Ara's Marauders Era - Harry Potter Roleplay Characters
Hello All, I'm Ara and I'm looking to do some during Hogwarts Marauders Era Rping. I decided to post character apps so that you can see how I play each character that I'd Like to play. I Mostly Do M x M, but I will occasionally do M x F. They generally lead to some level of romance or seduction, but I love the chase more than the catching, so generally at least one character is seemingly against it or fighting it.
The Harry Potter Marauders Era Pairings I'm Interested in Are: (in order)
Sirius Black x Remus Lupin
Lucius Malfoy x Regulus Black
Lucius Malfoy x Sirius Black
Remus Lupin x Regulus Black
Severus Snape (You'd have to play Snape as I don't think I can do him justice) x Regulus Black
James Potter x Lily Evans
Besides Severus Snape I am willing to play any of the characters above, but I do have an order of preference:
Highest Priority /Favs: Sirius Black, Regulus Black, Remus Lupin.
Occasionally Enjoy / Will Also Do: Lucius Malfoy, Lily Evans, James Potter.
(Posts may not be as long as the posts below as the ones shown are topic starters. And you’ll notice that Remus’ app reads differently than the others, but that is because it’s from a site I was on and I like how it came out. )Sirius Black x Remus Lupin
Lucius Malfoy x Regulus Black
Lucius Malfoy x Sirius Black
Remus Lupin x Regulus Black
Severus Snape (You'd have to play Snape as I don't think I can do him justice) x Regulus Black

If you are Interested in roleplaying with me let me know and we'll talk details.
At the moment I will only roleplay on this site.
I did make a tab for possible thread ideas for some of the pairings. I can come up with a lot more when talking so post a comment if you'd like to discuss it.

Character History:
Sirius Orion Black was born and raised as a true noble house of Black family member. Growing up he was taught to loathe muggles and muggleborns and to hold Purebloods up as higher beings. Practically in the place of gods. There was only one problem with the plan to make Sirius into the perfect pureblood heir, and that was Sirius’ natural born rebellious streak.
It had all started with one word said by an adamant object, “Gryffindor!” That’s right, in a family that upheld the pureblood values and in which every other member had only ever ended up in Slytherin, Sirius has become the very definition of the rival behavior. The blood traitor house.
It didn’t help that Sirius actually thrived there. He’d always found his house and family to be mainly pompous and boring, and while he certainly normally had the confidence traits he’d never wanted to be the heir of the noble house of black. Heirs were always responsible for things, boring, stuffy, unimportant things that they made important. All his prior life he’d been looking for an out and Gryffindor was it. A few friends and a few pranks later he had finally found his place. One of fun and freedom. James Potter in particular became a close friend and it was partying, pranks, and passion as far as the eyes can see.
With a bit of adjustment, Sirius began to lose his family inflicted judgments, shedding his muggle hating ways like a cloak. In the beginning his family had major hints that his trouble making nature was not going to go into the direction that they hoped. The more owls home and Gryffindor behaviors that popped up, the more his parents shifted their hopes and attention to his younger brother Regulus. By third year Sirius brought his rebellion home in the form of strongly casted sticking spells with posters of muggle machinery, bikini clad muggle women, and the Gryffindor crest. Outright rebellion made it so that his parents began to get more hands on with their punishments. Which is when the countdown really began.
Sirius had always been both mature and immature with his age. In first year he was already beginning to tease girls, by third he was teasing teachers, and by fifth and the introduction of actual puberty, Sirius realized that girls were not his only option. At least according to his body. The biggest problem with this was that not only did the entire population of Hogwarts dub him as some ladies man, but he had some very close relationships with males. Males that he didn’t want to lose for any reason, especially that of biology. Because of this Sirius decided to keep it to himself so as not to even have the possibility to lose his friends. He had already at this age done enough that he felt he had to be dangling by the friendship rope for most of them as it was, and he refused to deliver the final blow. After all without his friends he had nothing.
Right after the announcement of sixth year, Sirius got into a huge fight with his parents, which effectively got him blasted from the family tree at about the same time he drove his magically enhanced magical motorcycle off the property. With no where else to go Sirius wound up at the Potter’s door, the place he’d always gone to escape his dark family life. With open arms they accepted him into their house and Sirius will never forget there kindness.
Now its sixth year and a lot of things have changed. Sirius isn’t sure where his emotions are coming from or going to lately. He feels guilt about leaving Regulus to deal with the repercussions of what most would view as selfish actions. He feels guilt about hiding his biggest secret from his friends but at this point can’t afford for them to know. Lately he’s been having to deal with feelings towards one of his closest friends, having just worked on getting over another, without them knowing that’s how he feels.
So basically Sirius has a lot on his plate and as someone who has always been a hairs thread away from insanity, he is just trying not to top the balance anymore. Will he be able to hide his feelings behind the mask of a charismatic sexy clown? Or will his feelings get the better of him? It wouldn’t be the first time.
Only time will tell.
Appearance
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Gray / Grey
Height: He doesn’t like to talk about it -whispers- 5’ 7”
Other characteristics:
Sirius Orion Black is one very sexy man and boy does he know it. Although his hair length is never shorter than his shoulders, Sirius’ hair length tends to be related to his emotional state. The more upset he is, the longer his locks get to grow. But he’d never go shorter than touching his chin, luckily or unluckily as it were, he’s never found himself in danger of losing too much length.
Having come from an aristocratic household, something was bound to rub off on Sirius and he finds that this mostly has affected his wardrobe. With the help of some very good charms and the occasional gift from the Potters that he will accept, he is able to wear fashionable robes most of the time. He’s rather vain, so he tends to brush his hair more often than your average teenage male, especially when he’s feeling particularly energized or has a date anyway.
Although he enjoys looking sexy and smelling good, Sirius is not afraid to get down and dirty, in a number of senses of the word. He has his days when he lets his hair go wild and has forgotten to change out of his night clothes more than once during his school career, usually because he is by no means a morning person. That’s assuming he’s wearing any.
Overall Sirius’ hypnotic gray eyes, sinful often smirking mouth, long hair, athletic body, and sensuous movements make him quite the commodity at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Very few could truthfully dispute that fact.

