Messier: Diamond City, The Badlands (Gladius-IV)
Once the Netherworlder was spoken to like a proper person, she suddenly opened up and mostly focused on the topic, at least as well as they could. "Alright, so you saw a bug, asked people to get it away from you, and panicked when no one helped? That sounds... Well, it's actually kind of understandable. You went overboard, but at least you had more of a reason than no reason at all." Maybe, just maybe, this Netherworlder was less insane than the rest of them.

So of course, she had to have another outburst. "Hey, calm down, I'm not going to let them enslave or kill you. Not while you're not even doing anything at least." In an attempt, that would most likely prove futile, the fusionist placed her free hand on Verdi's shoulder, and stepped away from her outstretched legs before any kicks get thrown in her tantrum. "Hey, you never did tell me what a German was. Would they happen to be another type of demon?"

Then, to make matters worse, the supposed boss of this shanty town made another attempt to take control of a situation in the worst way possible. But the real interesting bit was he was now talking about fighting rats rather than savages. Just how many things did he plan to declare war on? While Messier pondered over just how far his desires would take him, his second in stepped forward to point a weapon at the Musician sitting on the ground beside her. "Did you not listen to a word I've said?" Messier was starting to let the frustration get to her. If people would just listen to each other, everyone would just be able to go on their way in peace. Taking a step to put herself between the gun and the musician, Messier looked up to the woman. "Just put it down before things get worse for your town. Please, if not for yourself then for everyone else."

Luckily, the zombie's lady friend was starting to speak up and also seemed to be going for a peaceful outcome. "Hey, someone else here isn't just out for blood? You should really speak up more, we might have prevented all this escalation if you had." Still giving the gun pointed at her chest no though, Messier turned to Harry. "So, since we know what we're going to do now, could we please get started?"

"Marcus, how are you holding up?" Jolie asked "I'm gonna need some blood, but...I won't take it if..."
She let out another sigh. It wasn't like the Vampire needed to breathe, but it was taking quite a lot a willpower to keep her from losing control. There wasn't even enough blood in her system to heal the wounds inflicted on her body, and if she hunger frenzied she could tear Marcus apart. At least one of them would be killed int the fight.
"If you're not strong enough."

She reached behind her back, producing a wooden stake.
"I know what you're thinking." She shot him a sickly half-smile "But Vampires don't die when you stab us like this. We go into a coma instead, at least till the stake's pulled out and we get some blood in our system."
Her grip tightened on the weapon, hovering it over her heart "If I lose control, you need to do it."

"Back before the Multiverse collapsed, most Vampires stayed hidden from all cities. Had their own underground society. So did we. Then, of course. The apocalypse happened and everything went out the damn window. It's a long story. Centuries long."
He glanced over his shoulder at her "Then again, you've got centuries to spare." He let out a light laugh, then frowned "Oh, sorry. Just a bit of Masquerade banter. Didn't mean any offence."

Alva Bòideach: The Citadel Presidium (Gladius-I)
Alva tilted her head slightly, looking at the Automated American as her body started to make scraping and humming noises. They were easy to recognise and filled the girl with concern. She wouldn't even know where to get Torgo repaired if she'd taken a hit. Back in her own universe it was simple enough, but that was gone. There had to be something she could do for her, but for now she'd settle on getting the purchase over and done with as Torgo claimed that would help things.
"Yeah, is is." Alva smiled "Thanks for being patient. Are there any extra terms and conditions I should know about? Just before I sign off on this."
Even if she was do this to help, she wanted to know what she was getting herself into. She'd been screwed over before by not reading the fine print.

Sheeva managed to catch up and Alva used her left hand to gently stroke her head.
"Shh." She whispered, looking down at the cat "We're almost through this."

Oliver kept his attention on the soldier and the clown. Willy dropped a bombshell, and Oliver's face turned into a look of worry. He wasn't even hiding it anymore. First time in outer space and not only had he nearly been killed, but now there was a good chance he, Alva and Sheeva would die in the cold vacuum. Even if he managed to get a suit for each and every one of them there was a good chance Alva's body would go into shock and shut down.
"Let's just hope it don't come to that." He wore a fake smile "Bound to be a part on this station that's sealed off in the event of such things. Worst comes to it, we jump in a escape pod or something."

