Terrianian Empire

FOtkqY3.png

Motive

To achieve ultimate neutrality, become a bustling trade empire.

History

Within the country of Terrian, during the old age of empires, this empire was once an oppressive empire, ruled by an oppressive king. But, after a successful rebellion, the old empire fell and this empire took it's place. Four leaders will rule this empire, each will have to be single and heavily trained to put the people first.

Trade

Mountains-thanite(heavily protective material), water, gryphons, lightest heavy armor and weapons(not too protective), mountain-based farm-provided goods, winter clothes.

Plains-lantite(basic protective material), viudite(light protective material), water, pegasi, light armor and weapons, basic farm-provided goods, art, basic clothes.

Desert-hameedite(desert-based basic protective material), water, demigriphons(wingless), light-desert armor and weapons, fruits, desert clothing and fabric, desert-based farm-provided goods.

Desert/Plains-criatite(light protective material), water, ships, light armor and weapons, mercenaries, fruits, fabrics, art and basic/desert-based farm-provided goods.

Economy

Heavily capitalistic, but will intervene when a product affects the health of an individual.

Technology/magic

The technology of the empire allows them to have canons-rifles and pistols. The firearms fire one thanite pellet per each shot, and must be reloaded after each shot. Although there is magic, only a few people can harness its power. There are only 500 mages in the empire.

Religion

The people of Terrian worship six gods. Five "good" gods and one "bad" good. Thanitus, god of war and winter. Lantius, god of knowledge and warmth. Viuditas, god of magic and astronomy. Hameed, god of fire, sand and water. Criatius, god of healing and peace.

Caria, god of evil, corruption, sin and punishment. Caria is a god of punishment, and seeks of destroy all that is holy. When someone commits too much sin, one becomes and demon of Caria. Their flesh turns to flame, but still holds the properties of flesh, as their bones harden, their memories are wiped with no chance of being reclaimed. One's practically dead when one becomes a demon.

Culture

The culture of Terrian is split into four different cultures. The mountains are more protective, responsible and active. The desert is more active and traditional. The plains are very city and trade-loving. And the desert/plains areas are obviously a mix of both. Civilians enjoy a wonderful life in the empire, having decent education, clean food and water, cleaning supplies, decent freedoms and a plethora of jobs.

Military

The military, named the Terrian Brigade, is made up of Terran legionaries, sand legionaries, conquadins, franzguard, riflemen/cannonmen, hussars and rangers. Higher rank is shown through engravings and golden equipment. The higher the rank, the more engravings and golden equipment.

The Orctan Confederation

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_05/Untitled.png.9952973150c2d568d7315eae0ab68698.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="128855" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_05/Untitled.png.9952973150c2d568d7315eae0ab68698.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Motive

To live life to the fullest, not just the longest

History

Originally, these where all scattered northern tribes of orcs. A series of very harsh winters forced them into the northern lowlands, where they hand to compete with other groups of orcs for territory. Being the odd ones out, and facing organized resistance, the northern orc hordes confederated so as to fight off the coalition forces of the lowland orcs. This went on for decades, with small-scale guerilla-style raids. Eventually, shamans from both sides came together and put an end to the fighting after a Head Shaman was elected.

Trade

These Orcs, when they do partake in trade, will often trade in:

Leathers, Furs, Timber, Ores & Other (non-gem) Minerals, (Simple) Casted Goods, and Religious (often bone) Trinkets.

Economy

Population centers tend to focus on subsistence farming or nomadic hunting, trading with others is only ever done out of need. Local wealth is only ever generated from raiding and piracy. This is done via organized large-scale raiding parties, under orders from this confederation, who will attack wandering merchants and trading ships of smaller nations. These organized raiding parties will continue to raid the land & sea trade routes of said nations, until said nations pay a boon. It is no surprise that trading with other factions is rare, as such, much of this confederations economy fallows an internal barter system (prices and values are often determined by the needs of those trading).