Personality overview:
The truth of the matter is that very few people wish to know the Sirius Black that’s past the flirtatious wink, mischievous smirk, and witty repartee. People don’t want to know that although Sirius is honestly confident a lot of the time, he still has insecurities and known weaknesses just like everyone else.
Sirius Black is more complicated then anyone could ever know, including his friends. Because that’s how Sirius wants it to be. As long as he is able to put his more socially acceptable or personally believed to be better qualities on display, he will.
Normally, to the outside world, Sirius is merely an often happy-go-lucky, slightly psychotic, troublemaker with not a care in the world past which Slytherin to beat up, prank to pull, or which girl to snog. But actually that is only a small part of Sirius Black.
Growing up in a harsh environment, Sirius did end up with a somewhat class clown type of attitude. He is able to twist a good many depressing things into his everyday comebacks and joke offerings, so as not to go insane. He is rebellious by personality and appears not to be a follower, which is the case in some instances, but because of his deeper people pleaser personality, he actually does follow certain expectations. They just weren’t those of his family once he made a group of friends to follow along with.
Sirius loves adventure and can be rather reckless. Seldom does he think about consequences until well after incidents and situations occur. For this reason he gets into trouble, even with his friends, fairly often. Sometimes he wants to do cruel things and has to fight his own inner demons and upbringing. Sirius, although bright, feels that he may not be completely right in the head. He blames this on inbreeding, but since there is nothing he can do about that he just does his best to keep it together. He does feel an evil streak within him that sometimes can feel frightening.
Despite these attributes and status within his family as a traitor, Sirius is a loyal friend and is quite willing to die for the select people he trusts and allows to get the biggest glimpse of Sirius Black. He is deeply grateful to those who are kind to him and feels that pay back, towards good or bad, is necessary and only right. He can be a bit of a handful, but once you are in his most trusted category there is nothing in all of the world (wizarding or otherwise) that he wont do for you. In the words of another quite blue magic user, ‘You ain't never had a friend like me.’
Well if dog is truly man’s best friend, it looks like his animagus is proof enough of that.
RP Example:
Sirius was not at all phased by being in public. Quite frankly he was not as calculating as his brother Regulus and because of his rather bad reputation it actually gave him a certain level of freedom. The entire school could watch Sirius kiss a dude and what would they think? He lost a dare, it’s clearly a trick, polyjuice potion obviously. Because people often believed what they wanted to believe about Sirius and except for those who it would open up the field a bit, no one else would want to believe that, especially the girls.
Besides that, a part of him didn’t care, actually most of him didn’t care, but the most logical part did. He knew that even if Remus had wanted him, which was unlikely since Sirius was so high maintenance to keep long term, Sirius would have some tough decisions to make. He wouldn’t want Remus to get hurt or targeted. Remus had big secrets and Sirius had an ex-family who would poke and prod until he found them and then exploit them. Sirius couldn’t let that happen to Remus.
But this was most certainly not the time to worry about that and actually the concern was stupid to contemplate since it wasn’t a real issue. Remus wanted a tricycle and Sirius wanted any part of Remus that he could have. Especially something this special.
Although, Sirius paused as Remus spoke to him about the day and how he’d return and not need to check. Was he doing the right thing? A first kiss was something truly special. Shouldn’t Remus share it with someone he truly loved? Not just give it away for practice? Sirius hated when he felt his conscience prick him. It was a wily won, but when focused rather stubborn. So now he was going to have to fight himself in order to get the thing he wished for so very much.
Sirius decided to think of it as making Remus’ kiss special. Sure Remus didn’t love Sirius, but Sirius felt the same could not be said of him. Sirius did feel that there could be no man currently out there who loved Remus more than he did. First kisses were not normally good. They were usually awkward or clammy or coming from an inexperienced or too aggressive person. Contrary to the usual portrayal of how it was, it usually was not good. But Sirius knew that he kissed well. He had good techniques and he’d never heard a complaint about them before. Not even in rumor. If anything people sought him out to break them in. So it wouldn’t be a bad thing to be able to make Remus’ first kiss be special. And to make sure that someone unworthy of it didn’t get it.
Sirius watched as the quill fell into Remus’ lap. It was probably for the best anyway. He’d really only be able to utilize the quill if it got further than kissing, and that wasn’t on his agenda today. He’d do his best not to go further than necessary. But it was going to be hard all things considered.
So that he wouldn’t be more tempted, Sirius picked up the quill from Remmy’s lap and set it to the side as well.
"Right. I do believe that is the case. Uh...do you want me to stand or do you want to sit? Are you just going to lean down and k-kiss me?" Remus stammered out. "I just mean how do you want to do this."
Sirius just stared at Remus when he asked if Siri wanted him to stand. Was he punking him? Of course Sirius couldn’t have Remus stand if he was going to be the one running things. It would not be sexy or romantic if he had to climb the other boy to kiss him. Oh no, Remus was sitting down and Sirius liked it that way or lower.
Remus seemed so nervous and although it might not be nice, Sirius kind of liked that. It was so cute and he took it as a challenge to make Remus relax with his kiss. But it did bring up a couple of other problems, like how exactly to go about it.
To use tongue or not that was the question. To the left or the right. Hands behind his head in his hair, around his waist, or both? Sitting up or laying down? Once he got to it, fast or slow? Hard or Soft or Both? Aggressive or tentative? Ugh there were so many stylistic choices and Sirius wanted it to be perfect.
He really wished there were a tree or something behind Remus, but Remus had ended up in this location and Sirius hadn’t wanted to wait so here they were. There wasn’t much to work with by way of topography, but still.
Then there was also the time of day and location. Should he take Remus’ hand and bring him somewhere, should he wait for the crescent moon he knew was coming tonight so that Remus could have some good memories involving moons. That seemed most right to him. And thankfully the sun was setting so it wouldn’t be that long of a wait. Especially because it was almost all the way gone now.
Sirius still had some time to think about some parts of the kiss. He was going to take this slow to make it super special, but he did make up his mind about one thing and he needed to as well to make any part of the kiss. Plus Sirius was a fan of setting the mood. He wasn’t going to jump in when he cared so much. There was a set up to these things, sweet and sexy was the goal.
He decided to start things slow so he began by running his fingers through Remmy’s hair, wanting him relaxed and happy. He was glad that at least the spot that Remmy had picked for studying was on an incline. Because of that Sirius gently press one hand on Rem’s chest and slowly pushed down until Remus was lying on the ground, slanted due to the hillish nature of the greenery by the black lake.
Sirius began debating whether to lie next to Remus or get on top. As much as he wanted to match him while next to him, he was probably going to have to get on top for a real, true amazing first kiss.
For now he played with his hair then traced his finger from his hair down and around his face as he answered the question, "I just mean how do you want to do this?"
“Today is not about what I want,” Sirius breathed playing with the other boy’s ear, “it’s about what you want.”
He made sure to maintain eye contact, willing the sun to disappear, so that the moon shone.
“When the last ray of sunlight dips down and disappears under the horizon and the crescent moon peeks down on the spot where you lay, that’s when I will kiss you. Because then you will be able to keep that last bit of sunshine with you on all your moonlit nights and days, and because it will hopefully give you a sweet memory of the night and the moon, to keep with you on all the bad ones.”
As Sirius finished saying this the last bit of light blinked like a fairy in the night and as soon as it’s light was distinguished and the crescent moon shown, Sirius leaned down and closed the gap between Remus and himself. His hand was on the back of Remus’ neck cradling it as his head tilted to the right. Remus’ lips were soft and wonderful and his breath was like sugar and chocolate, a testament to his sweets eating self.
Sirius felt he could never get tired of the connection and the feeling of this kiss between his and Remus’. It was like their souls were connected, which caused Sirius to wonder just how electrifying a true night with Remus would be. But he couldn’t think of it for long, because the kiss was all consuming. Like the world opening up and revealing its true nature.
“Mmm,” Sirius sounded in total contentment as he continued to kiss Remus.
The style he went with was natural. Starting off slow and gentle but with enough pressure to know it was still happening. He kept his tongue in his mouth for now. Unless Remus seemed ready for it he wasn’t going to just snake it in there. This was about Remus feeling special and good and having that beautiful memory to keep forever. Sirius could only hope that Remus was enjoying it half as much as Sirius.
He made sure to keep his pace for a beginner as he wondered if he should give Remus breaks enough to breath regularly though or not let go until he was ready to. Which at this rate might never come. Not if Remus stayed this perfect.

Character Name: Regulus Arcturus Black

Age: 15
Bloodline: Pureblood
Sexuality: Uncertain
Wand: 10 1/2" Hornbeam, Dragon Heartstring, Rigid
Family
Father: Orion Black
Mother: Walburga Black
Siblings: Older Brother, Sirius Black
Character History:
Regulus was born and raised as any other well-to do pureblood heir except for one thing, he was not in fact the eldest male. No that honor would have gone to his older brother Sirius had the older male played his cards right. But no, as it turned out Sirius Black was a trouble maker. At first their parents had embraced this fact, considering the nasty pranks a good sign of a dark arts lover in the making, but not long after the sorting hat placed Sirius into Gryffindor, Regulus became the new project.
For a year Regulus’ parents practically experimented on him. They couldn’t handle the shame of a Gryffindor and were terribly afraid that Sirius, as the stronger personality, had influenced Regulus too much. In truth Regulus had always looked up to his older brother. Besides his parents, Regulus had at one time mostly had Sirius to himself.
Sirius had been a charmer. He could wink and set girls at pureblood functions off in a tizzy. He had a confidence and a cool attitude that had made Regulus stare after him wondering if he could ever even hope to mimic him. No one said no to Sirius for long, except eventually their parents. He was dynamic, strong, funny, and he could have just about any girl in the world, Regulus mused to himself. And for a time, Regulus had that cool older brother to himself. They would play and get into trouble and Sirius would often take the blame which often made Regulus worry his bottom lip until his older brother would come back, ruffle his hair and say, “’s alright Reg, it will take more than that to scare Sirius Black.” Then the older boy would give a little smirk and Regulus would know that everything was okay.
And that was the highlight of Regulus’ life. But then Hogwarts came and everything changed. It was bad enough that Sirius had ended up in Gryffindor. For those first months following Sirius’ return Regulus had to endure many trials. Their parents weren’t taking any chances and so they were adamant about sending him to the house of any young pureblood whose parents drilled into them the horrors of what muggles had done to their kind and the glory of a new age that was coming before they could realize it.
They destroyed everything that Sirius had ever given him, except for the two precious items he’d managed to spare with quick thinking, his journal of memories complete with pictures and an engraved pocket watch that Sirius had commissioned when Regulus was 8 and that Regulus always wore though he hid it in his robes.
It had been a long fall. His parents using every waking moment as a reminder that he was the last chance they had of a decent heir. He couldn’t bare to hear the comments about his brother at first. And the voices became more shrill and the words more acidic each time his mother received a letter that reminded her of Sirius’ existence or each time his father was called to go in and speak with the headmaster or professor of the day. To be honest Regulus always thought it sounded quite exciting, he was waiting for the day when Sirius came back to the house and he could hear all about these adventures. For the time when it would be the Black brothers again. As the holidays drew near it was Regulus’ only happiness to think of his brothers return.
But his brother didn’t return for the holidays. He did send the occasional message but it was all the same. “James did this” “James did that” “Remus this” “Peter that.” It didn’t take long for Regulus to begin to dislike these new people in Sirius’ life. As Sirius seemed to be free and partying it up, Regulus’ life deteriorated into having to make up for his brother.
By the time Summer Holidays ended and Sirius was back, Regulus could barely recognize him.
Although it wasn't until third year that Sirius immediately headed to his room and redecorated the interior with everything that went against the Black family values. Muggle motor-devices, Gryffindor colors, and mostly naked women now lined the room, not leaving much time for greetings and in fact making Regulus’ life much harder. Not two weeks into his return Sirius was storming his way out of the house deciding to finish up his time with his precious friend James. Leaving the house in chaos and Regulus at the middle of it.
And from that moment on Regulus knew that he could not be like his brother. He could not turn his back with the knowledge that he was hurting everyone who he’d ever loved. His brother had chosen new friends over Regulus and didn’t seem to care much what he left in his wake. Regulus was not particularly the selfish sort. So he began to let go of his childish yearnings to be like Sirius Black. Instead he decided to be what Sirius Black should have been.
Looking more seriously into the texts and tomes that his parents had given him Regulus saw with new eyes. Muggles had done horrific things to Wizarding kind and they did deserve to pay. Plus Muggleborns were tainting Wizarding blood, diluting it further and further which was likely why there were so few purebloods today. He wasn’t sure where he stood on half-bloods, although he knew pure was the way to go. But he was pretty sure that muggles and muggleborns didn’t deserve what purebloods did. He had no idea how it happened that muggleborns even ended up at Hogwarts but he didn’t like it.
By the time he was sorted there was very little doubt which house he’d end up with. He told the hat there could be no other choice and despite its slight bickering it did eventually acquiesce to his demands. He would accept no house other than Slytherin and he would have had to transfer to Durmstrang if he’d ended up in Gryffindor.
Once in Slytherin he did his best to ingratiate himself with the others though it was rather tricky. He could not help but compare himself to his brother, mad at him though he might have been. Sometimes he can’t help but pretend to be like Sirius, or what Sirius might have been had he gone the true Slytherin way. The family way. Other times he tries his hand at a Lucius type, another role model in his life. He has a hard time being himself as he views himself as weak and unworthy. He does everything to not appear that way. But most of his personality is a front.
At this point he only has three more years of Hogwarts. Since his change of heart so to speak he’s done a lot of work to get himself and now views Voldemort as the savior of Wizarding Kind. He looks forward to the day when Purebloods have risen to where they belong, but a part of him still lingers with the inner sweetheart that he is and every once in a while he still finds himself wanting to re-forge the relationship with his brother. But he does his best to repress that side. After all, it was his brother who abandoned him. Not the other way around.