He gave a heavy shrug
"I'll be blunt. I don't know much about space stations, let alone this one. I was always grounded on Earth, with the occasional mission taking me to other dimensions or planets. Sure, I had to deal with aliens a couple 'a times and even got abducted once but that ship was still on Earth." He looked up the dark tunnel, watching Alva and then turned his gaze back to their new companions "And even then, they let me go after I taught them how to play football." He chuckled, shaking his head and frowning.

"And you." He pointed at Seven "I get it. Never leave a soldier behind. I respect that. But we can't just wait around. Pop a few messages his way and see what comes up. If he doesn't reply, I'd assume the worst."

Rodgers dropped back down into the sewer, scanning the area. The first thing he noticed was the Nameless One. He could barely stand, having sustained Lord know what kind of injuries from the alien's blade. He sprinted to the side of his wounded man, but locked eyes with the EMT.
"Everyone's safe. They're with the village doctor and the town guards. We'll need to answer some of their questions when we get out of here." He spoke as clearly as he could, then looked back down at the Nameless One. Steve hoped his explanation meant he wouldn't get kicked down into the mud for trying to help again, especially with a man down.

"You're okay, soldier. You're okay." He softly picked him up with ease, allowing him to rest on Steve's shoulder "Let's get you topside so the doctor can look at your injuries. You're gonna be fine."
"Down there!" A voice shouted from above.
Wanting to avoid unnecessary conflict, Steve raised a hand at his companions "It's okay. It's just the guards. They're on our side."

Jay: The Walkway, The Tavern of Worlds, Gladius II

Jay woke up to the sound of a loud beeping sound as a heavy object reversed. It felt like her brain was trying to jump out of her skull and as she hazily took in her surrounds, she found herself in a dumpster that floated.
"Life-sign detected. Cancelling incineration. Have a splendid day." A friendly robotic voice announced

A hangover, waking up in a strange place and being a saved from death by sheer chance in her stupor. A typical morning then.
"Goddess." She groaned, rubbing her head
"Please vacate the dumpster to avoid the risk of incineration."
"Uh. I'm getting up. Just, gimme five more minutes."
"Starting incineration in t-minus one minute."
"Oh, screw you."

Pushing herself up, Jay fell out of the dumpster and hit her head against the pavement. She lay there until there was a rumbling sound from inside the lime green and smelly coffin.
"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Her voice was muffled for she still lay face down
"I don't know what you're talking about. Have a splendid day." With that, the dumpster took off, it's interior still burning.

The Asari flipped the bird and pushed herself to her feet, stumbling down the walkway. She cracked her neck and groaned once more, fighting a hangover that would probably stop a Celestial in it's tracks and trying to command her unwilling body to move. Resting her hand against a door, she stepped inside of a building to find it empty.
Most of the shops were open all day and week. Was the owner at the bathroom?

That was when part of her vision cleared and she realised where she was: Love in the Apocalypse.

-
Inside the room with CJ, Karen raised a hand "If you would kindly wait here for just a minute. Another customer has just walked through the door and we're a bit short today. I won't be a moment. Before CJ could cut her off, the Krogan turned and ran out the door. It was too late for Jay to make an escape, as the overbearing Krogan seemingly teleported behind her to block the exit.
The Asari let out a yell and almost blasted her with a biotic punch.

"Can I help you with anything? Are you looking for a date for tonight? A life partner? There are plenty of other immoral beings already registered with the agency. One of them is bound to be your ideal partner."
"Leave me alone, Karen. I'm really not feeling this."
"Don't sell yourself short. Here at Love in the Apocalypse we know there's someone for everyone." She beamed.

With the door to the room still swinging, CJ could easily hear the conversation.

