Booking Agreement
1 If you find anything about the Grand Scarlet not up to par with your expectations, or if you have any questions at all, please direct your concerns to our management team

2 Each guest is limited to two persons per party and no more.
3 Guests are expected to maintain themselves in a polite and friendly manner among other guests and our team here at Grand Scarlet, and also will be expected to keep up with a once per week minimum check in to assure us that you are still enjoying your stay here with us. If you are going to need a little extra time, we do have a guest chatroom you will be given access to in order to keep up with your current status.
4 Here at Grand Scarlet we warmly welcome and accept guests of all varieties and walks of life- however, we do strongly prefer our guests are literate and possess creative abilities to keep our day to day interactions moving forward in a direction that is pleasant for all of us!
5 The Big Easy is a city where many things can happen, the good and the bad. It is best to familiarize yourself with desirable locations for touring while you are here as well as the less desirable aspects of our beautiful New Orleans... Certain things that take place during your stay may not be suitable for younger guests, therefore we are currently only accepting guests of legal age. (Mature themes allowed all within the guidelines of what is allowed on RPN, but characters must all be 18+)

Whatever it is, we are glad you're choosing to unpack your bags here with us at Grand Scarlet Luxury Hotel. We are convinced you're going to enjoy your stay so much that you will definitely be back, in fact, we are almost certain you won't want to leave!

It is mid October in New Orleans, still hot and humid and tiring by day. Yet, as the locals know very well and tourists quickly learn, night time is always a party in the French Quarter and there is always trouble to get yourself into.
This particular Halloween season, the city's most luxurious hotel Grand Scarlet, known for its luxurious suites, an on-site jazz bar, fine dining and even finer selection of spirits, is all no vacancy as a multitude of curious characters have booked its cozy rooms.
Some of the guests are simply fulfilling a stop on their bucket list, some are running from dark secrets of the past, some are young and hoping New Orleans will live up to the reputation of being a party city, and some yet are residents of New Orleans who have taken such a liking to Grand Scarlet that they have even made it their home.
There are many reasons why Grand Scarlet is a desirable place to stay, but one of the attractive qualities is that it is supposedly haunted, or cursed, or otherwise negatively impacted by the occult. After all, in a city already filled to the brim with whispers of the supernatural, it only makes sense to stay somewhere that might secure you a spot on the front row when something truly remarkable happens, and this close to Halloween, well, something just has to right?

Grand Scarlet New Orleans will follow a group of various characters (roles are listed below) who are staying in a supposedly haunted hotel in New Orleans' French Quarter. Some of the guests will be from out of town, and there for different reasons. And some of the guests and other locals actually live in the hotel.
The local and long time residents of Grand Scarlet have a dark secret. They are a cult of self proclaimed vampires who believe themselves to possess many supernatural abilities and qualities. Are they actually creatures of the night or are they just truly deranged, lost individuals who have unfortunately found like-minded people to cause dark mayhem with? No one actually knows, and even though no one knows about the secret cult they've built around their belief, a lot of the locals are aware of their undeniably strange habits and the fact they are frequently found together.
Grand Scarlet will be host to many new guests during the spookiest season of the year, and just in time for what the cult believes to be their final step to ascend into their true power. They are hoping for each member of the cult to find one sacrifice for Halloween night, and with all these new people in town, it might be easier than they ever imagined.

These are not first come first serve but I do accept applications on the spot
if I like the character, because I don't like to waste people's time with
an application process if only one person is going to get accepted anyways.

LOCALS (CULT)
The Magician (taken by

) This resident of Grand Scarlet New Orleans is a very well known magician. They are proficient in their magic and sleight of hand. They are also a TV personality, as they have their own television show that has made them immensely famous for their practice. Outside of the TV show, they do frequent local shows at the Grand Scarlet and around in different bars and venues in the city. While this person is charismatic and charming on television and before a live crowd, you would hardly recognize them one on one. They are rude, unapproachable, and possess many vices they don't seem to want to deal with... They also happen to be a founding member of a small cult that began in New Orleans a few years ago, with Grand Scarlet as its secret headquarters.The Seer This New Orleans native and cult member is convincingly normal. They have a day job, regular friends, and a nice home somewhere in the city. However, a few nights a week they rent a room at Grand Scarlet to practice their night job, tarot reading for the citizens of New Orleans. People really like the hard to find location of the practice because a lot of the people who come to this psychic are living dishonest lives, being unfaithful, or breaking the law and don't know where else to turn. This seer serves the bad guys of New Orleans, and also happens to be in a cult with some of the other strange characters around town.
The Jazz Musician A musical prodigy, this resident of the big easy grew up a street musician. Unfortunately, they also grew up generally on the streets. They had a rough upbringing, and have gone through several spells of homelessness and multiple tragedies. Still, they clung to their music and kept playing, and one day, the Hotelier of Grand Scarlet New Orleans happened to hear that trumpet play, and just knew that their hotel could not go on without it. They hired the Jazz Musician to frequently come and play in Grand Scarlet's jazz bar, which in turn helped the musician get a lot of recognition and many more jobs. Now they live there in the hotel, but they are beginning to wonder if they made the right decision, because the hotel owner also dragged them into a cult, and things have been getting really dark lately, but there's no clear way out...

)This incredibly wealthy and successful person does not directly own the hotel, but is its grounds manager. They have spent the last three years of their life in this amazing position, and have proven time and time again they have what it takes to keep this majestic tourist location up and running. They are largely part of the reason many people believe it to be haunted or cursed, as that is a rumor they personally pushed to up the sales even in the slow seasons. This person knows the hotel inside and out, and takes note of every guest, especially the out of town guests. This person is immensely organized (and perhaps, even controlling), witty, and cunning. They also happen to be the founder of a cult of self-proclaimed vampires who intend to sacrifice some of their new guests on Halloween night.NEWCOMERS (POTENTIAL SACRIFICES)
The Runaway This person has made an escape. Who knows from what. But the way they drove quickly to the valet of the Grand Scarlet and swiftly took their own bags straight to the front desk begging God or whoever was listening for a room no matter the quality told everyone they left something terrible behind. They happened to get the last vacant room of the season booked for a few weeks, and they've stayed in there for several days now. Finally they're gaining some incentive to perhaps come out of there, and see the city... They are choosing a truly terrible time to do so, but they are totally oblivious to that.

)This young lover had a fairytale romance throughout their high school years. Married right out of the gate to the love of their life, they thought everything was going to be perfect. Unfortunately, at the young age of twenty, their lover was somehow tragically killed. A couple of years later, and this widow/er has not so much as left their home, let alone pursued any dreams or aspirations. Finally, after months in the darkness, they decided they needed to do something, anything to help themselves start to live again. So they have packed up everything they could into a few small bags and headed to New Orleans (which is a very different place than where they came from) and are looking for work and a place to stay. In the meantime they've made Grand Scarlet their temporary landing pad.The Occult Enthusiasts (THIS IS TWO ROLES, CAN BE PLAYED BY ONE PLAYER OR SPLIT BETWEEN TWO) These young fans of the supernatural and occult have determined they would spend their Halloween season in New Orleans most haunted location of all. Grand Scarlet. They have planned their spooky itinerary carefully and plan on hitting every creepy hot spot in the city. They are huge fans of The Magician who they've always watched on TV and learned all of their own magic tricks from. They are filled to the brim with excitement and delight to finally make their dream Halloween come true.
