Appearance:
knt09-5-jpeg.296693

todoke-ep01-02-jpeg.296695

Height:6'5

Year:Second

Personality:Yukari despite her looks is actually very nice she's very much a gentle giant not wanting to hurt a fly. But she can get a bit competitive when it comes to volleyball, she doesn't think of herself as anything less or more than a middle blocker/attacker. She tends to act like a mother rather than a teammate worrying about the others on the team pushing themselves too hard but not paying attention to how much she is pushing herself. Often needing the team captain or someone to tell her which she'll then take into consideration as soon as you tell her. She has a habit of getting a bit too into cheering or getting excited after scoring.

Bio:Yukari always has been taller than most even back in elementary she was tall something she had gotten from her mother, who was tall as well. But her being tall wasn't what caused others to avoid her it was her eyes that scared them. Eyes that she again got from her mother who was an ex-delinquent but while she shared her mother's natural glare she also share's her father's kind heart. Her father a kind man meet her mother in highschool it being love at first sight for the two of them. Due to her long hair and eyes many are scared of her and compare her to a demon or ghost. Yukari tired making friends but her shyness only proved to make things worse for her as she attempted to befriend others. Those who were a bit braver asked if she was joining any sports clubs in middle school Yukari figuring it'd be a good chance to make friends decided to try all kinds of sports.

She tried karate, boxing, soccer and of course basketball. But in each one she just didn't feel any spark for the sport that's when she tried out volleyball and her first spike ignited a fire in her heart for the sport. She trained day in and day out in the gym alone since no one ever saw her practice anything but the normal stuff they began thinking she was some kind of prodigy. Yukari began to realize she again was all alone even on the team she was treated almost like a wild dog being let loose on the court while the others sat back and watched her tear apart the other team. The pressure from carrying the team got to her and she quit before the tournament she heard her team had lost and knew they would blame her. But as the new school year slowly began to arrive she became excited hoping that maybe this time she could have real teammates, and play real volleyball.

Position:Middle blocker/attacker/Captain

Skills:Solid blocker, Strong Spike

Unique Skill:Giant's leap/jump-Using her height most of the time Yukari only has to jump a small bit to reach the top of the net. But she can go up higher than most can letting her get over most blocks, the down side of this being she loses some power from her spikes making them easy to receive if someone is ready to stop her.

Name: Yasue Emiko (Emiko being her first name)

Nickname(optional): Emi by her friends

Appearance:
d7da04315178becca03de0480a561608.jpg

Height: 5'5

Year: 1st

Personality: Emi, most of the time, is very bubbly and happy. She has a great interest in photography and loves to capture each moment in a picture. She likes to say that it's to revisit the past. Emi can also be, what some like to say, somewhat dimwitted and definitely forgetful.

However, that all changes when she's on the court or otherwise has reason to be serious like exam time. Emi is surprisingly perceptive, whether it's about her opponents or about her teammates. She can read body language very well, especially sadness, and she tries to strive to cheer anyone and everyone up with any means necessary. Even going as far as to make a fool of herself on purpose.

Bio: Unknown to most, Emi suffers from depression and struggles with it on a day to day basis and tries to cover it up with her antics. In her early life, she struggled to find anything to make her happy, music, art, games, friends, before she finally turned to sports. At first she only joined because a friend joined as well until Emi found she truly enjoyed it. For the first time, she really liked doing something and decided to keep at it.

Position: Libero

Skills: She's quite fast, not afraid to dive and has an instinct for where the ball will land and where exactly to pass it. She can sub in as a second setter when the need arises.

Unique Skill: Other than the ability to play as a second setter, doesn't really have one. Can add one if you need it though.

Anber Washington

Nickname:
Ann

Appearance:

3a1cf93bdebe18cdba4e7a65164c59c9--dark-skin-girls-anime-characters.jpg

Height:
6'4

Year:
1st

Personality:
Anber is a bright, energetic and athletic high-school student. She alternates between melancholy and incredible optimism, often unpredictably. Anber is indeed stubborn and doesn't like to admit her mistakes, usually blaming other people. Also, she gets angry very easily, being an egotistical, irascible and impulsive person. Her behavior is considered eccentric, and she has little interest in her classmates nor has she ever had any interest in them. Anber is a single-minded person she quite simply lives and breathes volleyball and has done for many years.