Personality overview:
Overall Regulus has a confusing personality, because quite often the person he is trying to be is in direct conflict with the person he really is. Deep down Regulus is probably more of a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff than a Slytherin, but he fought tooth and nail to be in the house of the snake so he does his best to fit in. Often falling somewhere in between trying to be like his older brother Sirius Black or his most esteemed hero Lucius Malfoy, Regulus can confuse an awful lot of people.
Only rarely, and often by mistake, do people get to see the true blue Regulus Black. The boy who at his heart wants everyone to get along, wants to be part of his parents and brothers life without issue, and wants to just be himself. But with so many larger personalities and so many feelings of inadequacy, Regulus often is more a character than a person. He hides himself deep inside and only a select few will be able to ever see a glimmer of the person inside. The boy who just wants his big brother back, his parents love, and to be able to do magic and art whenever the mood strikes.

RP Example:
Regulus Black had spent much of his night after classes getting ready for his big night out. Having been doing this for a number of years, although the days and times often changed, he had something of a routine put together for such a night as this.
The young Slytherin was somewhat of an anomaly among the Slytherin crowd for his "odd" behavior once he reached the sanctity of his room. While Regulus was quite able to be just about whoever he needed to be in any given public situation, he fell into his quiet bookworm routine once he hit the doors that lead to his four poster bed.
This was mainly because Regulus enjoyed quiet places to calculate, contemplate, and consider things in his life. He particularly loved to read and study which opened up a whole world of possibilities to him. It was because of his usual routines that those he dormed with often found themselves confused when he didn't jump right back into homework and didn't have some sort of practice or duty to head off too.
One thing that Regulus had never liked about his house was that they were all often very aware of differences. Slytherin's kept tabs on those around them. Which was great if you got lost somewhere around the castle, but annoying when you were trying to sneak around to do anything other than Pureblood related missions.
Because of this Regulus had to have a story, but of course he couldn't just outright shout his cover story to the Slytherin population. Nope, snakes had trust issues to begin with and every little tidbit of information was like a small piece of gold dust to them. Not much in flakes but overall worth its weight if you catch my drift.
For that reason when Regulus wanted to do something out of the ordinary he had to make it seem like he was doing something else. He had to bring evidence along and pretend to be hiding one thing, while secretly hiding the other. In that way Regulus often felt being a Slytherin was a bit like playing a game.
In this particular game Regulus had to pretend to be going on a date. Because Regulus was not a big public dater (and in fact had not ever dated anyone so far in his life), it was easy for him to utilize this fact by making it seem as if he had dated, so as not to be picked on, while also giving himself the perfect cover story for an out of dorm rendezvous. Being a Pureblood gentleman this also made it so that about once a month Regulus had to buy some sort of gift and bring it along with him. Which was fine for chocolate because he could eat a good portion of it himself, but early on he'd had a hell of at time figuring out what to do with random gifts he bought besides. Thankfully he was old enough now to manage to hold a few transfigured items with power long enough not to ruin the illusion of the gift. Though sometimes he even just straight out gave the gift to "his date" when it couldn't be easily identified and especially when he felt the other party needed it.
On those nights Regulus was glad that it cemented the other sides' dating story and in the long run it worked out for Regulus because when he got the chance he usually managed to get things that Sirius needed but refused to ask their parents for anymore. That was one of his favorite parts of "the game." Utilizing his skills to get what he and his family wanted. The brothers' wanted some time together and his parents were somewhere with the idea that they would likely be having grandchildren one day with a proper and shy Pureblood girl, since he knew that being in Slytherin his parents definitely had spies somewhere around him. Likely one of his many cousins.
Regulus looked around for a second making sure the coast was clear before looking down at his pocket watch smiling softly at it even as he checked the time. He decided to head out even though it was a little early. This was somewhat of a regular occurrence, him being early, Sirius being late. They truly were like Ying and Yang in that way.
Regulus tried to hide a smile as he walked quietly through the Slytherin common room. Usually he was quite good at acting, but days like this he felt light on his feet and a touch care free. At least until he actually met up with his brother, in which case he often went back and forth between happily relaxed and terrified that they’d be caught by someone.
This only occasional change in mood certainly was noticed in the Slytherin common room, though luckily those who spoke openly about it assumed that it was exactly as he wanted them to assume.
“Must be Regulus’ date night.” A boldish Slytherin boy exclaimed loud enough for most of the dorm to hear.
Regulus’ face flushed as he tried to imagine going to a real date. It was a bit embarrassing to think about it to be honest. He’d probably be ripped a new one if people ever found out that he’d not actually gone out on a date before, but he couldn’t help it. Dating was one place that he didn’t want to have to be someone else while doing and as he often couldn’t figure himself out, he wasn’t ready to jump into trying to figure someone else out while he was at it.
Meanwhile a few of the more curious, information extracting Slytherins were trying to press him for information in their own way while he walked,
“She must be a real cow for him to be hiding it.” One snake girl whispered purposely loudly to another.
Her friend caught on quick enough, nodding and adding fuel to the fire,
“I’ll bet she’s not even from our house.”
“Probably a Gryffindor,” the first said attempting to rub salt in the wound, “Merlin knows that when he was younger he was always tagging a long like a lost puppy after his brother, some red and gold was likely to taint the purity of green and silver.”
Regulus tensed for a second at hearing that but seamlessly slipped in to his Slytherin role. His inner actor flared up to reduce damage to his reputation as he looked over at them with an aristocratic bored expression,
“Am I really supposed to be insulted by the insults of bottom feeders now?” he questioned, “My purity is not in question, but yours certainly is.”
He took big sweeping strides over to them and looked the first dead in the eye,
“Half-blood.” He whispered as if it was an insult before turning to the other witch and whispering with a smirk, “Plebian.”
With that one word the girl had to know that he knew what her parents did for a living, something as a Slytherin she certainly wouldn’t want to get out.
“Not that I need to explain myself to the likes of you, but just so you know, the person I am going to be meeting with is of the purest blood and many a person would be quite jealous of such an opportunity. Present company included.”
Deciding he had said too much Regulus feigned back tracking, “Not that such a thing is the particular reason I’m going and not that it’s any of your business.”
With that he swept out of the Slytherin common room tired with these games and calculating just how much information he’d let slip. He decided that he hadn’t given too much away and with them assuming it was a female it wasn’t likely to get back to his brother in the near future.
So the corners of his mouth turned up even as he kept checking around him and making sure no one was following as he made his way through the dungeons before tickling the pear and waiting at a table in the kitchens. The first house elf to pass Regulus smiled at and asked for a hot butterbeer as he waited for his favorite person in the world (most of the time), his brother Sirius Black.

