Gen's Flutter of Butterflies

I have a bunch of characters sitting in my Private Workshop, and I want to write with them. However, they are attached to their pretty code, so I don't want to put them in Google Docs so I can link it to my 1x1 search thread. Instead, I've decided to finally post my flutter of characters here so I can have a link to post!

Feel free to peruse my characters to your heart's content! I'm not really looking for feedback--this is more for a personal storage purpose that's more organized than my Private Workshop.

However, if, by chance, you find a character you'd want to roleplay against, feel free to message me!

Skylie Dyer
(The Favorite)

Skylie Dyer
(Avril Lavigne)
full

Basic Info

Full Name: Skylie Aveline Dyer

Nickname: Sky, Skittles, Rainbow, Rapunzel (by her father)

Age: 19

Birthday: November 15

Sign: Scorpio

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Religion: Methodist/United Methodist

Country of Origin: Canada

Reincarnation Of: Iris

Appearance

Hair Color: Dirty Blond

Eye Color: Dark Blue

Height: 5'1"

Weight: 110 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: Her Signature Scowl, Her Eyeliner

Personality

Personality:
Sass her, she'll sass you right back. Skylie is a live wire with a vendetta against the world. She's pessimistic, cynical, and makes sarcastic comments whenever she can. Her dry wit is often unmatched, and she's honest to a fault, as well as blunt. There is a permanent bored look on her face, a product of a boring life filled with boring people. Along with this honesty sits a deep-seated need to find real friendship, not some phony relationship like all the other teenagers in the world. If you encounter her when she's vulnerable, she'll lash out, unless you give her a reason to trust you.

Skylie's favorite type of music is rock, and due to this, she often sits in a corner, listening to Fall Out Boy or We the Kings. She's shut herself off from the rest of the world, opening up to pretty much no one. In spite of this, she's perfectly adept at surviving situations, and if give a good enough reason, she's capable of handing out logical advice given from an objective point of view. When alone, she paints. Unlike her wardrobe, these paintings are colorful, as if reflecting something deep inside her that she doesn't want anyone else to see. Only her art teachers have ever seen them; not even her family knows.

Love is very precious to her, as she hasn't had enough of it in her life. Unfortunately, this means she won't know it if she ever encounters it, and won't know how to handle it.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Being honest
■ Knowing the difference between clearly right and obviously wrong
■ Painting

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Doesn't have honesty filter
■ Her bluntness often seems harsh
■ Very sensitive to what people say to her

Quirks:
■ Will stand in the middle of a rain shower, face tilted toward the sky
■ Carries around Eiffel tower keychain
■ Will tell you what she's thinking, if you ask

Likes:
■ Painting
■ Rock Music
■ Staying Up Late
■ Rainbows

Dislikes:
■ Sports
■ Hip-Hop
■ Waking Up Early
■ Hurricanes/Tornadoes

Fear:
Skylie is deathly afraid of being alone for the rest of her life. The thought scares her so much that she will wake up in a cold sweat.

Desire:
Her most secret desire? Easy. Skylie someday hopes to see what's at the end of the rainbow. Okay, okay, she actually wants to find someone that will see her for who she is, and cherish her forever. (Yeah, it's cheesy. But can you blame her?)

Secret:
Skylie's boyfriend was very abusive. She never told anyone about how he'd beat her, and though they ended it, thanks to him losing interest, she still hasn't told anyone about it. She would rather not tell anyone, especially about the day he raped her when she tried to fight back.

History

History:
Unicorns and rainbows. From the day she was born, Skylie was expected to fit into a stereotypical girl archetype: in love with the color pink, obsessed with princesses, and a big fan of unicorns and rainbows. But that just wasn't her style. She liked wolves and foxes, as well as black. She scoffed at all things girly and refused to wear dresses and skirts no matter how much her parents begged. Her crown was a fedora given to her by her uncle, her kingdom the forest in her backyard.

Skylie's mother resented the fact that her daughter had no sense of fashion or even cared what she looked like. Her father, comparatively, always said, "I'm proud of you," and would ruffle her hair, causing her to give him a gap-toothed grin. She clearly favored her father, and so, her parents often fought about it. Dad would always say Mom was putting too much pressure on Skylie, while Mom would accuse Dad of brainwashing her into thinking that acting this way and never really making friends was acceptable.

When she was seven years old, her parents divorced, with her father taking custody of her. With the absence of his wife, everything fell into disarray, until he became prone to sitting in front of the TV with a beer in hand, mumbling at the TV as if it was the cause of all his problems. Skylie saw this, and realized her father didn't care about her anymore. With Mom not around, he had no reason to defend her. Saddened by this thought, she packed up her things and walked out the door at age nine, sick and tired of being ignored.

She lived on the streets for about four years, toughening herself on the outside while she built impenetrable walls around her heart. Instead of being simply a tomboy, she was a tomboy street urchin, willing to do anything to survive. Finally, at age thirteen, someone found her and told her that her father had died of alcohol poisoning, right on the couch where she'd left him. Of course, she'd seen this coming. It was only a matter of time. But now that she'd been found, she'd have to go with her mom.

Life there wasn't much better. Her mother ignored her, often pretending she didn't exist unless it was absolutely necessary. Skylie lived this way for three years, until the day she turned sixteen. It was around that time she got a boyfriend named Zared (stupid name). They went out for months until he broke it off suddenly, and she retreated into herself and began painting. Shutting herself off led her to become even more of an outcast than she already, and she's lost faith that she'll ever find anyone who will actually understand her.

Theme Song: "Because Of You" by Kelly Clarkson and "Rock Bottom" by Hailee Steinfeld ft. DNCE

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Rainbows
In especially humid weather, Skylie can make the water in the air form a rainbow, which, depending on what she asks them to, can be tangible or not. The tangible rainbows can be made into objects, but these only last a few hours at the most, or for a lot less time if they're out in the sun. Sometimes she can ask them to deliver messages for her.
Auras
Skylie can tell how a person's feeling by the colorful aura surrounding them. Certain colors correspond to certain emotions, but combinations are still a bit tricky for her. She chooses not to read too much into these auras that she sees, as she doesn't want to get too mixed up with people in general.

Drawbacks:
■ A lack of water source/water that is frozen cannot be formed into a rainbow.
■ If a lot of people occupy a room, their combined auras can give Skylie a bad migraine.

Skills:
Alto Saxophone
Skylie plays a mean alto saxophone, though she's never really sure what this ever has to do with anything.
Street Smarts
Living on the streets wasn't a complete waste. Skylie knows things about people and how to survive that normal ninteen-year-olds wouldn't know.
Speed/Agility
Her time on the streets also gave Skylie uncanny skill in anything gymnastic or speed-related. Even she's amazed when she does a backflip and sticks the landing.

Weapons:
Her rainbows, her fists, and her trusty daggers

Oliver Jarrell
(The Adorable Nerd)

Oliver Jarrell
(Dylan Everett)
full

Basic Info

Full Name: Oliver Emmett Jarrell

Nickname: Olly/Ollie

Age: 19

Birthday: July 5

Sign: Cancer

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Pansexual

Religion: Agnostic

Country of Origin: Australia

Reincarnation Of: Coeus

Appearance

Hair Color: Light Brownish Blond

Eye Color: Brown

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 130 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: A Book in His Hand, His Embarrassed Expression

Personality

Personality:
Oliver is a nerd, inside and out. He enjoys reading nonfiction and fiction alike, and especially loves discussing what he reads. Like any classic nerd, he loves Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, with a special fondness for games like Dungeons & Dragons. He is also a closet otaku, watching all genres of anime purely for the plot (but staying away from ecchi/hentai). His favorite book series is The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani and his favorite anime is Gosick. Besides books and anime, Oliver watches a plethora of films and documentaries, as he considers every sort of media something to learn from. He's not much for sports, but he knows the rules of many anyway. Should you ask him to play a sport, he'll probably be the first to come up with a winning strategy.

Despite being smart, Oliver isn't self-absorbed about it, nor does he showcase the signs of a genius. He's a little angel, being polite and nice to those he first meets, and caring and honest with those he's close to. Sometimes, he can be a little awkward, but with him, it's just endearing. Truth be told, he's a sweet boy and a great friend who is always willing to help somebody understand something. Physical affection may not come easy to him, but if he sees someone who needs comforting, he will gladly give them a hug or a pat on the shoulder. In an effort to understand people, Oliver reads all the psychology and philosophy he can, and has read many religious texts so as not to offend people. He knows about many cultures, and takes great care not to offend anyone from a different culture than his.

Oliver's favorite song is "Hallelujah" by any artist. The religious references intrigue him, as well as the emotion of the song. Sometimes he sings it to himself when he thinks no one can hear him.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Processing/retaining information on every subject
■ Explaining things in a way that makes sense to everyone
■ Solving problems, social or not/giving advice

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Can't handle large crowds
■ Finds it hard to talk to girls
■ Doesn't understand anything with romantic/sexual connotations

Quirks:
■ Carries a book with him everywhere
■ Leg bounces whenever he's thinking very hard
■ Makes comparisons between real life and fiction often

Likes:
■ Philosophy/Psychology
■ Mythology
■ Word/Logic/Number Puzzles
■ Pleasantly Warm, Sunny Days

Dislikes:
■ Liars/Bullies
■ His Stuttering Problem
■ Insults of Any Kind
■ Snow/Rain

Fear:
Oliver fears that he'll never be truly accepted by anyone.

Desire:
He hopes to be a well-respected writer and philosopher someday.

Secret:
He has mild anxiety and sometimes even depression. However, this does not really affect him in a monumental way. Most of the time.

History

History:
Oliver was born in Sydney, Australia, home of the famous Opera House and setting of at least part of Finding Nemo. To his parents, he was their little angel, with bright smiles and tugging on clothes to get attention. He was a smart boy, that much was obvious. From the moment he could talk, he tried to learn as many words as he could, and insisted on being read to every night so he could learn some more. By the time he was walking, he was exploring everywhere. He was precise with his building blocks and other toys, almost perfect. So by the time his fifth birthday rolled around, he was reading chapter books and asking all sorts of questions. His parents couldn't help but wonder if they had a genius in their midst.

Come school age, his parents decided to turn to homeschooling. They figured their little Olly would be bored reading things that he was obviously able to read already, and learning things he'd taught himself or asked about. His teachers were very impressed, and it wasn't long before they had Oliver take an IQ test. It confirmed that he was indeed a genius, and he was given an even higher level of education. Despite his new status, Oliver felt something was missing from his education. Yes, he liked his teachers well enough, but he felt lonely. So by the time he was fifteen, his parents decided to enroll him in high school.

Naturally, the other students were shocked that such a smart boy would want to go to a public school, but nonetheless, he made friends easily. He acted as a great tutor to anyone who didn't understand something from any subject. Most of the friends he made were nerdy like him, but even the more popular people respected him. Oliver was happy; he wasn't lonely anymore! Somehow he managed to balance friends and schoolwork, as well as other hobbies at his leisure. His parents were very proud of him.

About two years after he started public school, the most popular girl asked Oliver out. Of course, he had to ask her to explain what exactly this meant, but when he finally knew, he was shocked. Why would she ask him? He'd never spoken to her before, much less seen her except for brief glimpses in the hallway. Naturally, he said yes, because what other answer was there? And so began the cheesy story of the popular girl and the genius. It was awkward for a time, but eventually they got used to each other. Oliver would tell her satirical stories, and she'd complain to him about the atrocities her friends committed. She was even his first kiss. It wasn't as special as many books had led him to believe, but he supposed it was all right.

One day, she asked Oliver to meet him in the school gymnasium, saying she had a surprise for him. Wanting to be nice, Oliver found a flower for her, and hurried to meet her in the gym. All the lights were off, and when he called out, his own voice echoed back to him. The room was eerily empty. Suddenly, the lights turned on, revealing a good part of the student body sitting in the bleachers at the side, and a large bucket suspended over his head. It tipped over and dumped sewer water all over him. He was too shocked to really register it, until the water stopped coming and his girlfriend was standing in front of him with a smirk on her face. The flower in his hand was soggy, and he dropped it and ran.

Oliver had never been humiliated in all his life. His parents came home to him crying and soaking wet on the couch, and when they asked what was wrong, they immediately called the school's principal. It did little to dispel the shivers from his body. His entire first relationship had been nothing but a lie, simply a ploy to trick him and prank him, the genius. He begged to be taken out of the school, and he never saw the girl or his friends ever again. From then on, he was home-schooled again, and he tried to suppress his new mistrust of people.

He eventually earned his high school diploma, and worked on three degrees online. As of now, he has a master's in Psychology, and master's in Philosophy, and is working on a doctorate for both.

Theme Song: "Hallelujah" cover by Pentatonix

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Chilling Smile
Should Oliver be angered in some way, to an extreme level, he will smile in a way that will cause its intended target to freeze in their tracks. This will only work if he's extremely angered or if the person he's facing completely and rightly deserves such a retort. Sometimes, it only causes a slight shiver down the spine if the person in question is especially strong-willed.
Human Compass
Oliver can locate anyone if he concentrates hard enough. If he's provided with something the person touched, a sort of light in the shape of a chain leading from the object to the person will appear, and Olly can follow it to find the person in question. This really only works if he's provided with an object the person touched in the last twelve hours, or if he knows the person well.

Drawbacks:
■ The chilling smile will only work if he is truly angry, not frustrated or mildly annoyed.
■ Olly's compass power tends to be weak if he's not concentrating hard enough or if he's worried.

Skills:
Linguistic
Oliver knows practically every language. He doesn't know any specific dialects, but it's still an impressive repertoire.
Problem Solver/Advice Giver
Usually between people, Oliver can solve all sorts of problems, or at least give advice on how to fix them. But he's more about the logic problems.
Quick Calculator
Simply put, Oliver is a human calculator. And that doesn't just include math.

Weapons:
A rapier?
He's never really expressed interest in fighting

Ezekiel Wilson
(The Teddy Bear Mom Friend)

Ezekiel Wilson
(Dylan O'Brien)
full

Basic Info

Full Name: Ezekiel Carlisle Wilson

Nickname: Zeke, Zechariah (for some reason)

Age: 18

Birthday: March 3

Sign: Pisces

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Religion: Lutheran

Country of Origin: United States

Reincarnation Of: Perseus

Appearance

Hair Color: Dark Brown

Eye Color: Light Brown

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 152 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: Tall Body Frame

Personality

Personality:
Though he doesn’t show it very often, Ezekiel is a very cautious individual. He values safety in all his endeavors and will make sure the necessary safety measures are put in place before he does anything. This comes from having raises his youngest siblings alongside his mother and father; since he was in charge of the house for most of his life, he finds it hard to break the habits instilled in him.

