- Setting up the "Gambit" in Pinching for Paupers.
Character Name: Remy LeBeau
Code Name: Gambit
Aliases: Robert Lord, The Cajun, too many others to count
Age: Late 20s / Early 30s
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 175-185lbs
Build: Slender, toned; broad shoulders, well-defined muscles but not overly bulky
Hair: Auburn, shoulder length
Eyes: Black & Red
Powers: As in the comics, Gambit has the ability to create and manipulate Kinetic Energy; he can "charge" items which then blow up. He is skilled in hand to hand combat, including the use of a staff. He utilizes a mix of gymnastic/martial arts style when fighting. He is a skilled card thrower (weapon of choice), but can also throw other items like throwing stars, knives, and random items. He also has a super-human charm that makes him pretty irresistible. He's mostly immune to psychic control/manipulation.
Other Skills: Amazing card shark; poker and black jack are his favorite games. He's pretty much banned from Vegas (oops). He's a skilled thief with fantastic covert ops skills, including but not limited to: understanding security systems, picking locks, casing locations, art appraisal, and he's got connections in the black market to help fence stolen goods.
Canon Setting: This Gambit is about 8-10 months out from The Trial of Gambit. He's endured being dumped in Antarctica, had his heart broken by Rogue, clawed his way back to civilization, and had a run in with Storm in Paris.
AU Twist: Instead of going back with the X-Men, he pretty much told 'em to stuff it. He is a freelancer at the moment, taking odd jobs here and there (some less legal than others). He's become a good guy at heart, but he won't let anyone convince him of that. Currently, he's in New Orleans on a job. He's not at "open warfare" with X-Men, but he's not super lovey with 'em either. It's a work in progress. He's also currently not too keen on running into the bad guys!

Tall standing about 5'10. Somewhat blessed in the curves department. Somewhat tan skin naturally. Long dark yet warm brown hair cut into layers cut into a point in the middle of her back. Bright light green eyes almost the color of sage or peridot.
Jewish by blood but was raised church of England but lost her faith.
Was born in Manchester England but mostly lived in Los Angeles until college than Arizona for a year of college before moving to LSU. Thinks she looks better in purple and gold anyway.
She is a telepath like her father. But unlike him she has to look someone in the eye to influence them. Though she finds it much easier if she touches them.
Works as a journalist for a YouTube news channel. Has a degree in journalism and is working on her masters in history
Almost always drinking something caffeinated. Loves coffee and engery drink the mosts.
When she is stressed and can feel herself starting to lose control of her powers she plays video games. It something that refocuses her mind and relaxes her. Zelda is her favorite.
Her brother David has schizophrenia and autism(in comics Xavier's son is all kinds of crazy) and often has the mind of a 12 or 13 year old. That makes Theo super protective of him.
She didn't meet her father until she was 16 and after that a private custody battle ensued which ended with Theo not being allowed to go to the mansion. Than when she turned 18 her father more or less preferred that she had her own life so she stayed away. She spoke to her father daily and he would go to see her twice a month.
She has to have noise to sleep. Her favorite thing to fall asleep too is either Family Guy or finding Nemo.
She can be abit of a princess but really tried to not be. Likes her things the way she puts them and can get upset when they are moved. Too smart for her own good and tries to be a step ahead.
Wrinkles her noise when she doesn't like something and wiggles or clenches her jaw when angry or stressed which causes her to have to wear a retainer from time to time.
Hates crying in front of people. Her mother beat it into her that she had to try and be perfect and crying was a sign of weakness.
Has a condition called TMJ which means that instead of grinding her teeth she clenches her jaw and it has caused damage to her jaw joint. Wheres a retainer like device called a bit. Tries to hide that she wears it. It causes her to have a lisp if she doesn't watch herself it comes out.
Won't look at someone if she is nervous.
Scared of spiders, riding on trains and terrified of Farris wheels.
She washes clothes and bedding in lavender and vanilla scented laundry detergent.
Loves the smell of lavender and roses finds it relaxing.