Bio:
Anber Washington was born and raised in the United States and from a very young age, Anber was brought up playing volleyball thanks to heavy influence from her mother. At the age of ten Anber's mother and father left the states to go and take care of Anber's father's parents who had both turned deadly ill due to old age, this move wasn't a small one like to another state oh no Anber's father was born in Japan and still live there so Anber was forced to move across the world to a country where she only knew the very basics of the language.

The move was very difficult for Anber not knowing the language made school very hard however after a year she managed to grasp enough of the language to get by and after taking a year hiatus from Volleyball she began to start getting fully back into it she found a small club that needed members and she joined it. The club never did anything competitive but often played small scale three vs three games and training together which was fun but Anber wanted more she wanted to play competitively.

As high school came around she knew what she needed to do she wanted to pick a team that wasn't too well known but one that she knew had a volleyball team and it was that line of thinking that lead her to join Akatsubasa.

Position:
Ace/Left Wing Spiker

Skills:
Her first skill isn't really a skill but noteworthy, she is left-handed. She is extremely strong when it comes down to spiking. While not the fastest player on the court her speed isn't to be doubted.

Unique Skill:
Ambidextrous Spiking. Anber can Spike at full strength with both of her arms allowing her to spike from both sides of the court without a problem.

Height:5'4

Year:Second

Personality:Just as she looks Tanashi is a bright and cheerful gal she tends to put 2000% into cheering for the team. She loves volleyball just as much as any other player of the sport would and praises any who are any good at the sport. She treats all the members on the team like her little siblings calling them strange nicknames. Even those older than her are treated like younger siblings and given these strange nicknames. She's very talkative and tends to not know when to stop talking which can lead to her saying something that doesn't mean to sound well mean but sounds it none the less. She takes her job as manager seriously and will try and help the couch keep everyone on track no matter what that takes. She has a habit of mentally shipping two people that catch her eye. She'll even engage in her own story telling from time to time filling in the words for the two as she sees them talking from afar.

Bio: Originally Tanashi had no interest other than making tons of friends she made friend after friend. But each one seemed more finite than the last eventually Tanashi became bored of making all these short-term friends. She wanted something to do in her spare time so she decided to become a team manager, not wanting to be hit on by boys since she is oh so pretty. She became the manager of the girl's volleyball team it only took one game for her to fall in love with the sport. She didn't wanna play it no she simply just wanted to watch the players jump up and almost fly as they spiked the ball to the other side of the net. It was then Tanashi settled on her choice on becoming team manager and giving her all to the team. From the sidelines.

Kris - everyone

Human Calculator - She's embarrassed by it but doesn't really care much
A Robot - ^^^

Height
5'8"

Year
Second
(She is taking Third Year Classes. She, however, refuses to graduate earlier and plans to use her Third Year to improve her skills needed for her audition/application to the college she wants to go to.)
Basic Personality
She is seen by most as cold, uncaring, and distant. In reality, she is the opposite but she is very focused on getting a scholarship into college, which causes her to unintentionally zone people out. She is very intelligent and has some of the highest grades in the country. When you get close to her, you will find out that she is actually a nice and friendly person. She is extremely loyal and loves to see those she cares about smile. She is usually ruled by logic rather than emotion, which led to people calling her a robot. When she wants to do something, she is determined to get it done. Her life goal is to go to college, get a really good job, and be able to take care of her family. She also loves playing the violin and singing as it was one of the few things she could do to entertain herself.

Bio
Kris is the oldest of a family of 12, having 4 younger sisters and 5 younger brothers. Because of this, money has always been a problem for her family. Despite this, Kris's parents always did what they could for their children. For example, in 5th grade, Kris was going through a musician phase, so they scrounged up the money to get her a violin. Because of this, Kris always worked hard in school and other activities just to make them proud. Ever since elementary school, she'd study 2 hours every night just to make sure she got a really good grade for her parents.