Although he’s very safe, Zeke really does enjoy fun. He gets overly excited about amusement parks especially, often bouncing around and off the walls. Many say he inherited his hyperactivity from his siblings, which he doesn’t deny. Raising his siblings has also led Zeke to be incredibly caring and kind, often stopping to help strangers and friends alike simply because he can’t stand to see anyone go without help.

Above all, Zeke is affectionate. He really has no place to displace this affection without his siblings around, so he tends to express this affection with others. This has often made him seem quirky, though he most definitely means it when he says, “I love you” to someone.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Treating everyone with respect
■ Taking care of others
■ Hugs

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Real unsure how to handle anger
■ Overly protective sometimes
■ Very sensitive to references to youngest and oldest brothers

Quirks:
■ Wild and crazy ass hugs
■ Will scream "I LOVE YOU" to a friend from far away

Likes:
■ Siblings
■ Sunshine
■ Hugs
■ Swimming

Dislikes:
■ Thinking about Bryce
■ Fighting
■ Sadness
■ Reminders of Rowan

Fear:
Zeke is afraid he'll fail his family again and be responsible for someone else's death.

Desire:
Zeke wants to finally feel like his brother and girlfriend's blood is not on his hands, but he knows it is.

Secret:
Zeke has never told anyone, but Bryce actually killed Rowan in front of him. He did not wake up after it. He's never told anyone because he doesn't like to remember the look in her eye as he watched her die.

History

History:
Ezekiel Wilson was born the second oldest of eight siblings. Thankfully, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson had well-paying jobs, so they didn’t have trouble providing for all those mouths, but it also meant that they weren’t around as often as they would have liked. The role of caretaker fell to the oldest sibling, Bryce, but when he was eighteen, he abandoned the family and ran away. Zeke, who was twelve at the time, became the primary caretaker of his siblings. He couldn’t bring himself to leave them to fend for themselves.

Under his mothering, Zeke’s other six siblings (in birth order: Noel, Piper, Annabelle, Cole, Lucinda, and Joseph) flourished, and they looked up to their older brother with wide, awe-filled eyes. Zeke loved them all, and soon enough, they became his everything.

But that was when the worst year of his life began.

Following Zeke’s sixteenth birthday, the youngest sibling and the baby of the family, Joseph, disappeared. Being only four years old, he couldn’t have possibly wandered off—Zeke had taught him better than that. The other Wilson siblings searched everywhere, but they couldn’t find him. Finally, the police found Joseph, but it was tool late—he’d been found dead. Someone had kidnapped him and kept until they slit his throat and dropped him near the edge of town.

The Wilsons were completely devastated. Zeke blamed himself for his little brother’s death—if he’d been paying better attention, maybe he could have saved his baby brother. Noel and Piper said nonsense, there was nothing he could have done, but Zeke was mad at himself nonetheless. And now, his baby brother was gone.

His only solace was his girlfriend, Rowan, who didn’t say anything, but instead let him cry on her shoulder and sleep on her lap. Rowan was the sun in his thunderstorm of heartbreak over his baby brother, and he couldn’t have been more thankful to have her around. She understood his pain, especially as she was fond of the Wilson siblings as well, so she did everything in her power to comfort him.

And then she disappeared.

It was Joseph all over again. Zeke looked everywhere for Rowan, but she was nowhere to be found.

Then, out of nowhere, he was kidnapped himself.

When Zeke came to, having been knocked out, he found the face of his oldest brother, Bryce, sneering down at him. Behind Bryce was the mangled body of Rowan. Zeke choked on a sob and stared up his Bryce, whom he’d looked up to for the first twelve years of his life. Why would he do this? Bryce cackled and said it was all his fault—if Zeke hadn’t become such a perfect older brother and replaced him in everyone’s minds, he wouldn’t have had to kill Joseph and regain the attention he deserved as the oldest sibling.

Zeke was heartbroken. How could Bryce have killed his youngest brother and Rowan? What could have possessed him to turn to murder? As he tried to figure out his older brother, Bryce began approaching him with knife in hand. Zeke began fearing for his life. What would his siblings do without him? They’d be devastated! And his parents! What would they think?

But before Bryce could do anything, a team of police officers burst into the room. As Zeke found out later, someone had witnessed Bryce kidnap him, leading them to finding his current rundown apartment building, where he’d killed Joseph and tortured and killed Rowan.

The Wilson family, though relieved that Zeke was alive, couldn’t help but feel sorry for Rowan. She shouldn’t have been dragged into this in the first place. What was worse, their oldest brother was responsible! Lucinda, now the youngest with Joseph gone, cried the most out of everyone. She’d lost her brother, then her older sister figure, and now her oldest brother was in jail. She and Zeke grew closer through their grieving.

For a while, Zeke isolated himself. He simply could not believe that Bryce had done all this because of him. It made him feel awful to think that Joseph’s death really had been his fault. One by one, his siblings came into his room one day and climbed into his bed with him. Altogether, they cried for Joseph and Rowan and Bryce, and for themselves. They didn’t blame Zeke, they said, but Bryce, for not staying so they could love him just as much as they loved Zeke.

From then on, Zeke kept better watch on his family, so that he would never let them down again. Because no matter what his siblings said, Zeke knew deep down that it was all his fault. And the only way to keep anything from happening to his family ever again was to protect them.

Theme Song: "Safe and Sound" by The Civil Wars ft. Taylor Swift

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Shield
Zeke can gather energy to himself and become a human shield by hardening himself.
Reflection
Much like Perseus once used Medusa's reflection to defeat her, Zeke can reflect someone's powers or attack right back at them.

Drawbacks:
■ Zeke's hardening as a shield lasts for a very short time and can only take a certain level of attack.
■ Much like the shield, Zeke can only reflect a certain level of power.

Skills:
Caretaker
Zeke is a hella good caretaker. Comes from raising six (now five) siblings.
Comfort Police
Zeke is pretty good at comforting and calming down someone in most situations. Again, from raising a bunch of siblings.
Swimming
This is random, but Zeke really does like to swim. He's pretty good at it, too.

Weapons:
His body? Otherwise maybe a sword

He's the Sovereign Lord of the Nation

Personality:
Keaton loves himself more than anything else—and he won’t stop until everyone around him knows just how cool he is. As a result, he’s loud and outgoing, making a dramatic entrance whenever he goes anywhere. Such entrances are usually paired with an outburst that is nonsensical and ridiculous, two other adjectives that aptly describe Keaton.

Paired with this outrageous narcissism is a love of adventure. Keaton wants nothing more than to go on fantastic journeys that not only make him look good, but also provide a great deal of fun to laugh about later, especially since he hasn't seen enough of the world yet. This contributes to his love of parties. All Keaton really wants is to have a good time and not be bored.

Most see him as a selfish jerk, but despite popular belief, he’s quite fond of animals. Yes, he’s deathly terrified of jaguars (for...some reason), but most other animals enchant him. He wishes to care for all the animals of the world, especially llamas. (Even he doesn’t know why they’re his favorite.) Sometimes this inborn kindness manifests in his social interactions, but most of the time, Keaton tends to focus on himself.

There is a secret part of Keaton that wants to be genuine friends with everyone. He does think that he cares about others, but he's not sure how to go about it. So instead, he stays his ridiculous in the hopes that someone will want to look past the obviously beautiful face.

He's the Hippest Dude in All Creation

Past Life: (RTMK)
Emperor Kuzco was living the good life. Yeah, he was spoiled, but he got whatever he wanted! One day, when his adviser Yzma was caught doing his job again, he fired her. True, it might've been harsh, but nobody sits in his throne. She invited him to a dinner for them to make her peace, and sometime in the middle of it, he passed out. When he woke up, he was a llama! A peasant named Pacha helped him get back to the palace so he could reclaim his throne from Yzma. After a few adventures and near-death experiences, he finally got back, all the while having learned the value of friendship and kindness.

Later, he was sent to high school (ew) so that he could officially rule, and through a sheer miracle, he managed to graduate, even with all the curveballs the principal kept throwing his way...

History/Our World: (WDU/RTMK)
As a kid, Keaton always begged to be taken to the zoo. His fascination with animals was exhausting to his parents, but charming all the same. Though he was born to a well to do family, he wasn’t spoiled in the sense that people normally associate with the word. Rather, he was quite vain and obnoxious—but that didn’t mean he didn’t care.

Animals meant the world to little Keaton, especially the llamas. Staff at the zoo were always amused at the fascination he showed whenever he was with them, and the opposing fear he felt whenever he came close to the big cats. Panthers especially were terrifying to him.

One day, Keaton turned around to smile at his mother, a kind and honest woman who found his ridiculous antics adorable. But she was nowhere to be found. Panicked, Keaton ran around the zoo, calling for her with tears in his eyes. But she was gone.

The zoo staff attempted to calm him down and find his parents. But his mother and his father, for unexplained reasons, had packed up and abandoned their son at the zoo. Keaton was devastated to hear it, but it explained the look in his parents’ eye whenever they watched their son up to his usual shenanigans.

Keaton wasn’t entrusted to the foster care system, as one might expect. Rather, a member of the zoo staff, the woman normally in charge of caring for the llamas. He was instantly taken to her, mostly because she put up with his ridiculous behavior…and because of the llamas, of course.

As he grew older, people really couldn’t understand why he was so weird. Strangely, though, they began to see he wasn’t really that bad of a guy. Something about his oddness was amusing, and it drew people to him like magnets. Some girls thought him to be a jerk, but even they were won over by his incredible…oddity.

Keaton took on dancing, as it made his dramatic entrances far more dramatic. Jazz dancing was his specialty, and he took to it like the prized student he was. Deep down though, he kept the pain of his parents’ abandonment locked away. He feared it happening again, but this time with the many friends he’d made, as well as his adoptive mother.

Yet, he lives on, unable to stop caring for animals, and somehow finding it in him to care for others in the most indirect way possible.

History: (DLM)
Keaton remembers...

1. He had his own theme music.
Where did that ever go? He remembers dancing every morning bragging about being... what? Rich? A leader of some kind? He's really unsure on this one...

2. He was a...llama?
Okay, so maybe that's why he likes llamas? Weird. He doesn't remember how or why he was one, though. Some freaky magic? Does magic exist?

3. He made a friend.
The name "Pacha" comes with this memory, but that's all he can ascertain.

Theme Song: "I Don't Dance" from High School Musical 2

Avril Cavallon and Castiel Valdez
(The Kind Lily and the Flirtatious Spaniard)

  • Avril Cavallon
    (Hailee Steinfeld)
    full

    Basic Info

    Full Name: Avril Noelle Cavallon

    Nickname: Avie, Azucena (by Castiel)

    Age: 21

    Birthday: April 21

    Sign: Taurus

    Gender: Female

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Religion: Catholic

    Country of Origin: France

    Reincarnation Of: Harmonia

    Appearance

    Hair Color: Dark Brown

    Eye Color: Hazel

    Height: 5'8"

    Weight: 132 lbs

    Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: Her Smile, Her "A" Necklace from Her Father

    Personality

    Personality:
Avril is a natural mediator and peacemaker. She tends to listen to both sides before taking one, even if everyone around her believes that the opposition is in the wrong. Rarely does she jump to conclusions, but, rather, she listens to explanations and makes judgements based on those. As such, Avril is staunchly opposed to prejudice, and prefers to get to know someone before deciding what they're really like. Therefore, she's automatically kind to anyone she's meeting for the first time, even if they're rude to her. Her philosophy is that people who are rude are just trying to protect themselves, and if she shows them she's perfectly friendly, they'll open up. That doesn't mean this strategy always works.

Being the cheerful girl she is, Avril enjoys upbeat songs and the songs from her home country, France. She considers French to be one of the most beautiful languages in the world, and aims to learn Greek, if only because it sounds cool. Sometimes she can be found working hard to find a new language to learn, as she believes that one can never be too prepared for whoever she may meet. That said, Avril loves school, and learning new things. She's a marvelous student and very helpful to those around her. During her free time, she comes up with ways to volunteer or help out those in need. When asked why she bothers, she grins and responds, "They're people too, aren't they?"

Even if someone clearly tells her they're not her friend, Avril will go out of her way to defend them if they're being wrongly accused. That's just how she is. She doesn't expect much from her friends, but she hopes that they care about her as much as she does about them.

    Strengths/Virtues:
    ■ Being friendly
    ■ Mediating in a conflict
    ■ Retaining information she's learned

    Weaknesses/Vices:
    ■ Can never really tell if she's in a potentially dangerous situation
    ■ Can't tell if someone dislikes her
    ■ Life-or-death situations

    Quirks:
    ■ Randomly hops up when a song she likes comes on and starts dancing
    ■ When feeling playful, she tackles people in hugs
    ■ Speaks in rapid fire French when especially cheerful or excited

    Likes:
    ■ Upbeat Songs
    ■ School
    ■ Sketching
    ■ Peace

    Dislikes:
    ■ Heavy Metal Music
    ■ TV
    ■ Violence
    ■ Dullness

    Fear:
Cliche as it may be, Avril is afraid of dying and sever injury, both to herself and those she cares about. It takes a lot to convince her to enter into dangerous situations.

    Desire:
Avril wants people to see others for who they are, and not what they look like. In other words, she wishes for a world free of bias.

    Secret:
Yes, most of the time, Avril is happy-go-lucky and smiling. But that's only because she's mastered the art of hiding her frown. You can never tell when she's really sad, which may only sometimes...or all of the time.

    History

    History:
Avril's family was fairly wealthy, and philanthropic. Her parents taught her from a very young age to be compassionate and selfless, and she learned to be just that. She didn't just have one best friend; she had many. And not only did her friends love her, but so did all the people around her. Avril was a genuinely sweet girl, a refreshing personality in the midst of all the hardships and harsh realities of life. For the first few years of her life, her schedule was abound with play dates and birthday parties. The young Cavallon girl was very popular, and made her parents proud.

Being a fashion designer, Avril's mother adored dressing up her daughter. She considered her daughter her muse, and many of her clothing lines were, in fact, inspired by her. Thus, not only was Madame Cavallon famous, but so was her daughter. Others had always told her she was a pretty girl, but now it was official, as magazines constantly called to get her to model her mother's designs. This continued on through primary school into junior high, when Avril buckled down and focused on her schoolwork.

Avril excelled as a student. Teachers loved her, and classmates turned to her for help. It was her father's turn to be proud, being a historian himself. If even Avril didn't understand something, he'd help her with her language-related and social studies classes. Soon, Avril was excelling in high school, too, and was even a top honors student. Not only that, but she was very popular with most of the students, even the ones considered "outcasts" by the usual popular teenagers. Thanks to her efforts, the student body gradually became more unified.