"Any signal would get scrambled by the fallout above us. My last transmission I'm not even sure if she heard. If we find a server room down here, Boss can obtain a layout of the station and determine where we are. Three is going to be fine." It was a rather short fragmentation of multiple statements addressed to multiple people. The 'Clown' wasn't helping her already irritated state. As for Three, however, the Spartans were still connected over the E-Band, despite being out of range. If an acknowledgement did come through, that could mean either she or Three had made it out of the fallout zone safely. Besides, as tried and true as it was, it took a lot to kill a Spartan. Samus continued to walk forward, scanning the area around them as she spoke again. "If this is a matinance tunnel for a space station, then I'm certain at the next junction there will be equipment to survive a spacewalk. Boss kept sending out both searching tones over the E-Band as well as attempting to contact Three's HUD to display a shared helmet camera along with a NavPoint. He grunted and sighed, then spoke over Samus's external speakers. "Waiting won't get us anywhere, so I'd suggest we move forward. We're going to be fine."

Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi: Diamond City, Badlands (Gladius IV)

Well this was, at the least, highly irregular. While it was likely that the Fusionist was simply just assuring the Austrian stance in the Doctrinal Conflict as opposed to the Warlord's stance, Messier spoke against enslavement of her or murder. Giuseppe's eyes widened, twinkling as she stared at the Fusionist, as she placed her hand upon Verdi's shoulder. It was becoming clear that unlike the others it was really, really likely Messier had human blood in her veins as opposed to just savagery.

Sniffling, while trying ineptly to reach towards her watering eyes and frowning while realizing that task was not to happen, Giuseppe turned her attention towards the Fusionist. "I know right?! T-they just wanted to see me suffer! No one offered even the slightest help against that spooky icky, evil, evil bug with the pinchy bits! They don't have any sympathy like, like you do..." Glancing upwards in introspection to the skies, Verdi took out a deep sigh.

It was time. Verdi had to share the story of the horrors of the Germans upon the Italians.

"It is -" Verdi bit at her lips, while taking a large gulp. Her eyes continued to water while Verdi began blinking furiously to fight back the tears. " F-forgive me; it is a long tale my people ha-ave suffered through."

"Long, long ago, far before even I was a glimmer in my father's eye - during the early ages of Kings - The Austrians had exerted dominion over my people, taking advantage of the tragic collapse of the Roman People. Cruel and callous were those creatures, they took all of the great minds of Italy, all of our artists, our scientists and so on and forcefully kept them in Austria to serve like a beast would serve in the field. Any form of self-expression, of pride in our people, was to be stomped out. All of the cities of Italy had to pay tribute and bend the knee to the Austrian King. D-do you know what it is like to have your entire people, your heritage denied, all to the whims of tyrants that only seek your unfettered obedience?"

"But we would not go gently into servitude; throughout this period we would form orders to resist against the Austrian Menace. But time and time again we found ourselves crushed beneath Austria. And this only incurred their wrath, as they installed more corrupt policies, took even more of our people and continued to try to grind the name of the Italian people into the memories of the past. But try as they might, they could not stop our heroic resolve to control our own destiny."

"I was born into that system of cruelty to a pair of illiterate peasants. We had nothing but meager and rotting grains to subsist upon, as all of our true grains were stolen by the Austrian to fill their insatiable appetite. My parents, they, they would give up part of their own food so that I could survive. Day in and day out was a struggle to survive - but I tapped into my spirit, and that of my family lineage to know that we Italians would go on. It was then I knew what my task was to be, I needed to be a voice for the voiceless - so my parents on the threat of death were able to smuggle enough resources so that I could attend school. There I learned of the true power of music. It was a thing that everyone could rally behind; music left a powerful resonating message to all and it was not one that could be easily censored. So I studied, I studied long and hard in order to become a great composer so I could give the world the message it needed to hear; a message I had learned as a starving and unwanted peasant on the fringes of society. The message of freedom, a message Germans would not and could not tolerate."

"And so I performed great operas to inspire the people of Italy, to be brave enough to rally around His Majesty Victor Emmanuel the Second of his name, and fight for the freedom we all yearned for. We were to finally throw off the shackles of Austrian rule. But - there is always a cost. I found myself locked away in a horrid dungeon, tormented by a foul German who I knew twisted the ways of music. There I was stuck in darkness and only darkness to the horrific tunes of twisted and melancholic brass and wood-winds."