The Secret Profile of One Remus J. Lupin
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW:
Monster, that is a word that is most often not associated with the name Remus J. Lupin on a regular basis. Should be Ravenclaw, a bit of a girl, timid, sickly, mysterious, bully-bait, favorite take-home-to-mother candidate, ‘probably gay’, and the worst Prefect of all time would be more likely. I hear those quite often in whispers behind hands as I make my way to or from a library, or the Hospital Wing. The thing is perhaps all of them are true and more. But what no one but a select few know is that I have a secret darker than Severus Snape’s hair, bigger than James Potters head, and more dangerous than Lily Evans temper, because though no one but the most daft or bright people in school know it, I am a Werewolf.
That’s right. That pale, quiet kid in your Care of Magical Creatures class, who cannot manage to walk without a limp on some days, is the same creature that you thought you heard from your common room, on a cold stormy moonlit night. The same kid who gives in to everyone’s demands just to save himself the trouble and strength to go on breathing for another moment is the fairytale creature that you’re sometimes intrigued by, but would never want near you, lest it bite of your head. This same, supposedly effeminate acting, sarcastic and quirky, but kind next-door dorm mate is the reason you turn on the lights in the dark. I am the epitome of all the things people are tempted by, what they fear, and the collection of all the things that they hate. I am a dark creature, created by malice, plagued by the disease of lycanthrope, tortured by broken memories, torn shirts, and ripping flesh, some of which are my own and others which sometimes are not.
I am a Werewolf, and it is by that very title and position, that I live and breath. It is the secret that defines the entirety of my being. The source of my every action, thought, and deed. And it is the thing I most hate about myself and the reason that I will never have a happy ending. Because no matter how forgiving or understanding a person may be, no matter how protective or optimistic they are, no matter how many times they attempt to cheer you up about being a Monster, they can never truly understand it. Only those who are monsters will ever truly understand why at the end of every fairytale they will forever be the losers, dancing on hot coals, filled with stones, or slain by a handsome prince. It is because that is the happiest an ending can be for one such as us. Freedom from the monster, even in the form of death, is the loveliest thought that a monster can manage. Because for some of us monsters, though our bodies may be calling for fight and survival, our minds chant with the hope that we will be defeated. That we can close our eyes and finally be free.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW I CAME TO BE...Or HAVE FURRY LITTLE PROBLEMS:
I was not always a werewolf. I know that I was bitten by Fenrir Greyback when I was fairly young for retaliation to something my father was involved with or said, but after the incident he seemed to feel badly enough without explaining. Truthfully I never really blamed my father for this state I am in, because I do believe in speaking your own mind. But I can’t say that I follow that track of logic during my monthlies, that’s what I have always called my moon phase, or time of the month, since the closest thing to Werewolf like behavior that happened in my house, besides to me was with my mom’s own time of the month. Not to mention that she taught me coping methods for before and after, which consequently is why I am probably the only teenage boy who carries around a heating pad in his trunk and who has a chocolate addiction that could rival any hormonal teenage girl in the entire country of England. Er…but that’s neither here nor there.
The thing is I don’t remember much from before ‘the incident.’ I know that when I was very small women use to flock to me and ooh and ahh in ways that people don’t seem to be able to help when a baby is born or a toddler mispronounces the majority of his vocabulary. I only ever heard good things like ‘clever’ ‘perfect’ ‘adorable’ ‘a charmer.’ I know I always enjoyed learning new things and I was not satisfied with just knowing what others knew. I always wanted more and more, and I asked so many questions that it drove my father straight up the wall to the point that he would beg me to stop. To which I did sometimes because I tried my utmost be good and a gentleman. But I did have a slight sneaky streak. I was inquisitive to the point that I would do dangerous things just to understand them. I suppose that was how I ended up wandering away from my mother at the supermarket that day as she talked to the grocer. I wanted to know what that odd thing that seemed to stare at me with golden eyes. That large shadow. That crooked finger that enticed me closer and closer, until at last it ensnared me, and broke any inquisitive mind that I might have still had, for a very long time. Curiosity may have killed the cat and brought it back, but it also created a monster.
The day that I was sorted was a momentous occasion for me. Quite frankly I had no hope or even consideration of Gryffindor. I had never felt very brave after the attack and I knew I was sly enough to hide the fact that I was a werewolf and lie if I must, for at least a year. Actually I figured that being a dark creature would automatically cast me to Slythern in the dungeons, or that the hat would reject me, scream Werewolf, and that all of the houses would band together to chase me to the Forbidden Forest or Kill me. Gryffindor? Pfft! I was shaking so hard in the chair that I nearly fainted. My mind half willed for my human half to be stronger and somehow squeak by without noticing my Werewolf tendencies and deposit me in where I probably would have ended up had I not been attacked in Ravenclaw, while the other half of my mind depressingly wondered if it were death or Slythern. Though in Slythern I was sure that someone would find out eventually and then I’d end up worse off than ever before, perhaps chained up at the foot of some Pureblood’s bed, tortured and begging for death, or ripping apart innocent animals and people they managed to lure in. Though to be fair to Slytherns this is more what I thought due to the fact that my opinion may have been skewed by rumors more than fact. But I must admit that when the Sorting Hat shouted, “Gryffindor!” I was more confused than I have ever been in my life. To this day I still can’t figure out why the hat chose me for Gryffindor, but I’m glad it did, because Gryffindor does seem to have the best people in it for me. Or at least the most daftly excited about Werewolves than I’ve ever met in my entire life.
THE WEREWOLF
Honestly it would be easier to explain to most women than men how the physical element of the werewolf feels, but I will try to describe it as best I can without using the general kick to the balls or pregnancy scenarios that most people try. The process goes something like this. A few days before the Full Moon you become irrational, irritable, overemotional, and horny. One minute you want to cuddle up to anything for comfort and warmth, and the next you feel that the very next person who comes within two feet of you let alone touches you, you might just have to literally bite off their heads. You growl over stupid things and everything. Your hungry and crave red meat and chocolate and anything that pops into your head you feel that you must have or you’ll destroy what’s stopping it. Your body feels powerful and amazing, golden flecks enter your eyes for every hint at a flirtation or triumph. You feel invincible, unstoppable to the point that you just want to hurt someone to prove you can. Testosterone doesn’t even begin to cover it. You could lift a building if you got half the chance one day and the next you just want to cry at everything. You jump around, throw up, attempt death defying acts without so much as blinking, then you grab a carton of ice cream, tell everyone you hate them, and lock your best friends out of their own dormitory for alone time. And that’s just the days before the big day
On the day of the Full Moon you don’t need to look at the calendar. You feel it on your skin, in your veins, your senses are heightened whether you want them to be or not, and you just can’t help nearly anything you do. But the worse is yet to come, because you have to get to a safe place away from everyone to ensure there safety. Once you find a place that will chain you up for the full night, you rest your head against the wall or floor as you feel the hum of the creatures around you. You pray to any deity that might hear you for it not to happen. You have the thinnest thread of hope that it will somehow pass you by, or the curse will be lifted, just because you’ve learned your lesson. But no matter how hard you cry, whimper, and beg the monster comes. The monster comes skin ripping, bones readjusting, blood and bones wriggling like living snakes readjusting your body. Blood sloshes inside your veins as a long howl that sums up every feeling you’ve ever had rips through your throat and cries to the heavens for help of some kind. To be free somehow. Your entire body is not your own, gone was the little semblance of control that you thought you might have had at some point and there surrounding you as if you yourself have been devoured and eaten, is the monster. Your skin moves like water, ripping, tearing, readjusting, pulling back roughly, harshly, as if to punish you. The scars you have the next morning are nothing compared to the pain. One that brings you to the brink of consciousness, before thrusting adrenaline back into you. But though you see through the eyes of the creature, you are as dumb and vicious as it is. You can stop it from nothing. No matter how strong your resolve is if given half the chance it would rip your best friend apart. And even knowing that you have little to no control of the beast doesn’t stop your conscience, even though you forget most of what the wolf does, you always remember the most haunting moments. The moments when you wish a silver bullet would embed itself into your heart just to free it. You never lose the guilt and you never forget the faces. For an entire night each month, sometimes more, you are an animal that you yourself would kill if you were outside of it.
The Full Moon itself is the worst, but the week or two after it are not great themselves, particularly depending on how bad the moon cycle itself was. It has been a bit better since my dear friends are able to help a little. But it’s hard enough to look them in the eye for a few days after. But the first week I’m as weak as a newborn kitten, as frustrated, and often I feel the pain like a billion bludgers to the head. I often limp, which doesn’t help some of the rumors I admit. Then it gets a little better from there and for a week or two, besides heightened senses it’s almost as if it doesn’t exist. But it always comes back for me, like a nightmare from which one can never escape.
WHAT I MOST ADMIRE AND WHAT I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND ABOUT FRIENDS:
Quite often the things that I admire about my friends are also things that I don’t understand. The top of which on my list is why they are friends with me at all. Most people often wonder why I am friends with them being that they are troublemakers, or why they keep me around being that I’m such a goody-two-shoes and all, but the truth is we are more alike then anyone could imagine. Though I can’t say that we are exact matches, we kind of seem to fit like pieces of a very deranged puzzle. James has a bit of a hero complex for all he acts like a bully, and so Peter, who is not quite as good at defending himself as some, fits because he is all hero worship to James’ hero. Sirius is probably closer to me in that somewhere deep down he seems to fear becoming like his dark, mostly Slythern Pureblood family. He fights being like his namesake possibly almost as much as I attempt to fight the wolf. The only difference between us is that he seems to be winning, and I am most certainly losing with each passing moon. I suppose that what I am supposed to bring to the table is not so much the ideas as much as the follow through of the pranks. At very least my job is supposed to be to not take off house points or make them stop anything that James or Sirius might think up.
Truth be told there are sometimes, particularly with the bullying, that I want to tell them to stop and that I don’t like it, times where I want to publically put my foot down and truly make them stop, but any time my mouth opens I just think of how they are still friends with me even knowing about the wolf. About how I am a much worse bully than any of them can ever be. About how much they’ve all done for me and how they befriended me. How they saw at least part of that inner me on that train ride years ago when I was quiet and feared making friends because I thought they would know, would see the inner demon that lurked behind the frightened look. They pursued me even though I was terrified, not of them, but of myself, of what they would say or try to do to me when they found out what I really was. They had all reacted surprisingly well to the Werewolf side of me, so how could I judge them? Everytime this happens I sit back and allow James and Sirius to have their fun. Sometimes it seems to kill me, but I know in my heart that my friends are wonderful, loyal human beings, who just take it too far sometimes. In my heart I’m more of a coward than anyone believes me to be. For no matter how many good things they do for me, I always believe that I’m just one ‘no’ away from being friendless and alone, and from dealing with fighting the wolf all by myself again.
I will never understand why Quidditch is so popular! There I said it, though I avoid the conversation with James and Sirius as much as I can manage since those two think it’s Merlins answer to a good life. I avoid them as much as I can around matches because they seem to think that I am there personal cheerleader. Meanwhile whenever I do drag myself to go what reward do I get? Watching my friends knock the stuffing out of some opponent, or vice versa. There are all types of balls going everywhere so that on the ground I’m practically dizzy, not to mention the fact that brooms and I are not friends. I barely scrapped through flying lessons and that is only because Madam Hooch figured that the reason my broom and body refused to work together was because of my ‘situation.’ So she let it go, but because of that I downright refuse to go on one of those things since. I don’t care what prank it helps or how that would be effective for sneaking out or into Hogwarts or if the bloody school is on fire! I will take my chances James! …ahem- cough- sorry about that. Needless to say Quidditch is something that I am not interested in and something that causes me constant confusion as far as with the fact that people have a tendency to refer to you as gay or girlish if the sport doesn’t interest you. What precisely is heterosexual about trying to hold and maneuver balls around while riding with a broomstick halfway up your arse? Oh well that will be enough on that rant today.
To those who know me best, outside of ‘my furry little problem’ as the other Marauders have comically, if juvenilely dubbed my Werewolf-ing out, I am a quiet but quick witted gentleman, who has as Sirius would say, ‘The most boring and average tastes ever.’ I enjoy things that are mundane mostly in the same way that someone who works with children enjoys peace and quiet. I don’t get to experience any of those much.
THE NON-WOLF SIDE:
I will say that the one thing I can pride myself on, for it certainly isn’t my scarred and twiggy appearance, is my wit. I enjoy a good debate, a cup of tea, and teasing my friends mercilessly when we are alone and no one will believe them the next day. I have a tendency to fall in with Ravenclaw crowds, though I find the idea of houses too ‘us’ against them for my taste, something which I probably will never tell James and Sirius who will probably have me flogged for merely thinking such a ‘traitorous’ thing. But I’ll bet if Peter was alone with me he’d be on my side about it. But put that poor boy next to Padfoot or Prongs and his opinion sticks with one of them.
Otherwise I am quite well liked by teachers, despite the fact that I am a coward. I am most grateful to Dumbledore however, since he is the one who refused to let the whole school know about my condition. He is one of the most non-judgmental, brilliant, and amazing people that I have ever met or read about, and that is saying something because my reading list is quite extensive.
I enjoy learning and I hope to one day find a cure for my condition, or at least become friends with someone who could manage such a complex potion. I read for many reasons. Most of which are enjoyment related, but some of which help deflect attention or feed into the idea of me as a very sickly boy, rather than the Big Bad Wolf sort.
My biggest fault, besides my inquisitive side which made me the Werewolf I am today, is that I want to be liked. For all I try not to make friends or be standoffish, or try not to harm, I often feel a yearning for attention. I want to be able to be like Sirius and James who everyone looks up to and admires, except when the butt of one of their jokes. I want to have a normal life where I can be popular and get along with everyone, no matter the house. I want to be the one who is nonjudgmental and can be friends with all types of people because I’m just that open about it. I want to be in the spotlight without it leading to a one way ticket to Azkaban or a sentence to the Forbidden Forest because you’re viewed as a vicious beast. That is what I would want if I could have it. But the cards have been played for me already, and so I must hide in the shadows and pride myself on being the faceless Marauder. The boring, gentlemen who men befriend, bully, or make fun of, and who most girls feel protective over rather than fall for.
I must be content to play my part in this stage of life. Forever to be either a background character or a villain.
FACTS TO LIGHTEN UP THE MOOD:
~ I am a complete virgin in every form of the word. But I don’t necessarily broadcast that around when I can help it. Still, dismally I doubt anyone would think differently if you asked. Well some might think differently, but I’m pretty sure it will not fall under me being a chick magnet.
~ I am a sucker for Chocolate. I love it in all kinds: Milk, Dark, White, you name it and I will eat it. If you ever have any doubt of what to buy me chances are a book or a chocolate will do much to make me happy…although Earl Tea would also be effective for my happiness.
~ Because I have a sweet tooth the majority of my quills are Sugar Quills, which is why I’m the last person you want to ask to borrow a quill from. Especially because I have a bit of an oral fixation and I always give each quill a lick when I buy one. Consequently, one time I confused a self inking quill for a sugar quill in Charms class…well let’s just say it did not taste half as good and took hours to clean off.
~ Despite the fact that I am a Werewolf I like animals and most of them like me. I’m probably one of the only boys who could get near a Unicorn at Hogwarts, which quite frankly probably wouldn’t help my reputation much. Though I think I fear for the Unicorn more than my reputation, it’s a bit daft to allow any Werewolf near you in any circumstances.
~ I have a number of little habits that I’ve picked up along the way that have been pointed out to me by my dearest friends, so I thought it might be important for you to know. I pout when I’m denied treats or anything apparently sometime before the full moon. I whimper and sweat a lot in my sleep, and often have a tendency to wake up with less clothes that I started with, which is why my part of the four poster bed now has a silencing spell and locked curtains. You’ll get no more pictures of me in awkward positions if I can help it Messer’s Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs! I sneeze like a bunny when I have to sneeze, my nose twitching up in a way that makes girls say. ‘Aw’ and diminishes my masculinity some I’m sure. Whenever I am suspicious of something my right eyebrow goes up and I pause in whatever I am doing in order to look at the person who is making me so. I sigh right before I give in to people, quite often after being against the idea, but I go along with it anyway. I have restless leg syndrome which annoys most people who end up sharing a couch with me or sitting in a chair in front of me if they dare. And I blush like it’s my job. Unfortunately it is quite easy to embarrass me most of the time. Though I don’t know why I’m not immune to it by now.
~ Slytherns probably give me as hard of a time as they do Wormtail, but most of the time in bullying situations I chalk it up to the Full Moon if it’s near enough. This does not make me brave, it merely ensures that I am not a snitch or a tell tale. Besides it’s not like I don’t deserve it. I let James and Sirius bully other people, so I’ve no right not to let someone else bully me. Not only that but I think I deserve the pain for what I am. Truth be told I shouldn’t have it so good. When Slytherns harm me it helps me to remember if I forget, that I’m truly a monster and that my life can never be normal
~ Despite my many scars no one ever believes that I’ve been fighting a Hippogriff to get them. To be fair to me, it does feel like I did the day after. I’m more mad that no one thinks they appear ruggedly handsome or roguish, in fact I’m pretty sure by the pitying looks I get from most girls in my year that people automatically think I’m being bullied.
~ I give a hell of a good massage. Though few will ever know.
~ I’m quite good at Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA). Isn’t that ironic?
~ Even though most assume that I am put upon by the other Marauders and that they need me, I have to say that I believe that I am the one who needs them most. If anything ever happened between us I truly believe that I would die. They are my pack and I would live and die for any one of them.
~ I have gotten an opportunity that probably no other Werewolf has ever gotten, and yet even despite the fact that I am able to learn magic, I will never have the freedom to be anything other than a monster…or a magical veterinarian.
RP Example:
Remus J. Lupin was a person who took his responsibilities very seriously, whether it be to Dumbledore, or a lady, or even the Marauders. Because of this trait Remus was rarely late, nor did he ever miss his Prefect duties, unless it was related to the Full Moon. Despite the fact that he was use to, and to a degree enjoyed responsibility, since it was such a beautifully mundane thing, Remus would have to say that he was probably the worst Prefect ever. He still couldn’t understand why Dumbledore had chosen him of all people. A Werewolf Prefect was the most laughable thing that he’d ever heard of, but being one had gotten his mind off of some pretty dark thoughts, so if it was for Remus’s sake he supposed he could understand a little.
The Unlikely Gryffindor sincerely hoped that Professor Dumbledore’s aim was not in hopes that Remus would be able to stop or influence his friends, because if it had then Remus had failed at every attempt. He just couldn’t bring himself to stand up for himself, no matter what the circumstances were. Who was he to judge anybody in this school? Least of all his good friends who had managed to accept him into their group even though he was a creature of dark magic. One who during the light of a full moon, would like nothing better than to snack on them should they ever end up in their human form.
Despite what Remus viewed as his cowardice, he had developed a strategy to be able to deal with non-Marauder situations. Should he ever come across bullying of any kind he would offer himself up as canon fodder and hope that the victim would be able to save themselves while he distracted the bullies. That was his best chance really. He was not overly brave like James who would walk in, wand blazing, and utmost confidence in his every move as he managed to triumphantly and quick thinking save a person, as he had for even Severus Snape, whom James absolutely hated. He was not intimidating and awe-inspiring as Sirius, who’s wand work moved with the fluidity of his Pureblood upbringing and with the flair of a teen heartthrob.
For a long time now, Remus thought that friends were like Superman and Batman in the Muggle Comic Books that Remus kept under his bed. James was Superman, whose Kryptonite was probably Lily, if not his own bad habits. Sirius was the brooding but good Batman who did good things, but in a slightly twisted way, searching for retribution and revenge, due to family issues (albeit Batman’s was because his parents were killed and Sirius’s were probably more because they weren’t). Even Peter fit in there as Robin, pointing out things that were obvious or not, and following the other two around all the time, though Remus thought Peter was more James sidekick than Sirius’s. Still he fit in.
Remus wouldn’t be so dense as to call himself their enemy, but he was pretty sure that the closest person in that scenario to himself would have to be Alfred. The old Butler, who was kind of snarky, and who took care of things at home while the others went out, put themselves in danger, and gained fame and glory, as well as enemies. Still at least they did something for people. Alfred did research but really how much did that matter in the long run? With a bit more time Batman or Robin could have done it himself. Or so Remus thought.
It was a depressing thought for Remus and so he tried to clear his mind of it, which was actually easier than one would think considering where Remus realized that he was patrolling – The Dungeons. Slythern territory, a place that Remus knew he was not welcomed by most. Though he was perhaps not as high on the priority list as say James or Sirius, he certainly was someone that could be used to hurt the other two. Not that Remus would ever intentionally give away that he was hurt, but his friends were ridiculously bright, and chances were they’d figure it out, at least after a while.
With these thoughts in mind, Remus slowed down, closed his eyes, and listened. One of the only perks to being a Werewolf was that Remus had excellent senses, and when he blocked out one sense it was amazing what he could see, hear, or smell. Remus’s ears perked up as he listened to the drip of a faucet in the Potions room that had not been completely turned off, noted the slushing sounds of dishes being done in the Kitchens, heard the low rumble of hundreds of voices from the Common Rooms, though one in particular struck a chord with him. His eyes snapped open as his mind registered the sound.
It was a scream. It had been a scream. A female one at that.
Remus paled as a thousand thoughts of why a woman would scream in the mostly deserted corridors of the Dungeons ran through his brain. His feet moved before his mind connected that he needed to go somewhere.
‘Please,’ he begged internally, ‘Please let it be something small like a surprise bug or a spider web, and if not at least…please let me get there in time.’
Remus was a worrier by nature, so of course his mind had come to the darkest of conclusions. He relaxed his breathing as he tried to talk sense to himself,
‘It’s nothing Remus, you’re just being a worry wart. That kind of thing wouldn’t happen at Hogwarts,’ he assured himself as he rounded the corner of the hall, but the beast that lingered deep inside the boy taunted, ‘indeed, just like there could never be a Werewolf in these halls either.’
Remus bit his lip and tore down the hallway at just enough of a pace to appear human, albeit one normally on a track team at Muggle Schools. Soon enough he skidded to a halt at the spot that he believed that he’d heard the scream come from. But as soon as he saw the person that he believed the scream came from his eyes widened to comical proportions, because she was the last person that Remus ever thought he’d find getting herself into trouble, let alone screaming.
The girl before him was one of the great beauties of Hogwarts. This particular one was elevated above many of the girls of Slythern. Her golden tresses an interesting variation from the general darker haired girls that had a higher ratio of attendance in the Slythern house. She was an interesting specimen of a woman, because she had never been seen or heard, to his knowledge, hexing Gryffindors or speaking badly of any non-Purebloods, and yet she was held as a kind of symbol of Slythern Pureblood Perfection. Remus had always been slightly intrigued by this cousin of his friend Sirius, since she was not on Sirius’s short list of absolute trustables in his family, but at the same time she wasn’t on Sirius’s hit list either.
Remus had of course seen Narcissa before, though this was the closest he’d been to her outside of Prefect Meetings and Duties. Before now Remus had mostly imagined her as a person that most seemed to treat as a Porcelain Doll, very few dared to go near her and yet she was put on a pedestal. Remus thought that might be an awfully sad and lonely place to be, but at the same time he knew that there was probably not one Slythern who would dare to harm her, and at least a few who would protect her from nearly any bad situation. Partially due to her boyfriend Lucius Malfoy in all honesty. Here before him was none other than Narcissa Black, the Diamond of Slythern’s.
Despite the fact that Remus was a Gryffindor, and as such should not technically care about the ‘Who’s Who’ of Slythern, it was hard not to note, since Slytherns were so obvious about it. The Malfoys and Blacks were a little like Royalty, and as a British citizen that was fairly impressive to Remus, particularly when it came to Queens. But he did not want to distance himself from her greatly enough by keeping her on her pedestal. He wanted to talk to her as if she were a real person, in case perhaps she needed something from him, particularly because he heard her scream and because he had come running.
It was not exactly the kind of saving that Remus had originally thought that she needed, but that didn’t make it any less important. He knew that helping her in any capacity was a bit of a risk considering Sirius’s feelings towards his family, but frankly Remus didn’t think that Narcissa would necessarily broadcast being helped by a Gryffindor, particularly a Marauder, so he was fairly safe on that end. He would probably be able to keep this on the hush hush.
Remus did feel the need to smirk a little bit though as he realized that this would be the second secret Slythern-related situation that he had gotten himself into this week.
“Pardon me Miss Black,” Remus said softly, but formally, after all if she was frightened or upset about something he didn’t want to add to her nerves, “while I was on my rounds I overheard a scream or something down this corridor, did someone happen to pass by or was that you? I don’t mean to pry where I am unneeded, but if there is anything that I might be able to help with I would be pleased to oblige.”
It was a bit formal, but Remus wasn’t really sure how to address a high-born Slythern when they didn’t want to hex him for being a Half-blood. Not that she had made any indication so far that she would or not, but Remus was generally someone quick to see the good in people, and looking into Narcissa’s eyes he couldn’t see any hints of malice. But even if she did Remus would not blame her, it would just mean that she was an intuitive as some of her housemates, who might not be able to see what he was, but who could sense something dangerous in him. Something inhuman.
As he stood across from Narcissa, waiting for her answer or judgment, Remus mused that he must have had more of a suicidal tendency than he realized, because contact with Narcissa in any capacity could easily get him into trouble with not only his own friends, but with a very overprotective, probably easily jealous, certainly prejudice, Lucius Malfoy.
‘Oh well,’ Remus thought still a little amused by his own lack of interest in his own problems,‘we can’t all live to be crotchety old men I suppose.’
He nodded his head politely bringing his hand to his heart to show that he was genuine in his offer,
“Remus Lupin at your service, if you’ve a need for me that is.”
No matter what any Pureblood person said about gentlemanliness being bred into someone, particularly through blood, Remus knew that if he was anything it was a Gentleman…er…at least in a Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde kind of way. Luckily he was currently the former of those two choices. It was fitting in more ways than one actually, considering Dr. Jekyll was clearly also a Masochist, and more and more this week, Remus believed he must certainly be one too.
‘At least if I’m killed the Wolf inside me will also die,’ Remus thought chuckling internally,‘look at me thinking on the bright side, and Sirius swears I’m a Pessimist.’
Despite these ‘cheery’ thoughts, Remus was pretty sure that no matter what happened with Narcissa at the moment, tonight was going to be a long night. Well, he supposed, it couldn't be any worse than he’d already been through, no matter what happened to him.

