The neck had finally been in sight when something violently yanked Maravetia off of the skeleton, ripping off a chunk of rib that cracked on both ends as she tried to hold on. Soon she was flung onto the ship and looked up in time to see Zao fill the creature like a porcupine. She stared in awe. What kind of power did the headmaster have to allow him to incapacitate a leviathan as easily as he did, much less an undead one. She was under the impression undead creatures would be harder to kill, especially when her first leviathan kill had been due to her emaciating it until it had a gaping gore hole in its body. Zao made it seem like he was merely holding down a freshly caught fish. Marie didn't really care as she just stared blankly at where the leviathan was, holding the chunk of its rib that she had been yanked off of. Rather, it wasn't until Shugon spoke and immediately dived, into the water. When he emerged, she immediately stared with wide eyes.

A massive battle scarred turtle had emerged, and she nearly dropped to her knees. No, not because of her PTSD or bad track record with giant ocean animals, but because it was a giant turtle. Sea monsters and leviathans tended to be creatures of the deep, beings who naturally do not breathe air or go to the sun. Anything not such was generally seen as protective, as those creatures never really attacked people unless provoked.

Truly, the beast was beautiful. The battle scars that resembled that of squid hooks or bite marks of various other creatures could be seen. Its face no worse for wear. A creature that had probably done her job thousands of times over. As she prepared to board the creature, she hesitated. With an extended hand she rubbed its shell slightly, as though she were trying to commune with the beast, see its battles. She didn't feel worthy to ride it. Shugon's summoning of the creature and orders were clear though. Hop on the turtle. With a small leap, she was on its back and made her way to Shugon.

"How did you tame such a creature? I would imagine it would mistake you for food rather than a friend, and much less an equal."

"Take My books without due process and you'll find your limbs torn asunder, used as dog toys, and your head on a spike for the next decade!" Screamed the "god" in a rediculously angry tone. Her voice eminated from behind a book shelf. Almost immediately an odd hissing sound was heard. "Also how in the name of Asteroth did you know about the damn rope?!"

A flying object vaulted from behind the shelf almost immediately and the God Librarian was seen hovering out of the rope's reach. It hissed angrily and slithered back into whatever highway of bullshit crevices it used to get around. Azariel floated over to the desk, where she seemed relatively safe when the rope felt like harassing her. She'd need some labor soon if that was the case. She enjoyed tending the library, every book here had been read and meticulously sorted. Books that the previous librarian didn't know existed were dug up or added to the collection. She was, after all, a collector and curator. That was her primary function, and it would always be her calling.

"Now what is it you want? If you want something from the restricted section," as she said that she paused and extended her arm. Gripping the very fabric of reality itself and pulling it down to reveal a bright swirling vortex which had been opened with yet another unique generic sound effect for no apparent reason. "Go right on in, the gate will be open for precisely thirty minutes. After that, you're on your own. That aside, if you do get stuck, try to see if you can get anyone to owe you a favor on your...whatever number of journeys it's been now to get back. Send them here if you do, the rope's being far more of a nuissance than I imagined. How someone can imbue a rope with sentience is beyond me, but sadly I can't disect it and I would rather burn it by now."

Obeying the orders of Lan(1), the staff loosened the restraints of the student piece by piece. It didn't take long until she realized that she was being set free that she violently shook the remaining shackles on her own. Fortunately, before an unfortunate disaster could have surfaced, the staff had done the proper pre-emptive measures.

As the student's blindfold and earplugs were removed, the staff spoke to each of her ears, whilst forcing her gaze onto the only present authority - Shugon.

Follow him. He is your master.
Obey him. His word is law.
That man is in command. Give him respect.
His authority is absolute. Disobedience will not be tolerated.

More and more variations were spoken to her ears until her last restraint fell to the floor, setting her free. She stood there silently, gaze fixated at the professor. The words she had heard cycled over and over, an endless spiral that reminded her of what she must do, what she will do. Like a hypnotic procedure, each word, each statement impaled her very core - she now had one unshakable pillar of pseudo-sanity.

"F...foll...ow.", she uttered under her breath. "Ob...obey."

"Professor Shugon, please keep an eye on her! If she goes wild just render her unconscious!", the staff yelled out to the professor as they ran to take shelter within the ship's quarters, after witnessing the success of their previous actions.

When Shugon jumped onto the waters and rode the giant turtle, the student followed suit without hesitation. Though her rough landing didn't show grace nor stability, she managed to arrive unscathed. With a firm grasp, she held onto one of the many spikes of the beast's shell, gaze still intensely fixed onto the professor.