At the very end of high school, Avril's parents were going to a party hosted by one of Madame Cavallon's colleagues. On their way there, a drunk driver crashed into their car, leaving them with severe injuries. Avril was devestated, but she plastered a smile on her face whenever she visited them. They apologized profusely for not being at home, though she assured them their apologies were unwarranted. Her aunt Coralie had come to watch over her, and she was perfectly nice.

Unfortunately, a few days later, her mother died from her injuries, her father following the day after. The funeral was very sad, as Avril had never really known sadness before, except maybe during sad movies. Aunt Coralie took her in the summer before she was go to a university, and Avril spent most of that time in her room, mourning. By the end of the summer, she was back to her chipper self.

At least, that's what everybody thought.

Theme Song: "Happy" by Leona Lewis

    Powers and Abilities

    Powers:
    Peace
High levels of stress or anger can be relieved instantly with a touch from Avril. She's unsure how to control this, or if it can even be controlled. Putting people at ease isn't exactly the most helpful skill in some situations.
    Danger Alert
Maybe it's because her past life was doomed to suffer tragedy, or maybe it's a sixth sense, but Avril can usually sense when danger is imminent. This is half of the reason why she might refuse to do things that seem especially risky.

    Drawbacks:
    ■ Her calming power doesn't work on her, so she will still feel whatever emotion she'd been feeling already even if her touch affects others.
    ■ Sometimes her calming works too well and makes people go loopy.

    Skills:
    Mediation/Peacemaking
Avril has a unique sense of justice, and is very good at determining the best way to solve a problem or issue between people.
    Persuasion
Due to her ability to listen to both sides, she's also very adept at convincing someone of the rightness of the other side.
    Fashion Sense
Having a fashion designer as a mother has made Avril fairly skilled in the fashion realm. She's always willing to help out in a fashion crisis.

    Weapons:
None Preferably, Will Carry a Pistol for Protection

Kendrick Wheatley
(The Soulful Guitarist)

Kendrick Wheatley
(Shawn Mendes)
full

Basic Info

Full Name: Kendrick Marcus Wheatley

Nickname: Kenny, Kenny Bear

Age: 20

Birthday: May 11

Sign: Taurus

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Bisexual

Religion: Catholic

Country of Origin: Italy

Reincarnation Of: Orpheus

Appearance

Hair Color: Dark Brown

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 183 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: A cursive "L" on the right side of his waist.

Distinguishing Features: His Guitar and His Smile

Personality

Personality:
Music is Kendrick's entire life. He sees it everywhere he goes, even when the world around him is silent. He likes to believe that everything in the world has a song, even the silence, and his own musical tastes reflect that. Kendrick loves to play all sorts of music, but tends to stay away from hard rock, punk, heavy metal, and hip hop. American artists inspire him, as well as those from around Europe, and he takes cues from especially famous artists such as Prince or Michael Jackson. Genuine emotion in song is Kendrick's favorite aspect of music, and he adores songs that aim to empower the listener or make them feel better.

True to his teddy bear looks, Kendrick is a big softie. He doles out hugs like he plays free songs, and will always lend an ear to anyone who needs someone to listen. Kendrick makes friends for keeps, not for convenience, and would rather get to know someone before deciding whether or not he should be their friend. If someone's personality annoys him or otherwise doesn't click with him, he will resort to cool politeness. Anyone who can't respect other people or insults others is not someone he wants to associate with. Though he values honesty, he will only tell a hard truth if specifically asked to. He's also the type of guy that carries a guitar around everywhere, just to strum it.

Despite him being partial to both sexes, Kendrick does in fact prefer girls. He's not the most flirty of guys, but will respond to it if approached in a flirty manner. It doesn't hurt that his smile is so charming and dazzling.

(Note from Gen: He says he prefers girl, but as soon as a really cute guy walks in...)

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Adapting to all types of social situations
■ Reading/playing music; not too shabby at teaching it
■ Comforting people who are sad (angry/frustrated, not so much)

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Reminders of his former girlfriend
■ Cannot hold his liquor
■ Can be very gullible

Quirks:
■ Not picky about who he hugs
■ Grows feral when bacon is involved
■ Will sing loudly when something that's said reminds him of a song

Likes:
■ Music (of course!)
■ Eurydice flowers
■ Genuine people
■ Being himself

Dislikes:
■ Phoniness
■ Fighting
■ Empty promises
■ Dwelling on the past

Fear:
Kendrick fears that if he falls in love again, that person will be taken away from him.

Desire:
He hopes to someday touch the hearts of people all over the world with his music.

Secret:
Kendrick is a romantic at heart, but only for others. He rarely ever thinks about these things for himself.

History

History:
His parents were British and Portuguese, so why exactly was he in Italy? When he was but a small baby, his parents were strolling through Venice, their son in a stroller, sleeping. While crossing the Rialto Bridge, someone roughly shoved Kendrick's father, who bumped into his mother, who fell over the side of the bridge into the water. People around them gasped and crowded the railing. Distraught, Mr. Wheatley dove into the water after his wife, the love of his life. The people on the bridge with bated breath, but neither the wife nor the husband resurfaced. A kind young woman, seeing the baby, took him up in her arms, and, as soon as authorities arrived, told them what had happened. She then took Kendrick to a home for orphaned children, until someone could pinpoint any close relatives. There were none.

Therefore, Kendrick grew up in La Casa Per Les Bambinos, a home for orphans that was started by a woman who was unable to have children herself. As soon as she laid eyes on Kendrick, she knew the boy would grow up to be a kind and wonderful young man. She spoiled all the children in the house, but most especially Kendrick, insisting he needed to eat more to stay healthy. Despite his parents only speaking English and Portuguese, Kendrick quickly picked up Italian from the second he could talk. All the children looked at him like a brother, even the meaner ones there.

However, Kendrick was bullied at school. He was called a "pansy" and a "wimp" for being so nice all the time, and if he wasn't careful, the bullies would corner him and beat him up. One day, an older boy from the orphanage witnessed one of these, and he rescued Kendrick. The boy had been keeping this a secret from their "mother," but the older boy knew he had to stop it. So, Kendrick was taught how to defend himself. Soon, he was stopping fights from starting and also getting hurt less and less. In the meantime, he began to exercise a bit more, until he had gained some muscle. If he could help it, he wasn't going to let anybody else in the house get bullied like he did.

Despite his hard school life, Kendrick had one thing he loved above all else: music. In the corner of the living room at home was an old guitar, and as soon as he picked it up when he was nine years old, he was a prodigy. Every instrument he was handed he learned to play, and it wasn't long before he gave small recitals for the people in the surrounding neighborhood. Although he preferred stringed instruments, he still managed to master everything from the kazoo to the double bass in about three years. Everyone who knew him was impressed, but none more so than Kendrick himself. Where had this ability come from?

One night at a small concert he was holding for his neighbors, the air around him crackled with negative emotion. Everyone in the crowd seemed sad, frustrated, or full on angry. Worried for his friends, family, and neighbors, he began to play a calming song, and as he looked out at the audience, it seemed to be working all too well. When he was done, the people seemed to be in a trance of some sort, and it was only then Kendrick realized he had a strange ability. Until this night, this power never made itself known, but he sensed there was at least one other inside him, but didn't bother to find out what it was, for fear that it could hurt someone.

When he was eighteen and just starting university, Kendrick met a girl named Luciana. Over time, they became close, until one day, Kendrick asked her to dinner, and she said yes. The next several months were the happiest of his life. Luciana was possibly the sweetest girl in the world, and quite often they found themselves cooped up in either of their homes, cuddling on the couch watching TV. The mother of La Casa took one look at her and told Kendrick to never let her go. He didn't plan to, or want to, for that matter. His love for Luciana was so strong, he thought it would never go away. So of course he proposed to her on their one year anniversary. She said yes, and they spent that night in each other's arms.

A few months after their engagement, Kendrick got a call while visiting home. Luciana had been crossing a street when a drunk driver sped around a corner and hit her. Kendrick dropped everything and rushed over to the hospital where she was being treated. She greeted him with a weak smile. They were told that the damage was too much, and there was nothing they could do to help. Kendrick thanked the doctor and looked back down at his precious Luciana, tears in his eyes. She died a few hours later in his arms, and for a while, he was inconsolable. All the songs he played were ones he had once played for her or songs that reminded him of her.

After a while, the heartache faded and the tears dried up. Kendrick began playing happy songs again, and his bright smile returned. Luciana would've wanted him to be happy, so he found a reason to smile every day for her. He continues wearing a locket with her picture in it, but otherwise, he has moved on with his life, with Luciana holding a special place in his heart.

The day he got the strange letter, he knew it was destiny calling. So he packed up his things and said goodbye to the country that had taken him in and raised him.

Theme Song: "Just Keep Breathing" by We the Kings

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Binding Promise
Probably his least favorite ability, if anyone promises anything to Kendrick, that oath will immediately be binding. Should the person in question break the promise, dire consequences will befall them, depending on the parameters of the promise. These consequences could range from your cat running away to being run over by a car. It all depends on the promise. However, if these words are said to a group of people including Kendrick, or said to someone that isn't him, the power won't work.
Mood Shift
This power is not quite emotion control, but, rather, emotion taming. Should Kendrick desire to ease the pain or anger of those around him, a simple song from whatever instrument he's playing will send out sound waves that cause those levels of intense emotion to drop. It only works if Kendrick feels a strong desire to ease the emotion, if the emotion is inherently negative, or if the emotion is intense. All three of those conditions must be met for it to work. Otherwise, Kendrick's just playing a regular song.

Drawbacks:
■ Kenny's "emotion taming" lasts for only about an hour. The emotions he calmed have a chance of returning full force afterwards.

Skills:
Musical Genius
Though Kendrick could probably play many more instruments, he prefers those that are stringed. His favorites are the harp, double bass, and, of course, the guitar. He can sing as well.
Mood Reading
He can't pick out specific emotions from specific people, but Kendrick is able to aptly judge the mood the of the room he's in. This is why his music is well received.

    Clothing Style:
    T U L I O

    I Never Had Enough Gold

    Personality:
Tulia’s not that hard to figure out, and yet, she’s a pretty complex Spanish girl. For the most part, it’s pretty cut and dry: she loves Mateo, she trusts no one but Mateo, she cares only about Mateo and their “adoptive” father. Basically, Mateo is the center and entirety of Tulia’s universe. While acting as her other half, Mateo is also the one Tulia goes to when she needs comforting or someone to punch in the shoulder. Though they are each other’s other halves, there is next to nothing romantic about it. They are simply unable to let go of each other. Unfortunately, this also means they are unable to truly open up to others, though they are totally willing to flirt with pretty much anyone that moves. (A side effect of their former lives.)

Although she and Mateo have left the life of con artists behind, a part of Tulia is always looking for the next scheme. In lieu of getting to know someone, Tulia is always looking for something to use for her own purposes. Teasing, information, whatever. If she finds out something about someone she’s getting to know, Tulia will be sure to use it somehow… even if she’s never quite sure how she’d be able to use such information. She would never tell Mateo this, however, because she’s supposed to be the smart one.

Beneath it all, Tulia is about as insecure as insecure can come. She fears being so attached so Mateo that no one else will want to approach her, but she also fears losing Mateo and everything their connection stands for. At the same time, Tulia fears being hurt again by someone who claims to like her, and so she clings to Mateo, despite the consequences involved.

    Virtues:

    ■ Intelligent
    ■ Logical
    ■ Mature

    Vices:
    ■ Vain
    ■ Possessive
    ■ Deceptive
    ■ Lust
    ■ Shameless

    Quirks:
    ■ Tends to add a sexual connotation to most responses

    Habits:
    ■ Reflexively calls Mateo her boyfriend even though he's not
    ■ Sleeps in a ball like she did as a kid when she and Mateo were on the streets

    Likes:

    ■ Anything Gold
    ■ Mateo
    ■ Conning People
    ■ The Aztecs

    Dislikes:
    ■ Injustice
    ■ Discrimination
    ■ Pushy Men
    ■ Rowboats
    ■ Conquistadores

    Fear:
Separation from Mateo, Never Finding the Gold She's Looking For

Miguel, You Made My Life an Adventure

    History:
Tulia doesn't know who her parents are. What she does know is that they left her in the most dilapidated, rundown orphanage in Spain. Even the woman who ran it knew it was pointless to care about the building. Unfortunately, that philosophy translated into not caring for the children.

However, if Tulia hadn't been dropped off at that orphanage, she never would have met Mateo. Just like her, he didn't like their home, so they made a pact to completely run away from it. They became street urchins, only dependent on each other. It was better than the orphanage, though, and that was all that mattered.

As they grew older, they became con artists in order to earn enough money to feed themselves. (Stealing bread and scraps from trash cans wasn't enough anymore.) Despite having very little education, Tulia and Mateo made very good con artists. Tulia was the intelligent one, always the one with the plan. If the police or any of their victims caught on, she came up with the escape plan. Always the logical and rational one, that was Tulia. But Mateo wouldn't have it any other way.

When they were young teenagers, a kindly older man found them and took them into his own home. He was a little on the fat side, if they were being completely honest, but he was the nicest man in the world. After some convincing, he managed to homeschool them enough that they were able to attend high school.

Tulia started dating a perfectly nice boy in high school with a easygoing smile and a cute little shrug. She fancied herself in love with him, chattering to Mateo about him every second, causing him to roll his eyes and smirk. But something went wrong. The boy wasn't who she thought he was, and he tried to hurt her. Pinning her to the ground, he gave her an evil smile. When she screamed, she was convinced no one could hear it. Mateo did. He swooped in and rescued her, knocking out the guy and reporting him to the proper authorities. Tulia and Mateo thought they'd been close before, but this incident made them cling tighter.

Once they reached university age, Tulia and Mateo realized they wanted to see more of the world. They applied for a college exchange program that would take them to Walt Disney University, and to their surprise, they both got in.

Nevertheless, Tulia and Mateo stick together every moment they can. Separation anxiety is prevalent in both of them. Tulia doesn't trust anybody except for her Mateo.

The Point Is, None of Them Have Me

    Personality:
Francisco is, in a word, flashy. He always has to be the center of attention, especially where a party is concerned. But don’t be fooled: he’s clever enough to get out of pretty much every jam. Whether it’s a sticky social situation or actual physical danger, Francisco’s got enough tricks up his sleeve to make sure he comes out on top. He may not be classy, but he can outclass anyone in a battle of wits.

Being the clever fellow he is, he teases everyone he comes across, but it’s rarely ever serious. He’s rarely ever serious about anything, especially when it comes to social interactions. Letting loose with his friends is his favorite pastime, besides eating spaghetti, that is. All the words that come out of his mouth are an enigma wrapped in an enigma. He either means the opposite of what he says…or he just doesn’t mean it at all.

