    High Concept: Mysterious former mercenary who seems to wash up with sea monsters on regular occasions.

    Backstory:

    Two years ago, two mercenary ships vanished looking for pirates around the edge of the Abyssal Sea, a section of sea known to contain a number of grim legends and facts. Sea monsters, leviathans, ghost ships, and even a tale about the god Avngrund living in the area. Recently, a sign was found fifty nautical miles southwest. The Seadogs Mercenary Maravetia was found on a deserted island in a thatch and wood hut she made for herself with the bones of a juvenile serpentine leviathan approximately 65+ meters long washed ashore with her.

    The mercenary Maravetia, or Maria/Marie as those closer to her knew her as, was found at the age of eleven while the Seadogs were escorting a merchant ship around sea monster territory outside the Abyssal Sea. She was found adrift with a mangled sea monster corpse and a jagged knife with a bite wound infected to the point of necrosis starting to take place.

    Anthony Kirsch, commander of the mercenaries, took her in and had her nursed back to health. To everyone's shock she not only survived, but made a complete physical recovery. In fact, she almost never got sick, sunburned, or even malnourished like many other sailors. She ate far more than most sailors, but she never really had health issues.

    During her time as a mercenary, Maria had learned to use a great sword with surprising ferocity and skill. She also has a massive sea monster kill count well above a hundred. Yet, according to all stories and accounts she didn't have a grace. That was because her grace was earned after killing a leviathan. It's suspected the god who gifted her the grace was the leviathan's parent, Avngrund.

    Backstory: In the abyssal depths of the sea, there resides a city with cephalopodic denizens. In the pitch blackness, they lived their ordinary lives. Farming, mining, trading, and other such tasks of mortal endeavors. They were happy people, free of any burdens of the surface or the shallow dwellers. That is when they drew the ire of the shallow dwellers, who were jealous of their riches and their festive way of life. Most of the cephalopodic citizenry had never raised a fist, let alone an actual weapon. Only a small cabal of them were experienced combatants, it was up to these brave men and women to defend their undersea city. But how? They were outnumbered 10-1, it would take nothing short of supreme skill or a God-given miracle to overcome these odds. At least, that is what most of them thought. Shugon, who at the time was considered a young adult, protested their cowardice and meek attitudes, the others called him naÏve, he called them traitors and both parties set out to their own bidding. The elders of the clique would begin preparations for evacuation while Shugon would prepare for the coming battle.

    The attack had begun.

    And Shugon was ready.

    The battle lasted days, with Shugon executing devilish and mind-bending guerilla warfare against an overwhelming force. They kept growing more and more frustrated with the squid heads, they couldn't fathom that such a pathetic enemy would be giving them this much trouble. Their frustration did not give them any advantages either. At first, they believed that the enemy was not one but many, after all, how could a single foe produce this much resistance? When it became abundantly that it was the work of a single squid head, their morale took a heavy blow. Humiliation and desperation stacked, most of them considered razing the city but that was out of the question when they discovered that they still held wealth and resources.

    So in a last desperate attempt, they had corned Shugon and were about finally remove the shark tooth in their side. Except that was when Shugon's coup de grâce was triggered. A myriad of explosives triggered around the enemy and Shugon, this was to be his final act in his herculean task of repelling the enemy.

    Shugon's fate would've been sealed then and there, he would've died from blood loss soon yet fortune had fallen upon Shugon. His old "friends" whom he called cowardly and weak, returned to aid him in his time of need. Shugon heavily wounded, was carried by his allies back to a safer location, and was nursed back to full health in two years. For his bravery and bodily sacrifice, Shugon had reached his first Grace.

    Many, many years later, the now wisened and elder Shugon had acted as an intermediary that halted the war between ancient enemies. The task was asinine for Shugon despite his wisdom and age, it was like talking to a bunch of children in oversized bodies, with their squabbling and their hot water blowing. But it needed to be done and our faithful Cthulhoid did the deed, he quelled their anger and silenced their fury and for that, he was given another Grace, not as powerful as his first one but useful and versatile none the less.

High Concept: A cold, were-rabbit hunter attending the naval academy after their tribe was contacted as a means of testing their capabilities in a cheaper fashion by a smaller nation through commendations, seeking to make use of them as slaves
Backstory: Luna was born into the tribal lifestyle inside of a small secluded community developed by a lesser rabbit god named Chester, each member "gifted" with a strange branch of lycanthropy as a sort of pet project of the god.

Growing up in the forest, all members of the tribe we taught how to perform a variety of tasks, prominently including tailoring, general crafting, and hunting, with a common rite of passage being adorning oneself with a unique trinket, anything from jewelry to weapons, made from the parts of their first kill, with Luna's chosen trinket being her staff.

