In a medieval world, full of what the public claims as peace, everything seems to run smoothly. Small villages and towns governed and protected by the king live in peace with one another and everyone in them. Except for those who are special. Till a few years beforehand, the king ruled by the side of his wife until she was murdered by the already banned magic of death magic. The killer was smart and never found and the king was on his own without his beloved breathing another breath. Out of hatred and anger, the king banned all use of magic and called for the death of those who could use it. Many died and years later they believe they have eradicated all who can use magic. Muse A lives in a small village, all on his own after his mother was killed due to the ban of magic. All Muse A remembers from his parents is he must hide his ability, the rare and unheard ability of healing. So that's what he did. Living as a normal human was all he could do and so he practiced healing whilst living on his own. Then one day, when going to collect some herbs needed for medicine, Muse A finds Muse B injured in the forest beside his small village. Muse B was injured and on the borderline of death. What he didn't know was that he was the prince. Hunted down by an assassin who believed the King, his father's, ban on magic was wrong after the assassin's magic-using father was killed. Luckily, the hunter lost Muse B but only after injuring him and leaving him upon death's door. With no other choice, Muse A uses his ability to heal him but remained afraid of what may happen next.
Disaster: (Two dominant OC’s)
Muse A is summoned from another universe entirely, into a fantastical world where he is meant to be the savior from disaster. The world he is brought to is filled with magic and creatures galore. Not every person in this land is capable of using every form of magic or practicing every skill, however. Rather, in this world, people are born with Affinities. These affinities often define a person's life and their studies, though some don't find out what it is until decades into their lives. Luckily, for Muse A, he has been brought to this world long after the discovery of affinity stones. These stones will react to a person's mana, or life force, to discern what that person's affinity may be. This is often complicated, so some people have spent centuries studying the different reactions of the stones to perfect the practice.
Muse A, as an outsider of this world, breaks the rules of reality. Where each person is born with one affinity, the chances of being born with two are nearly insurmountable and almost unheard of. Muse A, as a summon, is born with two. His original world is not home to magic, and using it there is completely impossible, so he did know. Muse B is a hero born of this world, despite overcoming a terrible affinity he has become the strongest warrior and the person most opposed to summoning anyone during the disaster. His opposition falls on deaf ears. Muse B views Muse A's numerous affinities to be a cheat and thus hates him. Normally two people can be summoned to the world at a time but this time they only manage to get one, Muse A. What will Muse B do when the king requires him to step in for the lack of a second person and fight the disasters with the outsider?
When Muse A was a small child they lived in a small rural village. When exploring the wooded area he meets a fairy. But fae folk aren’t as kind as they seem in the movies. After making a bad deal with a fairy, one part of Muse A’s body has been reduced down to just bones. They move away a couple of years later causing him to become the new kid at the local high school. He tries out for the basketball team, against his parents' wishes, but it’s his passion. He promises not to let anyone find out and to keep this part about him hidden so they reluctantly agree. This is where he meets the year one captain Muse B. Muse A wants to go about life as normal just like everyone else around him..but what happens when Muse B starts getting too close to discovering his secret?
A dystopian future where people can be terminally punished as potential lawbreakers before they've ever done anything wrong. Muse A works for the Public Safety Bureau, where his job is to take down latent lawbreakers as determined by a series of complicated scientific metrics called the Sybil System - or so he believes. As he learns more about the truth behind the Sybil System, he becomes increasingly disillusioned with its ability to make fair judgments. Meanwhile, Muse B sits outside the system - able to commit horrific acts without ever being recognized by it.
Anything for the treaty:
In this era, Vampires are ruled by both a Senate and a Vampire family of the highest power. Humans go about their day, safely guarded by the underground Hunters Defense Government(HDG). A treaty had long since been established that no innocent blood shall be spilled and if in such an event did happen, that it be dealt with accordingly. But recently, a rift seems to have come between the vampires and humans. So the most powerful Vampire family, Muse A’s family, decides to hold an extravagant ball to reestablish contact and invites the HDG's President's human family as well.