Dogs are his favorite animal in the world. His heart breaks whenever he hears about dogs being treated badly by humans. He will take it upon himself to rescue every stray he comes across, though he’s always reluctant to let them go to meet a new family. This melancholy sometimes seeps into his face, as if some part of him has shut down. These random times of sadness are rare, but concerning all the same. Francisco without that bright smile on his face is like spaghetti without meatballs. (At least, that’s what people seem to tell him.)

He may not like what's going on right now, but he’ll make the most of it as long as he can in the best way he can. And that includes slurping all the noodles he can stomach. And, of course, having fun with what friends he has.

Who Could Ever Harm a Little Trick Like You?

    Past Life/History: (RTMK/DLM)
Tramp was a lone dog living a life of relative luxury. The only thing that mattered to him was where he got his next meal and protecting other strays like him from the dogcatcher. Then he met Lady, a cocker spaniel who lived in the richer part of town. He showed her the good life, and he even took her to dinner (specialty of an Italian restaurant that just loved him). However, she heard about his playboy tendencies, and she turned him away the next time he came to see her. But he came back to help her kill a rat that tried to attack her family's baby, and the family decided to take him in.

They had four puppies and Tramp never went hungry again.

    Our World: (RTMK)
Perhaps the best child actor to ever grace commercials, Francisco Moretti was living the good life. He had everything he ever wanted, but he was anything but spoiled. Well, for the most part. His attitude was annoying at times, but something about his smile was just so charming, his parents couldn’t help but forgive him.

As he grew older, he became a regular heartbreaker. He dated girl after girl and broke up with them almost as fast as he went out with them. To his credit, he did this because all those girls wanted one thing: popularity. They weren’t dating him because they found him interesting; no, all they wanted was the fame that came with it. Francisco hated those kinds of people. He was careful who he made friends with, and he made sure that those who spent time with his parents were truly their friends.

But then, he met a girl who didn’t give a damn about his fame. She wanted to know the secret behind his crooked grin. He fell hard for her. It was the longest relationship he’d ever been in, and he couldn’t be happier. A smile was never from his face as long as he was with her.

One night, however, he got into his car with her only to find a gun pressed against his temple. The man insisted on driving him to a nearby bank and act as his getaway car. Glancing at his girlfriend reassuringly, Francisco did as the man asked. They reached the bank, and he slyly reached into his phone and called the police, slipping the device back into his pocket. The man got out of the car, and that was the last mistake he made. Francisco dove out of the car after him and tackled him to the ground, knocking the gun out of reach. On the other end of the phone, the police heard the commotion, but once they’d reached the scene, the man was unconscious, and Francisco was hugging his girlfriend.

The media labeled him a hero, though he really hadn’t done much. His parents and girlfriend were proud of him nonetheless, and he became a little humbler. However, he fell from grace a few months later when he was found passed out in his car with drugs in his system and a whole stash in his trunk.

That night, he’d been at a party with a friend, and someone had injected the drug into his arm without his knowledge, and then they stashed the rest of it into his car so the blame wouldn’t be pinned on him. Though the real culprit was found, the damage was done. Francisco had lost everything: his integrity, his reputation, and most importantly, his girlfriend. She couldn’t be with someone who took drugs, and he understood her reasons. That didn’t stop him from being sad, though.

Now, he lays low, stuck in a position of never truly being able to clear his name or regain his reputation. People continue to mock him, and he no longer finds work. Instead, he works at a restaurant, making spaghetti all day in the hopes that someday, he can make up for the wrongs he was framed for.

Basic Info

Full Name: Ivy Gabriella St. Clair

Nickname: Vee, London

Age: 18

Birthday: October 18

Sign: Libra

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Religion: Lutheran

Country of Origin: England

Reincarnation Of: Thalia the Muse

Appearance

Hair Color: Dark Brown

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Height: 5'2"

Weight: 112.5 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: Her Eyes, Her Heeled Boots, One Silver Stud in Left Ear

Personality

Personality:
Though she dresses like a typical popular girl, Ivy is a comedian by nature. She'll spit out puns, knock-knock jokes, anything to make the people around her laugh. She's not one for pranks, but April Fool's Day is her absolute favorite holiday. Her best material is often her dry wit, or her play on words, inspired by many American comedians such as Trevor Noah, Stephen Colbert, and most especially Lewis Black. However, she refuses to make jokes that she knows will directly insult those around her, as she doesn't want to bring joy to others at the expense of a few. That part of her is probably the kindest.

Ivy is not the most comforting or warmest of people, but if she senses someone is sad, she'll break out some soft humor to hopefully bring a smile to that person's face. Lightening the mood is her self-assigned job. In a dangerous or depressing situation, she'll crack some sort of joke, unable to tell if it's appreciated unless someone points out that it isn't. More than anything, Ivy wants people to smile. Music wise, she'll break into song humorously for no reason at all, the songs usually being from cheesy musicals or popular American songs. She doesn't really have any hobbies, but she does enjoy watching YouTube videos.

She's sincere with her friends, though she's not the most sociable of people. Some would say she's too focused on her comedy to actually focus on making friends or getting to know people. She's working on it.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Most types of jokes
■ References
■ Deduction

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Holding back her jokes
■ Making friends
■ Procrastination (not just homework)

Quirks:
■ Breaking into random High School Musical songs
■ Can burp entire songs if she tries hard enough
■ Has a humongous crush on Trevor Noah

Likes:
■ Comedians
■ Jokes
■ Rainy days
■ Constructive criticism

Dislikes:
■ Overly hard work
■ Unfunny jokes
■ Offensive jokes
■ Being mocked

Fear:
Secretly, Ivy fears that everyone around her is faking liking her. (If they have said they do.)

Desire:
Ivy's biggest dream is to bring a smile onto the faces of everyone she meets.

Secret:
Ivy had coveted her best friend's boyfriend, which was half of the reason why she was so traumatized by the whole experience.

History

History:
London. Known for its culture and accent, not to mention Big Ben. Ivy calls this city home. Something about the mood the normally gray sky and rainy weather set always enchanted her. Her parents didn't understand this part of their daughter, but they shrugged and dealt with it. When she was very young, she'd sit around the television with her parents and older brother and watch reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, a comedy show that never failed to make the St. Clairs laugh. Ivy drew inspiration from this show, and soon began presenting jokes of her own.

It started at school, with her friends. They'd be joking around, and then Ivy would break in with one of her original jokes, which was usually composed of sophisticated humor few of her friends understood. Her teachers, however, thought they were priceless, and gushed to her parents about her comedic skill. Eventually, as they grew older, her friends began to understand, as well as the people around her, and Ivy St. Clair was nominated as the Class Comedian (better than a Class Clown). Laughter was indeed the best medicine with her around.

Soon, Ivy thought about nothing but comedy. She wrote down jokes whenever she thought of them, and used them whenever she could, even doing small stand up routines for her extended family during family gathering. Her on-the-spot jokes were always the best ones. After all, that was what Whose Line Is It Anyway? was all about. Comedy became a dream of hers, and everyone knew she could make it as a comedian if she tried. The support boosted her confidence.

When she was seventeen, Ivy's best friend's boyfriend broke up with her. They had been dating for a few years, so she took it hard. Ivy, being the caring friend she was, prepared a few jokes for her, but then the ex asked her out right outside the classroom where her friend was. Shocked, she stood there, stock still, until she heard someone run away crying. It was her friend; she'd heard the entire thing, and thought Ivy had betrayed her. Ivy ran after her, desperate to explain, but her friend wouldn't have any of it. A wedge was driven between them, and it never quite healed. The jokes she'd prepared for her friend sat in her backpack, unused. For a time following the incident, Ivy refused to tell jokes. It was her humor that had basically ruined her friendship with the girl she'd grown up with, and she couldn't forgive her friend's ex, either.

Slowly, Ivy began building up her confidence to joke around again, and her friend made up with her, though there was still a gap between them. Because of it, Ivy vowed to never let something like that happen again, to her or her friends.

Theme Song: "We're All in This Together" from High School Musical and "Life of the Party" by Shawn Mendes

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Laughy Gas
Since Ivy's so empathetic, she can usually tell if the tension in a room is just too much. Thus, she can summon a sort of mist that will make whoever breathes it laugh, no matter how depressed they are actually feeling. If they hadn't seen the mist beforehand, they won't be aware it's happening, but those who do see the mist will wonder why their mood suddenly changed.
Harsh Laugh
Though she hasn't quite mastered this power or even tried it out on anyone, Ivy probably favors this. If caught in a dire situation, she can let out a cruel-sounding laugh, and whoever she deems her enemy will immediately feel a pounding headache and want to curl up on the ground to escape the noise. Ivy thinks it's pretty badass.

Drawbacks:
■ Her laughy gas will sometimes take forever to wear off...so good luck to those who breathe it.
■ The harsh laugh will really only work if she gives a genuine laugh. A fake laugh won't activate the power.

Skills:
Singing
Yes, most of the singing she does is cheesy and off-key, but Ivy really does have a great voice. She just chooses not to showcase it.
Observation
Ivy can observe most anything about her surroundings and pick out the little details--after all, she may need it for her jokes later.
Profiling
Most of the time, Ivy can figure out what a person's really like the first time she meets them. This way, she can figure out what sort of material to use on said victim audience.

Weapons:
She can be convinced to use nunchucks. Or a katana.
Whichever.
(It's a family thing.)

    Height: 5'7"

    Weight: 141 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: A red rosebud on his clavicle

Distinguishing Features: His Hats, His Accent

    Personality

    Personality:
Tobias is a party guy. He loves celebrations of all kinds, especially the ones with songs you can dance to. Whenever he's at one such event, he lets loose and just has a good time. Surprisingly, he's rarely ever drunk, as he doesn't want to ever fall to alcoholism, but he really loves fruit punch. All he wants to do is enjoy life and live it to the fullest. Despite this apparent optimism, he can devolve into biting cynicism and pessimism for reasons unknown. Tobias knows that the world is a dark place, but he at least acknowledges that there are good things in it. Like fruit punch.

A real odd duck, Tobias is fascinated with the subject of death. Namely, funerals. Of all the traditions and rituals on the planet, funeral rites are the ones that have lasted the longest. Tobias is intrigued by the customs of different cultures and religions, and he is most especially interested in the different beliefs regarding the afterlife. He will actually get offended if certain rites aren't carried out, or if the wishes of the deceased are not met. Tobias even takes the funeral of an animal seriously. It may be weird to others, but he is legitimately fascinated by this type of stuff.

Of course, Tobias loves most types of music, so long as he can dance to it. Obviously, Just Dance is his favorite game.

Oh, and he has a tendency to apologize profusely for World War II. So it's best to avoid any mention of it.

    Strengths/Virtues:
    ■ Partying of any kind
    ■ Adapting to his environment
    ■ Knowing the funeral customs of different cultures

    Weaknesses/Vices:
    ■ Really can't help talking about funeral customs
    ■ Passing by anyone/anything with a fabulous hat
    ■ Talking about his sister

    Quirks:
    ■ Tends to quote Mushu from Mulan a lot ("DISHONOR ON YOU! DISHONOR ON YOUR COW!")
    ■ May or may not break into random choreography just because
    ■ Will go off on tangents...about death

    Likes:
    ■ Parties
    ■ Fruit Punch/Pomegranates
    ■ Hats
    ■ Cypress Trees

    Dislikes:
    ■ Party Poopers/A Lame Party
    ■ Alcohol
    ■ Funeral Rites Being Disregarded
    ■ The Dark Side of the World

    Fear:
Tobias fears that someday he won't be able to help someone who shouldn't have to die just yet.

    Desire:
To become a mortician and plan beautiful receptions for people of many cultures.

    Secret:
Only one time was he drunk. He quickly regretted it the next morning and never spoke of it again.

    History

    History:
Tobias was born in Munich, Germany, to a middle class family that got by with pure luck and skill. He had two younger sisters who looked up to him as a role model, and a whole group of friends he hung out with. Everyone he met in town instantly liked him. Despite all this attention, he knew that he was a bit odd. He was fascinated by death, after all, and usually people his age didn't show that much interest in such a morbid topic.

As he grew older, Tobias became the guy you invited to all your parties, even if you didn't know him. He made everything fun! He brought life to a party that would normally be boring. This continued on through his childhood until he was a teenager. As the parties slowly became a bit rowdier and, of course, more fun, Tobias was still the life of the party. He was ever the popular party guy, who, on the bright side, didn't drink and therefore wasn't a blabbering idiot (in the words of some)!

One night, he was at an especially wild party and of course, he was dancing like there was no tomorrow. Suddenly, there was a crash and a scream, and the music abruptly stopped. Tobias pushed through the crowd to see what was happening, only to find that some drunk girl had fallen off the balcony at the top of the staircase in the middle of the house. Teenagers all around him were panicking and calling ambulances. A strange feeling overcame Tobias, and he crouched beside the girl and took her hand. He had a strange vision of the girl walking towards a tunnel of light, all the while begging not to die, that she still had so much to do. He saw himself approach her and take her hand, leading away from the tunnel. In mere seconds, the girl was awake and pushing herself into a sitting position, rubbing her head. Tobias had just saved her.

From then on, everyone around him thought he was a miracle worker. They asked him to do ridiculous things, like turn water into wine and other stuff like that. But Tobias turned them all down. How the hell had he done that? His party mode shut off for a while as he tried to sort himself out. However, he never did reach a conclusion of what exactly was happening to him. He didn't dare tell his younger sisters or parents, lest they think he was crazy.

Eventually, his party mood returned, but not before his youngest sister, Roselia, was diagnosed with cancer. It was a hard battle, but Tobias and their other sister were with her every step of the way. Eventually, Roselia lost the fight, and she died peacefully in the embrace of her sister and brother. The Abernathy siblings were devastated, but they stayed strong for the sake of their sister. Come the time of the funeral, Tobias organized everything just so, so as to best respect poor little Roselia. The funeral was lovely, and complimented everything about his sister. When the family was asked who had planned such a beautiful reception, his parents gladly told them about their son.

Tobias had realized his dream to become a mortician. A strange goal for a guy like him, but he was strange, anyway. What did that matter? Strangeness was more good than bad in a world like this.

Theme Song: "Good Time" by Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen

    Powers and Abilities

    Powers:
    Tunnel Guide
Having a near death experience? Well, if your will to live is strong, Toby can pull you out. Basically, he appears as a spectrel figure in front of you, and literally guides you away from the tunnel of light that leads to death. Crazy stuff. If you're content either way, he won't necessarily be useful.
    Death Curse
If you hold a funeral and disrespect either the deceased's culture or the deceased themselves, Tobias can put a curse on you that ensures your death will be painful, or at least very tragic. Respect the rites of funerals, man. He doesn't really have control over it.