The initial discovery of their people had not gone well, and as such they had a harsh time convincing any of the members to leave, resulting in them taking one of the younger members, namely Eleonora herself, and shipping them off, quite literally in a cage, to the university with hardly a goodbye, simply explaining that if she wanted to return she would need to pass whatever tests were thrown at her.

Also grants a greater sense of hearing outside of the form, but it is rather tell-tale that they're cursed by the large ears to those aware of it. The user still maintains control but might have a hard time communicating that to others.

Weaknesses: Primitive mind-set, leading to unreasonable decision-making. Used to a more traditional lifestyle outdoors, and thus might find indoor life difficult. May transform when they do not wish to if the conditions are met. Has trouble concentrating on non-survival related things.     High Concept: Batshit crazy god who serves the God of Knowledge Asteroth who is currently trying to get the Stormcrest Academy's Headmaster's Secrets.

    Backstory:
    The mysterious enigma that is Azariel has been documented for longer than the empire can track. In fact, records of her or her likeliness can be traced back as far as civilization itself. The only thing one can say for sure about the enigma of Azariel is that she's an odd being among gods. She claims to have been 'created' by Asteroth and cares only about amassing more knowledge.

    Also unlike most gods, she has never once created a Grace nor has she ever blessed mortals. She has a single minded goal throughout all centuries and that is to add to Asteroth's collection. Actually, the only information Asteroth has ever given of Azariel is that she has the gift of 'imperfection' which seems crazy. Yet if one looks at her deeds, they will find out why. If one really tried and looked at all the millenia of her stories, legends, and accomplishments they would find that she grows. This 'imperfection' means that Azariel can't reach a peak, she can't ever perfect a skill. For if perfection is the peak, what would a being without perfection look like?

    In recent years with the rumors regarding primordials and Anathema, sightings of Azariel became more and more frequent. She wandered around these rumors and collected information. Perhaps its because of these rumors she became Librarian of Stormcrest for Zao. Who would blame him? A god of knowledge with complete access to the vast pool of knowledge that is Asteroth's Celestial Library. Sure, the god is constantly trying to breach Zao's mind and office for his secrets, but that's a small price to pay, no?

Backstory:
An orphan of the church, Fáidh was brought up strictly and had the ways of the church beaten into her from a young age. As an orphan Fáidh was subject to aid in the churches efforts from the time she could walk and talk. Aiding the church ranged from aiding the sick to aiding in ceremonies as an altar server. As a young orphan Fáidh wasn't expected to become much of anything, a nun at the least and a marriage offer at the most. But as faith would have it Fáidh showed a natural gift for the holy arts, and her aura slowly became something warm and unmistakably pure. By the age of ten Fáidh had learned the holy art of 'Close Wounds' and 'Bless', picking both arts up by nearly observing the head priest carry out his services over the years. It was remarkable. This child, she was special, chosen perhaps.

Word was sent of these events to the governing bishop and he promptly made a visit to the orphanage where he quizzed Fáidh intensely on the scriptures and teachings of the collective church. Fáidh passed. The bishop was amazed, even some priests wouldn't have been able to pass such a test and so documents changed hands and Fáidh was transferred to the capital's cathedral where she officially began her training to become a priestess. This made Fáidh one of the rare cases where a child of no noble name would undergo training with the church, a story that quickly spread through the capital city and beyond to the subsequent parishes.

Fáidh continued her training for two years and was sworn in as a priestess by the bishop. However, her training did not stop there. Following her promotion, Fáidh asked to be trained as a paladin. This was an absurd request. Only nobles of great renown and with families tied to the church could enter training to become a paladin. There were no exceptions to this rule, it was absolute and Fáidh had to of known that. Fáidh was scolded for her rudeness and put into service immediately. For a year and a half Fáidh carried out her duties as a priestess with the utmost care and efficiency. Her skills in the arts improved greatly and her aura became more and more eminent. Eventually, the bishop felt it was his duty to aid Fáidh in joining the paladin core, Fáidh was undoubtedly special and if she felt her place was in the paladin core then perhaps it was a divine intervention of some kind.

Fáidh was adopted by the bishop and took his name, with it she was granted permission to undertake Paladin training and that she did. At 18 Fáidh was promoted and sworn into her role as Paladin by the pope and emperor themselves. Her skills had vastly improved and her polearm skills were a grade above the rest. Soon after she was deployed.