Muse A, the son of the president, and Muse B, only know each other through their parent's business relations and had only seen each other one time before this night. Muse B is the perfect son that was molded into his father's image to carry on the organization and get them in good relations with the vampires again. When the ball is stopped abruptly at Muse B’s father's request, it is decided that he would offer his son's hand in marriage to the vampire family’s son, everyone including Muse A is shocked. Muse B fears for his life as he has just been handed off into the vampire nest, the things he had learned to hate his entire life.
In a world where magic isn't so common, most magic-users are seen as monsters and freaks throughout the nation. Humans are scared of them thinking that they will take over and change their way of life. As a result, most people with these abilities choose to keep them hidden to avoid judgment. Two friends, Muse A and Muse B, both have these powers. Muse B is very open about his abilities. He doesn't really care what others think about him and will use it whenever he wants for whatever he wants. He finds the process of them having to hide these parts of their life absurd. However, Muse A is not the same. He’s never used his powers in public before and even Muse B doesn't know he posses them.
During a lecture at their university one day, Muse A seems to be acting strange. He is constantly going to the bathroom, refuses to make eye contact with Muse B, and many other strange behaviors. Muse B finally confronts Muse A about the behavior as he was trying to leave campus without him at the end of the day. This sudden outburst by his best friend causes Muse to A loses control of his abilities. How will Muse B react after finding out Muse A has been lying to him all these years? Is their friendship over?
Muse A, a fairy, just as all fairies his age are doing, living with the humans in the twentieth century, unlike the older generation, he was born into the age of technology. Like all fairies, Muse A can grow and shrink his size to appear more like a bug to human size. He goes to work every day, just like any human does, and he lives a fairly normal life when he's average-sized. In fact, the only way to tell the difference is the wings. Fortunately, those are invisible to human eyes. Even when a fairy's wings touch a human, they feel a rush of chilly air, often mistaken for that felt when in the presence of a ghoul or ghost. Nevertheless, no human has ever recognized a fairy. Except for one. Muse B attends the same University as Muse A and they work together in a coffee shop near campus. When Muse A was learning a new drink that was added to the menu, he asks his coworker if he did it right. Muse B was cleaning the floor across the store and when Muse A went to carry it to him he tripped on the wet floor, dipping the end of his wing into the beverage. Right away he knew what he had done, trying to get Muse B not to drink the beverage. Much to his horror, Muse B took the drink, and the moment the drink passed through Muse B’s lips, it gave them the ability to see not only the wings but the true forms of all the lores they pass by in the street every day. Now Muse A is responsible for making sure Muse B does not speak of the existence of these ”mythical creatures” or they will both be in danger.
In a post-apocalyptic world, Muse A made his way down an old, empty airport, with no sign of life anywhere, hoping to find some food or extra supplies for the never-ending trip he called his life, so far nothing. Biting his lip, he quickly ran down the hall, evading scattered debris. Muse A, alone in a world full of starved, threatening people. It wasn't that he wasn't one of them, no he was far from that, having killed a good number of travelers that had gotten a little close for comfort. After a while, Muse A settled in an abandoned plane, which had been attached to the airport, the most decent looking one he could spot. Throwing his blanket down on the moss-covered seat he settled into the small, almost uncomfortable space. Time had become one of those things that had long left him, days felt like weeks. Only able to assume that it had been a few years since society collapsed. Guns, ammo, and gas ran out first while the mass hysteria started. Still, Muse A took a moment to reminisce old memories, of friends, family, just people! Of course, there were camps, people who had banded together, but he couldn't be one of them. He didn't believe that there was any chance of him having any contact with anybody who wouldn't be out to steal or worse kill him. That was the world now, one that made him grow cold to everything around him. Closing his eyes, Muse A fell into an uneasy sleep with his knife in hand, on alert. Yet time later, Muse A woke up to the sound of the door opening, Muse B, had come onto the plane. Friend or foe, did he really have time to find out?
