Fumiko was raised solely by her mother whom had to work day and night just to keep the two from sinking into poverty. That being said, growing up Fumiko had almost no luxuries and was constantly pushed by her mother to yearn for success and success alone which also culminated in a push for intelligence which Fumiko's mother taught her to associate with success through phrases such as "I should have stayed in school ya know, sweetie? Your brain is your most powerful weapon, hone it or you'll be a failure like me." this lead to Fumiko's entire way of thinking; knowledge and data are the only things that matter. Eventually this eroded by a slight margin where she has placed friendship and socializing as important with information, which she figured out after a life-long depression streak that had her down in the dumps almost constantly. That was until she met her first friend in junior high, she was awful at socializing, but it made her feel genuine happiness for once in her life.

Most of the time Fumiko is calm and collected, her attitude pours confidence but is more ignorance than anything else as she has no care for social boundaries, empathy, or how others perceive her actions. Her movements are almost robotic, in a sense, carefully thought out and methodical nothing can stop her once she has her mind set on a certain destination; if Fumiko decides to do something it gets done as efficiently as she possibly can. Her determination runs deep, her mother instilled that in her at a young age, she will succeed in her efforts even if it takes her a thousand attempts there is no possible way she will fail at anything and let it stay a failure, she recently allowed that to extend from simple skill mastery and grades to socializing with peers; she hounds on anyone she decides she will befriend until they reciprocate friendship which has worked for her, but also lead to her being marked as a pure annoyance leading to further isolation from those around her.

Up until her final year of junior high school Fumiko had her eyes set on one of the most prestigious high schools in the country that produced many of the most elite members of the country such as millionaires and politicians, she could have gotten in too, but alas there was certainly no way for her mother to pay for such a school and while her plan to take out an immense debt then pay it off once she was incredibly successful drove her towards the school but, her one friend, helped her realize that if she made even one misstep she would end up in a situation even worse than her mother's and then die alone and destitute that lead to a reevaluation of her life, which lasted for weeks on end as Fumiko balanced pros and cons gathering data from many sources, most of which being fellow students at her school which helped her decide the path she truly wanted to take and that was traveling. She desired to travel the world and meet all sorts of individuals, she could even collect information about the countries she went to for fun; after all she still found information incredibly important, just also wanted more than knowledge, and now her goals were on socializing she was terrible at it but eventually she could improve all she needed was practice.

Personality: Can be very honest and critical of himself and will often shy away from being in the spotlight, usually passing credit to others. Ken has a switch of sorts where he gets excessively competitive, losing means dejection which fuels him to be better. He does his best to hide how much it pains him to lose but cracks will show. Overall it has made him want to be better person, Ken can recall a couple times he lost his cool when he was younger and he regrets being that guy. Between the divorce and moving to a new school, among other things, Ken just didn’t have it in him to put himself through all that trouble which pains him more than he lets on. It was just a matter of chance his dad came across Hanabi which Ken doubts will have any teams to tempt him from just being a normal student.

Though he is hard on himself he is very easy to get along with and really likes hanging out with friends. Initially he will come off shy and will rarely initiate a conversation with strangers but is quick to warm up to a friendly face. The people who take the time to befriend Ken will find he is an amiable, considerate, and easy-going guy but he can get pretty stubborn. Ken will go out of his way to support his friends which is where he shows an observant and empathetic side. Another thing they may notice is how he is quick to turn conversations around should they start focusing on him. He has always been diligent in doing his school work and helping around the house, but that was before he moved into a dorm.

Or, if he feels like drawing attention to himself as he so often does, he likes to make wisecracks at whatever the teacher might be saying on a certain day. To say he isn’t often in trouble and on every teacher’s shit-list would be factually incorrect. He’s certainly a bold young man, unafraid of speaking his mind or ruffling the feathers of others. He’s making sarcastic quips or trying to make someone laugh pretty much every day of his life. Touya encompasses the smart but lazy student - there’s so much to do and he’s no stranger to juggling, with baseball, working part-time, and priding himself over his social life taking up much of time. Schoolwork is, sadly, last on his list of priorities (though he often ends up in a flustered panic once testing rolls around). Despite an outwardly better-than-you demeanor, mostly present in his ever-smirking face, Touya is the first person to approach others without question, willing to give anyone a chance.

Background: Danila or Dan for foreign friends and those who do not share his nationality, is a young guy who has seen fair bit of struggle throughout his young life. Born in St. Peterborough, Russia, into a a loving family for the outside world, but unhappy marriage and family on the inside. Although he himself never got no abuse from his parents, he still witnessed a lot of verbal and physical fights between his parents. They did not love each other, but because of the fling they had and the fact that Dan's mother got pregnant with him, it was a shame to be a single mother in Russia, so their marriage was forced and never actually became a happy one. While his father Kiril was a shift manager in the port, his mother Alina was a teacher in one of the most prestigious universities in St. Peterborough. They finally got divorced when Dan was just 5 years old. You could not tell that Dan was a troubled kid, but things changed as he got older. At age of 7 he started to attend school and although being a good student and a kid with bright head on his shoulders, he had a tendency to pick up fights with other boys. It was hard to understand the reasoning behind these fights, but there was the fact that almost every week he would get into one. Alina, his mother, tried to deal with her sons violence towards his classmates or pretty much any other boy in school, but without a luck, so when few years later, Dan was 12 at that time, she received offer to become a lecturer in a Japanese college, she did not hesitate and accepted it. There was a hope that by changing the environment around Dan, he would change as well and stop being so aggressive. Few months later they moved to Japan.

Personality: Danila is a straight forward guy who is not afraid to be confrontational if needed. He is not scared of a fight and will always stand for his and his friends honour. Often he thinks that only way to deal with a problem is via physical action. He does not like to "talk it out" if someone has said something offensive. He always goes by the Russian proverb "Otvechai za slova" which in translation means that you have to be careful for what you say and if you have said it, then you have to answer for your words. In general he has the ideals of the old times when it was not acceptable for man to be publicly sensible and weak. In all reality, although he might be giving this cold and though guy vibe, he is a warm and caring person who is not used to show his emotions to people that he does not trust with them. Once you get to know him, you have made a friend for life that will fight and die for you. Danila believes in romance and love through words. This didn't concern her at first, but realizing the importance of good grades for future studies it has become somewhat of an anxiety source for her. She has the potential but doesn't seem to know where to start. Despite this, Ming is not considered to be dumb, she is simply too lazy to maintain or make use of her potential.

When Ming was 5 her mother cheated on her father with a colleague, this caused their marriage to crumble, though neither one of them seemed to be willing to give up. This led to her parents fighting a lot and Ming grew up not knowing what a healthy relationship looks like. As she had no siblings and few friends around her growing up, she often turned to video games to distract herself from her parents fighting. She values honesty and can't stand when people lie, for obvious reasons. Ming has a big heart and is very generous, she'll share food or a drink without a second thought.