In middle school, Kris was already thinking about college. She did research and decided she wanted to get into one of the most prestigious colleges in the country. Unfortunately, she realized that being tight on money, she needed to get a scholarship to go there. Doing more research, she found out that there was a full scholarship to the college for the "Renaissance Man". It stated that they would give a full scholarship to someone that excelled in multiple areas/subjects. Because she was already making really high grades in all of her subjects and she was a really good violinist and singer, Kris decided to do a sport to top it all off.

Literally showing up randomly to a tryout, Kris went to a Volleyball tryout. After being explained the rules, Kris began to play. Although she wasn't perfect, she was really good, as the couch noticed she put her knowledge in other subjects, specifically math and science, into play. After making the team, Kris realized that she really enjoyed playing Volleyball and since it was easy to practice, she quickly started becoming really good at it.

Volleyball
Position: Setter

Skills : She is very fast and agile, able to get where she needs to be quickly and effectively. She is good at both Jump Sets and Tight Sets, and excels at saving the ball from hitting the net and saving the ball from hitting the ground. She rarely tips and because of this is a little weaker at this skill, although she is not terrible at it.

Unique Skill:
VMAS (Volleyball, Math, and Science) Genius - Because of all the work she put into her subjects, she knows enough about Math & Science to be able to get the ball exactly where she wants it to go, a majority of the time.

Sorry, but with my current circumstances, I'm not certain that I'll be able to maintain a consistent posting schedule. I understand how important the posting routine is in a RP like this, so I feel like I'll simply be a burden to the flow of the matches. I'll be dropping out, my apologies.

I hope there is still room for one more

Name: Yuriko Miyamoto

Nickname(optional): "elementary-school girl", "megane witch", "the princess in disgrace"

2b5a6ffd4336b25646ce6249291b679e.jpg

As the rest of her female cousins, her skirt reaches until under her knees, she wears usually conservative clothes and has a strong resistance to wear the short thights used generally by Japanese girls for P.E.

Height: 5'8''

Year: Second

Personality: Yuriko can be an incredibly intense person to be around. She believes that idleness is the worst crime a person can commit, therefore she is put in charge of a group she becomes very pushy and bossy. This means that while very hard working and impressively skilled, she also has a tendency towards harshness barely hidden under her aristocratic manners.

But under this outside of a girl with a school-principal complex, there is a shy girl who constantly restrains herself worried about what her family may think

Bio: Yuriko was born in the Miyamoto family, a traditional and conservative family, which has a tradition in the practice of kenjutsu and have a dojo, she is not average when comes to kenjutsu but for her family she doesn't have enough skills , and they had alreaddy choose her younger brother to be the heir of the dojo, it didn't sour her relation, they still get along and she even takes care of him.

She received a strict education and her family set high expectations on her, and she is now an excellent student and class representative.

Her strict view of the tings had made her relatively hated/mocked (particularly by her female schoolmates) who usually mentions her lack of friends or that she has never seen with a boyfriend, though few got the guts to say in front of her.

Boys also don't like her because as kenjutsuka she has proved capable to put in order many of them, and while she prefers to make her point with words or a glance she doesn't fear to recur to what she learned in her family's dojo.

She secretly has fell in love with a boy of her class, a relation that will not work because her family never will approve it and because her own reputation at school.

Now she found in a situation unknown for her, she was at fault after an "incident". The teacher told her she was calling her parents (which was a no-no for her) besides it will affect her image as model student, but it ended telling her to join a sport club, which didn't include physical confrontation, her teacher simply added "it would be good for you, a sport can help you to release stress and also to learn some teamwork".
She avoided kenjutsu, kendo or similar and then choose voleyball.

Name: Mizaki Shin

Nickname(optional): Shin (hates being called by his first name.... Well strangers calling him by his first name.)

Appearance:
7155936b848485e17ad60ee66f778aaf.jpg

Height: 5'7"

Year: 3rd Year

Personality: Shin is very open with those he calls friends. But there are still some secrets he holds back on, mostly because he likes his friends and doesn't want them to think less of him. He is very out going when it comes to challenges. Even if the risk is too great, Shin is the kind of guy that likes the difficult odds.

He can take things out of context as he sometimes does not understand common human nature. His mind is always focused on the project at hand. Making him oblivious as to what is going on around him.