Fáidh was deployed on the eastern front alongside 49 other paladins, their aim was simple; annihilate the demon spawns in the area and purify the grounds thereafter. At first, everything was going well, imps were widespread in the area but they were of little threat to the paladins who easily cleaved through their numbers. However, things took a turn for the worst as night fell and more powerful demons emerged from the pits. Glabrezu, in particular, began to really push back the core who weren't expecting such strong demons to be nesting here. Several fell on the first night, 17 to be exact but this only got worse on the second day as even more imps and Glabrezu emerged. By the second night, a large storm had rolled in and the core was all but wiped out save for Fáidh and two others.

As if to spite the three remaining paladins the alpha of the nest emerged, a Balor with his whip in hand. Lightning cracked and thunder boomed as the beast approached the three. Fáidh who was currently suffering from bloodloss fell to her knees in prayer. With every step the great beast took the lightning in the area struck more frequently and the thunder that followed roared unchained. It was when the beast was nearly before her that Fáidh took a firm grip of her spear and rose to her feet. Lighting struck Fáidh in that moment and her mind was made clear. The young paladin was not harmed by the strike but instead enlightened, everything became so clear. Raising her spear Fáidh braced for a dash and in the very next second, she pierced through the Balor with incredible speed, felling the beast in one swift move. Lightning erupted from the beast's corpse and arched to those close by killing them too. Fáidh continued on dashing at her foes until eventually her body gave out and she collapsed.

The young paladin awoke in the cathedral hospital a week later and was informed backup had arrived not a moment after she had passed out and that her actions had delayed the demons long enough to save her two remaining comrades. She was hailed a hero and it would seem the god of storms had deemed it so too as she was grated her very first grace.

Following these events, Fáidh was deployed to many an area and exercised many a demon. But somehow it never really seemed like she was doing what was expected of her. It was then she approached the pope about joining the navy. It took some convincing but now Fáidh shall be the first Paladin to be affiliated with the navy. That is should she pass.

: A blessed spear and matching blessed chains. A Paladin uniform with adjustments made to differentiate her from the standard land fairing Paladin core, this includes the school insignia being promptly displayed on the upper back of the uniform as well as waterproofing. Note: when not in use her chains wrap tightly around her waist like a belt.

Bless (Breif buff to others, releases trapped spirits and allows them to return to the heavens)
Holy Seal (Allows the user to seal evil spirits in containers or vessels)
Close Wounds (a healing spell that simply closes wounds, this does not heal internal damage or restore blood loss.)
Holy Light (a simply lighting spell)
Purify (purifies water and food of poisons and disease and also purifies evil spirits that have been weakened)
Dispel Evil (dispels curses once fully identified provided its possible)

Grace: Lightning Step. Through the grace of the storm god the user channels lightning through their body and becoming electrically charged. Following this, the user may strike a target with pinpoint precision at the speed of lightning itself. Discharging the built-up electricity into said target through whatever weapon the user used to land the blow, fists included. In essence, the user becomes a bolt of lightning themselves. This Grace can also be used to 'dash' to a location provided the electric charge can be discharged by striking something at the point of arrival.

Weaknesses: Extremely proficient in polearm weapons as well as chain but useless with other forms of weaponry, Must adhere to the Paladin code, Frigid, Cannot turn a blind eye to children in need. Is physically weak when stripped of her spells and weapons.

Hobbies: Fáidh is a woman of the church, in her free time she enjoys aiding those less fortunate than her or praying. On the odd occasion, you can find her gardening but that is seldom and rare.

Backstory: Soloman was not always named Soloman. This is his "rebirth" name. While the man's past remains mostly unknown due to his propensity to leave his dead past dead as he's been "reborn" Solomon will offer up some of the details of his past:

He was born into a poor family, with his dad being addicted to a "miracle cure-all" and thus he kept them in poverty.........

...........That left him and his mother, who spent more and more time away from the house, having to sell herself to make some kind of ends meet. After another year and facing eviction, his mother sold Solo to some people for a massive amount of money. However, not willing to just go with these people, Solo ran away.

........took him in and began training Solo in priesthood and combat. The priest, using his connection to the Royal Knights and many many others, molded Solo into a fierce combatant. At 18, he achieved knighthood, was baptized, and then was initiated officially into a circle of clergy

He stopped short of becoming a priest in that order........... Stopping short of greatness, he instead achieved it by training and protecting his fellow clergy on escort and missionary missions........as well as finding his true path as that of an Executioner instead of that of a priest or priest's attendant.

