Tripping Time
The ocean is a vast expansion of space that stretches out to the horizon and kisses the sky like a sloppy wet kiss, but what is the difference between water and air than the chemicals that make up the two great forces? Water sinks by its own weight and air is, well air. It is weightless, everywhere, and importantly, it is in the water as water is in the air.
You float in the middle of the ocean, thinking about the mundane things as you are stuck between the two voids: one you know you can never enter but clear as the stars allow it and the other greets you with open arms but what lurks beneath its depth is unknown. There is something in that inking darkness; everyone knows there is something. You are a speck, just there, in the grander space and for some reason that is a terrifying thought.
You open your eyes, and the inking darkness of the Furthest Ring greets you. It is similar to the ocean. It is vast and dark and everyone knows it has something - the creatures, in the void. However, unlike the ocean you were once afraid of on Alternia, the sense of fear and terror have no hold of you in the Furthest Ring. You do not know why, but it just does. There is no sky to look up to and no land to rest your feet. You are left on your own to float endlessly without an end in sight. Your sense of time and space has no meaning and you’re not sure if you are awake or asleep half of the time. It is easier to stopped dwelling in meanings of things. You have spent too long in the Furthest Ring.
Dream Bubbles visits are far in between and your only infinite company is your memories. They drive you crazy: the joy of eating and being uncomfortably bloated and the pleasure of touching another and watching their face contort as they fight for air. Then there is the feeling of being warm in the icy water and being cool under an out-stretched tree over his pound as the radiating moon rays beat down on the planet. You miss the simple things, but every time you indulge in your memories, you remember that you have nothing but the void and the starving ping all over your body. That makes you frustrated with no outlet to let out on.
Something rings loudly startling you out from your mindless daze. Your head turns wondering what the racket is about but you realize that the sound is coming out from your sylladex. It’s been awhile since you used your sylladex. The thing has been gathering metaphorical dust for how long with loads of cannons and hook shots that are pretty useless in the void. You can punch them to get rid of your frustration, but they are tough as shit and you don’t really want to get rid of them. They were expensive as hell.

You are blaming the fact that it has been forever since you have chatted with anyone that you have clammy hands. You managed to stay cool in front Nervani, but you could not stop the rush of blood beating too fast in your chest. You feel like you just woke up and you look around the Furthest Ring. If you are able to talk to Nervani, does that mean you are close? Who knows, but it wouldn't be hard to miss a Medium. He once saw it before; he can do it again.