Character History:
Lucius Malfoy was born into a rich and noble Pureblood house that besides the Black’s were very much considered the equivalent of British Pureblood Royalty. Though of course if there were any actual royal ties the Malfoys would most certainly have stomped out any such rumors seeing as royalty was an exclusively muggle concept. But as far as the crème de la crème of society, that they would agree with.
Due to the lavish nature of his upbringing, Lucius has become very spoiled and has the idea that he always gets what he wants…as long as he maintains the Malfoy name. Indeed, though Lucius got material goods and plenty of opportunites, he was also expected to be as close to perfect as one could manage. Mistakes, at least public ones, are not tolerated in the Malfoy line, and so Lucius has had to learn how to play a part, how to cater to different types of people, and most of all how to be flexible.
There was no better house for Lucius than that of Slytherin. It truly fit him and his family like a glove. While many Purebloods have felt the pressure to be perfect and not show weakness, many of them have felt that it is a stressful endeavor, but not Lucius .Lucius Malfoy thrived off it. He loved playing different parts, controlling people like stringed puppets, and manipulating situations to his advantage. He loved to find blackmail and use them against others, or the look in a person’s eyes when they knew he’d caught them in his web, when they saw just how good Lucius was at it.
But he hated groveling. Sometimes it was necessary to get a good position, but it was his least favorite task. He was taught to be the perfect pureblood and bachelor. He was politically inclined and loved to make connections and use them to his advantage. But in order to rise to the top, one often had to use those in higher places. Some were pleasantly easily manipulated, and others he had no current way of rising above, so he had to grovel. Especially to one Lord Voldemort.
Indeed, though he was not yet out of Hogwarts, Lucius still had ties via his father and his associates, to a rising Dark Lord, whose plans would not only give the Malfoys an even better standing, but that could, if manipulated correctly, make Lucius himself the second most powerful man in the British Wizarding World, if he played his cards right.
So far it’s been quite a challenge balancing his good boy Prefect act with his darker proclivities and plans for the future, but if anyone can handle both and become the right hand man of the Darkest Wizard the Wizarding World has ever seen, it would be Lucius. After all, his life was made for it.