Muse A is coming of age in their magical family. On their 18th birthday, they learn what element (water, air, earth, or fire) they have been gifted with. Muse A has been under the impression and hopes that they will have inherited the same element that their parents and grandparents have been blessed with, however they come to discover that they have been bestowed with the opposite element. According to rules set forth in the family’s grimoire, Muse A must learn to master their gift from a witch/warlock who possesses the same elemental power as they do. Muse B, who has the same element as Muse A, becomes Muse A’s reluctant mentor. Muse B is brilliant and powerful, but lacks in the department of manners and compassion, especially when Muse A shows difficulty harnessing their new abilities. Muse B is condescending and impatient often without provocation. One day, Muse A meets their wit’s end with Muse B’s treatment and they demand to know why Muse B is so hostile toward them. Muse B reveals that they come from rival families and they are only teaching Muse A due to the terms of a 1,000-year-old truce. Once Muse A has mastered their gift, however, the ceasefire will be over. And the families will once again be at odds.
Muse A and Muse B are dorm neighbors who despise each other. Muse A is a bad boy in a band. He is persistently inviting girls or his equally annoying friends over who do not attend the college. Muse B is in the opposite crowd. He always finds something to laugh about and is an all-around cheerful person. Everyone in their major loves him. Being dorm neighbors, they make ways to annoy each other. It started small at first. Muse A always hosted big parties resulting in Muse B holding band practice when Muse A was sleeping. As time went on, the pair started an all-out war. Anything they can think of from, calling the RA, duct taping the door shut, or messing with the shared washer was fair game.
Behind the facade, Muse A is a genius, and no one knows but their professors. When Muse B starts failing a critical class, he risks losing his scholarship. The only way to stop it is to ace the final. Muse A's parents have been lecturing and reminding him for a while that he should stop being immature and at least make a decent friend. If he does not, they will stop paying for his college and force him to come home as they are afraid he has surrounded himself with bad influences.
With the holidays and vacations getting closer, Muse A knows he needs to make a plan to get his parents to stop bugging him. The next day he sees Muse B standing in front of the tutoring center for a while but then turning away, without ever entering. Muse A approaches Muse B that evening to make a deal, so they both benefit; he will privately tutor him, and Muse B will spend the holiday with him and his parents to show he does have decent friends. After the holidays and the final, they can go back to their outspoken rivalry. But will the plan work well enough, or will it work too well?
A non-fan, Muse A, is asked to go get the signatures of all the members of a superstar band at an event. His older sister is obsessed but because she’s working she can’t go. After much bribing he reluctantly agrees. Muse A meets the main singer, Muse B, unknowingly to him in the bathroom. Catching him doing something he shouldn’t be(it could be anything from taking shirtless pics, smoking, or drinking). It’s awkward. Muse A is flustered, unable to get past him without making eye contact. Muse B notices the reaction but has to get to the stage so the interaction is cut short. Only when sitting down at his seat for the panel does he notice who Muse B really is..which makes it that much worse. After sitting through the panel and being the only man in the entire building, he gets in line to get the autographs. Muse B thankfully acts like nothing happened and that he’d never met him before. As he’s leaving the manager approaches and asks if he’d like a job. It’s loud and muse A wasn't interested so he wasn’t fully listening. Only hearing the job being the bands new stylist since he liked his appearance and it’s obvious he knew fashion. Muse A declined until he started to hear all the benefits, deciding to take the position after all. Little did he know that he actually just agreed to be Muse B’s private stylist.
Pirates and Royalty:
Muse A is the eldest son in the royal family. Now that he is old enough to become King, his parents have arranged for him to be married to a princess in another kingdom to help their alliance. Muse A does not want to have an arranged marriage and decides that he is going to leave and figure out whether he really wants to become King at all.
Muse B is a captain for a pirate crew that frequents Muse A's kingdom. On one of the stops at the kingdom's port, Muse B picks up Muse A to work on his ship, not knowing that he was the prince and heir to the throne.
Muse A stays on the ship as a Boatswain, reporting to Muse B directly. He also helped with the duty of anchoring. Muse A enjoys being with the pirates and the exploring and experience that comes with the job.
One day while in port of a town Muse B sees a poster of the missing prince and realizes that it’s non others than Muse A. The reward is large enough for him to retire if he took him back to the kingdom. Will he turn him in or is their relationship too far developed?
