While others powers could destroy countries

Stronger powers are typically in the royal bloodline

I rare cases some people are even born with two magical abilities

When you turn 13 you take a test, people with strong and powerful powers will be forced into a royal life.

Your character, and everyone else's, have been brought into royalty due to a strong handle on their powers.

The eldest of the group is my ( Kitteh ) character, Gale. She's a 17 year old girl who can shapeshift- with a fondness for equine and feline shapes.

The next is Leon, someone who uses all pronouns, has shape-shifting magic, and is played by my best friend CalliopeDaKitteh , also one of the creators of this RP.

Then there's Max, a spoiled prince, closest to Gale and open for anyone who wants to play him. A prince before being brought to join them, and snobbish about it. Seeks out Gale and sticks by her, often quite possessive. Uses stone magic and is 17 like Gale. (OPEN)

Powers: Shapeshifter, with powerful magic and able to deviate from one animal family because of it.

I saw the Max character and I thought lets try that out.
Name: Maximillian Greycastle (Max for friends, Lord Greycastle for enemies and casual acquaintances)
Age: 17
Looks:
Max is large, standing at 6,6 he towers over most people. Clear blue eyes. He has black hair, which he likes to keep according to the latest fashion. Often seen in sharp suits, Max sees it as the duty of a prince to look as respectable (or flashy) as possible. He looks a lot like his father, who is by all accounts a striking man.

Background:

Max grew up on the Greycastle estate, a tiny paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the city. His father didn’t consider him old enough to attend high society life in the city, which is why he was confided to the estate until his thirteenth birthday.

Naturally, he was treated with the respect a prince deserves, but that led to a rather lonely life. Most of the time he spent his days studying, horse riding and fencing. A bit archaic perhaps, but the heroes from his books (often princes themselves) always learned these kinds of things.

On his thirteenth birthday he went to get tested, and to no one’s surprise his stone magic was quite strong. Like, the stoic prince he was (mostly in his own mind), he commented on the commotion the rabble were making over the results of the test. His comments might have been a bit harsh, something involving forbidding commoners from getting tested, but based on the information he had at the time they were justified (or so he will maintain come high or low water).

Whether they were or not (they weren’t), one girl took offense. For the first time in his life, beyond the boundaries set by his father, somebody denied him. It became quite a row, certainly unbefitting a prince, but when the dust settled, he had known that she was it. He needed her, she understood things about the world he couldn’t even fathom!

Her name was Gale Summers, and he needed her. And because he was a spoiled princeling used to getting his way, he started moving heaven and earth to be close to her.

It has been four years since that incident and he never let her go.

Personality:
Max is spoiled, he is used to getting his way and that reflects in his lifestyle. He likes diversions. He longs for great adventures and great romances. He thinks of himself as a knight, Don Juan, explorer and scholar rolled into one. He’s a bit of a narcist and certainly thinks he is the centre of the universe.

He is also a loyal friend, good for a few laughs and always available to do something. He adheres to a code of what he considers to be princely virtues. He doesn’t break the code and somehow it seems to have an answer for most things. Gale frequently thinks he makes it up as he goes, but no one knows for sure.

Role: Max is a royal and he loves it. He is prone to stirring up trouble when he is bored, but so far the court has been a suitable enough distraction.

-Kyle grew up in the northern most parts of Canada near the US border to Alaska, where he and his family lived day to day life relatively peacefully. The rest of his family weren't very adept with magic and as such scored pretty low on their tests, though his powers at that point hadn't manifested due to his young age. The memories of sledding and snowball fights were the most prominent ones outside of the few friends he had in school, with one such day engrained into his memory and soul. The brutal murder of his family. The catalyst that awakened the powers fueled by unbridled agony and everlasting depression. From that point on he isolated himself from everyone, mourning the loss of his family after the police had done naught but let the killer escape.
-When he turned 13 he reluctantly took his test, his powers far exceeding his family alongside everyone else in the town he came from; though it's not something he's capable of controlling through conventional means. Special gear had to be made to nullify his powers when put on, made to be worn in everyday life for convenience. Over the years living in the royal family that he was forced to live with, he's only grown more recluse as he's become more frustrated at the blunder the police in his hometown allowed for; now using his higher status to track down his family's murderer. Whether or not it will pay off remains to be seen.

Personality: He's extremely cold and distant to people he's never met, and though he does get closer to others with time he almost never talks; only speaking in response to someone or when asked upon. Due to his nature, he's known to be secretive and never talks about his past to anyone, but he also won't spill any secrets anyone else gives to him. Air that touches his skin is also unaffected, and his touch can only affect specific objects (So touching a car doesn't instantly freeze the passengers inside, nor does it freeze the pavement the car rests on). This also does not affect any planet or astrological body he might be on, though freezing an entire sky-scrapper is possible.
-With Gear Off: In addition to his instant-freezing touch, the mere presence of him with his specialized gear off will create an aura of cold air around him. It is 5 meters in radius in all directions, and the closer an object is to him within the aura the colder the temperature gets.