Technology/Magic

Technologically speaking, their is not much to say. This nation does not make any alloys, such as steel or bronze, primarily relying on casting. Other than the casting of metals and the shipbuilding of state shipwright, their is little to no industry found here. Overall, these are a simple people. Anything more advanced then them, such as guns or cannons, are likely stolen. Magic is also not all that prevalent, often left to the shaman class. Often then not, these tend to be glorified alchemists who act as wandering medicinemen.

Religion (Gods)

Kuatoa, the sleazy & sadistic god of truth, assassins, and robbers (lonely of which he is nice to) is said to take the form of a matured male with the traits of a lizard. He is short and has an athletic build. His eyes are more like the eyeholes of a skull and his skin is jet-black. His mouth is large. He is usually portrayed as wearing a flattering robe-n-cloak made from human dreams (which is that of a robber). He is said to carries a lens, a satchel of tools, and a sword-breaker.

Duhella, the goddess of Light and Prophets takes the form of a maiden with the head of a lioness. She has tanned skin and small fully-yellow eyes. She has a tall and elegant build. Her outfit is that of a (somewhat-sexy) shaman. She is always surrounded by an aura of light. She carries a spear, which is disguised as a walking stick. Her true form of is of a cloud, made of eyes, which is in the shape of a lioness.

Beltrra, the unhappy & withdrawn goddess of cold takes the form of an adult orcish woman. She is said to share traits with flying squirrel. She is very short and has a slender build, except for her wide-hips. Her wide eyes have purple pupils. She is usually portrayed as wearing a suit of armor made from the primeval material of the universe. She brings snow and frost wherever she goes and is the oldest god worship among these orcs.

Wuaran, the pragmatic goddess of Music and Bloodshed takes the form of an adult woman. She is hourglass-figured with large hips. She has long, straight, blood-red hair which she uses to cover her face like a mask. She has dark purple eyes and white skin. She is usually portrayed as wearing a tight suit of armor and a necklace. She carries sheet music and a boomerang. She can take the form of a large red cat and has the ability to drive people into madness with here music.

Elyssa, the rebellious goddess of Villainy, Killing, and Money takes the form of an adult-maiden with the traits of a deer. She is inhumanly tall and has a somewhat curvy but mostly amazonian build. Her eyes are midnight black and her pupils are brown. She has violet skin. Her outfit is in the style of a barbarian, which is mostly made from human corpses. She has arms that split into three arms at the elbow. She devours the souls of the slain. She carries a sword and hammer. She can give anyone the ability to detect lies. Her true form is that of a chimera, which is a deer-raven hybrid.

Aleath, the Goddess of Alchemy, Cooking, and Valour is surprisingly plain, with pale skin, short flowing dark-red hair and eyes the color of dark-grey (with a blue-ish tint). She is very tall and muscular, and rarely laughs. She usually wears rich robes dyed bright scarlet and white. She is also associated with forests which she haunts often. She is often worshiped by wanderers. Her almost fanatical followers can be primarily distinguished by their jewelry. There are widespread shrines to her on islands. There are many myths involving her wild romance with mortals. She is known to place challenges before distressed mortals, which, if successful, she will consider them as a lover. She has many mortal's in her bloodline as she has had many mortal children.

Culture

Culturally, orcs are named after events or deeds. Their are those among this society of orcs that remain unnamed, though this is not a good things as being unnamed is similar to being an animal. You are not really a person until you have been given or earned the right to have a name. Orcs tend to be more traditional, so although the woman will run much of the household, the male is considered head and will be consulted on major decisions. Orcs, in times of upheaval, will look to their shamans as most settlements have at least three. Organized religions has little meaning here, instead, each orc is left to worship as they see fit. Although the Head Shaman leads this confederations, in matters of war, a Warboss supersedes the Head Shaman.

The Ruska Empire (WIP)

wessex-flag-4343-p.png

Motive(s):
The Ruska Empire seeks to dominate the World through Commerce and Military might. Viewing primitive cultures as barbarians who need the guiding hand of Imperialism to move them towards the path of righteousness.