Fáidh Ceangailte Aigéan
Fáidh was disappointed when Zao completely blanked her on both questions she had asked but in all honestly, she was somewhat expecting such a reaction. Why would Zao openly answer a question relating to a top-secret spell and why after all that would he offer words of advice in terms of enhancing one's power. Looking back Fáidh felt a fool for asking such questions and such a thought was only solidified when the new student spoke on the matter. Sighing softly Fáidh turned her gaze to depths where Zao had defeated the undead, would she ever be able to fight on that scale? If she ever was to reach such a level she'd have to train a lot harder.

When Shugon's eyes burst into flames Fáidh paid the sight no mind, she was well aware of the abyssal creature's powers, she had been briefed on them before enrollment. The sight was disgusting but expected none the less. When the giant sea turtle appeared from the depths Fáidh waited until she was last left aboard the ship to then board the turtle, wrapping her chains around the back spike for better balance. Fáidh was not happy about learning from a disgusting creature such as Shugon but unfortunately, she had no choice but to do so if she was to succeed in the navy. Fáidh remained standing with her chains tensed for balance, she was running low on finross and the damage she had suffered from before left her in a weakened state. She'd have to play it low for the remainder of the day.

As the Cthuloid professor began to construct the details of the introductory lesson to the students in his mind, the stowaway appeared next to him via arcane means. He offered Shugon eye-drops and sage advice for his chelonian (turtle) companion. "Hehehe. . ." This little act prompted a snicker from Shugon as he turned his head to answer the student's question. "All is forgiven, and don't worry about the old boy here—" He said with eyes ablaze, pointing down with his free hand. "This ol' champ still has around three-hundred to four-hundred years left, plus we play poker from time to time." A tinge of nostalgia from Shugon's earlier days crept up on him, ah the joys of being younger.

The next to board this aquatic vessel was the were-rabbit who made no effort at all to hide her displeasure at the current situation. Shugon could see that she was mouthing words, perhaps words of resentment? Poor thing, once you get your gills, the ocean isn't the worst place in the world! Maybe he could do something nice for her once, they get back to the academy although more research on her portfolio wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, just to avoid any awkward acts.

Next was William the young pirate captain. Shugon was not sure but he thought he heard the young man whistling. Likely that he was impressed by the turtle, although Shugon thought that he would not even flinch at this sight.

Maravetia clearly enamoured by the sight of the turtle, approached Shugon with no hesitation and began asking questions. She did make the mistake of asking Shugon how he tamed it. The large turtle opened its' bone beaked mouth then snapped at the water in front of it, displacing the water and shifting its' stable position causing a small shake that could make someone lose their balance if they weren't paying attention. "Aha, I'd refrain from calling Trask tamed." He advised Maravetia carefully. "With less-intelligent marine life, I could easily domineer their will via my grace hence the flaming eyes." A quick nod to his eyes with a face tendril. "But when it comes to smarty-pants over here, it's bothersome to subvert their will so I simply ask them for help. Another benefit when I establish a mental link with them is the vast-improvement of their physicality. An old fish would feel like they are in their prime times two." Briefly, he glanced back to Trask. "I met Trask after I settled a dispute between two Orcinus pods. And yes, you are correct — he did try to eat me but a quick wack on his head and exchanged words, we're on good terms. Sometimes we played poker with some of my sea buddies."

One of the present staff aboard Zao's ship had informed him about another student who seemed... strangely fixated on him with her gaze. He'd heard of her, supposedly from an extinct bloodline but nothing concrete. If she did pose a danger, the instructions were to incapacitate her. Hopefully, it will be easy but as Zao said the sea has no fucks to give.

Paladin Fáidh was the next to join, she seemed sluggish to Shugon's eyes.

"So class, by my estimate, we are 15-20 minutes away from the academy but we won't be going there immediately since it would be a pretty short first lesson." Shugon spoke loudly, easily beating out the sound of the waves colliding. A quick tap from his shoes on Trask's shell made the ginormous turtle start swimming albeit slowly as to not shake off his passengers.

"I'll start with the introductory segment to marine biology then at the end, a treat since this is your first but not last lesson with me. How does that sound?" He eagerly awaited their answer although with what Zao put them through, they'll likely be sceptical of this treat.

Bartholomew H. Midas
Zao's Ship | "Time to socialize."

"Sir I literally don't know anything the sea besides whatever delicacies come from it, you're in charge." Bart would respond to Shugon in a blunt manner, the boy understood that the teacher was just trying to go for some student to teacher connections there but he wasn't being paid to be golden student. So without further ado the young man would send the eye drops back into the hell realm and walk back to join the other students.