Personality overview:
Lucius Malfoy’s personality shifts and changes with what is necessary and important to the time and place. With teachers he’s the perfect Prefect and honor student, one who helps when anything is needed, asks for extra credit and work, and gives seemingly justifiable punishments or point deductions, when they are about. To Pureblood adults he’s the perfect son and heir, willing to do anything from marrying whom his parents want him to joining the Death Eaters in the upcoming Wizarding War to purify the blood again. To fellow Slytherins he was an example held up, where others younger than him were told and expected to be like him. To some students he was a hero, to others a villain, but whatever Lucius was he was stylish.
Growing up with the weight of the Malfoy name and what that meant Lucius was very much his namesake. He modeled his life in a similar way to his ancestors until he could barely tell you what part of him was real and what part was fake. But unlike most he rarely concerns himself with whether or not he was being his ‘true self.’ He is not even sure there is such a thing. What he does know is what he loves and hates, what he lives for and what he avoids.
Lucius is vain, seductive, self-serving, overbearing, tempting, manipulative, and cruel. He has no problem doing good or bad depending on a whim, or more likely, what is better for him. Except for extreme circumstances, necessities, and his needs/ whims, he is not a very touchy-feely person. He will use touch to manipulate and seduce when he must, but for the most part when its his decision he’d rather look his nose down at you than touch you. He also feels that Wand work is preferable to physical attacks, and in proper Pureblood form will spell rather than throw himself at a target.
There are very few people he sees as not expendable, so it takes a special sort to worm themselves into his affections. That being said for those very select few Lucius would go to hell and back to make them happy and proud. Of course that’s only provided he has a ticket back to Hogwarts. It only makes sense to be selfish in this crazy, ever changing world, right? In the end we are all alone in this world, so Lucius figures he might as well love himself the most so that he’s not disappointed, and he does a very good job of looking out for himself. After all, he is a perfect Malfoy.

