Well....fair. But Thraika still won't be happy. It's a library, even though Thraika's the steampunk dude it's still gonna hurt like hell.
Besides, think of all those chances lost! And how the hell are we going to teach the paladin Underworlding 101 now?
Well it's a good thing cath has 0 reason to destroy it

Yes a few the best and most favored of a deity likrly get picked by a god. But a vast majority are stuck in the afterlife.
They get yeeted oof. Some middle-tiers might get in simply cause Thraika was bored or needed extra hands to monitor his domains. The vast majority are left in the afterlife, but those who hold something very very vital or dangerous are probably spirited away by Thraika. The higher-ups consist mostly of those who uncovered something important, something dangerous or something very very interesting for Thraika.

That would likely mean he has tens of thousands from over he years which might make cath actively hostile given he is fucking with the dead far more than others as all dead except the chosen few god to the afterlife

Now i'm imagining Thraika's domain like a freaking office lmao with all the newly dead clerics the interns. Thraika's casually chilling as a giant clockwork dragon on top of a tower while the newly-made angels are running around screaming cause its Monday and they gotta learn how to ANGEL!

So you are saying you want cath to view him by default as a threat to the world be ause he is actively screwing greatly with the cycle of rebirth and likely casing really bad effects

Well yes but actually yes!
Thraika more likely sees them as living, walking, breathing pieces of knowledge and lore so his defence is literally: "They know this, and now they're mine." To be fair, after a certain point Thraika simply claims proprietor over the clergy's souls, and most likely either sees them as belongings to be coveted and stored.

Then hos followers would not have the library given cath wouldn't let them congregate because well they are worshiping a god trying to destroy the world

Given I get to set the afterlife rules we are working off Greek rules not d&d rules for the dead

So them I guess the library isn't a site fir his followers anymore its just for cath
Then hos followers would not have the library given cath wouldn't let them congregate because well they are worshiping a god ring to destroy the world
Yeah. His followers are less of: "Read more knowledge!" and more of: "GET MORE KNOWLEDGE YOU LAZY BUFFONS!". They might visit the library to replicate/investigate/archaeologist or whatever, they might even go there to share info and chat around, but mostly the science and experiments go on at the lab/outpost. Thraika really doesn't care about the socializing part, just as long as they don't leak any info.
Thraika knows he doesn't own the library. It's Cath's. He doesn't want to destroy the world on purpose, more like would study anything despite the destruction(think of destructive obsession), helll be damned for the side-effects.

It's a place made by the dead its in the afterlife its for only the dead. You are really really making the knowledge god a villian trying to destroy all knowledge

If Thraika's clergy didn't investigate and study shit after death, Thraika's going to be real disappointed. It's also possible he sent living followers down there on purpose to build it, which is why there's outposts even in the Underworld(well...more like outpost but still). Very focused on knowledge at all costs. Understandably, they are no longer among the living.

That's literally a one way trip of the visit be ause getting info is not that hard and if thraika is hostile to cath constantly going in and stealing the dead they wouldn't be allowed any outpost or lab or anything

The library is older then the god it like many other places was started by the followers of the previous gods it is just where souls that like knowledge would gravitate

He's not hostile, just doing his own thing until a crisis shows up and he gets yoinked back. For Thraika, certain of the dead are considered "his property" so he keeps them. Since this is the higher ups and Thraika's pretty dang brutal to his own clergy, those who aren't insane aren't a lot(think around ten thousand and even then that's pushing it.) And even then, their souls are melded into machinery(Thraika was inspired off of the Broken God btw) and over enough time they're essentially diluted to nothing.

Thraika's clergy was inspired off of Seekers of the Name. Not all of them are like that, but the most trusted ones and the ones that know something are like that. If they're not allowed at the library, moving to even ruins of a laboratory or outpost would be more likely. Destroying the library simply won't have that much of an effect on them than destroying an outpost.

Again he would get sone souks just his favorites to be helpers but that would be like getting the pope of knowledge and a few tiny amount of those he favors a small amount rather than the pope the cardinals the bisops the te ereneds and the priests

And if the knowledge gid is hostile they don't get a choice hey are basicly pow forced into rebirth asap to make up fir his fucking about with the natural order. They are dead so cath uses her power to say jump hey ask how high

If he is taking let's say 10 a year not 10000 a year then likely there is no beef between the two

I am not even sure why he is so obsessed with keeping literally anything and everything a secret and hiding k owledge away from everyone

I mean..how many Albert Einsteins and grand geniuses are out there? 10? 15 per year? That's pushing it but ok. Thraika would literally just reap the best of their clergy to man their domains, the rest can literally go rot. And by the best I mean, like the guy who uncovered the barrier crack, the gal who discovered a weapon that can enhance Thraika's more or less useless magic, etc. You'd have to pull off something really impressive, or uncover something so concerning Thraika chooses to spare you instead of smiting you to prevent the outbreak of eldritch madness you just accumulated. Thraika doesn't have the time to steal 10,000 souls, just the one that do catch his attention will be fine. Besides, it does add up over thousands of years.

He's the god of knowledge my dude.
Also no one's even remotely interested in interacting with the socially dead artificer god. Thraika has the social skills of a camel and the obsession of a pokemon trainer

Then that wouldn't bug cath the rest of the dead woukd go to the afterlife and do whatever they want.

A
Now back to him monitoring the dead or rather all of his dead from over the years he hasn't picked so thousands at all times to smite them shoukd they talk wven though the whole point was they were sharing the knowledge by writing it down in the library where only other dead people coukd get it