History:
The area the Empire now rules was once several Kingdoms each ruled by a separate monarch it was not until Ruska a prominent Kingdom in the Region was able to defeat the combined armies of the other Kings in the Battle of Hangman's crossing was the Empire truly formed in the ensuing peace deal. The Empire may appear wholly united today, but this is only in name. The Empire is ruled by a single Emperor elected by the various Kings and Dukes of Ruska. Each King rules there own Kingdom fairly autonomously and maintains their own military.

Trade:
The Empire is a bustling Trade Empire based upon its early Industrial Revolution. It exports manufactured goods, the Empire is known for its superb Firearms, and manufactured goods.

Economy:

Technology/magic (cannot have an even amount of the two):
The Empire Shuns magic as the useless art of barbarians and shaman. What the Empire lacks in Magic it by far makes up for in Technology.

Military:
The Army of Ruska is based upon the pike-shot formation. Pikes form the strong frontline while the musket men would rain volleys upon enemy formations. Should the musket men be charged or threatened they merely retreat behind the Pike-wall. Calvary form the third, but still essential portion of the Ruskian Army. The Calvary functions in a very similar manner to other nations. It acts as a mobile and hard-hitting force capable of flanking and cutting through exposed troops. For artillery support the Empire relies on cannons to reek havoc in the enemies lines.

Reconquer the rightful lands of the Great Wolverine Empire

History:
After the fall of the Great Wolverine Empire the wolverine people were divided into multiple nations, one being the Wolverine Order. The Wolverine Order is a bigger nation of the Wolverine kind, but to reclaim all that was lost to the collapse will take a great

leader.

Trade: The Wolverine Order is known to have some of the largest gold mines in the world. A large amount of woods in the area allow logging industries to thrive.

Economy: The Wolverine Order relies on gold for a good amount of its income, but has been reinforcing its logging industry.

Technology/magic (cannot have an even amount of the two): The Technology of the Wolverine Order is retained from the Great Wolverine Empire. The technology is medieval class. The magic of the nation is also based off of the Great Wolverine Empire, but learning a few new spells never hurt anybody. The Wolverine Order is based around magic for most things, and only uses technology when building structures.

Religion: The Wolverine Order's main god/goddess, like the Great Wolverine Empire's, is Leto (Greek goddess of wolves). Every full moon, they howl in honor to Leto, unless they are at war.

Leader(s): The current leader is Silver of the Jagbomb Dynasty. A powerful leader who cares more about his people than himself. Next in line is Storm of the Jagbomb Dynasty. A playful pup.

The Imperium of Man

latest

Motive(s): To unite man and others under the will of the emperor, to once and for all end the internal fighting within this world.

History: Eighty years ago the Imperium was never around. Instead in its place were seven small human nations, all of which had their own ambitions of world conquest. But before they did that they knew that the only way to ever have the first step in that path was to defeat their fellow neighbors. Out of all the seven nations only two had the large military strength to actually put up a fight and within a that one year only two nations remained. The first nation was to the east while the other was to the west. Both were content to fight each other to place their superiority over the other however they were both evenly matched. So for now they remained in a non-aggression pact and built up. Then when they both finally decided to fight each other, the result was a bloody and horrifying war. Both sides were suffering heavy casualties and it of course involved the population, no one was safe. The population were scared for their life as families and friends watched the one's they knew and loved be drafted off to the military, starve to death, or be killed in the worst ways. The people looked to anybody that would bring an end to this carnage, and some people went to drastic measures of joining cults or rebel groups. However just when the war would seem to explode on everybody, someone had arisen from within the region. A mysterious man had suddenly arrived with an army of 1,000, men who wore armor that made them look like holy warriors sent from the heavens, but they were beings that stood eight feet tall, strong, and fought with fury that no one could stop. There was even rumors that a few of these warriors had the ability to wield magic. When reports of both the nations armies being slaughtered by this mysterious opponent reached the kings. They decided to put their focus on this third opponent. However their armies were fatigued, the population hated both sides, and the treasurys were also being runned dry after trying to hire mercs. The population looked to this new army that had somehow been able to take on both the ruthless kings armies and gladly opened their arms to them. The man leading this army of holy warriors nicknamed himself Rurk. He had told the population that for many years he had traveled across the land and watched his people from the sidelines for many years. But after watching so many wars start and many nations falling and people suffering. He knew that he had to take things into his own hand, he looked to the people and promised that if he were to be made their Emperor, not only would their be peace, but a stronger nation. A nation that would outmatch the other mighty empires, a nation where his personal warriors would protect, a nation that would truly one day unite the world. Those who appose him shall face the taste of his hammer, those who dare to invade his people shall face his wrath. Rurks popularity got so far that even armies began to kneel before this man. Within a few months the majority of the people of both nations sided with the man who was considered more then a mere man but less then a god.