Guy Next Door:
Muse A lives a pretty good life. They have good friends, get good grades, have a loving family and have a clear path into college/university. Their life was going smoothly until Muse B showed up. Muse B is a foster kid who was taken in by Muse A's neighbours who often took in children until they could find their own way in life. Muse B was the type of foster child who ran away often, got into trouble and was frequently brought home in a police car. He has tattoos, he smokes and drinks and gets in fights. How did this effect Muse A though? Well, for starters, their second story bedroom windows faced each other. They also went to the same school, and several classes together and Muse B went out of his way to make life difficult for Muse A. One night, Muse A wakes up to a loud thump, followed by cursing. Looking out their window, towards the ground, they see Muse B standing up, having clearly fallen when trying to sneak out.
Muse A is an RA (Resident Advisor) for a freshman dorm on campus. Muse B is a freshman in Muse A's dorm who loves nothing more than to break the rules, which happens to irk Muse A's by-the-book nerves. When Muse B's parents drop by campus for an unexpected visit, Muse B is in no shape to see them because they were partying so hard last night. Seeing that Muse B is finally about to get busted for their bad behavior, Muse A quickly runs interference to give Muse B time to get themselves presentable. The visit goes well enough not to draw suspicion thanks to Muse A's quick thinking. When Muse B's parents leave, Muse B breathes a sigh of relief-- until Muse A points out that Muse B now owes them.
Anyone but him:
Muse A and Muse B attend the same uni. Muse A is popular and smart. He is the captain of the basketball team and surrounded by friends. Muse B is sick of the world, not caring about his grades or going to class. Though they have attended the same school since they were children the two had never spoke. That is until the professor pairs the two as partners for the final group project worth 50% of their final grade. They look to each other with disgust and when class is dismissed Muse A begs the professor to give him another partner but he refuses. To pass this class the two will have to learn to put there differences aside and get a long.
Muse A is living in an apartment that his parents have bought him until they get in a large argument (we'll figure that out later) and they stop giving him money. He is unable to pay the rent and needs to have a roommate to make the payment. Muse B is on full scholarship for a sports team and didn't get a room in the dorm with his team. He is looking for cheap apartments and finds Muse A's ad. He goes to look and Muse A reluctantly lets him rent the room as the ad had been posted for a month already and he won’t be able to pay. Muse A has had everything handed to him and Muse B has always had to work for it. How will the pair ever get along when Muse B hates Muse A’s arrogant demeanor and the fact he is a slob?
The school has taken an educational trip during summer vacation. Muse B is bored out of his mind and worse for him Muse A is also there. Muse A and Muse B don't particularly like each other so they've made clear, unfortunately for them, luck is not on their side. On a cruise stop at a small island both of them somehow end up falling asleep or getting distracted- completely missing the cruise ship's departure. Left on a tropical island with no cell reception, a beautiful beach, and no supplies until the next cruise ship makes a stop at their destination which is in about... 1 month. How will they survive? Well more importantly how will they withhold from killing each other? Ultimately here's a thin line between hate and love, especially when theirs no one else to rely on.
Muse A is struggling through life (and it won’t always be easy cue angst) and on the verge of losing their part-time job. Leaving him stuck looking for gigs here and there to live on. He doesn't know what tomorrow will look like, where he’ll sleep, but continues to try and somehow find a way, saving every dime and penny for food and shelter, sometimes not even knowing if he’ll have enough. On top of that Muse A is a student always getting in trouble for missing assignments and humiliated by the teachers for being incapable of attending the prestigious school. For not caring. This lead to him being surrounded by people who were delinquents. It didn't take long before Muse A was nothing less than a bully. Muse B is an athlete who loves participating in club activities and has a large group of friends. Perfect home life, with a family who loves him. That doesn't mean he doesn't have his own demons, he just does a better job of hiding them. Muse B is perceptive, he notices that Muse A never eats lunch and seems to wear the same uniform every day but doesn't say anything. And for the most part, they stay apart. That is until one day Muse A and his team go to celebrate a big win and sees it is where Muse B is working. It is against school policy to have a job, so he gets everyone to leave before anyone else recognizes him.