"It took ages, but eventually I obtained my freedom and escaped. I swore from that day on that the message of revolution would be loudly proclaimed and that the Austrian Menace would be stopped from ever inflicting horrors they have upon anyone else." Verdi let out a soft chuckle, fighting back more tears as she began slowly eying between Cait, Harry, Solution and 6O.

"But I guess I haven't been able to do a good job now, have I?" Verdi looked down and let out a sigh before turning to Messier "These Germanics still keep their cruel frameworks in place and practice the same vile practices. At least, at least I can confide to someone who doesn't want to follow their doctrine. Thank you."

King: Higgins’ Hell, The Badlands (Gladius-IV)

King raised his fists to the crowd to bask in their adoration, sparing a moment to offer some condescending clapping to the still very much out of it Tutty as he was escorted out the ring, all while resting his back on the ring corner still. Taking one last puff of his cigar and casually flicking the remains away from the ring, he turned his attention to his new challenger. "Don't bet if you're not willing to lose, buddy. And since I'm offering advice for free, you really should train your body evenly for better results", he said with the biggest shit-eating grin, just barely loud enough for this Franco Cash guy and maybe some of the folks near the ring to hear. Still, for the moment he did step away from the ropes, though his hands did remain low as he took a safe distance once again.

Carefully, with an exceedingly practiced eye, he took stock of his opponent. His footwork, his rhythm, any indication of an offensive burst and reading just how far he'd be able to reach if he were to take the lead. Bouncing footwork is a way to stay mobile, especially when it comes to long, deep lunges as it can be used to hide tells that become glaring in more static stances. But, like everything, it has its disadvantages. The Turk continued his circling retreat around the ring, making sure to stay just outside the very edge of engagement reach, but this time he finally took the initiative. Stepping in deep to a cue known only to him, he closed the distance between himself a Franklin in the blink of an eye and was soon right on top of his new enemy.

King and Franklin were now chest to chest. The Turk, the taller man, was pressing his shoulder up and against his adversary's chin, making sure to keep his own head well on the outside and clear out of harm's way and using it to push at the opponent's head as well to further annoy and keep it locked in place. King's hands had clamped down on Franklin's arms, not in a fixed clawing hold but shifting as needed, making sure to push at the biceps and or pulling down at the wrists and forearms depending on mister Clash's own movements. It was a stifling, exceedingly annoying clinch, one that sacrificed much in the way of offensive options for control, and the Turk slowly walked his adversary back into a corner with it.

"Right then! I'm not much for wrestling but the best way to deal with kickers is not giving them room to kick!", he blurted out through some of the strain of holding back his opponent. It helped that by putting their back against the ropes he had squared out their stance and put their base right down under them, making any kind of explosive movement or transfer of power rather more difficult on their part. This, though, should be extremely obvious to anyone with some fistic experience, even just the general idea of "corner bad, stay out" if they didn't grasp the mechanics. "And the thing about bouncing footwork is, you visibly give away your own rhythm! You can get caught in those moments you're flat footed if you're not careful!".

TORGO - CITADEL, MAINTENANCE TUNNELS

Torgo likely would have sighed, assuming she was capable of sighing, at the (pending) Master's need to endlessly stall the transaction. Torgo was not programmed with the capacity for denial play. She spoke as the party continued their walk.

"Torgo questions if the (pending) Master has any sense of adventure, but will comply. By leasing this gynoid model, the purchaser agrees that Sanada Electronics, Ltd. will not be held liable for damages, wholly or in part, resulting from or related to: Poltergeists, rogue glaciers, meteorites, assassins from alternate timelines, unannounced shifts in setting..."

The soft scraping noise grew louder as the light from the end of the tunnel began to dim.

"...Sudden changes in weather, planetary obliteration, noncompliance with asimov ordinances, cursed bloodlines..."