    Drawbacks:
    ■ Saving somebody from the light at the end of the tunnel is exhausting, so he can't use it on multiple people at one time. Only one.
    ■ He can only save you if you have a chance of surviving. Hence, "near death" experience.

    Skills:
    Dance Fiend
Tobias, in all his partying, has learned all kinds of dances in an effort to be prepared for any kind of party.
    The Death Handbook
If you need help planning a funeral for a person, or even just a dead bird, Tobias is your man for that.

    Weapons:
    Obviously his dance skill
In all seriousness, he uses no weapon

I Want Adventure in the Great Wide Somewhere! I Want It More Than I Can Tell...

Personality:
At first glance, Arabella seems like your typical nerdy girl. She reads more than she speaks, sure, and she’s extremely quiet. But under all that is a kind girl who just wants to understand. While most people would lash out in retaliation or cry in response to insults, Arabella asks questions as to why said person behaves that way. She wants to know why it is people are so prejudiced against one another, why being different is such a bad thing. Of course, she still doesn’t handle being insulted well. She wears pain like a mask, and pretends that it doesn’t affect her as badly as it does. If there’s anything Arabella’s good at that isn’t reading, it’s pretending. Though she wears her heart on her sleeve, she’s a mystery even to herself.

Despite any pain, she’s honestly kind, not for personal gain, but purely for the sake of others. She’ll ignore others’ scorn and insults if it means that she can do a little good in the world. Arabella knows more than anyone how cruel the world is, and how corrupt humans really are. But if there’s a sliver of a chance that she’ll be able to show people that it’s also beautiful…well then, it’s worth the risk.

Underneath it all, Arabella seeks some sort of adventure, one that is far more exciting than any life she’s led thus far. Her books have taken her to far off realms, and so, she wishes to have the sort of adventures that the heroes and heroines in those books have. Compared to her reading, life is really quite boring to her, the drama in it dull and predictable (not counting what she believes happened to her). Having an adventure would certainly counteract all of that.

That doesn’t mean she’ll go in blindly, though.

Virtues:

■ Adventurous

■ Helpful

Vices:
■ Cynical
■ Pessimistic
■ Skeptical

Someone Leaving Her Because of Rumors Again

And For Once It Might Be Grand, to Have Someone Understand...

Past Life/Disney Bio: (RTMK/DLM)
By some twist of fate, a young girl named Belle became prisoner to an angry, hideous Beast, master of a enchanted castle. However, after he saved her from a pack of wolves intent on her blood, she realized that perhaps he wasn’t as bad as she had originally thought. It took some time, but they grew closer, and he found it in his heart to release her from her captivity. The people of her town weren’t so forgiving to this perceived monster, however, and they stormed the castle to kill him. She went after them, worried about her friend, but just when she thought that Beast had been victorious in his fight against Gaston, he was stabbed. As he lay dying, she confessed that she loved him. Right before her eyes, he changed from a Beast into a man, the spell on the castle having been broken.

And as the story goes, they lived happily ever after.

History/Our World/New Memories: (WDU/RTMK/DLM)
Arabella Morales was born into a a family of four as the younger sister to her brother, Alejandro. Life was pretty standard for the two, considering their parents ran their own business and the Morales family lived above it. However, despite being fairly well off, Arabella couldn't help but come to be a tad envious of the things her classmates had. They got whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted, while her parents insisted on saving money so that they could send their children to college someday.

Spurred on by this encouragement, Arabella took to studying every night in middle school. She'd already loved reading, since her parents ran a bookstore, but her range broadened from fiction to nonfiction. Her interest especially focused on philosophers, such as Descartes and Voltaire. Through all this, she began writing stories and poems...anything her mind came up with. Her parents were very proud of their little girl, and her brother doted on her more than any girlfriend he'd bring home.

Come high school, Arabella found herself on the receiving end of insults and jabs. Though she dressed just as well as any of them, the more popular kids made fun of her for her financial situation (which wasn't the best at the time) and her looks. She didn't understand why they were making fun of her, only that she was apparently different. Despite the bullying, she managed to find a close-knit group of best friends that were just as nerdy as she was. They were her "clique," so to speak, and they defended her without fail. Arabella was so thankful for them every day. Finally, the day came when one of the boys in the group, Teddy, asked her out. She said yes, and their friends rejoiced. Teddy was sweet, walking her to class, having dinner with her family, studying with her at the library...normal boyfriend stuff. Arabella couldn't imagine anything better than this.

That is, until the day a cruel popular girl started spreading a rumor about her. According to her story, Arabella had been sleeping with three other guys behind Teddy's back. Both Teddy and her friends were outraged. Even though they were pretty sure it wasn't true, they looked to her with suspicion in their eyes. One day, she couldn't take it anymore, and she ran home crying. Alejandro comforted her, and he promised to take down whoever had spread the rumor.

The girl was caught, and the rumor dissipated, but an irreparable rift had spread between Arabella and her friends. The fact that they had doubted her for even a second upset her, and though they were sorry and apologized profusely, it didn't help her broken heart. She was the one who finally broke it off with Teddy, saying that she didn't think it would work out anymore.

For the remainder of high school, Arabella stuck to herself, and she didn't bother making friends anymore. Sure, she'd interact in a friendly way, but she wasn't looking for lasting attachments. She'd already had enough of that. Working hard at school is her way of starting over, and she'd be thankful for a friend, but she's not specifically looking for one.

Not anymore.

How Do You Know What I'm Like?

Personality:
Magdalene has a limitless imagination, so much so that she doesn’t know where all her ideas come from. She’s the kind of girl who carries around a notebook solely for writing down the ideas that come to head, only to later plot them out into a full story idea. Along with that imagination comes a full range of emotions. She channels these into her music, which mostly consists of singing. Magdalene fills most of her waking hours with some sort of music, whether it's listening to it, humming it, or singing it at the top of her lungs. Sometimes she can't control herself from singing a song that pops into her head--after all, she knows songs of most, if not all, genres.

Most of Magdalene's social encounters involve kind words and positive remarks. She wants nothing more than for the people around her to smile and be happy. So she'll do anything to make it to happen, and she excels at doling out hugs. However, if she's uncomfortable with the conversation at hand, she will try to exit as soon as possible by any means possible. Considering she never tries to fully get close to people, one would normally say that she has trust issues, but really, she fears that she trusts too easily. This can be taken as her being too gullible or too cautious, but either way, she seems to find herself in quite a bit of trouble, no matter how hard she tries to get out of it. Conversations with her are rarely dull, though, which tends to work in her favor. If she likes you, you'll probably never know. She's quite good at hiding what she's really feeling behind a kind smile.

Inside, she has this inherent fear that the people she cares about will leave her. Therefore, she will cling to them as much as possible and make sure they aren't tempted in the slightest. Though... That might chase them away, huh?

Sometimes It's Better to Be Alone

Past Life: (RTMK)
Due to a bad relationship, Megara's soul belonged to Hades and she did his bidding. Then she met Hercules, and, no matter how hard she fought against it, she felt herself falling in love with him. More than anything, she wanted him to succeed, and she rebelled against Hades. She saved Herc from being crushed by a falling stone pillar and lost her soul as a result. He retrieved it from the Underworld and returned it to her. Instead of joining the gods on Olympus, he decided to stay on Earth with Meg.

And she couldn't have been happier.

Our World/New Memories: (RTMK/DLM)
Magdalene's parents weren't the kindest of people. Though they took care of her, they only did it for their own benefit. As they lived in poverty, they used the added persuasion of a young girl to barter help from the kindhearted. She suffered from the lack of love from her parents. The people who helped them showed a far greater love to her than they ever had.

One night, she was playing by the fireplace in the new place where they'd decided to take up residence. Her parents were eating, but Magdalene played too close to them, and her mother shoved her daughter's legs away from her straight into the fire. The owner of the house saw this and hurried to pull Magdalene out of the fire and rush her to the hospital. Doctors did everything they could, but she would have scars on her ankles for the rest of her life. The house's owner couldn't take this blatant abuse anymore. Child Services came and took Maggie's parents away, and though they begged her to tell them it was all a lie, she didn't bother. Her parents didn't love her, and they never would. As horrible as it was, she was happy to see them go.

Thus, she bounced around in the foster care system, expecting each time that the new family would love her in a way her parents couldn't. Naturally, they didn't. Rather, they pretended to as well. And each time, she believed them. It reached a point where she would run with the bad crowds in school, though of course she didn't realize she was doing it. Eventually, she got out of the foster care system and was placed into an apartment of her very own in Recuerdo under adult supervision.

Though she's made friends at school, finally, she fears someday that they'll leave her, tell her that they never cared about her in the first place. But she'll stay with them for now, because being with others who maybe don't like you is better than being alone with yourself.

Personality:
Korey is a mess of contradictions. He’s compassionate yet cold, quiet yet reckless… Above all, Korey pretends not to care for the well-being of those around him, but he does. Very much. He shows this through cutting honesty that is at times blunt and sarcastic. However, he tells the truth for the good of the person he’s most likely hurting. The sooner they realize how cruel the world is, the easier they’ll be able to handle injustice later on.

People often accuse him of being selfish, but everything he does is for the sake of someone else. If there’s anything he’s selfish about, it’s those who are closest to him. Those people number very few, for despite his hobbies consisting of sports (and thus suggesting his being social), he’s really very unsure how to handle himself in social interactions. He therefore values anyone who cares enough to try to get close to him.

Regarding romance, he’s cynical. He refuses to believe all the crap that movies and cartoons seems to market on. It would take someone really special to convince him otherwise. But no, he’s not one to care about looks. (Though he certainly doesn’t mind if the girl in question is pretty.) For all his contradictions, perhaps the most stunning one is how drastically his behavior changes when in the presence of a girl he likes.

Past Life: (RTMK)
Kovu was chosen by Scar to succeed him. That was before Simba reclaimed his throne at Pride Rock and banished Kovu and his mother Zira to the Outlands, as well as the other lionesses who had supported Scar. The two prides were kept separate, but by some strange fit of luck, Kovu met Simba’s daughter, Kiara, on the border of their two lands. The two became fast friends before their parents caught them and took them away from each other. From then on, Zira trained her son to be a coldblooded killer, and she sent him to infiltrate Simba’s pride and exact revenge on behalf of Scar. What he didn’t expect was to fall in love with the same lioness from before—Kiara. Thus, he refused to carry out the plan, and, along with Kiara, he managed to stop the war between their two prides.

Two prides became one, and Kovu got to be with the lioness he loved.

Our World/New Memories: (RTMK/DLM)
For whatever odd reason, the leader of a crime ring decided to adopt Korey when the boy was only a few months old. Though he wasn’t Korey’s real father, they looked alike, so much that people couldn’t help but compare him to his adoptive father.

Korey knew that what his father did was wrong, but it wasn’t like he could protest—it wasn’t his place to speak out. At school, he ignored the rumors and whispers that followed him. If he couldn’t disperse them, he thought he might as well encourage them. He began training in the family business. Of course, he didn’t actually plan on inheriting his father’s status as the leader of the crime ring, but he figured he might as well pretend to be the son Mr. Hughes had always wanted.

It wasn’t too long after he started high school that he found out why exactly he’d been adopted. His real father was the brother of the man who had adopted him, and he’d been a police officer that was killed in the line of duty. Mr. Hughes himself had killed him. Korey was understandably shocked. His adoptive father-slash-uncle had killed his real father? How screwed up was that? His mother’s whereabouts were unknown, and if he had any siblings, his “father” didn’t know.

Nevertheless, he somehow felt as if his hands were stained with his birth father’s blood. When he looked in the mirror, he saw his uncle’s face, not his. How delightfully ironic. No matter how indirect it was, he had clearly become the man he hadn’t wanted to be.

So he ran away. He wasn’t going to be the man he despised, and he wasn’t going to be the man he never knew. He’d start over.

And that’s how he ended up in Recuerdo.

Country of Origin: United States of America

Reincarnation Of: Adonis

Appearance

Hair Color: Dirty Blond

Eye Color: Light Blue

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 176 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: His Guyliner

Personality

Personality:
Words alone fail to describe exactly what Coleson is all about. However, from first meeting him, one can tell how utterly ridiculous he is. The man has absolutely no shame when it comes to social interaction. He says what he thinks and feels at any given time, not really giving any thought to how he’ll affect those around him. The only time he puts thoughts into his words is when he’s flirting, which is most of the time. That isn’t to say that Cole isn’t considerate. He will immediately apologize if he feels he crossed a line or if someone becomes angry from what he’s said.

Cole’s memories have a tendency to haunt him and therefore make him nostalgic. To alleviate this bothersome feeling, he likes to blast the sort of music that conveys genuine feelings, or, as he says, “None of that offensive stuff that only cares about sex.” His favorite artists are Eminem and B.O.B. for that very reason, and when a song comes on that only talks about sex, he’ll turn it off. He doesn’t like the objectification of people present in today’s music, and would rather listen to something that discusses actual feelings rather than urges.

While he may seem like some sort of fake designed to act as eye candy, Cole has real feelings that come through in the strangest way. Still, he can’t deny that he doesn’t mind making out with people who attract and interest him.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Flirting incessantly and honestly
■ Imitating raps from his favorite songs
■ Acting in general

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Remembering the things he used to do
■ Feelings he doesn't understand
■ Sexy people

Quirks:
■ Dances by himself for no reason
■ He strips at the most random times without knowing why
■ Carries around a beat up copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Likes:
■ Guyliner
■ Eminem/B.O.B.
■ The City
■ The Idea of a Happy Ending

Dislikes:
■ Bright, Ridiculous Makeup
■ Garish/Offensive Music
■ Smokes Fumes
■ Endings Where No One is Happy

Fear:
Cole fears that people will only ever see him for what he used to be or for what he looks like.

Desire:
All Cole wants is to find a way to become whole again...and stop hurting people.

Secret:
Cole had a stint as the most popular male stripper in a club in Philly.

History

History:
It’s really not hard to figure out where Coleson comes from. Whenever asked, he’ll break out into song: “WEST PHILADELPHIA, BORN AND RASIED ON A PLAYGROUND WHERE I SPENT MOST OF MY DAYS.” He really did grow up in the western part of Philadelphia, and it was there he was the happiest. He had a plethora of friends of all sizes, shapes, and colors, and his family was the sort that was tolerant of just about anyone. As a child, Cole was rather mischievous, but he never pulled anything above a minor prank. No, he knew anything above a prank could legitimately hurt someone, and he wouldn’t dare do that. His mother would be disappointed in him.