................He Coalesced and developed the amazing Grace, which he simply called Divine Hands.............. He no longer needed to perform some ritual. He could just give them a holy beating and send them from whence they came. From there, a little after, he was sent to academy as a student to learn not only how to master his Grace, but to learn more Charms and maybe a bit of Sorcery. Probably not, though

Spells & Magic:
  • Grace: Divine Hands- This Grace allows Solo's weapons and fists to hit ANYTHING, even creatures normally unaffected by physical attacks (like ghosts). The grace takes more Findross than most to use. While it drains findross slowly when activated, swinging his fists or weapons, or firing his bow costs more. As a result, mastering the timing in activating this grace will allow him to save Findross
  • Charm: Stillpiercer- This allows a sword stab or shot arrow to pierce shields or armors. A fist or mace hit can outright shatter armors and shields of weaker material. He has only 2 uses before the third will make him too weak to swing anything heavier than a dagger.

Weaknesses:
  • Findross inhalant- His Grace and Charm both take quite a bit of Findross to use, meaning he needs to use them strategically
  • Human- As with all humans, he has extremely human needs. Food, Sleep, Oxygen, and many many things can end a human easily.

High Concept: Eberron is one of those guys who is evil for the sake of being evil, and not just regular evil like burning down the orphanage and gunning down the children as they flee; but subtle evil, like cursing the throne of a tyrant king that turns makes him impudent, or putting small holes in the life boats.
Backstory: Eberron was the apprentice to a Tinkerer. Before that, he was abandoned as a child by his drunkard father. The man thinking the young boy would die on his own, would be in for a surprise later on. Abandoned on a small island off the coast near Stormcrest, the young boy wept and screamed for his abusive father to come back. For three days and three nights, the young boy begged and prayed to whomever was listening. It was on the third night when he received a response. From the mists, bathed in moonlight, a dark figure appeared, it's body shrouded in shadow and fog, glided over the surf. He had felt the boy's pain. His anger, and betrayal from his own kin. In a whisper, the dark form spoke, offering Eberron aid. But that wasn't all he offered. The shrouded being offered him power, secrets, and most of all, vengeance. But in return, he had to serve. Alone, cold, and hungry, the boy accepted wholeheartedly, and the being took his hand, branding him with a dark mark. Pain lanced through the child, and he passed out. When he awoke, he was warm, and was by a roaring hearth. A man was beside him and told young Eberron, he would be serving as his apprentice. For years the child studdied, worked and tinkered. Studying when he had time, and always imagining what he would do to his father when the time came to enact his vengeance, while the dark being would whisper secrets to him in his sleep.

    Archonallid Alloy: 25% mithril, 20% void iron, 15% Moonstone, 10% silver, 10% mercury, 8% aluminum, 5% manganese, 5% tungsten, 5% carbon, 2% ???? (Like white alloy, this material is lightweight and extremely resistant to corrosion. Unlike the previously mentioned alloy, Archonallid is void black in color, with veins of glowing blue that thrum with power. The alloy is also extremely strong and has a powerful nullifying effect on spells and charms, yet takes to enchantment like a Siren to sailors when inlaid with runes. Only Eberron knows the recipe and the last ingredient needed to create such an alloy.

Backstory: William was born in squalor, as many sailors are. At fourteen he joined a crew of privateers, and rarely saw the deck at first. He did the cleaning and the washing for six months straight before anyone put a rifle in his hands and told him to sit in the crows nest. He started as a sniper like most young men to get a feel for the battlefield, and after a particularly bloody skirmish when he saved the captain's life with an impressive shot across the decks of three Spanish galleons most of the crew actually learned his name. As he was ingratiated further they found the young spry lad had a talent for wrestling earning him the nickname: The Little Squid. Before long he was a gritty pirate at the age of fifteen who could make a grown man flinch at a fist despite his soft features. This irreplaceable talent on the battlefield coupled with his quick wit and talent for negotiation got him to raid party leader in almost no time at all.

One day, however, the original captain of the Adventure Galley was run through the back by a cowardly rival's cutlass. In a rage Kidd disarmed the man singlehandedly, wrestled him to the ground and choked him to death with his jacket collar. While this earned him the rank of captain as voted on by the crew, his Coalescence would come sometime later.

Many a tale has been passed around below the decks of quiet ships at night of their ghostly counterparts which roam the seas with only one objective; to add to their undead crew. On one such moonless and foggy night on the open sea, the crew of the Adventure Galley were swapping ghost stories themselves when the stuff of nightmares was suddenly passing their own ship. A crew of skeleton pirates as cold and silent as the grave itself. The flesh that still clung to their bones was green and it's smell wafted over the few yards of ocean between their black ship and the one of the living. These pictures of hell lazily began throwing their grappling hooks over to board, and no matter how many ropes the men cut a dozen more seemed to plant themselves. Then came the boarding bridges. Once the creatures made it over their many rusty and jagged cutlasses tore through the crew impossibly easily like hot knives through butter. Kidd could not watch as his brothers were slaughtered and of course jumped straight to the front of battle.

