Fantasy Heroes of Bantras. (A modernized fantasy.)

IMG_0634.JPG Welcome to the mystical city of Bantras, a land of magic and technology coexisting in powerful harmony. All manner of creatures dwell here, from the mystical elves, to the numerous goblins, and everything in between.
Outside of the city there is a vast and beautiful expands that is the world of Aria.

But such beauty is not without danger. The city of Bantras, like most other cities are build upon the lay lines of light. Places where the dangerous beasts of darkness cannot spawn. However in the world there also exist lay lines of the darkness, places where the monsters are born in mass. For time immemorial The Denizens of the great cities have fought the forces of the darkness but only to a standstill, never could the tide of evil be stemmed. Now however things have changed, the city Of Bantras has been visited by a being named Alphaius, a being who claims to have the power to seal the dark lay lines and asks that those with courage join him in his quest to purge this world of darkness.
(So the basic summary is that a powerful being has arrived claiming to have the power to seal the dark laylines, this is the story of those who wish to join him for any reason, please avoid trying to make antagonists because we have plenty I assure you.)​

Age: ???
Race: Empyrean
Class: Champion
Personality: Alphaius seems to show signs of arrogance and carries himself with an air of superiority. That being said he is also generous and kind happily parting with the things he owns or granting power to those who deserve it.
Bio: ??? (I will reveal this as the story progresses.)
Weapons and armor:
All empyreans weild titan gear
Titans maul: The warhammer that Alphaus wields is a powerful artifact that is indestructible and can adjust its size to match his.
Titans Armor: The indestructible armor of alphaius adjusts its size with him as well as help to disperse the powerful impacts of his blows.
Powers:
Size manipulation: Alphaius is capable of changing his size at will from the size of an average man (6ft) to the size of a large giant (60ft), his strength will adjust accordingly.
Weather manipulation: Wind, lightinging, hail, and rain come to Alphaius's beck and call. He cannot perfectly control the weather but he can summon these nasty storms.
Super strength: Alphaius is very strong able to lift Several tons with ease, his strength also increases when he adjusts his size bringing it to levels that rival dragons and giants.
Super durability: Alphaius is immune to non magical weapons, mundane blades, arrows, and axes have no effects on him. Magical weapons can hurt him but even then he is resistant to permanent damage. His durability also increases with his size.
Super speed: Alphaius is quite fast, able to outrun horses and even faster creatures such as cheetahs. Magical beings who focus on speed can outrun him.Surprisingly he becomes even faster when he adjusts his size.
Flight: Alphaius is capable of flight but it cannot make him move faster than when he is on the ground. His flight speed is lowered considerably when he is giant
Regeneration: Alphaius can heal from wounds at a remarkable rate. Only things like being beheaded or having his heart removed will not heal.
Plane shift : perhaps the greatest power Alphaius possesses is his ability to travel between dimensions.
Power blast(Lightning,Concussion): Alphaius can discharge powerful blasts of electricity and concussive force. Weak beings are utterly destroyed by such attacks.
Weaknesses:
Arrogance: Alphaius has grown too powerful for his own good, he cannot fathom the possibility of his defeat, and as such leaves himself open constantly. Confident that he cannot be hurt.
Powerful Magic: those who use magic may find it hard to damage Alphaius at first... but enough magic will whittle down his resistance to it then he will be more and more vulnerable to it.
The Word of the gods: Alphaius knows the gods well, and must be careful not to infuriate them. His power is enough to disturb the balance and if he does so he may well lead himself to face their wrath.
Plane shift: traveling between dimensions is very tiresome. When he does so his powers are diminished (with the exception of his strength,speed, and durability.) he has to then rest for a few hours before his other abilities return.

Other: As serious as his claim of having the power to seal the dark laylines is...he seems to be very relaxed as if he were going for a stroll in a park and not a sacred quest to battle the forces of darkness.​

QUITE interested in this. Should I post a character sheet, or, are you just getting a feel for the 'general' interest in the idea as of now?

It's a little of both feel free to post a character. My only request is that we avoid making the usual vampires,werewolves,demons, and reapers as those all fall into the forces of darkness category.

Alright, I have to head on out to work at the moment - but maybe at break, lunch, or later this evening I can have one up. I had not planned on making any of those, either, haha. ;D

Name: Beau King.
Age: 25.
Race: Human.
Class: Warrior.
Personality: Beau is a cautious and tactical young man in much of everything he does. He surrounds himself only with those who he deems beneficial to him and his life in general. He is cool and calm and tends to lean on the more thoughtful side of things. Beau is also fiercely loyal, a born leader, and would go to the absolute ends to help out those close to him.
Bio: ((Work in progress, atm. It's late.))
Weapons and armor:
Beau is adorned in full plated armor most of the time. It is ornate, sturdy, and quite protective. In essence, Beau is what you would expect from a sword and shield wielding warrior or mercenary type. His blade is a lengthy broad sword with an etched, "B" in its hilt.

