Hello good people of RPN!
Today, I have a specific vibe of game I’m looking for: Paranormal Sci-fi, for lack of a better descriptor. I’m looking for something in the vein of X-Files, Warehouse 13, and the like — cryptids, aliens, ghosts, the unexplained, all that good stuff. There’s all sorts of things here.
I’m also thinking about something more police procedural, almost, because I’ve been wanting to play a specific character of mine, Alex Rhodes, and he is a criminal profiler and investigator with the FBI who has some interesting tastes. He’s also got juuust enough experience with the supernatural to ALSO function as a paranormal sci fi character.
I have two characters in particular I’m really interested in playing with right now, Morgan and Alex. Morgan is more of a paranormal/sci-fi character, Alex is more flexible.
A bit about me as well!
I’m Sleipnir, Sleip for short. I don’t take this too seriously, as I am in fact an upper-20s adult who roleplays as a hobby, and I currently have a bit of time on my hands. I’m nonbinary and consider myself bigender, so I’m always down to interact with like minds!
I’m not looking for specific criteria, except I would prefer to write with someone roughly my age. I’m not a diehard romance writer; if the dynamic occurs and fits, that’s great! I don’t require it though. I’m okay with ghosting, I’m pretty laid back and understanding, and I’m not gonna demand all your attention all the time. I usually write between three and five paragraphs at a time, but can get MUCH more out when I’m setting a scene or starting a thread. I’m not super picky about reply length as long as you’ve got stuff happening, usually at least a couple paragraphs, maybe.
I’d like to plot with potential partners and work on plot lines together! I do best when I have some sort of plan, I’m really bad at “pantsing”. I wanna hear ALL the brainstorming and ideas! I’m all for all sorts of stuff, and would love to hear your ideas regardless of whether they fall close to my word bank ideas or not!

Morgan McCoy (26) is a park ranger who canyoneers, hikes, does search and rescue, and gives talks about stars, bats, ‘n bugs. She’s tough as nails, she’s rough around the edges, she’s social, she’s got guts, and weird stuff follows her around like that’s what she was born for. She doesn’t understand why she’s like this, or what attracts weird stuff to her, but that’s how her whole life has been. She embraces it, she isn’t scared of it. She’s got her soft spots, but hides them at first. She spends her time hunting down the strange and cryptic in an attempt to understand it. Morgan is bisexual.
Alex Rhodes (33) was trained from a troublingly young age for his line of work — a fact he seems not to notice is unusual and a little troubling. He’s a homicide investigator and profiled for the FBI, graduated top of his class, and works hard to do his job. His life has brought him a little closer to the paranormal than he might like to be, and he knows a little too much about it. He’s adaptable, though, and very charismatic and extroverted. He’s smooth as can be and can adjust to the changes to his worldview with ease. Sometimes, his fascination with and understanding of his targets, the killers he hunts down, borders on admiration or even something else. Alex is gay.
