The Kingdom of Ysoria, known for its refined traditions, is hosting a remarkable event: the Heartbound Invitation. Thirty-five individuals from all walks of life have been chosen to come to the royal palace, all of them selected by the two heirs to the throne for a chance at winning their affection. The royals, each looking for something real in a future partner, have extended the invitation with one intention in mind: to find someone who stands out, not for their status, but for who they truly are.
The participants, whether eager for love or lured by ambition, have no idea what awaits them in the heart of Ysoria.
Once inside the palace, the competition begins in earnest. Each week, the chosen ones will take part in various events designed to showcase their talents, personalities, and values.
From formal banquets to intimate gatherings, artistic challenges to adventure-filled excursions, the royals will watch closely, looking for those who have the strength, creativity, and authenticity that might make them the right match. Friendships will form, rivalries will emerge, and everyone will have to navigate the delicate balance between strategy and sincerity.
In this high-stakes setting, every decision counts. Yet, beneath the glittering surface, not everything is as it seems. While the royals carry the weight of duty, they also long for something deeper—something that goes beyond the title and the expectations placed upon them. As the days pass, the lines between genuine connection and carefully calculated moves become harder to distinguish. In the end, when it’s time for one to be chosen, will love be a product of true connection, or will the pressure of the palace make the decision more complicated than it seems?
ᴛʜɪɴɢs ᴛᴏ ɴᴏᴛᴇ ғᴏʀ ʀᴏʟᴇᴘʟᴀʏ:
♡ LGBTQ+ is allowed, meaning the royals are allowed to be any gender, as well as the chosen ones.
♡ Everyone had been given a chance to come here, so don't act like you were forced, unless it was by family.
♡ There won't be actually 35 people, but if there is, great! The royals amount will increase depending on how many people we have, however not everyone is meant to win someone's attention. In the end of this all, it is expected that even those who lost will have a chance for marriage, since their spot in this event will cast them popular and actually noticed by other kingdoms.
♡ Abide by RPNation rules, this is a non-negotiable.
♡ This is highly inspired by The Selection series, however I didn't add the caste system, nor do you need to read the books to join. It is solely for the interest and plot. The roles available are either the royals, or one of the 35 chosen participants. The queen and king will be played as NPCs- the family's last name is Romanov, everyone being allowed to use them for certain scenes if really needed. Also, we'll be using anime-styled or picrew faceclaims because I vibe well with these more.
♡ Small troubles will arise besides the main plot, however this won't exactly be a fully long roleplay. In the Selection books, there ended up being a war with an unknown rogue group, ending up with some royals and contestants dead. If everyone wishes to proceed with something like this, then we can plot further in the ooc.

ᴀ ғᴇᴡ ᴇɴᴛɪᴄɪɴɢ ᴇᴠᴇɴᴛs:
Participants for the race of love from the royals will have chances to interact with his/her highness, as well as take part in mini games. A few to catch your interest are:
♡ Desert Baking! The visitors will prepare sweet treats for our royals, in hopes they take a liking to your style with the kitchen.
♡ Courtyard Run-Down! You'll be tasked with gathering a few flowers from what is given, and weave it into a bouquet for your royals.
♡ A Dance With The Duke! Contestants will be given time to dance with each of the heirs to get to know more about each other. This is only named as "Duke" for the effects. Get your dancing shoes on, and make sure to not trip over some toes.
♡ Archery Lessons! You'll be given five arrows to shoot five targets, while the prince/princesses/etc walk around. If you seem to be failing, one of the royals might help you out.
♡ Horse Riding! Quite literally race against your opponents by picking your own horse to hurdle past some obstacles. Winner gets to have a free horse ride with a specific heir.
ᴀᴄᴄᴇssɪʙʟᴇ ǫᴜᴇsᴛs:
Contestants are allowed to request the royals if they wish to do something together, such as walk around the palace as the sun sets, or perhaps walk out to the village for a day out. If a royal is occupied, then the other participants may not bug the two. Feel free to have more than one accompany! If you wish to have someone add a secret murder out of spite when needing to get a royal's attention, please PM me for the suspense of a good mystery plot twist. There will be scenes of the royals alone and the visitors alone, as each visitor is given a room in the palace with 3 of their own maids. Those maids will arrange dresses for you, and escort you to the other needed rooms. Your characters will also be given make overs first thing coming. Get ready!