They say that that night, not a single undead soldier laid a finger on Kid, as if he were protected by some unseen force. He remained unmovable like a mountain, and slashed with the intent of a destroyer god. All who approached him were ground into dust in his wake. In the morning not all had survived, but those who did sang his praises far enough to reach the halls of the Naval Academy. Kidd had always admired the legendary headmaster Lung Feng Zao personally, and of course jumped at the chance of admission. His newfound grace from the god Aegis ensured his place on that path.

PHYSICAL
Appearance
: Kidd is boyish, and pretty. He could be mistaken for a woman on his facial features alone, however his muscle mass would quickly change any speculative opinions. It is true he is wiry in nature, but that has never stopped any combat athlete from cracking jaws or breaking arms in the past now has it? He is 6'2" and 175lbs, with chin length brown hair braided in a couple of places.
Weapons & Armor: While he used to prefer a standard pirate's cutlass and flintlock combo, he claims ever since earning his grace that these things get in his way. Now he only wears his blouse, vest, slacks, boots, and bandana, as well as two tempered steel bracers on his forearms extending to the back of his hands.
Items & Personal Belongings: Nothing of note, a true vagabond.
Skills & Abilities: Kidd is exceptionally strong for his thin frame. He is also a high class wrestler and submission grappler, learning on the decks of ships and learning how to wrestle strongmen at side shows through little coaching and a lot of trial and error, he specializes in overcoming bigger opponents. He is also quick witted and well read enough to hold conversations with nobles, as well as a top notch negotiator from his time as a captain and raid party leader.
Spells & Magic:
Grace

Aegis, A Shield to The Weak - A boon granted to William by the god Minerva when he disregarded his own life to save his brothers when their ship was assaulted by otherworldly enemies. The magical ability encompasses his whole body, but only extends it's effect about an inch and does not extend to allies. This effect robs all incoming physical objects that come in contact with William of their momentum, reducing punches to mere taps and stabs to paper cuts. This is not a total catch all, however. The grace does not block energy based attacks, magic or psychic spells, or even make him impervious to being cut or stabbed. Should someone lightly press a knife to his throat and pull it from ear to ear he could be cut open. It is only initially effected upon impact by Aegis, and then after the initial taking away of the force can the blade or point be used to puncture. It simply means that William would have a moment before he were punctured to prevent this, but if he could not stop the advance after this he would surely be run through.

Ex: Imagine a spear is thrust at William, and his ability stops it when it comes into contact with his skin. If he then grabs the spear attempting to move it away from himself, but the enemy he is facing is much stronger than the captain, he would be run through when the enemy continued to push AFTER coming into contact with William's body initially.

Charms

Weight of the world - Through use of this charm William can increase his mass by twice his actual weight. This way, even though he does not grow larger, he can weigh up to 350lbs. Useful for if you don't want to be moved, or if you need to throw a larger opponent. This move can also be used exponentially to stack the effect, but after three times will all but exhaust the user of findross and they will need a good lay-down

Vice Grip - This charm makes the grip of William nearly impossible to break for a mere human, this way if he grabs onto his opponent he is sure to not let go.

Hammer Throw - This charm allows the user one burst of cyclopean strength. The user could throw, push, or pull one object of incredible magnitude going up to 750lbs!

Weaknesses: Has absolutely no defense or knowledge of magic whatsoever, completely inept on the subject. Much too confident for his own good. Tries to think things through, but can often miss large details.

Backstory: Sweetie is the culmination of three years of hard work and study. Her core (Heart/mind) was crafted from an unknown gem harvested from a fallen star, and with the aid of the "Dark One" was imbued with a virgin soul. For three years her psyche was in a dreamless state, unaware of the world around her, as her master and creator fashioned a body to house her core. Upon the completion of her chassis, a little unicorn, Eberron had placed her inside, and the young golem opened her eyes to see a warm, fire lit workshop, and her father standing before her in a state of wonder and pride. Backstory: The Azai. A clan that held power and relevance in the world, with its members being known for their exceptional battle prowess. But that was ages ago, and the passage of time has left them in obscurity. In a desperate attempt to revive the clan's standing, the head has decided to subject all of its members to The Trial of The Nine Moons - a ritual that wipes out almost all of the clan's populace to produce exceptional warriors through a gruesome process.

