    declan’s quirk is transformation(?) style of quirk, the name itself speaks volume of what he can do. the quirk requires a set of negative emotions in order for it to be activated, whether it be anger, jealousy, arrogance or such— for declan it was mainly arrogance and his inflated ego, but sometimes it will be his undisclosed trauma he feeds off of. in activation, declan emits a dark grey fog that warps around his body, making him appear like a walking gas cloud. his eyes turn into a bright, vibrant red but sometimes will shift black depending on his emotions/mental state. he is also will grow a few inches taller when his quirk is activated, essentially the quirk turns him into a huge berserker.
    those that inhale the fog are consumed by an unmeasurable amount of rage, those who were once weak are now able to rip a phone book in half— it causes those around him to fight one each other. doesn’t matter who it is, if you are near you will be fought and sometimes killed by the hands of someone who you once loved. when he shows up to a scene, it’s immediately a war zone— considering the name.
    sadly there are several drawbacks for declan— for one, it’s very difficult for him to distinguish between friend and foe once his quirk is active. anyone and everyone is seen as a potential threat and will stop at nothing until you are down, so it makes it hard for him to work with others. another one is that people can wear gas masks in order to not be affected by his quirk, though they have to have a powerful filter in order to filter out the fog. the quirk itself is very destructive, causing a great deal of damage and loss as victims to his quirk will use anything and everything around them to inflict harm on themselves and others.

quirk name. Inkwell
quirk description. Dante can manipulate ink from inside or on him. He doesn't necessarily have any tattoos but can ink himself, create/give himself tattoos (it appears on him, actual ink and tool are not necessarily required). The ink can take projectiles (ones that can fit/be swallowed- the shell of a bazooka ain't going to fit) and spit them out from another part of himself that is inked. He can also extend this ink as extensions of himself or of the 'art' that it is however it cannot do long range extension, at best it's mid range and is still difficult; though some tattoos can shoot 'bullets' (these bullets however are more like pellets and less impactful than actual bullets- they'd only really be effective if he got someone in the eye or the mouth; but the closer they are there is more effect/blast). He must also stay hydrated to continue being not just healthy as a human being but to keep his quirk working and healthy, in other words if he's not sweating, something is terribly wrong.

— He is mute, he hasn't been known to speak whether it's by choice, trauma, or physically cannot. He uses index cards, post-it-notes, some kind of surface to write on, using marker or another writing instrument to communicate if not by a cellphone, text message. When writing he may use different "fonts," or styles, usually representative of his emotional state at that time but his texting is always lowercase or normal case (due to auto correct). He has shown no initiative in learning sign language.
— Empathetic. While there are things he struggles to understand, he can feel for someone, especially when going through a hard time. The phrase "I can only imagine..." he actually sits or stands their imagining the situation if he was in the others shoes; granted there aren't immediate threats to certain virtues.
— Virtues. Dante is learning to be a hero and even re-calibrating his moral compass, but there are things he has always been devout to. Protecting, especially the ones close to you and being real. In different lights, even these are tricky and cause him to question what these mean exactly and how to properly apply them. But in action, in the moment, these are his instincts.
— Hearing "being real," can be vague. For Dante, this means being true to yourself and not pretending to be something you aren't or to fit into some kind of mold or expectation, which can be difficult when you are trying to change for the better and become a hero. Easier said, it also means he doesn't casually lie or manipulate others, even to get what he wants. He is also openly expressive both in writing and in his face, and actions.
— Protecting others, he is having to learn to protect the whole, the bigger picture, rather than just those close to you. While he also doesn't lie or manipulate, if put in the position to protect someone through doing so and no other option, he will.
— He appears aloof, reserved, and intimidating, on first encountering him and if you don't approach him he is likely to continue appearing that way. In the classroom he may feel, look intense, irritated, or like a bomb, shaking his leg or tapping, fidgeting with a pen or pencil. There are times when he does have outbursts if he hasn't had any physical activity for a long period.
— As you get to know him, and it's most likely through activities (especially physical) that you do, you'll find he's an outgoing, charismatic person. Even if he can't talk, his gestures and actions speak for him when post-it-notes can't. Sometimes his tattoos illustrate him as well if paid mind to.
— Dante is someone who is feely-touchy, in general, he will quickly start placing hands on shoulders, ruffling hair, holding hands (this is not specific to SO's), and cuddling or holding as he gets to know others. As this is his default and cannot always pick up that others do not appreciate this feely-touchiness, it is best to make it clear to him to avoid it (such as plainly telling him OR hitting him), laughing nervously is not a clear indication.
— While he is feely-touchy he can feel stuffy, overwhelmed too; usually if many people are on him or giving him a lot of attention at one time. It's not quite the same as crowds watching you as you detain or fight criminals, more like people talking at you and inquiring about your health- ironically this fills him with such unease and anxiety he becomes sick and usually will put his head in his hands and sit down if he isn't already.
— Dante has quit smoking a semester before going to H.U. He has occasional smoker's cough due to the cilia still repairing itself fully and removing the toxins from his lungs. Another thing he does is hold "stick-like" foods (celery, pretzel stick, beef jerky, etc.) in his mouth, or even hands, as if they were a cigarette. There is a 50% chance if someone is smoking around him he wordlessly walks up and put's out their cigarette, if not for their own good then for the temptation being removed.
— His vices are sex and bourbon, though he quotes everything is fine in moderation, he does not always practice it and will become flustered when pointed out. Food could also count as a vice but he usually balances this one out pretty healthily. While he can deny himself cigarettes these two things are much more difficult. He usually craves bourbon at night, sex whenever.
— His love for food and flavor is indescribable, but one of his favorite foods are hamburgers, eating them with barbecue sauce, bacon, and heat.
— For as much as he loves food and eats it, he also hydrates, it is especially important for him and his quirk, Inkwell.
— He doesn't drink coffee, he tries to avoid diuretics in general. Water, milk, juice, and health shakes for this man.
— While he struggles in typical school subjects, he is not unintelligent, he just requires a method of learning different to the average school curriculum. He struggles the most with math, and has a hard time keeping up if he doesn't get one on one tutoring/teaching. He is a kinesthetic learner, and can learn by watching or visualizing, but it's hard for him to sit still and listen to lectures. He often wants to apply information. Music may also help.
— He does not know or fully understand how to do certain things, including taxes. This may be because he had started having an a-typical adult life and had too many different jobs in a year. These small or side jobs were haphazard for him as his gang membership often supplied him with enough money and saw it as his real job (you don't exactly put gang member as your occupation for the government). Currently someone else is doing his taxes for him.
— He has to mandatory meet with his social worker once every two weeks to help transition him.
— Dante has always rough housed with the neighborhood kids if not got in fights, whether they were a few years younger or upper classmen. He went into wrestling and later foot ball and ballet. He actually enjoys wrestling and ballet more than football. Dante also works out and can bench press 380 lbs. He wants to work up to 400 lbs. or more.
— He faults himself and the hero mentioned in his history for the death of his parents and friend. Since he has to become a hero anyways, he seeks to be better than that hero.
— He essentially feels like a piece of trash human being, but he's trying to climb out of the dumpster and recycle into someone better.
— Some of his crimes were assault & battery, drug trafficking, accessory to murder, robbery, and vandalism.


