Nick turned to her when she spoke up."I got permission silly, plus I think sneaking off to there every once and awhile isn't bad." He snickered before walking over to her."So what're you reading?" He leans over.

Sean had already noticed Violet so it was too late, he was already lunging towards her from behind and was about ready to lift her up in a hug from behind with a mischievous snicker.

"Poisonous plant handbook and no I haven't been testing more potions unsupervised. Madam Promfrey has been very helpful after she heard my reasoning about why I do it." Ruby says, bookmarking her page and closing the book "I was playing with Storm too, see." she says magically lifting the branch and she blinks "Huh, guess I don't really need a wand for that now."

Violet ducks out of the way "No, you are not dragging me into whatever pranks you guys are doing." she warns him "Besides, they hate me after one of their pranks made a first year fall down the stairs and I hexed them, after making sure the kid was okay of course, poor Neville."

Nick puts his broom against the tree before sliding down to sit and offered her a sweet, fudge flies."I would have to fuss if you were doing more potions unsupervised and I feel like wands are special to us." He shrugged.

Sean pouts."How did you know I was coming for you? Sour sport." He poked his tongue out and still followed her around."We're not even going to do pranks, just playing around." He tells her.

"Believe it or not I recognize some of the twin's handywork." Violet tells him and she points to the ground where there's still some leftover snow "Also you were loud, why are you following me around anyway? Weren't you hanging out with your friends?"

"I use it, but my grandparents use wandless magic, I generally need my wand but I guess I've used the spell often enough to use without one." Ruby says, politely declining the sweet "I usually throw it by hand, maybe that's why it works."

Nick puts the sweet away in his bag, he wasn't sure if he could do wandless magic."People using wandless magic is very uncommon around here." He points out before pulling out the sketchbook.

Sean looked towards the snow and he pouts before turning his attention to her again."I mean you're my friend aren't you? Can't I hang out with you as well and not just them?" He pokes her arm a couple times.

"Silent spells, wandless magic, we once had a exchange student from another school and they didn't even own a wand." Ruby tells him and she shrugs "I just find it useful, allows you to use magic if you need it in an emergency and you don't have your wand with you."

"Sure you can, but as I said, at least half of those guys hate me." Violet says and she shrugs "And I was on my way to ask the headmistress a few questions, which I prefer to do in private if you don't mind."

Nick pulls out some pencils as he wanted to color in a few of his drawings."It's handy sure but I don't know how well I'd be at doing that kind of magic anyway." He shrugged as he went on coloring.

Sean stepped away from her."Well I don't hate you so that should count for something but okay, go on then." He waved a hand like telling her to go."I'll be out here later."

"But I won't be." Violet tells him as she keeps walking and she hums a song, she's not even sure how long that conversation is gonna take, could be very short or very long depending on what the headmistress wanted to share.

"I think it basics are the same and I didn't even realize I wasn't using my wand since I was also reading." Ruby tells him and she smiles "Also, try not to tear out any pages of that sketchbook, I'm glad you like it by the way."

Nick sighed."I did that one time to give you a drawing and you won't let that go." He pouts before smiling."It is a thoughtful gift, I use it whenever I've got inspiration." He explains and hands it to her.

"That's good, I had my aunt fly it over when I heard I couldn't go with them." Ruby says and she looks through it "Of course she also send a bunch of sweets, but I ate those pretty quickly, can't beat muggly candy.". Storm sits up and he growls in the distance, towards the forest "And I imagine that's our cue to go inside, Storm smells something in the direction of the forest." Ruby says, handing the sketchbook back and getting up.

Nick takes his sketchbook once she was finished, he had alot of drawings in there already."Well uh what do you think is out there that is triggering Storm in this way though?" He gets up quickly with his bag once he stashed the sketchbook in it and threw it over his shoulder.

"Well Storm doesn't like a lot of magical creatures, somehow she likes Thestrals and Hippogriffs, but not much else." Ruby explains and she whistles for Storm to stop growling and come too "Besides, if it's close enough she can smell it and it is dangerous then I'd rather not stay outside.", not that they'd know if it's dangerous or not, but she's not taking chances.

Nick glanced over at the woods then back over to them with a quirked brow, its not like incidents haven't happened at Hogwarts so he wasn't about to take his chances, he gets up and escorts them back inside the castle itself, would be safer there.

"On the off chance it is dangerous, do you think we should warn the headmistress?" Ruby asks and she frown slightly, they had no idea what it was, just that it was something Storm didn't like, which could be a tons of things really.

Nick goes through fhe doors to get inside the castle."Uh perhaps, the teachers can protect the school but I wouldn't raise too much of an alarm." He points out."Might just be a wondering beast gotten too close to fhe castle grounds." He tells her.

"True, but still." Ruby mumbles and she sighs "Maybe I'm overthinking it." she mumbles as she stretches "You know that Harry kid? Why do some people treat him like he's famous?" she asks, changing the subject since she's genuinly curious about it.

Nick walks beside her as he carries his book with him."He's the boy who lived, he survived the killing curse against you know who and that's why people tend to consider him famous as lots of people know who he is." He explains.

"Really? He doesn't seem to care much for being famous, honestly I'd find it more annoying. Have you noticed how that first year Weasley is trying extremely hard to be his friend?" Ruby asks, she had talked to Harry a bit, mostly to answer questions about her old school.

Violet leaves the transfiguration classroom and sighs, well that was useful, somewhat, she looks at the book in her bag and closes it, heading back to the library to go read it.