The scraping noise was joined by low-pitched humming that gradually rose and fell in volume, not unlike an old-fashioned washing machine. Something was definitely approaching from the edge of the corridor, but the worsening lighting left the impression that it was just an approaching wave of darkness consuming the maintainance shaft.

"...derailed locomotives, master thieves, missing couch cushion money, alien parasites, going beyond the time, and bad puns. This concludes the purchase waiver."

Torgo casually placed a hand on the enormous metal boulder that now filled the full circumference of the corridor. She gave a brief double take as the roboulder began to chirp angrily.

"...Oh, it's just you, Harold."

The surface of the maintenance machine rippled slightly, flashed red, and repulsed Torgo from it's surface at approximately two hundred miles per hour, denting the wall at the far curve of the corridor with the back of Torgo's head and cracking an access panel.

Moving in the opposite direction, it seemed, would be an excellent option. Preferably at high speeds.

Higgins Hell: King's Open Challenge! Fight 2 - King vs Franklin Clash! Badlands (Gladius IV)

King had done something which was both quite sensible, but also quite notorious. He had engaged Franklin Clash in a clinch, a standing clinch mind you which was a more impressive feat than a non-ground based clinch. Franklin Clash was struggling against the superior upperbody strength of his foe, while the crowd was struggling to find a reason to cheer. There were a few who were eagerly watching the clinch game, such as the Town Elder, as they appreciated the intricacies to be found in fighting. After all there were different tastes to everything in life.

But in an underground illegal fight club?

People liked to see blood. The crowd was used to seeing displays of fighters giving no concerns for a clinch game like this, fighters who would react recklessly, dangerously, or if they were going for the "wet blanket" strategy they were trying to make the foe pass out. King, was not doing that as could be seen by Franklin's slight, but still distinctive, movements trying to escape the corner. But there was no escape; there was only the grasp of death by a man who was giving no mercy, by ironically showing mercy and not battering him. This display was causing ludicrous jeers and very succinct insults to the pair who were in the ring. A few were even throwing bottles in an attempt to hit them; but fortunately as they were inebriated their game appeared to be off. The floor would need to be cleared after this match resolved.

The Town Elder groaned, disappointed he would have to act soon. He turned towards the crowd, "STOP THROWING BOTTLES! THE FIGHT IS SACRED; EVEN IF IT BORES YOU! ...I'LL PULL EM OFF SO-" Another bottle was thrown into the ring by a weaselly looking man, causing the Elder to stare at him irate before the elder gave a nod towards another smaller minotaur who grabbed the man by his scruff and began to escort him out.

In this veritable powder-keg; Franklin Clash found the inspiration, nay the goal, to prove that he didn't need the upper body. All he needed were his legs; and as such he began throwing short (as he didn't have room to operate) little kicks, interspersed with even shorter knee attempts, at King in order to try to get him to release the clinch.

Throughout the entirety of Verdi's speech, Operator 6O had to clench her fist tighter and tighter.

Why?

Because that was honestly one of the saddest stories that she had ever heard, and there were plenty of tragic stories floating around since the Machine War started. She couldn't help it, she was feeling pretty terrible, yet she knew she shouldn't. Even if it didn't completely justify the attack, even if she knew it had to all just be memories implanted by the aliens, even if she knew that story was factually impossible given the Data available to her, it still made her feel like crying.

Thankfully her model didn't have external equipment like tear ducts... But that didn't mean she didn't want them at that very moment!

"I-I knew it," she said with her conviction stifled a bit by the sadness still present in her voice "it really was just a misunderstanding."

Even without tears trailing down her face, Operator 6O still wiped at her eyes as if they were. Leaning down a bit, she unhooked the little fabric situated around her lower face and pulled it off before looking to Verdi. She needed to be back on the Moon, they all did. Not crammed into this prison with altered minds and bodies.

"I promise, I'll do everything in my power to make sure this ruling is as fair and well-informed as it can be!" she declared before standing up and glancing behind her "Unlike some people!"

Still crouched beside the bodies, Jesus waved off her implications, "I'll let you all have your little trial, so keep me squarely out of it!"