history.

Dante Fell was born in Louisiana, his family moved around a lot and so his many homes were small, low standard houses and trailers. Much of his childhood was keeping himself busy while Ma and Pa worked if he wasn't at school. While there are people who would look down on his economic situation and there were indeed many times where they struggled, he feels there was nothing wrong with it, it's just not the "rich" lifestyle so many people chase after.

Dante became involved in gang related activity during high school. At the time he had not understood what exactly he was getting into, he thought he was just hanging with the boys (girls, and pals). Before he knew it he became more and more involved in their criminal levels, usually drug trafficking and violence. He reached a point where he realized he was becoming a criminal, if not already one (he was), and wasn't sure if being a criminal was okay, or the walk of life he wanted, but unconvinced he had the choice to change his way. Gangs did not take kindly to retirement or betrayal.

A turning point, he was pursued and arrested along with other members during a bust operation. After all had been detained, or successfully escaped, one of the heroes on the scene had been watching a him and one other member, a friend his age. That hero had also brought their families to see them, in the hope that t would help them change their ways. Before the intervention could finish as intended, a counterattack in retaliation from the same gang attacked and his family and his friend died in the crossfire. Dante would have died as well if not for his quirk swallowing the bullets and spitting them out. After this, he became mute, and was given the ultimatum of becoming a hero or going to prison.

Can transform into a large wolf (about 8 feet high) or stop the transformation prematurely to assume one of two different humanoid variants; a traditional werewolf form (where he grows taller, becomes more muscular, and develops claws, sharp teeth, pointed ears, yellow eyes, and grayish fur all over his body) or a half-werewolf form (where he becomes slightly more muscular and develops claws, sharp teeth, yellow eyes, and patches of fur along the sides of his face and forearms). Each form grants varying increases in strength, endurance, speed, and enhanced senses, with his wolf form having the maximum and his half-werewolf form the minimum. His wolf form is strong enough to destroy medium-sized buildings and constructions, such as large factories or large complexes such as supermarkets. Staying in any of his transformations for too long will result in the accumulation of bloodlust—an uncontrollable urge to kill or maim others without discrimination. If too much bloodlust is accumulated, he loses control over his own body, transformation, and humanity. He turns into his wolf form and goes feral, driven by nothing more than the wolf-like instincts inside him. The only way of reverting back to his human form and regaining control is losing consciousness. The stronger his transformation, the less time he has before being consumed by bloodlust (e.g. his wolf form is more susceptible to bloodlust, while his half-werewolf form is the least, and therefore gives him the most amount of time to keep his quirk activated).