His mother, the light of his life. She raised him all alone, as his father died shortly before he was born. Sometimes she would come home late from work and cry. Cole would come into her room and crawl into her lap until she smiled and hugged him. He was the only one who could stop her tears.

Cole was a big music fan, but he began to see that as he got older, music focused more and more on one thing: sex. He was appalled; wasn’t there more to life than lust? Apparently not, since his first girlfriend tried to sleep with him two weeks after they started dating. Considering he was attractive at age fourteen, he wasn’t terribly surprised, but all the same, he knew he was too young for that, and he broke it off right away.

From then on, Cole dated around, only breaking it off right when the girl—or boy—decided it was time to go all the way. All the while, his mother started to grow more exhausted from working all night. And Cole knew exactly why: his mother, as beautiful as she was, was the most popular girl at the strip club she worked at. It wasn’t ever mentioned by his friends or other adults; after all, she was doing what she could to raise her son.

It soon became clear that she was working too hard, and one day she fell down and wouldn’t get up. She was rushed to the hospital, and Cole stayed by her side. At the time, he was eighteen. Weeks went by, and his mother slowly grew weaker. Eventually, the inevitable happened and she died clutching Cole’s hand. Numbly, he stumbled out of the hospital and went to a friend’s house, where he spent the night on a couch staring off into space.

He spiraled out of control, sleeping around without regard and working his ass off just to survive. Something cracked in him, and he became somewhat of a hypocrite. Life went on in slow motion for him, with fake smiles and sultry kisses lying in his wake.

Theme Song: "Express" from Burlesque and "Love Me Harder" by Ariana Grande ft. The Weeknd

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Glamour
By looking into someone’s eyes, Coleson can determine what attracts that person the most. Then, he can change his appearance to reflect that information. He’ll only appear this way to the person whose mind he “read.” To everyone else, he looks like normal Cole.
Restricting Box
Should he decide he needs to restrain an enemy, Cole can snap his fingers and trap them in a box, similar to the one he was kept in once upon a time. This box can only be broken by him, or by an incredible destructive force.

Drawbacks:
■ The glamour will break if someone realizes that Cole's using it, or if he's not particularly focused.
■ If not concentrating hard enough, Cole can trap himself in his own box and be unable to get out.

Skills:
Seduction
He’s not exactly proud of it, but Cole is damn good at seducing someone. He claims he doesn’t have to try hard to do it, but there’s a considerable effort put into it. Besides, it’s not like he’ll seduce someone who’s completely innocent. That person has to want it, too.
Rapping
For a white boy (his words), Cole is quite proficient at rapping. He can imitate the best and outshine the amateurs. He’s been known to write a few in his spare time.
Bartending
Cole worked as a bartender shortly before he was summoned to his university, so he can mix cocktails like nobody’s business. As such, he has a fairly vast knowledge of alcoholic drinks, and he’s got all the charisma to match such a job.

Weapons:
For whatever reason, Cole favors an ax. (He says it makes him look tough.)

Naomi Bernasconi

full

Basic Info

Full Name: Naomi Svenja Bernasconi

Nickname: Nomika, Sleepy

Age: 18

Birthday: June 26

Sign: Cancer

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual

Religion: Jewish

Country of Origin: Switzerland

Reincarnation Of: Hypnos

Appearance

Hair Color: Light Brown

Eye Color: Blue

Height: 5'2"

Weight: 106 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: Dark Circles Under Her Eyes

Personality

Personality:
Considering how sleepy Naomi often is, she usually seems a bit loopy and out of it. Her gaze may be sharp, but her mind is often unfocused, and her attention span is like that of a gnat. Though her education has proven that she is at least a bit intelligent, her actions belittle this thought, as she stumbles from one topic to the next with little to no grace, leaving herself embarrassed should someone seem to be judging her.

However, despite this loopiness, Naomi can make a concentrated effort to focus herself on the task at hand. She works hard to lessen her image of stupidity, though her mind still works slowly even in this state of concentration. Her natural kindness shows especially in these moments, and her few friends have often compared her to Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. While she may not talk about little heard of creatures, Naomi certainly resembles the blond witch, but she is far sleepier.

True to her nature, Naomi prefers to the sorts of music that one can fall asleep to, and her favorite instrument is the harp. She appreciates anyone who is nice to her, and to those she believes to be friends she is especially animated with.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Naomi is a master at helping people fall asleep, even if they have insomnia
■ Is sleeping considered good? She's good at that.
■ Despite seeming to have a foggy mind, Naomi has an excellent memory

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Her narcolepsy gets in the way of social situations sometimes
■ Naomi hates warm weather and prefers the cold, though she's a sucker for fuzzy blankets
■ Mentioning autism or anything else to do with her brother will cause her to stiffen

Quirks:
■ Sometimes Nomika wears pajamas instead of clothes
■ Nomika carries around a small teddy bear without being aware of it if she had just been taking a small nap
■ Nomika asks random, personal questions she has no business of knowing sometimes

Likes:
■ Sleep
■ Skiing/Snow
■ Her Younger Brother
■ Dark/Dim Environments

Dislikes:
■ Her Narcolepsy
■ Tropical Places
■ People Who Make Fun of Her Brother
■ Bright Lights

Fear:
Nomika fears that someday she will spiral back into addiction and hurt her family again.

Desire:
Nomika only wants to do something that will make her parents proud of her.

Secret:
Nomika hasn’t truly gotten over the drugs she was addicted to, but she tries her hardest to fight her dependence on them.

History

History:
Naomi was a sleepy child from the moment she was born. While this made life easier for her parents, they couldn’t help but express concern over their daughter’s health. It was soon discovered that she had a sleeping condition known as narcolepsy, in which she would fall asleep easily in relaxing surroundings. However, in her case, she would just fall asleep without any rhyme or reason. It was odd.

Of course, her parents tried all they could to make sure she stayed awake, but it became apparent to neighbors and teachers that there was only so much they could do. She took her medicine like a good girl, but she couldn’t help but wonder if any of it helped. The arrival of her younger brother when she was five didn’t help matters. He was born with autism, and Naomi could tell from her parents’ faces that they were exhausted from the combined weight of their children. So she strived to sleep less—er, to stop falling asleep. And for a while, it worked.

Naomi and her family were Jewish. Her nickname among family members was Nomika, or “little Naomi.” The name stuck, as she often looked like a child when asleep. Unfortunately, because of lingering sentiments of anti-Semitism and natural human cruelty, Nomika’s brother was teased. Being both Jewish and autistic didn’t sit well with some of his peers, and this pissed off Nomika to no end. She defended him whenever she could, but since she always looked so tired, the same kids would say she looked like an addict or a drunk.

Needless to say, Nomika didn’t think anything of it when she started taking drugs that weren’t her usual medicine. Her favorites were narcotics, for obvious reasons, and she found that some of them had an opposite effect on her and helped her stay awake. Her parents simply thought that her medicine was finally starting to work on her, and she didn’t dare tell them what was really happening.

Until one night, when her brother found her twitching on the floor and foaming at the mouth from an accidental overdose. He didn’t understand what had happened, but her mother did, and she called an ambulance right away.

A few months later, Naomi finally came home after spending some time in rehab. Her parents weren’t disappointed in her, but they were sad, too. Why hadn’t their daughter told them she had a problem? It could’ve been solved much sooner. Naomi shut herself in her room and slept, because that was the one thing she knew she could do right.

Instead of going to public school, her parents kept their children at home and homeschooled them now. They weren’t going to expose them to anything that would make them feel worse than they already did. To relax their son and daughter, they also took them skiing, and Naomi found a new love in it. It was the only physical activity she found herself loving.

There was another incident that occurred soon after Naomi started homeschooling. (And no, not because of the drug that comes from it.) A serial killer with no rhyme or reason had snuck into her house and into her bedroom. He’d been watching her family for quite some time and decided she was the perfect target. No one would miss a former addict, right? But just before he could slit her throat, she grabbed his arm, her eyes narrowed angrily but very much awake. With surprising strength, she beat him down. The man was caught and put to justice for his crimes, and Naomi’s parents were a bit shocked and terrified of their daughter. This sobered Naomi more than ever before. If even stopping a murderer didn’t make them proud of her, what would?

Years later, she received a mysterious letter that seemed connected to the strange mark on her chest. Perhaps this was finally her chance to truly fix herself.

Theme Song: "Waiting for Superman" by Daughtry

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Anesthesia
Usually, if Naomi is annoyed at the level of noise in a room she occupies while trying to sleep, she can exhale a sort of anesthetic that can either calm the other occupants of the room or put them fully to sleep. The “gas” will wear off, eventually, but Naomi has to wake up first…
Disturbed Slumber
Since Naomi falls asleep practically anywhere, it’s not hard to imagine that disturbing her is a bad idea. Should this power activate, that sentiment becomes reality. If someone tries to hurt her while she’s asleep, she will suddenly awaken, though she herself is unaware of this. In this state, she gains a sort of strength that allows her to knock back said enemy. This “trance” is not easily broken, but if she defeats what she perceives as the enemy, she will return to normal.

Drawbacks:
■ Naomi's strength of power often depends on how sleepy she is. So the sleepier she is, the greater or weaker some of her powers are...
■ Naomi actually cannot tell in her trance who is friend and who is foe. This is....obviously a problem....

Skills:
Crafts
Surprisingly, Naomi’s proficient at crafts such as weaving, sewing, or knitting, which she claims is because she loves making pillows and other comfortable things. She can mend things just as well.
Therapist
Considering she’s so calm all the time, Naomi’s wonderful at giving advice on how to alleviate stress or anger and calm down. How else did her brother stop throwing tantrums at one and a half years old?

Weapons:
Nomika has never encountered a weapon except the knife that nearly killed her.
She's quite indifferent about the subject.

Weight: 117 lbs; 123 lbs; 126 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: Spools of Thread on Their Right Shoulders--Appeared When They Awakened

Distinguishing Features: Worried Expression; Unimpressed Expression; Model Looks

Personality

Personality:
Topaz keeps to herself. Ever since the incident in high school, the only person she really talks to besides her sisters is her best friend, Oscar. Despite her isolation, Topaz inherently cares for other people, which has led to her agreeing to help the Greek reincarnations fight the cosmic force that’s after them. Other that that, Topaz mostly acts like she doesn’t care, though Oscar and her sisters have long seen beyond that and encouraged it, which tends to bring out her tsundere older sister side.

Sapphire has often been called the “weird” one of the Nicholson siblings. Sad things make her laugh, and happy things make her yawn. Her sisters have come to love that about her, but others tend to stay away because of it. However, Sapphire doesn’t really care, so long as she has her sisters. She finds it hard, though, to deny her attraction to mostly anything that moves, and so she tends to pursue those interests by openly flirting. Topaz and Pearl often have to hold her back before she does something she regrets, though Sapphire really just tries her hardest to live life to the fullest, especially since she’s not sure if her life will be turned on her head again.

Pearl is the baby of the family, to her chagrin. Not only is she the youngest sister, but two years separates her from Sapphire, the middle daughter. To distinguish herself from her sisters, Pearl fully invests herself in her interests, which include makeup and fashion. Considering her model looks, it’s not much of a stretch. However, she also has a particular interest in history, and so it’s her favorite class in school. Her bookshelves are filled with fashion magazines and historical biographies. She’s strange that way, but she wouldn’t change a thing. Except maybe the way her sisters treat her, which she finds pretty annoying… not that she’d ever mention it.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Topaz is a pancake master
■ Sapphire has unmatched people skills
■ Pearl somehow gets people to do favors for her without even thinking about it

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Out of the three, Topaz is the one who keeps the most to herself
■ Sapphire really loves cute girls and guys. How Topaz and Pearl hold her back, no one shall ever know
■ Pearl loves makeup and anything girly and will drop everything to look at it

Quirks:
■ Topaz: obsessed with her birthstone, addicted to anime, wears a gray hoodie all the time
■ Sapphire: laughs at sad endings in movies/books, tends to root for the villain, bites her lip as flirting tactic
■ Pearl: absolutely must wash her hair EVERY two days, always seems to be talking quietly, head-over-heels for Adam Levine

Likes (Shared):
■ Sunshine
■ Days Without Visions
■ Their Markings
■ Cats

Dislikes (Shared):
■ Being the Fates
■ When Their Fate Spirits Take Over
■ Ominous Visions
■ People Who Doubt Their Worth

Fear:
Topaz is afraid of something taking her sisters away from her.
Sapphire is deathly terrified of snakes. And elephants.
Pearl is afraid of bad hair days.

Desire:
Topaz wants to get rid of her ability to see the future.
Sapphire wants to protect Topaz.
Pearl wants to kiss a boy who likes her for her.

Secret:
Topaz had a vision of the outcome of all of this.
Sapphire once had cancer. Chemotherapy diminished the tumor, but it may come back.
Pearl hates her sisters sometimes.

History

History:
The Nicholson siblings have been stuck like glue since the moment they met each other. Topaz and Sapphire were a duo to be reckoned with, only to include their sister Pearl when she came along. To some, they seemed like triplets, but it was clear from the way they treated each other just the way one would expect three siblings to treat each other. Topaz was looked up to and admired, Sapphire stayed on the fringes and escaped their parents’ notice yet received most of their affections, and Pearl was treated like the baby.

To the three girls, other people weren’t exactly worth their time. Sure, Pearl and Sapphire had the social skills befitting of socialites, but they much preferred spending time with Topaz. All three of them kept their hearts locked away from everyone but each other, and even though they had done this to themselves, there was something in each of them that regretted it, hated it even. If they could not love anyone but each other, how could they ever expect to live their lives?

Finally, the girls reached high school. Well, Topaz did. She found that she enjoyed her classes in high school, and she spent more and more time alone, studying or reading a book. It was a strange change from the loving older sister she’d been before. In response to this change, Sapphire suddenly started socializing with other girls her age, and so did Pearl. Sapphire soon had a close knit group of friends, and Pearl was friends with just about everybody, including the “popular” kids in her grade.

But while her sisters’ social lives thrived, Topaz continued isolating herself from people in general. Some questioned whether or not she was related to Sapphire and Pearl at all, considering their tremendous differences. To her, that was alright, because her sisters seemed happy. Their dynamic had not been ruined completely, but it was a tad strained.

It wasn’t until something happened to each of them that they realized they had grown too far apart.

During Topaz’s senior year in high school, she was cornered by the popular girls of her grade. They didn’t understand why she was alone on purpose, why she decided that other people were “unworthy” of her time. To teach her a lesson, they started clawing at her with their nails and tearing out her hair. Her clothes were shredded and her school things were nearly destroyed. The attacks stopped, and when Topaz looked up, there was a boy standing there, his face twisted in anguish. He was a classmate of hers, one who had wanted to befriend her but had been too afraid and shy. It didn’t take long before he became Topaz’s best friend.