But as soon as it was enacted, it all dawned onto the head that a terrible mistake had been made. Whether it was by his own, or the very whims of fate itself, Trial of The Nine Moons was set to twice its normal duration, and lasted for more than two years. During such time, those that were partaking in the ritual, both voluntarily and non-voluntarily, were locked in a chamber with nothing but themselves and lethal weaponry. There, they must fight to live. They must eat what can be eaten, drink what can be drunk.

The head had passed away without an heir by the time the chamber's doors were opened. And in that stench-filled darkness, only one figure stood - a young woman soaked in crimson fluid, the tattered clothes were not even enough to cover a quarter of her scarred and bruised body. The sole survivor of the Trial of The Nine Moons.

It took some force to take her out of the chamber, as the moment anyone took a step within the chamber's borders, she would immediately assault them like a rabid beast in a cage. Readjusting her to society was more troublesome than the former task, leaving the people who discovered the chamber with no choice but to send her someplace else.

With no specific place to belong, she was sent to Stormcrest - hoping that the academy lives up to its reputation and is able to tame the Hound of Azai.

Grace:
Armaments of Savage God-King - The ability to project any weapon existing within the current timeline whether it be from the past, present, or future. These weapons are considered to be lesser divine artifacts, allowing them to strike any target regardless of the target's nature. Alongside this ability, Ayaka gains knowledge of how to utilize the projected weapon at an adept level, which can eventually be raised to that of a master's, given time.

When these weapons are broken, they disappear and return to their time and place without any changes to their original form before they were projected.​

Charms:
Become The Weapon - An automatically activated charm that modifies the parameters of Ayaka's body to suit the weapon(s) she is currently wielding. (E.g. If the weapon is a greatsword too heavy for most, her body adjusts to allow her to lift and swing it with ease.)

Trial of The Nine Moons, Second Act - The last resort used way too often by Ayaka. It pushes all of her capabilities beyond the limits for an amount of time as she goes all savage and attacks anything and everything that she considers to be a target. It ends if she runs out of stamina and findross, or she no longer has any target to strike. Once ended, her consciousness immediately fades until she has taken the appropriate amount of rest, which depends on how long she has gone berserk.​

What are Questions? - Ayaka is extremely prone to act first, then ask questions when all is done - if there is still someone left to ask, that is.
The Hound Hungers - Ayaka is left unhinged as a consequence of surviving the Trial of The Nine Moons. She has no control over her violent tendencies.​

She grew up having her desires sated, and as such, she perceived the world did not revolve around her, rather that it was made for her.

She swiftly climbed the social hierarchy at a young age, and joined in many heroic expeditions, specifically of the Realm's Navy. She has seen and encountered Lung Feng Zao way too often that there numerous rumors and theories were made with regards to the two - none of which were ever proven to be true, unfortunately. Nobody knows why, but she chose to become a teacher at Stormcrest Naval Academy.

Those who bear witness to her using her graces always wonder how she has gotten them, to which she always gives the same answer proudly.

Impossible occurrences become common if she so desires, and miracles happen with a simple flick of her hand. The sky is always riddled with stars in her dimensional playground, making it gold in color. This grace exacts a huge toll on Lan's findross, and can only be used once a day.

The Twin Stars From Beyond - With the blessing of the Lord of The Unseen Boundary, Lan can create a sentient copy of herself. Should the original Lan suffer a fatal blow, the copy takes it in her place. Lan's copy, while sentient, does not act on its own and shares the same mind and soul as the original, effectively having two genuine Lans. While this grace consumes findross very sparingly, it can only be done under a starlit sky, and as long as there is only one Lan existing - if there are already two Lans, it cannot be used.​

Starglitter - Lan's high charismatic presence is further enhanced. Those without a very high degree of mental fortitude and self-confidence will easily be affected by her words.​

Weaknesses:
Non-combatant - While Lan appreciates the art of combat, she does not partake in it directly. She is essentially a walking target without a way to stand on her own ground.

The Star's Shadow - Lan holds herself in high regards, and in turn those that she is directly involved with. Tarnishing the reputation of such would shake her stature and possibly cause her to fall into unwanted predicaments.​

High Concept: A assassin who takes on dangerous jobs for the art of death.

