[years of experience]

7 years serving as a Dog Handler in the Army. 3 years as a security guard in Blackwell Asylum.

[personality]

Usually stoic and uncaring, people say that Hansel might even belong to the patients of Blackwell instead of a guard. However, it should be noted that he isn't at any way, shape or form insane. It's just that he doesn't care much about anyone too much yet. He tends to have a bored look on his face, as if he's just there because of something that is beyond his control. Then again, that is the reason why he is there. It was something beyond his control. Anyhow, he doesn't care for anything shady going on at the place. They're experimenting on the patients? So be it. The guards are beating the patients up? As long as it isn't him on their parties, then that was fine by him. For him, he just has to do his job as a guard and that was all there is to it. He feels no need to involve himself any further than he already is... unless certain situations arise. Hansel only seems to show care and love for his dog - Jakob (pronounced as Ha-kob).

[profile]

Hansel was born to a German couple who immigrated to America even before he was born. His past was generally normal but he found himself getting along with animals more than humans. Or well, he seems to get along with every animal he finds. It's like they know that he's a friendly person and won't do anything. However much Hansel seems kind to animals, humans don't seem to feel this. A lot of people seem to be put off by the never-changing look on his face. It always seems to be stuck in this  So that's why he doesn't have many friends. He isn't very social either. However, he does follow his parents' orders. He did well in school and his parents allowed him to choose whatever he wanted to do.

He seemed to like the prospect of being in the military but also found himself wanting to have an animal companion. The opportunity of a Dog Handler opened up to him and he then he began his military training. He, more or less, excelled in it as his body was already well-built since he entered. After that was done, he took on the AIT (Advanced Individual Training) that was needed for Military Working Dog handlers which he was striving to be. He soon passed and he became a handler. This was around the time he obtain Jakob, a small pup at that time. He trained the pup tirelessly and cared for him and they are now the pair they are today.

The only reason why he is in Blackwell is because his family is in great need of money and someone paid him a lot of money to work here and continues to supply his family with said money if he continues working there. When he found out about the experimentation, he was originally curious as to why they were doing that but soon lost interest. Though he did find out that it was because they wanted to create a super soldier or something. He doubted experimenting with high-end criminals, serial killers and mentally ill people was a good idea but he just shrugged it off. He is also very wary of the criminals inside the Asylum. He does read all of the files of the patients and know them by name and face... but that also meant that he knew of their records. Some of them did some pretty gruesome stuff.
