Powers:

Silver Mimicry – Gita has the ability to turn her body into pure solid silver. This new body serves as a dermal armor and protects her from many things that would have hurt her otherwise.

Silver Manipulation – Gita is also able to manipulate and control silver. She can shape silver, including her own body when in her silver form, and she can also turn it into a liquid.

Weaknesses:

Heat – Intense heat will burn Gita in her silver form and she would become liquid, unable to solidify again despite her silver manipulation.

Moisture – A large amount of moisture in the air can cause the silver on Gita’s body to tarnish and rust. Rust will cause her to be much slower and if there is enough rust, she could even become paralyzed and unable to move in her silver form.

Pain – When using silver manipulation, Gita often has no other choice but to use silver from her own body. This is a painful process and because of this, she only uses her silver manipulation in dire circumstances or when she has another source. Also, if the silver on her body rusts, she will have to painfully remove the rusted or tarnished section and replace it with silver from another source such as a necklace or ring. It is extremely painful if a large amount of her body is rusted and she will either have to choose being in pain or not being able to move or go in her silver form.

Personality:

Gita is a very reserved girl. She is introverted, however, she is not shy and will tell someone like it is. She can be social but highly prefers being alone. She likes listening to people and she gets along with people very well. While she is an introvert, she is not an HSP (a highly sensitive person) and doesn't get very emotional. At the same time, she is not completely apathetic and emotionless but she hates self-pity and pity parties and does her best not to get overly annoyed by someone telling their entire life's story if it's a sad and pitiful one. She may be easygoing but she is not very passive and when in a heated argument, she can be a bit of a yeller if calmly raising her voice doing work, which she works on. Gita tends to be very introspective, often contemplating what to say or do or whether or not her opinion was needed. After the incident, she became much more solemn and serious and she does not smile as much. She often thinks about what she should have said or done or how she could have changed what she said to make it sound better and clearer.

Bio:

Gita was born to an upper class family living in Vermont. Her mother, Arielle, was a French businesswoman while her father, Rahul, was an Indian real estate flipper who bought houses, renovated them, and sold them for a profit. While it wasn’t easy, her father managed it and they were financially stable. She was a bit of an oddball at her school. She had dark skin with yellow undertones, she was short, she had glasses, and she smiled and laughed at everything while her school was rather serious and quiet and the students were mostly pale and taller than her. She excelled in her classes at her school and had many friends who were all different even if they looked similar. Her best friend was Wilhelmina, a Dutch girl whose parents had recently moved to Vermont. They were friends for quite a while since Gita’s school was a private school that had students from ages 6 – 16. She stayed in the school for quite some time and when the second semester was close to an end and it was her seventh year enrolled in the school, there was an incident on the premises where an older female student was assaulted and killed by one of the high school teachers. There were many police cars, sirens, and news reporters on the school grounds. Hearing of this horrible event and fearing for their growing daughter’s safety, her parents withdrew her from the school. She was 13 years old at the time. It was the beginning of a sad time for her, because she never saw Wilhelmina again. Not only that, her new school was much stranger than her old one and she felt like even more of an outcast. Gita had grown to be a quiet and thoughtfully polite girl who was long yet still short and enjoyed reading and drawing and still laughed at everything. But at her new school, it was always loud and busy, with mean girls, gossiping, and an atmosphere that felt like it was a high school in a movie. She once again excelled in her classes, but she wasn’t congratulated by her peers like her old school, but was instead mocked and criticized by mean girls who thought that a social life and being popular was all that they needed. They were a group of popular girls who went after Gita constantly, scorning and scoffing her. After the first year, she decided she would not let them get to her. She decided on using their antics against them and sticking up for herself more against the bullies. She did just this and they just kept on doing it. The year of junior prom had come and she went by herself. Her friends commended her for her courage of going alone since others would probably mock her, including the group of girls. But they were not at the prom, so she just assumed they had other important things to do. They were not there the next week or any weeks after that. After a month of not seeing them, she asked one of her friends why they hadn’t shown up and she said that they were expelled from school. She went on with a peaceful semester until she was assaulted by a fellow student who had become drunk at an end-of-the-year party that was taking place at the house of one of the new popular girls that she had become acquainted to. After this incident, she called the police and they were both taken to court. The guy who assaulted her was pleaded not guilty and was convicted of perjury and was sentenced to prison. Gita became traumatized by the incident and became much more solemn. Her friends cheered her up a bit more, but the thought of the assault randomly appeared in her mind. She later on developed her powers after she accidentally malformed one of her mother’s sterling silver rings when she touched it. She became able to protect herself from her skin literally turning silver and she was not able to feel as much pain. Her mother, completely unaware of what had happened, asked if her ring had been near heat recently and she explained what she was able to do to her mother. Her mother had been hearing talk of mutants lately, but simply thought of it as strange, untruthful gossip. She believed in it with another incident of Gita’s powers that she witnessed when her skin turned to silver again. She searched for a place that could help her daughter to control her powers and not mess up all of her jewelry. She enrolled her daughter in Mutant Academy.

Other:

Gita knows a little Hindi and French, but not enough to carry on a conversation in either language. She has never dated and was traumatized by the incident.

Accepted!

Thanks. Hopefully our charecters can become friends, I think Gita's personality could really work wonders on Joseph's God complex.

Not to mention they could both practice their powers together relatively easily.

Gita could teach Joseph how to morph to an extent and Joseph could help Gita to learn the limitations of her silver. (He's a good test dummy)