I was kind of hoping to keep his age at 19, as having him be younger wouldn't line up with his current mental stability; and making him a psychological mess wouldn't be particularly pleasant to interact with. If I need to I can, but that'd also mean revising his personality to reflect his younger state of mind.

Looks: Blond and blue eyed, it's easy to mistake Lucas for a prince already. He has a startlingly handsome appearance that seems to be flawless like marble and musculature like he'd been chiseled from stone. However, there's also scarring on his back and he has a tattoo which is evidence of his humanity and indisputable proof that "No. He is not actually a Greek statue. Even if he has the emotional availability of one, even statues have more emotional expression."
Background: (bullet pointed for convenience)
- Lucas grew up in the poorer part of the suburbs for the first part of his life (infancy to 5 years old)
- His parents divorced and his father got custody. He lived in a trailer park with his father. (5 - 14)
- He managed to slide under the radar for tests (frankly he didn't feel like showing up to the testing and instead climbed a radio tower)
- His mother regained custody and he began living alone because she had to work so much (14 - 15)
- He finally took the test and they found his power is actually pretty strong
- He's being groomed for royalty now. Hates it, get me out please.
Personality: At first, Lucas appears to be very cold and arrogant to the people around him due to his complete lack of and tone expression and tendency to have a sharp tongue. However, as people get to know him, he becomes a very playful and charismatic... Though the sass still stays, it becomes a lot wittier and less cruel.
Role: Part of the group?
Powers: Wire manipulation. He can summon very strong and very fine wires and manipulate them at his will, this often makes it appear like he's levitating or that he's using psychokinesis, but it's just that the wires are about the width of a hair so they are very hard to see. They can be used to drag objects towards him, help him climb up something, or used as a garrote in fighting or to lash people like a whip.

Background:
Shinju Ishihara grew up living at a shrine in rural japan. While his attire does not quite reflect the shrine maiden colors, he cleaned and was always seen sitting in front of said shrine. This was all until he reached the age of 13 in which he had to take a test, that would alter his whole entire life without him even knowing. His strength of his powers apparently did not match the family who took him in and he had to find this out the hard way. Taken from the only family he has ever known, he found it hard to live "royally" as he has lived in a pretty rural area for all his life. He now keeps his family close by holding a picture of them in his pocket.

Personality:
Shinju is a very polite and considerate person, as he has worked and lived at a shrine all his life. He seems to be very gentle and always takes his time with other people, even if he might dislike them a bit. He has habits of cleaning up everyone's messes and acting almost like a maid who follows everyone around.. but this is his way of coping and keeping his old shrine life close to him.

Angelic Aura - The user has the power to manipulate an energy that heals the people it is used on. This can go from healing wounds to curing diseases, but Shinju would need to use all his strength when it comes to internal situations in the body. This healing effect comes from his aura (which is pure), so he doesn't even need to touch the person to heal them.

It was meant to be a threat to any who sympathized with the Aubezac family, but all it did was light a fire in the eldest heir... A literal fire. After her nine year old sister was beheaded, she and her newly discovered flames wiped out half of the new tyrant's legion. She was too young to reclaim her rightful throne, but she set out on a mission to master her powers with the intention of slaying each and every tyrant ruler left in the world. Thus she took the test, and was forced into a different sort of royal lifestyle.

Personality: She is very quiet, cynical, and sarcastic. Though she has happy moments, she is mostly bitter. She is, above all things, out for vengeance. This can cause a lot of issues.

Background: Jay grew up in a pretty normal family. Her mother died when she was young, leaving just Jay and her father, a policeman. Growing up, Jay was quite the troublemaker, sneaking out late and taking stupid dares for fun. One day, she snuck out of her school to go on a joyride with friends, but was pulled over and taken to the police station where her father worked. While she was getting booked, she saw her father and a few other policemen bringing in a criminal with super strength. Suddenly, he broke out of his chains and went to punch Jay's father, and Jay instinctively went up to try and protect him. When she touched the man, though, she accidentally gained all of his strength, nearly breaking the entire station. She was soon after tested for powers, and found that she was extremely powerful because she can master someone's powers within minutes to a couple of hours depending on the power's complexity.
Personality: Jay is an all-around smartass. She's wily and sarcastic, and typically doesn't take anything very seriously. She's a bit of a troublemaker and definitely reckless, doing whatever she wants at any particular moment.

Background: Hunter doesn't remember much from when he was little, just that he and his sister were left at an orphanage when they were both very little. Hunter grew up super protective of his sister, and even though they fought, they still loved each other. When his sister turned thirteen, she got the power to talk to animals. The kids at school would often bully her for having a weak power, even though Hunter would always come to her defense. One day, they took it too far, pushing her into a wall and cutting open her forehead. Hunter tried to fight them off, but one of the kids, a pyromancer, threw a flame at him, burning part of his arm. That was the first time he transformed, taking on his wolf form. Since them, he was tested, and found out his other form.
Personality: Hunter is somewhat shy at first, but after you get to know him, you'll realize how open he really is. He's always jokey and optimistic, and he's fiercely loyal towards his friends, doing anything to protect them.