Age: 65
Race: human
Class: Monk
Personality: Ghost Face Killer is cold and calculating, speaking rarely, and mostly in riddles. He loves the thrill of combat and lives to punish demons.
Bio: Hanzo was born of the water clan, one of five legendary warrior monk clans in Bantras. He inherited the power of the ghost style and was a child prodigy, easily mastering whatever techniques he saw. He was secretly shunned for his innate abilities and was treated with feign kindness until he grew to his prime and was sent on a false mission with the five leaders of the clans to destroy a leyline but it was a trick, the leaders turned on him fearing his potential and beat him within an inch of his life, leaving him for dead at the leyline. Hanzo died that day, his body barely survived though his mind had forsaken his past, declaring himself the embodiment of righteous vengeance... The "Ghost Face Killer" returned to Bantras and sought vengeance on the five clan leaders with his powerful ghost style. He was tried by the city for murder but offered amnesty if he joined the Bantras monster hunters. Ghost Face Killer agreed, and spent the next twenty years slaying demons until he retired and took the position of Grand Shogun, combining the clans into one, and renaming it "the Wu-Tang Clan."
Weapons/armor: Ghost Face Killer wears no armor but does have a chinese straight sword. He is skilled with many various martial weaponry.
Powers: "Ghost Style" (Ghost Face Killer has the natural ability to phase briefly. In this state he is completely intangible, weightless, and controls his movement with his ki.)
"Water style" (Ghost Face Killer moves like water, reducing physical damage and making himself incredibly hard to strike. Also, any water nearby can be waterbended and used to strike or trap foes.)
"Earth style" (Ghost Face Killer coats his body in heavy stone, increasing his strength and durability exponentially.)
"Fire style" (Ghost Face Killer can generate and manipulate fire.)
"Wind style" (Gifts Ghost Face Killer the power of flight and allows him to create and launch powerful air bursts at opponents.)
"Lightning style" (Ghost Face Killer can move at incredible speeds and coat his attacks in lightning to pierce through most defenses.)
Weakness:
He can only use one style at a time. (He has to switch styles and it takes a few seconds. He will try to fill in the gaps of time with monologueing.)
Doesn't have much stamina. (Old man)
You see he's just a man... (Despite contrary belief he is mortal and can be killed like anyone else.)
Extra: (Feel free to post a character from The Wu-Tang Clan! They're basically elite monk warriors who pummel demons with the five elements!)

Race: Witch

Class: Sorcerer

Personality: Wise and reclusive, Adisa knows far more than she speaks. She is not easy to anger and even less easy to suprise. She is typically shrouded in secrecy, and is knowledgeable in both spiritual and physical matters. Adisa isn't very high maintenance. having spent most of her life independently.

Bio: She was raised by her mother, a powerful witch in her own right. But when her mother died she had to raise herself at the age of ten. She grew up in the swamp lands, growing in mind, body, and spirit. She was self trained and self taught in many ways. Her rapid learning was the result of the strong foundation of knowledge her mother was able to give her. She had plenty of experience in fending off dark forces. When she heard the call of Alphaius she was intrigued, and knew instinctively that she should join.

Weapons and Armor: She has no need to wear armor, having a knowledge of defensive magic. Though in weaponry she does carry a staff made a a strong bark and carved from ancient magic. It cannot be cut so long as she lives. Her magic allows her to change its shape to that of a regular bow staff or spear. Though she has other options those two forms are the most frequent.

Powers:

Healing - can restore biotic organisms to their optimal health, curing damaged or withered organisms, wounds, broken bones, low vitality, and diseases/poisoning. Though the user may potentially heal any form of bodily damage, the patient must be alive, even if hanging by a thin thread, in order to be healed; once the patient has died, it would transcend healing and would require resurrection instead.

Intangibility - can transforminto different elements (fire, water, etc.) to achieve a form of intangibility, allowing attacks to either pass right through them or be harmlessly absorbed into their bodies, depending on the user's element.

Sheild - can create walls from nothing or by shaping the existing matter or energy, they can shape the wall to any shape they want, but afterwards the walls are unchanging and immobile. Depending on what the wall is made of, it can posses a variety of abilities and be very effective in both offensive and defensive combat.

Telekinesis - can influence/manipulate/move objects/matter with their mind.

Illusion - can create illusions that are so realistic and powerful they can cause physical effects (cuts, bruises, burns, etc) to appear on the target and affect surroundings as they were real.

Mysticism - an untainted form of magic that can be used in many different ways such as creating, manipulating and/or mimicking objects, spirits and powers. Mysticism is often a result of an immediate spiritual intuition of truths transcending ordinary understanding, or of a direct, intimate union of the soul with primal forces of Creation through contemplation or ecstasy. Many users have supernatural patrons and access to magical objects.

Weaknesses:

Striking the mind- She has to be able to think to use her her magic at its most effective level. Head injuries can severely weaken her abilities.

Loyalty: She will not, under any circumstances, abandon a friend or comrade in need.

Brutality: While she is not physically weak, and can hold her own for quite awhile, headstrong enemies are dangerous for her. Someone with an excessive amount of endurance can tire her out and force her to retreat.

Under heat: She does not operate well under intense heat conditions and will be significantly slowed down.