Around the same time, Sapphire was a junior in high school, and she was diagnosed with cancer. Surprised, she withdrew suddenly from her friend group, though they tried to stick by her. Sapphire went through the treatment, which took nearly the entire year, but thankfully, there was eventually no traces of the cancer left in her body. By the time she came back to her friends, they had completely iced her out. She had left them behind and refused to let them in, and though they had once said they’d always be there for her, they hadn’t forgiven her. It was a shocking and saddening day.

Pearl was a freshmen when a jealous girl began spreading rumors that she was a no-good slut. According to the girl’s lies, Pearl had slept with the entire football team, and though the players themselves knew it wasn’t true, they had no way of confirming about their teammates. The girl continued to spread the lies, so much so that every guy leered at her in the hallways and every girl turned their back on her. With this final blow, the Nicholson girls became the outcasts of the school. Their only friend was Topaz’s new best friend, Oscar. He understood the truths behind the high school lies, and he made sure to stay by their side.

So it wasn’t all that surprising when all three girls went to the same university and rented an apartment together. It was soon after Pearl came to the apartment then that they realized they had become the Fates.

And they had to leave their only friend behind.

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Topaz: Future
Topaz has the worst ability of the three sisters. She can see into the future and predict its events. However, her visions are unclear most of the time, or they traumatize her. It all depends on the context of the vision.
Sapphire: Present
While seeing the present may seem useless, Sapphire's ability is what helped the three sisters find the gods, heroes, and Titans. She can see what's happening at any given moment, but like Topaz, her vision is limited.
Pearl: Past
Pearl's visions are the least limited, but that is because she can only view the past. Since the past cannot be changed in any way, she sees the full extent of the past of someone or something.
The Fates: Telepathy
How else did the Fates send those messages? They are able to communicate telepathically from anywhere with each other and the other reincarnations.

Drawbacks:
■ The Fates' telepathy is indirect. The reincarnations have no idea it's them talking in their heads.
■ The visions and telepathy wears out the Fates, as they are still getting used to their human limitations.

Skills:
People Skills
All three have their own level of people skills. Though Topaz's are weakest, she's only slightly below her sisters in this regard.
Strategic
The sisters have pretty much read and watched the same exact things, so they've learned a lot together. As such, they often come up with strategies together.

Weapons:
Well. Pearl's got scissors.
That's it.

The Seas Be Ours and by the Powers

Personality:
Amberly is the definition of an independent woman. She does everything on her own and refuses help from anyone in passing. If she does ask for help, it’s a miracle of an occurrence. Sexism and misogyny are her mortal enemies, and she will get up in the face of anyone who tries to box her up in an image of a damsel in distress, weak and unassuming.

Though she’s surprisingly ladylike and polite, Amberly defies tradition with every fiber of her being. Something in her respects decorum, but she has practically no sense of propriety. She’ll blurt out anything that’s on her mind, whether or not it actually has anything to do with the conversation. At times, she’s a bit of a scatterbrain, but she’s brilliant when she puts her mind to it.

There are certain people that annoy her to no end. To make it clear that she doesn’t like them, she’ll use big words and complex sentences to confuse them. Even if she does like them, the big words just seem to slip out. It must have something to do with the time period she's sure she's from, which is certainly not the one she's been thrust into.

Never doubt, however, whether her moral compass is intact. She knows clear right from wrong, but she’ll do pretty much anything if it means good wins out in the end. Her methods may seem immoral at first, but she’ll do them purely for the sake of good, or what she deems as good. What she perceives as evil will always hold a special place on her list of enemies.

Where We Will We'll Roam

Past Life: (RTMK)
Elizabeth Swann was the daughter of the governor of Port Royal, a colony of the British Empire. Her peaceful life was ruined by a band of pirates attacking the port and taking her hostage, all because of a medallion she had kept from her childhood friend, Will Turner. He and an infamous captain named Jack Sparrow came to rescue her, and they in turn managed to life a hideous curse from this crew. That was only the beginning, however.

Instead of marrying James Norrington, Elizabeth decided to marry her love, Will Turner, but their wedding was interrupted by a certain Lord Cutler Beckett, who arrested them for having assisted Jack’s escape from execution months before. She managed to escape in an effort to find Will, only to find that he was on The Flying Dutchman. By the time they reunited, she had fallen half in love with Jack, unfortunately. A Kraken came and attacked The Black Pearl, Jack Sparrow’s beloved vessel, and though they drove it away briefly, they knew the beast wasn’t finished with them. So, Elizabeth chained Jack to the ship and fled with Will and the others, leaving the pirate to the Kraken.

The situation with Beckett got worse. He was slowly taking over the seas, having acquired Davy Jones’s heart and thus control of the Dutchman. Elizabeth and Will had drifted away thanks to a misunderstanding, but they both aided in a plan to get Jack back from Davy Jones’s Locker. By some twist of fate after they succeeded in that venture, Elizabeth became Sao Feng’s successor and a pirate captain. Once she made it to the Brethren Court at Shipwreck Cove, she was elected Pirate King, courtesy of Jack. A harsh battle between the pirates and Beckett’s army ensued—or, rather, the Black Pearl and Dutchman. Will asked Elizabeth to marry him, and with the help of Captain Hector Barbossa, they were finally married. However, Davy Jones nearly took his life, and to save him, Jack had him pierce Jones’s heart. That meant that Will had to take his place as the captain of the Dutchman.

Though she could only see him once every ten years, Elizabeth was happy that she had married the man he loved, and she still saw him every day in the face of their son, Henry.

History/Our World: (WDU/RTMK)
Maybe it was that her father took her on his yacht all the time, or maybe it was that the idea seemed fun, but Amberly wanted to a pirate from the moment she could wake and say “Aye aye!” She loved the smell of the fresh sea air, and the water felt wonderful whenever she swam in it. The sea was her home away from home, and it was her favorite thing in the world.

Her father was the head of a shipping company, and he made a point of teaching his daughter how to sail. Her mother owned a popular bookstore, but she’d divorced her husband a long time ago. Amberly held no ill will toward the situation. There had been no major argument. They just hadn’t seen eye-to-eye. All their daughter wanted was for them to be happy, and being together hadn’t done that for them. It was a weird philosophy, to be sure, but it wasn’t the craziest.

Because her father was so prominent, there were all sorts of boys that came knocking, asking her out. With a perfectly arched eyebrow or a saccharine smile, she’d turn them away and slam the door in their faces. Sailing would take her mind off of it, but she couldn’t help but wonder if there’d ever be a time when a boy would look at her and see more than just her father’s company. Yes, he was rich, but that didn’t mean diddly squat in the long run. There was no man who was more philanthropic.

Of course, it eventually all went downhill. The company went bankrupt somehow, and Amberly’s father had to give up the yacht. No more were her afternoons of sailing. She was crushed. Under his direction, she went to live with her mother, but a certain sadness had come over her now that she was away from the water. She’d do anything to be out there with the wind in her hair again.

That was why when a boy offered to take her out on his father’s boat, she took the chance. Little did she know, however, that the boy only wanted to take advantage of her. He pinned her to the deck and tried to rip off her clothes, but unfortunately for him, she’d trained herself in self-defense. No boy was going to take advantage of her while she still drew breath. She kicked him between the legs and threw him off the boat. By the time the police arrived, she was leaning on the deck railing smirking down at the boy as he struggled to swim.

Amberly had had it with boys now. She turned down every single one and absolutely refused to talk to any who seemed shady. Even nice guys got on her nerves. Who were they fooling? In her eyes, all boys but her father were selfish and greedy. They were all idiots.

And she’s been living by that philosophy ever since.

History: (DLM)
Amberly remembers...

1. Will.
Will Turner. She knows she loves him, but she doesn't remember why. Nor does she remember anything about their romance or anything they ever did together or any fights they might've had. But she does remember saying the words "I do" and kissing him in the rain. It was the best moment of the life she doesn't remember.

2. She...killed a man???
He was really annoying, that much she knows. And there was definitely a kiss involved, but the details are incredibly fuzzy.

3. She was a king.
Yeah... She's not really sure what that means. "Pirate King" seems like a weird title...

But I Don't Care

Personality:
Above all else, never doubt that Theresa is a tomboy to the core. She hates all things girly, and she refuses to identify herself as one of those “girly girls” that she believes populate the world. However, it’s hard to deny that she’s very motherly, and with her New Orleans accent, it’s very obvious that she considers most people around her to be family.

Terry works hard to fulfill her dreams, and as such, she’s reliable in all situations and responsible in most. Despite her hardworking attitude, her aura is seemingly carefree, especially when she’s in one of her flirty moods. With those she first meets and finds attractive, she seems to have no boundaries, and an easy smirk will come to her face, along with some flirty words. With those she’s known for a while, not so much. She hates making awkward situations, and flirting with people she knows spells exactly that type of situation. Thankfully, her flirty mood is often over-powered by her no-nonsense attitude that often comes with "keeping the boys in line" as she likes to put it. Hard work comes first and foremost.

Really, Terry is quite vulnerable. She fears that she doesn't have any friends to rely on, though she seems to remember that she did have them. Most of all, she's afraid that her hardworking attitude is off-putting to some, that she's throwing away the only life she has to work so hard. But if she's following her dreams, then it's not a waste, is it?

Trials and Tribulations

Past Life: (RTMK)
From a very young age, Tiana showcased a gift for cooking. She and her father dreamed of opening a restaurant together so people from all around could get a taste of their food, but unfortunately, he died before that dream could come true. Still, Tiana continued working to save money to buy the dream spot for her restaurant. However, she found out that the sugar mill she had her eye on was also sought after by someone with more money. During her best friend's costume party, she found herself in the presence of a talking frog who claimed to be the visiting Prince Naveen of Maldonia, whom Lottie's party was for. In an effort to change him back into a prince, Tiana kissed him, but she turned into a frog herself! Desperately, they raced away from the Shadow Man, Dr. Facilier, who had turned Naveen into a frog in the first place, and instead they looked for Mama Odie, who would change them back. Along the way, Naveen and Tiana realized they'd fallen in love with each other, and after she defeated Facilier, they decided to stay together as frogs.

They married and changed back into humans, and Naveen and Tiana opened up the restaurant together, living happily ever after. They had dug a little deeper and found what they needed.

History/Our World: (WDU/RTMK)
The Russells were closely knit family of three living a typical middle class life. Every day was possibly more average than the last, but there was a certain charm to it that kept the Russells happy. Theresa was a blessing to her parents, especially when they discovered her gift for cooking at a very young age. She had a way of making every meal she cooked taste like home. Her food brought people together, and that was what made her gift special.

However, when Terry was still a young girl, her father died in the line of duty while in the army. Though Terry grieved, she knew that he was still watching over her, and she worked hard to make her dream of bringing smiles to people’s faces come true. Wishing on stars became a weekly pastime for her and her mother, who worked hard to keep her little girl safe and happy, but not so hard that she was too tired to spend time with her.

Come high school, Terry quickly became the favorite of her Home Ec teacher, as she was possibly the best chef in her class. Those who were not so hot with cooking were impressed, and some even asked for tutoring in cooking. That was how Terry met her first boyfriend. As time passed, she fancied herself in love with him, but it wouldn’t last very long.

One day, Terry discovered she was pregnant. At first, her mother was shocked, but after a moment, she shrugged it off, saying, “I’m going to have grandchildren! I didn’t think I’d ever have them!” Her boyfriend, however, wasn’t so accepting, and he demanded that Terry reverse the situation immediately. Terry refused to take away the life of the child she was carrying, and she broke things off with him.

It didn’t take long for Terry to find out she was expecting twins. If it was possible, she and her mother were more excited than they had been before. Months passed with Terry being homeschooled so as to make her situation easier, and her mother crossed off the days until the babies would come.

The twins did indeed come, but while the first one survived, the second one was a stillborn. Overcome by grief, Terry decided the best option was give the survivor, a baby girl, away for adoption. Her mother accepted her decision without protest, as she knew just how much pain her daughter was in.

It took a few years, but by now, Terry’s moved on for the most part, occasionally checking up on the family that adopted her baby girl, and stopping by the grave of her other child, a boy that never got to open his eyes to see her.

Needless to say, her image of him haunts her day by day.

History: (DLM)
Theresa remembers...

1. Her daddy's dream.
Her daddy believed in her cooking ability, and so did she. She remembers very clearly the dream they had to open up their own restaurant, and her determination to make that wish come true.

2. She kissed a frog.
Why was she dressed like a princess? That's really the only detail that confuses her. That and the fact that the frog talked.

3. The boys. (Ray, Louis, Naveen)
They had swamp gumbo...whatever that means. And one of them meant a lot more to her than the others...

Rufus and Ron Stoppable and Our Best Friend, Kim Possible

Personality:
Richard’s caring and down to earth attitude tends to be overshadowed by his general silliness. He’s rambunctious and loud, and sometimes he’s even a bit careless. This tends to translate into an easygoing aura. However, it’s clear that those he’s close to mean a lot to him, especially his brother. Anyone who means even a little to him knows just how caring he is. That side of him is demonstrated through passing words or gestures he clearly plans out ahead of time.

At pretty much all times, Ricky is lovesick over some girl or other. Though many would argue this isn’t real love, with Ricky, it truly is. Any girl he meets he immediately finds a reason to love. Basically, Ricky believes that everyone has something inside them that’s worthy of love, and he exhibits this belief by loving every girl he meets. Thus, compliments from his lips carry actual weight, as he is incapable of lying to someone. (That and it’s very easy to tell when he is lying.)

Because of past events where he was bullied, Ricky is very cautious around those he feels have the capability to insult him. He’s the same way when he feels he’s about to encounter a dangerous situation: cautious. When he refuses to do something, he does it in a very loud, very obvious way. Occasionally, he’ll take things very seriously, and when he does, it takes a lot of convincing and plenty of nachos to convince him to think otherwise. Ricky is quite stubborn when he wants to be, but maybe that’s what makes him such a great person to be around.

For some reason or other, Ricky really loves naked mole rats. It's half the reason he works at a zoo.

We're Not Afraid of Any Attack

Past Life: (RTMK)
Ron Stoppable was the not-so-famous sidekick to teen crime fighter Kim Possible, who also happened to be his childhood best friend. Most of their adventures revolved stopping the evil deeds of the diabolical Dr. Drakken and Shego, as well as some other villains. Along with this work came the responsibility of high school, which wasn't easy considering how rough school itself is.

But with his naked mole rat Rufus on his shoulder, Ron was able to balance it all, and along the way, he and Kim began dating. And whenever someone called, Kim and Ron were there to save the day.