Shaking her head, Operator 6O turned back while pulling the dark fabric back around her lower face and situating it properly again.

His grip on his blade tightening and relaxing as he readied for an attack he knew had to have been coming. But then he noticed something else, the heavy stomps of something else traveling near them. It couldn't have been the source of that feeling of being watched... could it have been? No, it was far too obvious.

He wasn't the only one to notice them, as Daisuke was quick to point out that whatever it was couldn't have been what was hunting them.

So it was either another resident or something else that had been brought there like the rest of them. Both of those options were dangerous, with the latter being less so. Sir Alonne followed Daisuke's gaze to a patch of woodlands nearby where several large figures seemed to be traveling. Were those... more automatons? They seemed to be of different construction compared to Cooper's.

As Daisuke immediately moved to hide, Sir Alonne turned to call out to the rest of their group.

He didn't get a word out before something rushing from the trees caught his attention. Sword raised immediately, Sir Alonne twisted to spot... something making a mad dash for Daisuke. The young lady, Penny, had made her move first. A blade which she seemed to have spawned directly from her back was thrown towards the creature to intercept it.

"Cover each other in case more show up!"
Sir Alonne called to the others before quickly leaping, his feet seeming to glide over the ground as he darted to a better position. He couldn't use any of his blade's long-raged slashes, there was no doubt that Daisuke and Penny would be caught in it as well given their relative position. Instead, he moved to get a better attack angle, attention still given to their surroundings. Those odd automatons were still a factor.

Venkman: The Western Graveyard, The Badlands (Gladius-IV)
So Damphirs didn't get all of the perks, it seemed. A longer lifespan, yes not not full immortality. It reminded him of Changelings a little, who were said to live much longer than humans, even centuries longer. That was, if they could reach that age. If he didn't have his two hands on the handlebars, the Mage would've been furiously taking jotting down notes.
Mental notes would have to do for now.

"As I'm sure you're aware, immortality can get very lonely. I can't speak for myself but the Vampires I know, well. None of them are happy."
A lie, but those he'd found that were happy weren't good examples. Most of them were crazy or had adopted less than healthy techniques for coping, leading to outrageous lifestyle choices. Alcohol, sex, drugs and murder.
None of them were a good way to live one's life.

"And even if you stop ageing, you can't keep the reaper away forever. Gets us all in the end. Nothing and nobody chooses their time. A mountain thinks it'll see eternity, but it succumbs to rain."
The Greenstone belt had gone when South Africa was devoured by the hunger. Nearly four billion years old and wiped away in an instant. The dinosaurs had the meteor, Atlantis had the Exarchs and modern civilisation had the hunger.
Life continued after every single one. Mages, although few and far between had outlasted the great hunger and built a civilisation on a barren planet far from the eyes of Sleepers.
If the Great Hunger was another meteor, life would continue long after it.

"Life continues without you regardless of what you do. One day, my country will succumb to something but that doesn't mean Mages won't continue. We've survived two apocalyptic events and a war that you could say was on the scale of one."
He glanced back at her once more, and smiled.
"But that's no reason to be upset. You just focus on what you do here and now and eventually you'll forget about your own mortality. That's the way I see it. When it comes, it'll be quick, surprising and painless."
Hopefully painless. If none suffered in life and in death then Venkman would have no reason to go to the graveyard in the first place.

Dad jokes in particular were classified as a grave threat, and for good reason. While reflecting on her past missions, Alva noticed the tunnel darkening as something started to fill it.
"We should..." Before she could get another word out, Torgo had already rested a hand on it and the Automated American was launched down the tunnel.
"Torgo!" Alva yelled
"Alright, everybody out! Now!" Oliver shouted, pushing Alva down the tunnel ahead of him. She grabbed him by the arm, trailing him along as they tried to outrun Harold's wrath.

"Yeah, it's like taking out one super mutant in a populated area with a mini-nuke. Only an asshole with no regard for collateral damage would do that."