    quirk description. emitter-type quirk that allows its user to control others through maintaining contact with their shadows. This is done through shadow-on-shadow contact (i.e. the user’s shadow is touching their opponent’s shadow in some way).     history.

    brief background.
    Castor spent his childhood in Detroit, MI. His parents divorced when he was about 12 years old due to his father’s substance abuse. His mother gained full custody and the two moved to a small town in Connecticut to be closer to his mother’s side of the family. Castor developed a sarcastic and cynical personality to cope with these sudden changes. After the move, he had a somewhat typical adolescence. However, he kept his friends at an arm's length, afraid of having to uproot and leave them once again. Castor always finds himself reminiscing on one childhood friend in particular, a boy named Magus. The two promised that they would see each other again, but neither had expected that it would be at the illustrious Hero University.

Wearing giant baggy black clothing doesn't help his small and harsh appearance either. Underneath all that though is a steady body, an especially muscular back that seems as if it could support just about anything thrown at him.
    The only body modification he has is a singular piercing on his right ear, him and Harley having done that to each other on a whim.

    quirk name. Devil's Deal
    quirk description. The user can sacrifice attributes in order to raise another for a limited period of time. Multiple can be done at once if they are in moderation, the effects will stack and the timer will shorten appropriately as if one larger deal was made instead of having multiple in place. i.e. Taking part of their hearing to increase strength, and then taking part of their vision to increase speed while the other is still in effect will greatly shorten the duration and act as if one bigger deal was made instead of two smaller ones and thus effects him as a greater one would with blowbacks. The more important the attribute is to the user for function, the more power it holds to give strength. Things like smell don't give much at all whereas giving strength would give a nice boost to what it is sacrificed for.
    drawbacks. Time limit. The deal works as a timer, a smaller sacrifice for a smaller gain can last a longer time. Large transfers expire much quicker along with causing disorientation upon return to normal attributes as the body readjusts. Attempting to stress out the time limit too far may lead to bodily harm and permanent bodily changes with the sacrificed attribute, Julian's hearing is already a bit muffled because he took his training to raise his limit too far once before.

    brief background.
    Julian's been pretty stagnant his whole life, it was a surprise to hear about his admittance at H.U when he never showed any desire to be a hero. In fact, he never showed interest in anything really. He was a military kid and ended up having to move around a lot, never spending the time to make friends. He'd just be there, and one day have to pack everything up and vanish. Time just passed as a blur because of that, any activities were just time-slots to fill in until the next move.
    Until Harley that is.
    It was supposed to just be a summer fling after Julian's sophmore year. But he fell, hard and fast. And after a bit over a year of being together, it was time to move once again. Instead of talking it out, Julian decided to pick a fight to break things off. Still, after he left town so soon after, Harley managed to track him down to send letters. He realized what Julian did and forgave him, but Julian never responded back and slowly the letters stopped coming in.
    After that, Julian spent the next couple years training and applied for H.U. His parents suspect Harley may have said something in those letters to inspire him, but that's all just conjecture.

    quirk name. "living voodoo doll"
    quirk description.
    emitter type where he can transfer wounds on himself and take the damage. He can then transfer the wounds to another person as well, weaponizing this ability to an extent. though he must at first take the injury upon themselves meaning life threatening wounds and those that make him unconscious ect, would not allow for transferring to someone else. This ability does not depending on him taking someone else's injuries first, he can simply break his own arm or cut himself and then transfer that injury to his opponent. Injuries that are more than 15 minutes old cannot be transferred. He doesn't have any healing abilities so while he can help someone, he is still taking their injury and has to heal like any ordinary person. His quirk requires him to be up close and personal which carries it's own drawbacks.

    brief background.
    The son of a very rich ceo, his dad runs several hero support organizations that deal in supplies and items for heroes. Grew up in a wealthy household with a loving, albeit often absent, father. his mother passed away when he was young from cancer. an only child and absolutely spoiled, any trouble he got into never lasted as his father would pay to make it go away. bit of an asshole solely bc he was never taught otherwise. incredibly blunt and will say whatever is one his mind. protective over his few friends, and not afraid to get into fights. has a short temper but gets over it just as quickly. Very competitive and hates losing, however its only worth it if its a fair fight. will not tolerate cheating or someone letting him win. Very reckless due to not being able to feel pain, this gets him into danger often and has to rely on his smarter responsible friends to rein him in. Has slightly fucked up morals in that he thinks beating up weak people is boring and pathetic and will punch anyone that does that. kinda knows what right and wrong is but like it's his own version.