Backstory: Minma was born at home since his mother was one of those whose religion didn't allow help from hospitals. On the night of his birth his father, known as Griffin, was out on work so he wasn't home for the birth. Minma's mother, not having any help with birth shortly died afterwards leaving Minma a crying baby with his umbilical cord still attached.
Miraculously Minma survived this dreadful night, but to what extent? On the night of his birth a man, whose identify is still unknown since he covers it with a mask and uses an odd voice to speak, took Minma away from his home and to a cavern. Inside the cavern lied many desk, test tubes, beakers, machines unknown to man, and many more things a man of experiments would own.
Ever since he was a year old Minma underwent hundreds, even thousands, of experiments that modified his body different to that of a normal person. The masked man also taught Minma hand to hand combat and trained Minma to be exemplary in that and the use of any blade. Minma never attended school but it didn't falter his intelligent in the slightest. He could come up with solutions for promblems he faced in any situation. But he never once left the cavern and all his training on the so called outside world was done in a realistic simulation built by the masked man.
The masked man never told Minma the reason for this training or studying but Minma never questioned it because to him if was normal. It wasn't untill Minma was eighteen the masked man told Minma everything, about how he saved him, how he's been hiding him from the real world, and why he's been training him, but needless to say he mad himself sound like a hero. The masked man told Minma that he was ready to take on the world as an assassin, little did the masked man know, Minma has already made him his first target.
The next day Minma made up his mind and durning next days training he swapped out the plastic knife which they used as a stand in for a real blade, and actually grabbed a real one unbeknown to the masked man. He always looked up to his master but he lost all respect for him when he learned the truth. He ripped away any chance of a normal life for him and took away his freedom.
Durning training Minma managed to pin down the masked man (it was obvious Minma has approved so far as to now outclass his master) and when he was supposed to slice the next with a plastic knife, he did it with a real one killing his master right there. Minma held no regret in his heart, only anger.
Time skip a few years Minma has become a full fled assassin taking jobs big and small to make a living. He's managed to assassinate simple businesses up to kings of lands. He resides no where, living amongst the woods are abandon houses since his job requires travel to all sort of lands. He's made a name for himself being called "The Lynx" because of his ability to sneak up on his prey and kill without hesitation.

Backstory: The return of Lung Feng Zao to the Stormcrest Naval Academy last year brought massive changes to the institution whose faculty and curriculum had drifted somewhat in the century-long absence of its old Headmaster. By the time the doors opened once more, Isilme was a member of the staff.

PHYSICAL
Mortal Appearance
: Tall, with pale white hair cut stylishly short. Her expression has a resting default of 'stern reserve', which can make any display of emotion on her part seem surprising. Her voice is a low contralto, suited for sonorous operatic performance or carrying an order across a battlefield with equal facility. It's impossible to place her accent but it's plain the prevailing languages aren't her first language.
Ship Appearance: An ancient, imperishable vessel of indecipherable design. White jade and orichalcum are the prevailing color themes, with translucent amber adamant providing windows and portholes. Her armaments only vaguely resemble any recognizable naval weaponry. Her hull bears equally ancient battle damage that's plainly never been repaired. Walking her decks is a curious blend of fantastic opulence mixed with the funerary sobriety of a graveyard.

Weapons & Armor: She wears a uniform of plainly military make, although its composition and adornments don't match any modern or ancient Realm navy. It's immaculately white with gold accents and resists damage and dirt with equal indifference.
The Sunset of Autumn's Ending: This ancient relic appears wrought of orichalcum and is inscribed with runes in a long-forgotten language. Drawing it unleashes not only the blade but an eerie dissonance of bells that ring forth in an endlessly repeating, endlessly iterating pattern. Anyone who consciously listens to the bells will find magics carried by sound have no hold on them. If the artifact bears any other powers, they are as mysterious as the writing on the blade.

Spells & Magic: Isilme is possessed of certain unique powers, some likely owing to Coalesced Graces, others distilled into Charms and in several cases possibly Sorcery.
Superlative Quicksilver Shape: While possessing a human appearance as Isilme, she prefers the form of the Heart-Wrought Dreadnaught, an ancient and immense battleship. She's also capable of turning into other objects but can't or just doesn't hold those shapes for longer than an hour or so. Transformation is preceded with a faint white flash (with obvious stealth implications) and is nigh-instantaneous. She's either incapable or disinterested in taking the form of any person or animal, which suggests (but doesn't prove) that the white-haired woman Isilme becomes may be her true shape.
No I'm Not: Isilme can becomes entirely unnoticeable to all trying to find her. Not only can they not see her, they cannot discern her presence from the world’s reactions. They cannot notice people talking to her or moving around her, or the ripples she makes swimming in a river. Everyone else may notice and interact with the character as normal. An act of immense will or the invocation of certain mind magics may allow a character to perceive the nature of this power for a moment, but not breach it. The only way to find her requires no magic; only extraordinary mundane self control. This requires an ongoing effort on her part, as well as concentration, making it impossible to use in battle.
No You're Not: When in battle or simple conversation, Isilme can bar a participant from retreating. Invoking this power requires physical contact, be it her blade catching a fold of cloth or her foot stomping down on their foot. While generally invoked as a way to halt momentum, its effects can negate flight or even teleportation. Its duration is mere seconds, however, requiring subsequent activation against a determined adversary.
No I Won't: Isilme can amend magically imposed mental influence with additional conditions, generally allowing her to ignore them as impossible. Ongoing mental influence requires ongoing findross expenditure from her, making it possible (if unlikely) to outlast her.
No You Won't: Anyone who spies on Isilme realizes she's already aware of them and is watching them back, regardless of any behavior on her part. It's difficult to say if she becomes supernaturally aware of attempts to spy on her or if she reflexively makes the spy supernaturally convinced she's aware.
Blood of Hierarchy Awareness: With a glance and a conscious effort, Isilme can detect the most important social tie a target has to another person, based on the target's perception of what matters most to them. When with more than one person, she can reflexively intuit familial and hierarchal relationships among all those present, ranging from where they stand in a chain of command to who is related to who.
Peerless Force: Less a Charm than a collection of Charm (or Charm-like) effects, Isilme can invokes her Heart-Wrought Dreadnaught nature for situational use. She can be as hard to hurt as an ancient warship's hull, amplify her weight to resist knockdown, and apply that Dreadnaught's forward momentum to her human frame, letting her smash through doors, stone walls and furrow earth.