He glanced back at Verdi. Her story would have touched him years ago, but the wasteland and everything that had happened since he woke up had made him cold. That, and her being tied to the deaths of a few citizens didn't help either. She talked about some real-world history, long before the bombs but her outfit and equipment didn't match the era. Perhaps she was from some kind of alternate world, or perhaps she was just that crazy.
"We're not these Germans you keep talking about. After all, I'm speaking English. I'm..."

Would the word American even mean anything to her? Given the era it would probably only make her more confused.
"I'm from Britannia. And my friend here is from Ireland. The people you were trying to hurt weren't Germans. Never were. They'd suffered at the hands of savages, like the ones you're talking about and this city was meant to provide a safe haven from that kind of shit. There were a few cities like this but..."

He'd held onto to Sanctuary as long as he could, but it had been no use.
"Most of them are gone now. Picked apart by something horrible. Worse than the savages if you could believe that."

He looked at the others, but especially to Operator and Messier who were defending the musician.

"People are dead. Someone has to answer for that. Now, all fingers point to her but there are a few things not adding up. She attacked with an army that was on fire but the burns on all of those bodies match that of a laser rifle. Then there's the fact that most of them were shot up. Bullet holes. So, she had someone helping her, which is highly unlikely or someone took advantage of her attack in order to kill people. I intend to find out who."

As Torgo rattled off more business jargon that Samus couldn't care less about, the next second was met with a high-intensity jolt as she found herself reflexively snapping into a combat stance. Whatever the hell was down there had evaded her motion sensor by staying still. Until now, that is. "Boss, we need a route!" 'On it, hang tight!' Her AI companion screeched as she turned around and bee-lined it to a very obviously imprinted Torgo. One-handing her MA5B and leveling it at the threat with her right hand, she used her left to grab onto the machine's chassis with her left and give a series of 'gentle' tugs. The last thing she wanted to do was to rip the exterior shell off the machine by complete accident. She was hoping that Alva was right beside her- the sooner they got the embedded and hapless mechanoid out of the wall, the better. Boss, meanwhile, was frantic in his attempts to locate a safe alternative exit for the group; knowing that the longer they stayed here, the risk of fatality increased.

"Oh, well in that case..." Kazumi glanced back at the group and made a swiping motion then back at the agent. "We'll all take the Indian Guy's Scouting Mission then. Seems fairly important anyway." He said, raising a thumbs up as he soon told the group to follow him onto an elevator, going down onto the lower hangar. As the elevator slowly descends, Gentoku was the first one to break the silence.

"So, what are we looking for this Indian scientist?" Gentoku asked, stroking his beard, wanting to know some things before heading out. "And what can you tell us about him?"
"I'm not sure. He was vague in his message." Stevenson shook his head "He says he's found something and needs our help. Here, have a listen."
He pressed a button on the tablet.

"Hello. This is Professor Vihaan Opti." His voice was shaky "Um, I am requesting aid from SECIELD for a matter most urgent. I...I need extraction. I have uncovered something. I cannot trust anyone in India, so I am coming to you. Please. I-I have top secret information relating to Indian operations. I will hand these over in return for my safety. Please."
"Rest of the message is coordinates. You three will be flying there to scout the area."
He let out a heavy sigh "It's just outside of India's border, so please be careful. I don't want any of you getting hurt or causing a diplomatic incident with India. Gandhi is in the middle of a ceasefire with Xing so tensions are going to be high."

The doors opened and Stevenson stepped out.
"Last chance. Once you set foot on that Quinjet, there's no walking away from this."

The hangar bay was massive, with five Hellicarriers in total and walkways to and between each. There was a part of bay that lay empty, for the missing Helicarrier that had gone down in the Eastern Sea.
In the middle however was something that stood out, another Helicarrier that was different from the others and still had a crew working on it. It was far larger, taking up the space needed for two or perhaps even four of it's smaller brothers and the firepower was a marvel, with huge cannons on each side.
"She's not air capable yet, but will be in the next few days I think. I call her the ex-wife as it sounds more suitable that Helicarrier Dreadnought." He smirked at the group.

Beneath the carriers were a fleet of Quinjets, coming and going as doors at the edge of the hangar bay let out into the unforgiving planet.