RP Example:
It was Midnight in the dungeons by the time that Lucius Malfoy decided it would be safe to sneak out. He had laid down around eleven o’clock and made sure there were plenty of witnesses to his faux tired state and peaceful countenance. For someone so angelic looking, Lucius had devious and grandiose plans. He was playing with fire, since though still in school, he had joined a dangerous political revolutionary party, the Death Eaters. After seeing the power that the Dark Lord his father’s contacts had introduced him had, Lucius had decided to take a gamble and put himself on what looked to be the winning side of a possible Wizarding World War.
Lucius was young and the gamble seemed worth it, considering it held the possibility of a Pureblood established world, with the Malfoys even higher up than they even are now, and the possibility of opening up the small world magic users had given themselves, to taking over the muggle world as well. Imagine the entire world ruled by Purebloods. No more hiding in the shadows of muggle Neanderthals that were the descendants of those who had once persecuted Magic Users.
Why should Wizards have to hide? Muggles couldn’t hold a candle to magic users. With the flick of a wand they could be made deaf, dumb, and blind. If wizards could be controlled with a simple ‘unforgivable curse’ how much easier it was done to muggles. Yet the Wizarding World insisted on hiding and seemly fearing idiotic muggles. There were even rules in place for their protection. Had such protections been afforded to Witches and Wizards during the muggle Witch hunts? Hardly. Most of those caught weren’t even magic users, which Lucius appreciated to some degree. The idiots had killed each other as often if not more so than they’d managed to catch actual witches. Typical Muggles.
Thinking on these things as he slowly rose from his bed, seamlessly casting a spell to make it look like he was still in his bed to passerby’s and nosy neighbors, made him almost excited for the evening. He knew he’d soon have to do some butt kissing, which was not his favorite thing, but there was something to be said for manipulating someone with more power than you. Besides, the best thing about being the second as opposed to the exact top was that you still had tons of people under you, but there was always the opportunity to escape the consequences of said actions, should you choose the wrong side.
Keeping quiet Lucius slipped into his darkest green cloak and raised the hood over his very obvious long, blond hair. He slipped on gloves before grabbing his Death Eater mask and putting it into the pocket of his robe for now, as he slinked his way out of his dorm room. Moving with graceful snakelike movements he made his way up to the ground floor and slipped out of the building without disturbing too many specters.
It was a foggy night, which helped tremendously when slipping out of the Hogwarts property. Lucius made his way to a little known spot that his grandfather had found as a child and each had told the generation under, which was perfect for sneaky trips to Hogsmeade. Soon he was out of the castle, which was when he accio-ed his broom. As if Lucius Malfoy would walk such a far distance.
Once on his broom he was much more relaxed. It was the latest model, of course, and thus was quite good at maneuvering. There was even a seat cushioning charm so that he could be perfectly comfortable even at long distances. So Lucius was quite comfortable as he raced to Hogsmeade. Soon he was in front of J. Pippin's Potions. Stepping inside, Lucius placed his Broom in one of the store’s convenient holders, before slipping the owner a few galleons, and asking for access to their floo network. He stepped into the fireplace, taking out floo powder, and perfectly articulating,
“Knockturn Alley.”
Soon the powder hit the area, and Lucius arrived at his proposed destination. He walked out and walked the rest of the way to the meeting place. A few heads turned when they saw him enter from the doorway. Whispers broke out when some realized his age. The Dark Lord looked at him with a mix of pride and malice.
“Luc-ss-ious,” he practically hissed, “how nice of you to join us.”
Lucius gave a slight bow to the Dark Lord before making his way to his side,
“Forgive me my Lord, Hogwarts is not quite as close as I’d like and I didn’t want to get caught in case it could get back to you, but hopefully what I have for you makes up for it,” Lucius continued digging into his robes for what he had there under the mask he’d brought and handing it over, “still being in school affords me some information that others are not privy to occasionally. For one thing I’m able to be in somewhat close proximity to Albus Dumbledore, which is how I came across this information.”
He watched as Voldemort opened the note and a sickening grin spread upon his malicious face.
“Excellent, this is very good information Lucius. Perhaps though young you’re not useless after all.”
Though Lucius was offended, he didn’t show it, his face the perfect picture of Pureblood aristocratic smugness,
“You’re magnanimousness knows no bounds.” He said, feeling sarcastic, but not showing it.
He just had to remember that this was the man who was going to secure his future as well as his families. So no matter what he had to get along with him and prove his worth. He watched the Dark Lord’s face twist as he plotted and planned, and Lucius knew that he’d done good already. In no time he would be trusted enough to influence the Wizarding World future.
Lucius decided to focus on the future he wanted to help him cow tow to the man before him. He looked at the positive traits in order to show respect as he wished it to be seen. Whatever happened he had to keep up his persona. It shouldn’t be hard now though, as he’d just handed Voldemort what he’d found out by visiting the Headmaster himself and poking around the office while he waited for him. Dumbledore may well never know what he’d found in the Pensieve of his room, but now Voldemort did, and it was all thanks to Lucius Malfoy.
May the Malfoy name continue to grow and may all other houses respect and kiss the feet of the Malfoys. If he kept this up he could even overcome the Black name, but if he couldn’t…well there was always the possibility of an alliance. As long as he didn’t have to be with Bellatrix. She was fine for an ally, but he wanted someone much more pliable in a partner. Time would only tell and his father was considering his options anyway. That wasn’t Lucius’ job for now. For now he just had to work and wait. Good things would come to him soon.
After all, Malfoys were very good at biding their time and choosing just the right moment to strike or retreat.
Lily Evans

Age: 16
Bloodline: Muggleborn
Sexuality: Straight
Wand: 10¼", Willow, Phoenix Feather
Family
Father: Harry Evans
Mother: Carol Evans
Siblings: Petunia (As Muggle as they come)
Character History:
Lily Evans grew up in a normal house, with a normal loving family, and lived a normal life, at least at first. Around the age of nine strange things began to happen about the house. Windows and drawers suddenly opening, books flying around the room, and one time after a particularly big row between Petunia and Lily, a vase literally blowing up seemingly out of nowhere. Odd things began and could only be explained when at the age of eleven Lily Evans received a letter telling her that she was actually not quite as normal as she had first believed.
Lily was elated and surprisingly so were her parents. In their very British hum drum lives it was something to celebrate, most of the Evans family believed, except for Petunia. At the age of 11 Lily could not figure out why her sister had gone from the usual loving yet infighting to absolutely hating her sister. Petunia began calling her a freak and refused to associate with her unless absolutely necessary. Lily could understand a bit of transition, but as the years went by her sister still refused to see something different. But besides the sad state of affairs between herself and her sister she was still very excited and proud.
Lily had always loved to learn and the Wizarding World brought her tons of new material and scope for the imagination. Each event from figuring out how to convert muggle money to galleons, to buying her first wand, to walking through a hidden platform, it was all new and exciting, and the opposite of the boring life she would have had, if she’d stayed an ordinary muggle. She was also excited because as luck would have it even a friend of hers was going to school. Severus and her talked nonstop about how it would be until they were actually there.
It was unfortunate that Severus ended up in a different house than her. She had read up on the houses before coming and was almost certain that they’d both enter Ravenclaw if anything. But somehow Severeus got Slytherin and Lily got Gryffindor. Still both were excited to go to school and yet both soon ended up with a very problematic…stalker Lily would call it, by the name of James Potter.
It would not have been so bad if the person who chose to mess with them had been a normal student. No he had to be popular and for whatever reason this annoying, arrogant boy named James Potter just kept bugging them. With Lily he was the usual bratty way a boy got when teachers and adults said, ‘He probably just likes you.’ Lily hated that excuse as if boys could do whatever they wanted because they couldn’t control themselves. She’d met other boys who could control themselves, so she was sure he just refused to. But what James did to her was nothing to what he did to Severus. Lily had no idea what Severus could have possibly done for James and his cronies to be so against him. He kept mostly to himself and as far as she could see had not done anything to offend them and didn’t even try to get back at them. It was disgusting, downright bullying, and when she was around she refused to let him get away with it, especially once she made prefect.
What was worse was that it wasn’t just James. James Potter came with cronies, one in particular was probably more invested in attacking Snape then even James was, and his name Sirius Black. Peter was another one who would sometimes be spiteful towards Severus, but he only seemed to do it when James and Sirius were involved, at least as far as she had seen. The only one of the Marauder crew who Lily liked and who just seemed as if he didn’t have enough backbone to stop them was Remus Lupin, whom she actually had come to be friends with throughout the years, and whose greatest flaw was in not stopping his friends and in picking the wrong ones in the first place.
As she got older her sister got more bitter, her friendship with Severus became more weird and strained, and James ‘playing’ turned into some kind of challenge for him. Starting around fourth year he began to do the unthinkable. He acted like he was actually trying to pursue her which was preposterous and she believed obviously was a dare, likely by Sirius Black. But oddly he had thus far lasted two years, apparently not admitting defeat and in sixth year he is seemingly trying to become a better person. Lily doesn’t know whether this is a prank or not, but to her horror he seems to be wearing her down. Will she fall for his charms and the new him, or will he be revealed to be exactly who she first thought he was?

Weaknesses: Short Temper, too rigid, has a hard time believing that people have changed, her sister, etc…
Patronus: Doe

Personality overview:
Lily Evans is a very kind and loving person, whose heart goes out to those who are considered weaker or different. Perhaps because she is a muggle-born she’s more in tune to people’s feelings and tries to see where people are coming from which makes her very open and compassionate. Which can be good and bad, because she gives some people who deserve it a chance, but it also means that she can be and has been tricked before by people particularly good at acting. In that way she can be a bit naïve.
That being said she also has a fiery temper and it can be quite short with those she’s pissed at or that know how to push her buttons. Before she even knew of magic her temper would sometimes make things break or blow up around her. So she can be quite dangerous when riled up and sometimes uses her wand before she thinks. Most of the time however she’s more about yelling it out.
She loves books and learning, so she has an inquisitive and creative mind. She’s curious by nature so she can be talked into some dangerous but adventurous pastimes and trips. Because she’s muggleborn she does sometimes feel inferior which is why she studies magic so hard when she can. She is very sensitive which is why her emotions can sometimes be all over the place.
Overall she’s a smart, hard working witch with anger management issues, but a kind heart.

