Some might say that Stormie is abit violent. She tends to not like when people get in her way. She sees people only as useful as they are at doing their job. She thinks the ends justify the means no matter what.
Biography:
Stormie grew up in Grungefall which led her to be hardened and a good fighter. She was 13 when the first revolt occured and was even apart of it to a degree although it failed. Despite this she made a name for herself by forming a gang of thugs known as "The Ravagers" which at their peak claimed a large portion of Grungefall as their territory although they were eventually broken down after an anonymous tip to the Enforcers resulted in the entire gang being caught. For a few years nobody knew what happened to the legendary Stormie Langstern. Personality: Inventive (and slightly befuddled) Tinkerer
Biography: Thomas was born to a mother who was a maid and a father who was a drunkard. He grew up on the streets in the absolute worst part of town because of this. His father abandoned them shortly after Thomas was born, and his mother struggled to make ends meet to keep them both alive. She did her best up until Thomas' tenth birthday, when she passed away from being worked too much by her employer. They didn't even offer Thomas any kind of compensation for working his mom to her death, the buggers! After that, Thomas scrounged around every day for any and all things he could find, whether it was food, parts that people had thrown away in the dump, and tools. The one thing of his dad's he had left was a big wrench that he named Pearl.

    Name: Jack
    Age: 15
    Gender: male
    Sexuality: unknown
    Place of Origin: Grungefall
    Class Status/Occupation: orphan/workhouse boy
Personality: Jack is clever and quick, with a keen eye for trouble. The workhouse life has made him slow to trust but he's learning to rely on his instincts about certain people. Jack is usually willing to lend an ear, or help someone with mechanical problems. Jack is fascinated with all things machine. The things he genuinely trusts right away are animals. Animals are always true to how they feel, and they can't lie. In a world where the strong stamp on the weak, Jack has learned that he cannot tolerate bullies, and will go out of his way to even odds.

He's got a sharp tongue and sometimes he doesn't know when to stow it, but mostly, he is kind, and dependable and generally, if you're on his good list, very helpful. There is a darker side to Jack however, a deep-seeded hatred of the upper classes. The abuse of power provokes a cold, dark rage that can sometimes push him to do terrible things.

Biography: Jack barely remembers what his mother looked like. She left him on the doorstep of an orphanage when he was only three years old. The place was barely held together, and run by an old woman who was kindly, but frail. Jack grew there, but only just, eating what little there was and banding together with some of the other boys when he was older, to steal bread and meat pies on the streets. When time and an illness finally claimed their old caretaker, Jack was six years old. The state claimed the building, handing it off to a wealthy and crooked businessman and every able-bodied child was sent away to his various workhouses across Grungefall. Those that couldn't work, were thrown back onto the streets.

The next eight years were filled with hard labour, soot and darkness, but even through that bleak existence, Jack found ways to make life better. He was a quick study, and would often sneak away to help the old mechanists at the docks. There were a great many sailors missing limbs, or eyes, else, had fantastic dust machines that worked wonders of elemental ingenuity. Jack became fascinated with inventing. He started on animals, there was no shortage of injured ones in Grungefall, replacing missing legs or tails. He would help repair dust canisters and machines too and learned how they worked. More often than not, he had to return to the workhouse for food, and when his absence was noticed, he was beaten soundly.

Jack tried not to pay it much mind, as long as it was only him getting the stick, however one day, during a particularly long absence, his best friend was dragged into the workmaster's office and questioned. Jack found his friend in the streets outside the workhouse, he was barely alive, and by his wounds, Jack knew he wasn't going to last the night. He had refused to give up Jack's location, refused to say anything at all, and for that, they had done this. By morning, Jack was forced to bury his best friend. Something changed in Jack that day. That evening, he crept down to the docks and stole fuses, mechanisms and fuel. The workhouse dorms were separate from the factory, and he knew the workmaster often spent nights going over production records.

The fire that broke out that night raged through every corner of the workhouse, incinerating all of the equipment, and the unfortunate workmaster trapped inside. Oddly the fire did not spread anywhere else. The blaze was perfectly set, and controlled. Jack took what little he could, and never looked back.

    Dust Mage Type: none
    Likes/Dislikes:
Likes: animals, machines, smart mouths, food (any kind), inventors,
    Skills:
Mechanist: Jack is fairly handy with mechanics, from prosthetic limbs to dust tech, though he has a long way to go inventing his own machines, he is a fair hand at repairing things, provided he has the parts. He is generally familiar with most makes and knows his way around a decent set of tools.

Escape artist: Jack had to get pretty good at avoiding authorities. He is lithe and fast and usually always has a getaway plan in his head before he needs it. Though it sometimes breaks, he also has a pack with two grappling hooks on ball and socket launchers, allowing him to scale buildings up to three stories high, and traverse rooftops swiftly and safely (most of the time).
    Gear:
A rusty tool set (that can also pick locks)
    His grappling hook backpack
    A crank shaft pocket light
