the three buildings that surround the tower. The tower's signal spreads to 3/4th of Archeo.
Powers
Powers have existed for human beings for well over one thousand years. They have not been a part of society until the frequency increased in the recent years, making them one of the main focuses of human society and further increasing the conflict between Heroes and Villains.
Powers can exist in many different forms, almost always they are unique to the individual. Some may have psychic abilities, others may simply have a mutation. Others can have alien physiology, and some can even be born with them with no way of tracing them. There is one thing that is very hard to do, and that is replicate powers. Copying powers is said to be impossible and it doesn't exist at all in this world.
First things first, it is possible to metabolize and obtain powers of someone by simply consuming and digesting them, specifically their blood and their brain. This doesn't apply to all powers, however, as some powers don't have any living traces on the body. Blood transfusion of a powered being to another may sometimes result in the obtaining of a new ability for a short period of time. As with all obtained abilities, there is a chance it might not happen, or that the ability can't be traced and therefore won't be obtained through blood transfusions.