RP Example
It was a dreary day outside of the Hogwarts castle, which explained why the Great Hall was so packed for lunch. It was fascinating how the differences in mealtimes could change how many people were generally about. Breakfast was rather hit or miss as many students preferred extra sleep over bacon and toast. Lunch went back and forth as those who ate breakfast sometimes skipped lunch, and vice versa for the non-breakfast crowds, but if there was ever a time that nearly everyone came it was dinner. But today lunch seemed to be the thing and Lily was no different.
Having studied for a long time in the morning and gone to classes, she was famished. As she bit into a muffin she thanked the House elves in her mind and the person who had invented the spell that made the food appear so quickly in front of hungry students. One day she wanted to figure out how it was all done, but not on an empty stomach.
Feeling relaxed due to the small break Lily sighed into her food. Peaceful moments like this were beautiful. She had nothing to do or care about or yell or cry over. It was just bliss…or at least it was until she heard a big bang coming from the entrance of the Great Hall. Slowly she turned to face it as students began to chatter at the commotion, and like the victim of a horror story she watched as a giant banner flew across the Great Hall and booming sounds erupted like firecrackers everywhere it went.
Steeling herself as her apple muffin fell straight out of her mouth she began to read the letters on the banner with a very uneasy feeling.
‘Please go out with me Lily Evans.’
Lily’s hand slapped into her own forehead and she began to groan. Could she ever just have a normal magical day for once? Just one day without something frustrating or weird? This was what other girls wanted and told her she’d be crazy not to accept for?
“Lily!” James waved from his broom, zooming around while Sirius Black cackled maniacally as he made the loud booming sound, “This is for you!”
Lily knew that her brain was a very delicate organ, but it still didn’t stop her from banging her head into the desk and then whining as she mourned the loss of her momentary peace. She was going to have to deal with this in a minute and she really didn’t want to. But when she heard a scream from across the hall she knew it was her moment.
Quickly standing up Lily glared in the direction of James Potter, before yelling,
“James Potter you idiot! What on earth do you think you’re doing?! You’re in the Great Hall, People are eating, Brooms aren’t allowed on school property! How on earth is this supposed to make me want to date you?! And Sirius Black if you don’t stop making that sound I’m going to make you pop. All I wanted was a muffin and THIS is what I have to deal with!”
Lily pulled her wand out before quickly saying,
“Carpe Retractum.”
A magical rope formed and grabbed at one side of the banner, before she yanked it, sending the banner, and unfortunately James Potter on a broom towards her.”
“Oh damn it.” Was all Lily could get out before James Potter was practically wrapped around her via the banners hold.
As the two fell to the floor and Lily rethought her original plan she grit her teeth as she heard Sirius Black whistle and say,
“Way to go Prongs! Don’t forget to use the moves I taught you!”
Lily glared daggers at the boy currently on top of her,
“James Potter I swear if you pull any moves besides the one off of me I will make sure that not even your mother can recognize you.”
Lily wished she could rewind time and find a way to have never gotten tangled up with James Potter, if that was even possible, because when Potter had his eyes on you, you couldn’t even trust in one single peaceful moment. Or one apple muffin for that matter.

Bloodline: Pureblood
Sexuality: Hetero but bromance-ical
Wand: 11", Mahogany, Phoenix Feather Core
Family
Father: Fleamont Potter
Mother: Euphemia Potter
Siblings: Sirius Black, but not by blood.
Character History:
James Potter was born on a sunny March 27 to Fleamont and Euphemia Potter, who were most ecstatic to have him. His parents doted on him, particularly because he was something of a miracle baby. His parents had tried quite a long time to have him, so long that in fact his father, who had managed to quadruple the family fortune by creating magical Sleekeazy’s Hair Potion ( ‘two drops tames even the most bothersome barnet’ ), had actually retired right before James birth. Granted he had retired a bit early, but he was still no spring chicken.
Perhaps because of this, James was a very spoiled little boy. He lived a very easy life for the most part and had a fantastic childhood. Although prior to Hogwarts he was a very lonely boy as well.
You see James had no chance at having blood siblings, because his parents had tried hard enough to have him and once he was out it was enough of a miracle for them. Despite being pureblooded they didn’t particularly attend any get togethers, not usually getting along with many purebloods outside of work and the people they knew in the ministry. They weren’t into the blood purity thing. But at the same time they weren’t exactly searching for muggle friends or even halfblood buddies either. The two generally just wanted to be around each other and their son if any addition.
While James loved his parents he still wanted to hang out with people his own age. So when his father told stories he always wanted to hear the ones about Hogwarts most.
The day his mother took him to go shopping James nearly lost his mind. He was so excited that his mother practically bought out some stores, or so it seemed to James. A part of him was going to miss his parents, being the only friends he had so far, but a bigger part was ready for adventure and friendship.
He even met Sirius Black on the day he was shopping and they almost instantly became friends…after James had pulled a prank on some random kid walking past and Sirius spotted him, but simply smirked and introduced himself. It was friendship upon first glance.
Because of this Sirius will always hold a special place in his heart, but the one who truly won it was a beautiful red head whose eyes were as green as an emerald. Lily Evans.
James had made most of his closest friends, and certainly his best friends, on the train to Hogwarts. Not to long after that fateful encounter he had stumbled into her cabin whilst trying to figure out where the candy cart had gone. There he saw her, reading and talking with a boy that looked a bit like a vampire. She was beautiful even then, before his hormones, and while he may not have recognized it as love, he certainly was fascinated with her.
In fact, for his first three years she was pranked alongside Snape. Juvenile pranks mind you, the sort you hear about young boys doing to girls they liked all of the time. Hair pulling, pushing her into the wall while racing a friend, turning her skin purple. You name it and James did he. He couldn’t explain why, but he just needed her attention and she was withholding of it, unless he did something to grab it.
But by the start of 4th grade James figured out why he was so obsessed with Lily Evans, particularly when she came back prettier and smarter than ever. He quickly dropped the pranks (but only on her) and began to ask her out. Arguably it was easy to misconstrue James’ motives considering his track record with pranking her in particularly. But he kept at it, James is nothing if not persistent.
Of course, because he was not used to not getting his way, and because he was jealous that Snape was initially closer to Lily than he was, he began to tease the other boy, which started even before he knew why. He convinced himself of many things about Snape throughout the years, some true and others not, just to fuel the monster inside of him. Snape became a Slytherin while he was a Gryffindor, that was something to prank about, Snape got more into the dark arts and less into bathing regularly, James went at that, Snape acted anti-social except with Lily and James made it worse. The teasing got worse and worse as years passed, especially because of the loyalty of Sirius Black. True to his status as best friend, Sirius had taken on James enemy as his own.
James was grateful for this in the beginning, but as time passed and as Lily began to practically hate him, James’ view on things changed. It was too late to fix things so to speak with the other boy and he was still prideful despite trying so he wasn’t about to apologize. But the steam was out of him. Unfortunately Sirius wouldn’t give it up. His friend figured he should do it in honor of James, figuring his stopping to be a ‘whipped’ reasoning.
Which was another thing, the way James saw it Sirius didn’t like change and it seemed he also didn’t like Lily. Which was a bit problem. James figured it would go away at some point, after all Sirius was probably just angry that Lily rejected James so much. He was as loyal as they come after all. But it was still frustrating trying to keep Sirius happy while persuing Lily. Particularly when it really seemed as if she’d never even look at him.
Lately it’s gotten better in that department, but James still feels he’s on friend status. James has a lot on his plate at the moment, as might be expected of the leader of the marauders. He has tons of classes, has become Gryffindor’s Quidditch Captain, is still working on trying to get Lily to go out with him, needs to keep a very needy Sirius entertained when he can manage it, keep Remus’ furry little secret, make sure Snape keeps Remus’ furry little secret, get homework done and be a good boy so that Lily will look at him with anything other than anger, frustration, or disbelief. He also had other things to take care of and practices to be done.
But if there is one thing to take away from his history it’s that James Potter does not give up and that’s where we find ourselves even today.

James Potter is very loveable, despite being rather narcissistic. As someone who was a very spoiled only child, he does have a long way to go, but he is trying to be a better, less selfish person so that he can get the girl of his dreams. Okay so a little selfishness is in there as well. But despite being a prankster people really love him because for the most part he has a beautiful heart…or maybe it’s his looks, particularly when he’s astride a broom bringing in the Gryffindor the Quidditch Cup. He’s your quintessential Gryffindor, Brave, Courageous, Chivalrous (at least with women anyway), and practically its posterboy. Although Slytherin might have a thing to say about this guy, he’s practically a demi-god to Gryffindor and his head is the size to match expectations.
Still, despite his popularity and big headedness he has only ever had eyes for Evans, and has no problem telling girls that he’s taken, or he will be rather. While Sirius considers this a waste, James knows who he wants and isn’t settling for less. He’d rather be a bachelor all his life still trying to convince the girl than marry anyone other than his soul mate.
He tries to be romantic, but he’s a bit of a goof up in that area. He cares a lot, but
just doesn’t have the moves. He often goes to Sirius for advice, but as Sirius can’t always be trusted when it comes to Lily, James often asks Remus now-a-days.
Whatever he is, James views friendships and relationships higher than anything else, even Quidditch. He is very trusting of his friends and family, and once you are in, you’re in for life. Loyal, brave, and true James is someone you absolutely want to be on your side and those who have his love, will never lose it no matter what they do, unless its against someone else he loves.
At Hogwarts
House: Gryffindor!
Classes being taken: DADA, Charms, Divinations, Herbology, Life Skills, Muggle Studies, Potions, Transfigurations.
Best classes: DADA, Transfigurations, Potions (thanks to his dad), and Life Skills. He also adds Quidditch even though it’s technically not a class.
Worst classes: Charms (he doesn’t like it because to him its fru fru stuff) , Muggle Studies (he really tries though), and Herbology (keeping things alive is harder than it looks).
RP Example:
James Potter was incredibly tired. It had been a long day between classes and Quidditch practice and all he currently wanted was to sleep. But homework had yet to be done and he was trying very desperately to be good so that Lily would give him the time of day…assuming he could actually find time in a day.
Of course one who wants to study would normally go to ones dorm room or some such, but very few are marauders…although to be more accurate, very few people shared a dorm room with Sirius Black.
James loved his best friend, but Sirius Black did not stand for lack of attention, and one can’t do ones homework and give ones best friend there complete attention at the same time. Not to mention that since James was often busy, he had been slacking in that area as it was. It would take very little to guilt James into going to goof off, rather than study. And if anyone could make him lose his resolve to study it was Sirius.
Remus would try to help if he was around, but he had his own work to get done. Sometimes James wished Sirius would start doing his work now that the rest were focusing on it. But Sirius always travelled to the beat of a different drum, in his family and in friendships, he wasn’t a real joiner as a general rule.
James sighed. He did miss his friends and want to just hangout with them, but for now there wasn’t time, and so he headed to the library to finish up work. Maybe when he was done he’d sneak out to Hogsmeade with Sirius for old times sake. Sirius would like that and James would too. Plus it was always fun to drag Remus and Peter away with them on their wild trips. And although James was trying to be good he wasn’t going for Sainthood.
A little trip wouldn’t hurt.
With those thoughts James hurried along to do his homework, after all it was bound to be a long night.
If we chat I can likely come up with more, but these are good for now. If you have any ideas let me know and I'll let you know if I'm up for it.