"A few, but not much." Woz' response, "But perhaps enough to conjure the Ridewatch II."

"Ridewatch...2?"

"The power that you inherited from Oma Zi-O."

"Oh." Sougo nodded, soon noting the conversation that the King is having with the horned child. "Hey Woz, think we can watch over her too?" He turned to his herald, reading his book.

"Against our better judgement...It appears that she could be under our care anyways." Woz, closed the book with a clap, "According to this book, that is." He glanced at Sougo as the herald walked over towards the King. "Your majesty, might I suggest allowing us to accommodate the same place as the young miss Kobayashi? It would save you some space for having my lord's company and the helpless child occupying different living quarters."
Doom looked to the two, then to the child.
"Is that what you want?" He asked her "It would be your decision, at least until we could find a suitable family for adoption. From there, you would have to go to school."

The Youngblood had not expected Penny's attack, his rashful nature portraying itself as the blade struck him in the shoulder. Daiskuke had ducked out of the way, giving Alonne a clear shot as his blade sliced into the Youngblood just as the Yautja tried to draw back. It cut across his chest and green, glowing blood ran into the jungle below.

The Youngblood made a break for the trees, his blood covering a few plants as he tried to make a getaway. He would be disgraced by his clan and likely exiled, but he would still be alive.
From up in the trees, the invisible Yautja, still cloaked and hidden watched. The Elder's eyes followed the fleeing Youngblood, then turned to the marines. Their loud armour made them easy to spot but due to it's layers they would not make for easy prey. The Yautja that stood by her side had learned their lesson and none attempted to jump down, to do on the offensive against the new prey.

With the hunter fleeting, Daiskuke looked to his unlikely protectors and smiled
"Thank you. But what about them?"
He pointed to incoming Space Marines, who had their weapons drawn and were ordering the group to drop their arms.

"Yes, boss. I'm at the place. Yep. Oh, I dunno. He don't look like a lilly-livered...I didn't even catch the rest of that to be honest.

He pulled the phone away from his ear as his boss yelled down it about galoots or something of the sort. He waited until he boss was finished ranting, which took a few minutes and then put the phone back to his ear.
"If I enter that ring he'll kill me. Oh yeah."
He went white "Okay, I'll do it."

As soon as Sir Alonne prepared to strike again, the wounded creature fled quickly into the surrounding foliage. It was humanoid, with leathery skin covered by extremely sparse armor. Save for a metallic helmet it sported, it's attire surely contributed to the speed with which it fled.

Daisuke thanked both him and Penny, but was quick to draw attention to the Automatons that now seemed to be angling weapons towards them. One of them spoke, but not in the same way BT did. Sir Alonne looked back to where the creature had fled, seeing its odd blood somewhat marking its path. He then turned his attention u towards where it had descended from, the treetops. It would seem his assumption had been correct. There was a chance that it had been yet another, more violent combatant that had been drawn to this planet, but if it truly were one of the 'hunters' Daisuke spoke of...

A subtle feeling interrupted this line of thought, and Sir Alonne looked down to his sword. Already the odd blood which now adorned his blade was disappearing as the blade fed on upon it. Before it could drink it all, Sir Alonne reached to it with his free hand and wiped some of it away. He brought the green substance up for closer inspection, letting his blade enjoy the rest of its meal as he sniffed at the blood. He committed as many details of the blood to memory as he could, taking the moment to adjust to the heightened pressure of the Nagamaki's blood lust. It was nowhere enough blood for the Nagamaki's true potential to be known, but the mere taste had brought its hunger to greater heights.

After a deep breath, he rubbed the remaining blood upon the ground as he finally turned his attention to the Automatons.

"More warriors drawn here, I presume?" he looked up to the treeline once more "Unfortunately I cannot and shall not release this blade, that's a risk I refuse to take. If you have been spirited to this place like the rest of us, know now that an unseen group is hunting all of us for sport at this very moment. One may have just attempted to gore our companion here, so I shall not leave myself defenseless shall they attempt to do so again."