Summoning his trusty gold plated foldable chair and thermos Bart would try to pour himself some hot choco, but unfortunately he would spill some on his hand as the beast below the rustled at the notion of it being tamed. Taking in a deep sigh to calm his nerves at the wrong done to him he would resort to licking the spilled chocolate liquid off his hand, because it's bad to be an anathema but it's worse to waste perfectly preserved hot chocolate.

Luckily the soothing taste of the concoction would immediately ground him, to allow him to hear the displeased grumbles of the were-rabbit who brought the entire vibe down to be entirely honest. So he would address her.

"Were-rabbit right? You and your folk only got discovered recently right? It was all over the news, your appearance really revitalized the empire stock market, all the morally defunct corporations, so all of them, were infusing the market with funds to see who'd get first dibs on this new race of slaves." Bart didn't seem particularly bothered by the nature of his words as he took another sip from his hot cocoa.

"Welcome to the empire, I recommend using all of those negatives feelings and channelling them towards becoming stronger and wrecking havoc on those who wronged you, which is everyone if you really think about it. It's what I'd do, Bart by the way, nice to be made your acquaintance." He'd then show the contents of his thermos. "You want a cup?"

Eberron
arcane-gunslinger.jpg

Once the professor had stepped off the edge of the ship, Eberron took hold of the 3ft tall golem and activated his patron's gift, ceasing to exist to the other students and staff as they faded from their perceptions. With nary a grunt of effort, the Artificer hefted the metallic being over his shoulders and looked over the edge of the ship. the sight that greeted him filled the man with awe. The massive turtle looked to have been a venerable age judging by it's size and the ammount of scars on it's armoured shell. Following after the the others, he stepped off the ship and landed silently thanks to the power of his grace.

Taking care to avoid bumping into the others, he took up a spot near one of it's intimidating spikes nearest to the cthuloid before setting Sweetie down and dismissing the shroud revealing the two to the class and professor. "Your friend here is quite impressive sir. I would have guessed him to be much older than you claimed." He said to the abyssal, as he once more began to sketch and take notes.

William did not respond to the Teacher's comments on some sort of fun activity after the lessons. He gave a small 'Hm' in response to the comments of introductory marine life lessons. Kidd had no formal knowledge on the subject, but certainly had seen his fair share of creatures. He could tell you which jellies could incapacitate and which could kill, at least. When Faidh finally boarded and the turtle was officially off, he got back up and meandered past Marie and Luna to be near her.

"I appreciate you not letting me fall into the drink." He said, taking up new residence on a spike one row to the left of the Paladin. "I owe you three, just about, wouldn't you say?" He asked, not looking at her directly as he spoke. He pulled out a small wooden pocket knife about the size of his thumb and began cleaning beneath his fingernails. "Does this mean we're friends now, or was that just Paladin business?" He asked in a cheeky way, actually looking up at her across his brow for a moment before looking back down at his activity.

Faust Windfallow
Stormcrest Library | "Living bondage rope... I won't even ask."

The 'god's' threats did little to instil any sense of fear within the lich, and neither did the mention of his second-greatest nemesis; dogs. "Oh please, try me, you scantily-dressed glorified pigeon, I'll fuck you up and force you to wear an itchy sweater for ten-years straight," he retorted, the orbs of spectral flame in his sockets making a circular motion imitating an eye-roll. At the mention of how Faust was able to attain knowledge of the sentient, findross-sucking rope, he tilted his head to the side in mild confusion. "What-?" He had enough time to utter a single word when the living bundle of fibres leapt out from behind one of the shelves, with hostile intent toward the librarian.

"The fuck?" Faust mumbled, stepping to the side as he raised his arms. Cackling could be heard as rime-frost began to gather in his palms. "Freeze over!" he exclaimed, throwing his arm in an outward, sweeping motion, blasting a cone of everfrost outward, only moments too late - the rope had already realised the futility of its little offensive and had dived off back into its mysterious network of crevices, leaving behind a stupid-looking lich and a shelf full of books frozen solid. "Ok, I don't really know what in fuck I was doing there," Faust mumbled, facepalming to himself before looking toward Azariel, and pointing toward the general direction that the rope had slithered off to. "Ok, would you kindly explain who what when where how and why in the name of God you have a magic, living bondage rope?" He demanded. "Ok, actually, don't answer that, I don't want to know," he hastily added.