At times Shin can become hot headed very quickly and easily. He is loyal to his friends and will do anything for them. Thus why he is where he is now....

Bio: Ever since Shin was young he has been playing Volleyball. His older sister who is almost eight to ten years older than him, played. She was in the championships and even further after collage. She plays professionally now for the Japanese Volleyball team.

So it was natural for Shin to look up to his older sister and to start playing at a very young age. He practiced with his sister Ayaka Yuki (married another famous Volleyball player named Taiyo Yuki.) all the time, it was a good excuse to spend time with her.

But during his first year in high school the boys team was in the championships and Shin was targeted by the other team. Shin was good enough to be an Ace but fell hard during a play. His right ankle was shattered, leaving Shin out of the game for a long time. While on the mend Shin still wanted to play, but couldn't. His ankle is still weak from the injury and due to the lack of practice time and game time, Shin sadly would not be able to step foot on the court ever again.

So Shin put his mind to work to figure out how to stay with the game. He tried for the manager for the guys team, but they had one. He tried for the girls team and yet... They had one too.... He thought about changing schools in hopes to find a school that had something open for him to do with the game when the coach approached him and mentioned that they needed an assistant coach. Shin took the offer without a second thought.

He has been helping out the girls team ever since the beginning of his second year in high school.

Position: Assistant Coach

Skills: Knows the game.

Unique Skill: Can get under the opposing team's skin. Making it difficult for the opposing team to focus.

Name: Kaiyo Sanzu

Nickname(optional): Nao (No one really calls her by her real name. This is the nickname that her friends have been calling her for a long time.)

Appearance:
1eae76cdd39a6f4e6e36652e12164d3c.jpg

Height: 5'4"

Year: First year

Personality: Nao is down right moody. She isn't easy to get along with at first as she comes off as mean or ready to fight over any spoken word. From first glance one would not expect for Nao to be into sports or even being a team player. But in truth, once on a team and she knows she can trust you, Nao will always have your back. She will start a fight over nothing if that nothing made her friends feel bad. She will become over protective of them very quickly.

Bio: When Nao was young all she wanted was friends. She tried so hard to make at least one friend, but all ended with people turning on her and bullies picking on her. Nao was having a hard time with the school she went to. Her parents didn't know what to do. So during one summer Nao was sent off to live with her older brother in Tokyo. He was going to collage there and the parents knew that they were close. While in Tokyo Nao changed. Something about the city changed her.

When she came back she had a whole new look and attitude. One that her parents weren't even sure about. But the bullying stopped and the fighting started. All through middle school Nao fought her way through bullies. She had two years left when the school suggested some kind of character building after school activity to Nao. At first she could care less about the idea. But the counselor suggested Volleyball. Nao joined the team only to be surprised by how welcoming and friendly the other girls were. They had morals and were all about helping one another become better players and closer friends.

The team sucked though. Even if the team was close their skills were far from good. Nao was the only one that showed promise. And the team let her know that they felt bad for holding her back. Nao could care less about the skills of the other team members. She found that she could actually call them friends and that's what counted in her book.

After their last match in middle school the opposing team went out of their way to pick on her team. That was a big mistake for the opposing team. As they caught the girls in the girls locker room, Nao walked in to seeing her teammates being shoved around and picked on. Tokyo Nao took over... And single handed beat the crap out of the opposing team. This would have ended better seeing as she stood up for her friends... The first friends she ever had... But it ended in a very bad picture.

Because of the fight Nao had a hard time getting into a high school of her choice. She applied all over the place, finally..... She got accepted! Even if she didn't get to start with the rest of the first years, Nao still got in and rushed to sign up for the Volleyball team as a forward attacker. The core and heart of the team...

Position: Forward Attacker

Skills: Able to read the court and other players. She is a strong attacker and can read her setters quickly. She is quick on her feet and can read when players are being targeted.

Unique Skill: For some reason Nao has an insane skill for martial arts. She got this skill during the summer in Tokyo with her brother. Ever since then she takes after school classes in all kinds of fighting styles. She makes sure that she can take the classes after Volleyball practice and after her school work.