Backstory: Maverick's isn't a story of greatness. He was not born into a wealthy, prestigious family, he was not a genius in any way, and he was not born with any special skill or ability. He was a simple young man, living a simple, poor life with his mother and grandparents. Since young he had been fascinated by two things: sculpting, and the delicious hot chocolate that both his mother and grandmother could make, a recipe that had been perfected and passed down through generations. With the occasional self-defense tips and tricks his grandfather, former foot soldier, tought him.

With his mother's body growing frail and sick, Maverick took it upon himself to become a bread winner at an early age. Any job, be it fishing, cleaning, assembly line, or construction work, he'd do it. In his free time, he'd tender to his mother, experiment and fail with how to improve the family hot chocolate recipe, and also... sculpt. It was his greatest joy. At night, when everyone was asleep, he'd spend a couple of hours to sculpt. Any feasible material he could get his hands on, he'd try to sculpt. It would be a sculpture of people he met, animals he saw, or an interpretation of stories he'd hear. Sculptures he would give away for free in the village. The simple joys of a simple man. He was born rather poor, but he was happy. He could work, he could care for his mother, he could sculpt, and he could drink the best hot chocolate that has ever graced humanity. He was satisfied. As long as his family was safe and happy, he would gladly not wish for anything more.

His mother unfortunately passed away by the time he reached 18. His grandparents a few weeks after. Struck by grief. He was left alone. The feeling of emptiness within him grew stronger by the day. In an attempt to keep himself together, he sought refugee in his only remaining sanctuary: the state he was in as he sculpted. He gathered any material he could, be it something he did not need from his house, or something someone else had thrown away. And he sculpted, and sculpted, until his tears had run dry, until he could not scream anymore, until the night sky cleared and the full moon graced him with its light. He had finished it. A sculpture of his family, made with wood, clay and metal. He smiled as he fainted.

Shortly after waking up he'd discover his hair had gone white and he felt different, yet he could not really explain how. He would later find out about his Grace, and subsequently decide that he still had a purpose to serve. He could not save his mother from sickness, or his grandparents from grief, but he could at least use his new found powers to save other people.

And maybe create the greatest hot chocolate recipe of all time.

  • Grace: Sculptor- he can summon a multi-purpose, shape-shifting chiesel, a hammer and a sculpting blade that he can use and which will give special properties to any creation made out of stone, wood, metal, clay, ivory, plaster, or a combination thereof. The utensils themselves have the status of legendary items, and the items that can be made are either powerful weapons, or sculptures that generate protecttive barriers, with strength and range varying depending on size, quality, and materials used, within which only he can decide who can enter, and which cannot be brought down by a normal person/item/weapon. Even if a creation is taken from him, Maverick can inflict the power of copyright™ upon the thief(s), making the item normal in their hands. The items he summons for sculpting can only be used by him.

    • Hair Style- can greatly strengthen and manipulate his own hair.
    • Kinetic vision- can enhance his vision to perceive things that are normally moving too fast.
    • Powerburst- short-term physical enhancement to allow quick outbursts of power, for a limited number of supernaturally fast and strong movements/attacks.
Weaknesses:
  • Limited by the materials at disposal, as well as the time needed to sculpt.
  • He is a simple man with simple skills, and very straightforward in his approach; those aspects can be easily turned against him.
  • While skilled in combat, he is by no means a master, or incredible in it.