He would then proceed to open his jaw to explain the intent of his visit, until the librarian had hastily jumped to the conclusion that he was after the 'restricted section'. Faust watched quietly as she tore a rift in space right in front of him. "I just wanted a cookbook," Faust grumbled, but stepped toward the portal nonetheless. "Fuck it, since you already opened it, may as well see what bullshit I'll dig up this time. Have this for your troubles, I guess." Reaching into whatever bullshit dimensional storage he used to stow away his hoard of illegal garbage, Faust produced a suspicious 'tome' that Azariel would recognize as one of his mysterious (and pornographic) 'Forbidden Scriptures'. "Volume three, have fun with it," he explained, offering the tome to the 'god'.

MENTION(S):

Minma breath was slowed down to a pace not normal for any man. A keen dog wouldn't be able to hear it if Minma was standing two inches away from his ear. His mind only had one thing filling his thoughts. He was going to see that the assassination of William Kidd was a success and it would be done by his own hands.
Kidd was wanted dead for conspiracy of mass fraud, ordered by a pirate captain known across the endlessly sea by the name of Vinsmoke Teech. Vinsmoke briefed Minma on Kidds abilities and how his grace worked. Which for Minma, was more information than needed to take out a man.
With his breath settled, he crouched down and rested his back on the surprisingly smooth wood of the ship. His eyes glanced back and forth, surveying the area keenly. His ears perked up and processed every little sound it heard. His sharp nose caught different senses and his mind analyzed them to give him a clear picture of what he was smelling. The moment was soon to unfold.
Knowing how his grace works I conclude a execution via the snapping of his neck would be the simplest. If that fails then as long as I maintain physical contact with him I can force my plan to be done with a blade. Minma thought to himself while as before, still keenly observing the area.
A few minutes pass.
With a slight sigh he pulled out his dagger and held it out infront of him.
Using his dagger, Minma studied the reflection of the blade, which was reflecting the entrance room of the ship. He noticed it had not a soul present, nor did it show signs that someone would return anytime soon. "I'll move swiftly, through the main entrance, past the second hallway, on the left side, there should be stairs leading to a library. I should find Kidd there, if not I'll wait for him to come. But eventually I know he will." Minma thought to himself before slowly inching himself up the wall.
As Minma stood up tall he reached his arm out while holding his dagger to receive one more safety look before entering. After sliding his dagger inside a holder built into his vest he turned his heel and began to head inside. As he entered he was meet with luxury. Paintings only found in museums, statues you would think belonged in a kings palace. But Minma paid any of it a notice, as he was busy making his way towards his destination.
As he continued to walk no noise was made with his footsteps. It was as though he was as light a feather, swaying in the air without any sound to it. Although Minma made sure to silence his footsteps he couldn't help the inedible and although his footsteps were quite it couldn't help the small creaks that traveled throughout the wood of the floor. He had now managed to surpass the second hallway undetected and he swiftly moved his body to the left, entering a open space area. Some seats with red velvet fabric and gold colored buttons were seated in an almost rectangular fashion. A small white and gold chandelier hanged in the center of the roof, being lit by a burning candle. On the left wall of this open area was a staircase, with support rails following the whole way up.
After checking over his shoulder Minma began to ascend the staircase, as his cape like vest danced behind him. He was now approaching the top, only having one step left. He stopped and listened closely for any signs of activity, and now one sound was heard, that is not on this part of the ship. After taking a peek around each corner he took the last step of the stairs and began to walk to the right.
Minma wasn't sure exactly where the library was on the second floor but as he was thinking of his best route to find it he was meet with a glass window. And to his surprise what lurked behind it was just what he was looking for. He quickly pulled back not making himself visible from the inside of the glass window. Using his dagger he gathered that the cost was clear for entry. And so he entered with his eyes looking left in right for any activity, and especially for Kidd.
Tall bookshelf filled the room. And books filled the bookshelves. Thin books, hard books, books with a hardback, and books that looked to be ancient. Tables were set amongst the room, papers laid upon them as did pens and journals. "I suppose this is the library" Minma said to himself.
As Minma anticipated Kidd wasn't around for the time being so he made the decision to find a place to seek cover until further notice. He placed himself in the far back right corner of the room behind a bookshelf that keep him covered. Although this bookshelf was in the back Minma thought removing a book from the shelf would give him a view of the entrance and so he removed a thin boom titled "The Cost of Living", and placed it on the ground below him, right beside his right foot. So now Minma stood there, his breath silent, his eyes focused on the entrance, and his thoughts focused on the plan at hand. "And now we play the waiting game." He whispered under his breath.