Trade: The Imperium only trades within its touching borders, and rely solely on trade. They are self-reliant and can sustain themselves of their economy.

Economy:
With the industrialization now just starting people from all over are flocking to cities. With that the farms are open for sale to the rich that are able to help produce more food with better methods, and with plenty of people working in the cities. The Imperium uses gold as its currency.

Technology/magic (cannot have an even amount of the two):
The nation for the most part is very lenient towards Technology. Having the Imperiums main military being given cannons, early model guns, equipment, and even the first steam tank which was personally constructed and came up by the Emperor. However it is still conducting through the prototype phase and is still awaiting for final results. The populace has also been introduced to the early phases of industrialization. The populace before the Emperor had come into power were still in the medieval tech but rapidly advance after the Emperor immediately started to focus on competing with other nations in tech. Magic is not very everyday life but it is not rare, at least for the military. The Emperor himself knows how to conduct magic and uses it and including his primarchs. He even used his magic to help construct an army of super soldiers which he used to create the imperium in the first place. Other then the emperor and his glorious personal military branch that he himself created, their are also a couple hundred mages that serve the Emperor in his quest for knowledge and improvement of technology and understanding of magic. The populace tho doesn't really touch that stuff.

Religion:
The Imperium doesn't tolerate any religion whatsoever, whether it be actually peaceful or full of evil all of such are banned. This is mainly do to the Emperor not believing in the superstition. Tho he acknowledges that there are such beings with immense power but does not bow to such. He himself with the accomplishments he has conducted make even himself look like a god by his people. In reply to this however he disavows that and only states:

"I am you and you are me, we are all but man. Reaching to accomplish the impossible and to bring peace to the world. Be faithful! Be strong! Be vigilant!"

Leader(s):
Only the Emperor soley rules the Imperium, but he of course has his Sons or "Primarchs" to help maintain the land.

The Ekodo Empire

PgCFudO.jpg

Motive(s): To take over the Akavir desert, and kill all that get in their way. Their name literally meaning "Conqueror's Empire".

History: The Ekodo Empire started off as a small village in a very large desert known as the Akavir desert, the people of the Ekodo empire adapted to its harsh climate, soon a strong leader from a nearby desert village conquered the village. The leader wasn't satisfied, essentially all of the defenders of the village either ran away or were killed. The leader conquered a large portion of the desert, creating the Ekodo Empire.

Trade: The Ekodo Empire is said to be filled with salt mines, some platinum mines as well.

Economy: Most of the Ekodo Empire income comes from the common and vast salt mines.

Technology/magic: All magic is banned and only the guardians may use muskets.

Religion: When the Ekodo Empire conquers a region, they will most likely allow the people they conquered to stay their current religion. The Ekodo Empire's religion is known as Quiid, which teaches that anyone can have a personal relationship with God, as long as good deeds are done. The followers of Quiid believe in reincarnation, karma, and the afterlife.