History/Our World: (WDU/RTMK)
Richard liked being an only child much like most children do, but when he was six, he was extremely excited when his parents told him he was getting a little brother. Baby Reginald, or Reggie for short, was a blessing to the entire Stockenberg family. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for them to figure out that Reggie would never utter a word to them, for he was mute. Despite this, Ricky loved him above everyone else, and he was the best big brother anyone could ask for.

Though he was a hero at home, Ricky was the typical bullied kid at school. Somehow, he was just an easy target for those stronger than him. He sought refuge in books and movies, a distraction that worked quite effectively. His mind settled into analyzing these books and movies down to their basic concepts, which is what got him into the major he chose for college today.

True to form, Ricky’s interests spanned a great deal, for one of his favorite destinations was the zoo, where he could watch the naked mole rats scurry around for hours. Even he wasn’t sure what he found so fascinating about them, but for some reason, he felt a sort of kinship with them and other rodents. They were often ridiculed for being who they were, much like he was, which was probably why he refused to use mouse traps anywhere. To him, every person and every animal had the right to enjoy life.

Above all, Ricky put Reggie first. As his younger brother grew up, he could tell life was hard on the mute boy. People didn’t understand at first what was going on with him, and it took weeks and even months to convince them that Reggie wasn’t rude; he just couldn’t speak.

There was only one time when Ricky snapped on Reggie’s behalf. He was a senior in high school, and Reggie was in middle school. Every day, Ricky would pick Reggie up on his way home from school. But one day, his brother was late in meeting him. Suspicious, Ricky got out of the car and went searching for Reggie. When he found the younger boy, he’d been cornered by some larger boys, and they were beating him up, taunting him to speak and defend himself against their insults.

Ricky lost it. He dove in and did to the boys what they had done to Reggie. Then, he took his smaller brother in his arms and took him to the hospital. Because the bullies themselves were bigger and more physically fit, they didn’t retain nearly as much damage as Reggie did. Ricky refused to leave his brother’s side the entire time he was in the hospital.

From then on, Ricky promised to protect his brother better, so that he would never suffer as he had before. If it was even possible, Reggie was even more timid than he had been before, and he clung to Ricky more tightly than he had even as a baby.

And if Ricky could help it, that’s the way it would always be.

Country of Origin: Germany

Reincarnation Of: Echo

Appearance

Hair Color: Black/Dark Brown

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Height: 5'5"

Weight: 114 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: Mockingbird on Lower Back

Distinguishing Features: Cat Eye Eyeliner, Smile

Personality

Personality:
Gwendolyn exhibits a very angelic aura, though this is mostly because she bottles up any dark feelings that result from her grieving her parents and lost voice. The dark thoughts have become some of her most profound lyrics and poems (which she has recently gotten into), though she wishes there was more sunlight in her heart. Since light is so rare to her heart, Gwen loves butterflies and birds and enjoys photographing them in their natural habitats.

Though she tries her best to do so, Gwen finds it hard to trust other people. This is a defense mechanism to make sure she doesn’t get too close to someone that can just as easily be taken away from her. Her cousin Heinrich remains the only person she really trusts, though she has a great fear that he’ll someday be taken away from her the way her parents were taken from her.

More than anything else in the world, however, Gwen misses singing. She wishes for her voice to return, which she has been told is a possibility, though for now she remains mute. Ever since she discovered her power, she can speak again, but only with someone else’s voice. She wants to speak with her own voice again so she can once again express her feelings the only way she knows how.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Finding positives
■ Taking artsy pictures
■ Sign language

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Often sees the negatives
■ Retreats into herself at the first sign of overbearing emotion
■ Negative emotions in general

Quirks:
■ Will watch a butterfly if it flies past her, very closely

Fear:

Desire:
Gwen dreams of using her own voice again.

Secret:
Gwen once considered killing herself to join her parents. Heinrich stopped her.

History

History:
From a very young age, Gwendolyn was praised for her singing voice. Her parents called her their little “songbird” and would often ask her to sing for them. Gwen happily obliged, for she loved singing more than anything else in the whole world. Music defined her very essence, her soul, and her life. It was her favorite pastime. Because of her angelic voice and appearance, her parents enjoyed taking photographs of their little angel, which inspired Gwen’s secondary love of photography.

Gwen spent most of her life singing or taking pictures of the world around her. She found there was something about this world that was beautiful beyond compare, and she often fell to singing about it. Her parents allowed her to take singing lessons (though they insisted she didn’t need them), and this allowed Gwen to hold recitals for her parents and her neighbors. Gwen became the jewel of her little town, a sweet, lovable girl that everyone knew, and everyone was her friend.

This all changed when Gwen was thirteen.

There was no explanation given for the events that transpired one wintry night in their small German town. Gwen had just seen a movie with her parents, and she was skipping ahead of them and chattering about what they had just seen.

When she turned around, she began screaming.

Her screams echoed throughout the town, and many neighbors came running. By the time they found Gwen, she was kneeling, sobbing, by the bodies of her beloved parents. They were bleeding from multiple stab wounds that Gwen had watched the murderer inflict on them. As a result of her prolonged screaming, Gwen had lost her precious singing voice.

The town went into mourning. The Kaisers had been an active family in the community, what with their daughter always singing for everyone and their constant volunteering. With her parents gone, Gwen artistic side took a dark turn. Now, she only saw the bad in everything, and any songs she wrote were ballads of heartache and sadness. But she couldn’t sing her own songs, and that was what hurt the most.

Gwen had to move across Germany to live with her eldest and favorite cousin, Heinrich, who made it his mission to teach her how to communicate without her voice. Slowly, he began to break a teenage Gwen out of her depression, though she still mourned her parents. He became her confidant, and she was like a daughter to him. Before long, she found herself writing happier songs again, and even taking more photographs than she had in the period after her parents’ deaths.

However, though the murderer has long since been arrested and sent to jail, Gwen still finds herself missing her parents and the voice she lost grieving them.

Theme Song: "I'll Find You" by Lecrae ft. Tori Kelly

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Voice Mimicry
Despite being mute, Gwen can use this power to speak. However, she can only mimic another person's voice and speak as they do. This includes their native language, dialect, and accent.
Copycat
Gwen can completely copy someone else's abilities and powers, essentially becoming that person save for their appearance.

Drawbacks:
■ Gwen can only mimic someone's voice that she has heard before, and she will only mimic it for about ten to thirty minutes, depending on her level of concentration.
■ For Gwen to copy someone, she would need to see at least one of their powers or abilities once, and she can only copy one person at a time. The copying lasts for only an hour, and will she will stop copying at exactly that time.

Skills:
Singing (Formerly)
Gwen was once compared to an angel straight from heaven.
Songwriting
Gwen can still write songs, and many have asked if they can sing them, but Gwen refuses to give them away.
Photography
Nature is her muse, and so Gwen tries to capture it. She hopes to turn this into a career since singing is no longer an option...

Weapons:
Her voice... sorta

Sexuality: Pansexual

Religion: Atheist

Country of Origin: England --> United States

Reincarnation Of: Eros

Appearance

Hair Color: Light Brown

Eye Color: Blue

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 121 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: Heart-Tipped Arrow Down Right Arm

Distinguishing Features: Her Lips

Personality

Personality:
To be perfectly frank, Ali’s pretty much all about sex. If she finds you attractive, she’ll probably try to get you into bed, provided you entertain her for long enough. As a master of flirting and seduction, it usually doesn’t take very long, unless she’s not trying very hard. Flirting and seduction seem to be her only pastime, though she claims that there’s more to her than lust. You just… have to look hard enough at her.

Ali’s hardly ever serious about anything, and she also can’t take anything seriously. Serious relationships are a big nope for her, considering the utter hell her only serious one was, but serious friendships are okay, so long as said friend is okay with her crazy flirting and occasional sexual jokes directed at them. She’s not really into opening up, however, as she likes to pretend she doesn’t have any vulnerabilities.

Another facet of Ali that she utilized many times in high school is her matchmaking ability. She jokes that she’s the “sexy female Cupid” from another dimension who can sense when two people belong together. She loves love, the idea of it at least, though she’s fairly sure it’s not something that’s right for herself. Ali might want it someday, but for now, she’ll take the satisfying physical stuff and leave the emotional stuff to other people.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Flirty flirting
■ Sex *wink wink*
■ Matchmaking

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Emotional attachments
■ Violence makes her nervous
■ Really can't handle un-seduce-able people

Quirks:
■ Treats friends like love interests much of the time
■ Sticks her tongue out as a way of flirting.... for some reason

Likes:
■ Sex
■ Pretty People
■ Matchmaking
■ The idea of love

Dislikes:
■ Bad Sex
■ Failed Matchmaking
■ Being Treated Like an Object
■ Her Half-Siblings

Fear:
Ali's afraid that she'll become nothing more than a shell for sex, like her mother.

Desire:
Ali someday wants to find someone like her first real love, without all the pain and heartache.

Secret:
Ali's first boyfriend got her pregnant shortly before they broke it off. She had the baby, but gave him away because she knew she'd be a bad mother.

History

History:
Many say it was quite fitting that Alice Dixon was the product of an illicit relationship. Her father was a bigshot businessman in the United States who’d started his own business when he was eighteen years old. Sometime early in his marriage, he met Ali’s mum in England, who was a, um… Well. She was a prostitute. That was another thing many found fitting about Alice Dixon’s origin. When Ali’s mum found out she was pregnant, she was disappointed in herself. The guy had been cute and all, but seriously?

She really had no choice in the matter, so she decided to take a break from her, um, job. When Ali was born, she said it was like all her sins had been washed away. (Ali had never liked this line; to this day it is her dislike of this line that fuels her refusal to believe in God.) But she needed to feed the kid, so she continued her line of work.

Ali grew up around scantily dressed women and leering men. She was the sweetheart of back alley corner brothel, which was… weird, to say the least, especially since all the women there were rough and tumble. It was from her mother that Ali learned how to flirt and seduce. At the age of eight. But it was an important skill, Ali’s mum argued, at least when you really wanted that chocolate chip cookie little Willy had.

The Dixon women continued to live in the brothel until Ali was sixteen. At this point, Ali was in charge of keeping up the appearance of a legit business whenever someone came sniffing around suspiciously. Ali had the strange ability of making anything seem real by simply smiling and fluttering her eyelashes. (And no, she does not have Charmspeak, so that is not the cause.) Unfortunately, it was around this time that Ali’s mum found out she had an STD, and because she’d discovered it too late, it was also too late to save her. (Ali later found out it was most likely syphilis.) Before she died, Ali’s mum managed to tell her the name of her father, and so Ali packed her bags and went to find the man who was responsible for her existence (using her mother’s remaining money to buy a plane ticket to the U.S.).

When she found her father, he did a double take. For a second, he’d thought it was a ghost from his past come back to remind him of the one night he’d strayed. In a way, it was. And boy, was he surprised. When Ali told him that her mum was dead, and she needed a place to crash, he reluctantly took her in.

Ali had picked up some bad habits from the brothel. She almost automatically became a famous playgirl in her high school, flirting with and seducing boys and girls left and right, as well as some occasional matchmaking. The school wasn’t quite sure how to react to such open sexuality. But Ali did. It was funny, really, because Ali’s half-siblings (products of a legitimate relationship, as she liked to call them) were so embarrassed by her actions, they tried to get her father to stop her. However, Ali’s father saw Ali as the last bit of her mother, so he did nothing, much to his wife’s chagrin.

Everything changed when Ali entered into the most destructive relationship she’d ever been in.

Ali wasn’t much for college, so she instead decided to get a job and hopefully not go into her mother’s line of work. It was at a waitressing job (in a bar, mind you) that she met him. They hit it off right away and were together whenever they were off work, until they were living together. Despite what her high school behaviors may suggest, her first time was with this boy, but it was from then on that everything spiraled out of control. Somehow, they both became incredibly possessive and began to hate each other. It was a relationship straight out of an Eminem song. Their love spiraled into hatred and anger as they slowly devolved into venomous words and fists thrown at the wall. Eventually, Ali realized the folly of a relationship like this, and she packed her bags and left him before either one of them got hurt.

Though Ali continued her illicit behavior, she was careful not to enter into another serious relationship, for fear that it would become another Eminem song. She didn’t want to risk hurting herself—or nearly hurting herself—just because she really liked the way some guy’s abs looked.

(Because, really, that’s kinda a sad reason to begin with.)

Theme Song: "Love the Way You Lie" by Eminem ft. Rihanna

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Seduction
This power is activated by fluttering her eyelashes. By aiming said fluttering at a specific target, Ali can completely seduce whoever the person is. She would not/cannot force that person into doing anything, but they would become irresistibly attracted to her.
Love Arrows
Once she regains her bow and arrows, Ali can shoot arrows at two people, causing them to become attracted to each other/fall in love. It's an intense form of matchmaking, but one that Ali finds she likes...which is kinda bad.

Drawbacks:
■ Ali's seduction lasts for as long as she pays attention to the person involved.
■ The arrows will only work if the two people are looking at each other. Otherwise, one of the intended targets might fall in love with a rock.

Skills:
Sex
Okay, please don't ask for an explanation of this one.
Matchmaking
Ali knows a couple when she sees one. She'll do her best to make sure they get together...without making it completely obvious.
Origami
Random, but apparently Ali really likes folding paper.

Weapons:
Bow and arrows

Garett Merenda
(The Pained Gardener)

Garett Merenda
(Tom Holland)
full

Basic Info

Full Name: Garett Vincent Merenda

Nickname: Gare

Age: 20

Birthday: April 16

Sign: Aries

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Homosexual

Religion: Catholic

Country of Origin: Portugal

Reincarnation Of: Demeter

Appearance

Hair Color: Dark/Light Brown

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Height: 5'8"

Weight: 141 lbs

Tattoos/Markings: N/A

Distinguishing Features: Baby Face : 3

Personality

Personality:
Garett is a self-proclaimed tree-hugger. He loves nature and everything that has to do with it, especially the flora aspect of the flora and fauna. Whenever he gardens, his plants flourish, and he can’t help but grow everything, despite its appearance. He believes that everything about nature is beautiful, which has earned some strange looks, especially when it comes to Venus flytraps and the like.

Being a formerly closeted gay man, Garett is very firm in his beliefs about the LGBTQ+ community, and his beliefs about pretty much anything else. When a group of boys beat him up for being gay, he was hurt, but he didn’t try to change himself just to make them happy. He likes boys, and he’s not about to change that.

Unfortunately, Garett’s sexuality has caused him much strife, as first his school then his parents made him feel like an outcast, so Garett kinds to hide that info from others. If they ask, he dodges the question. He’s not much for admitting something when he’s unsure of the response. Garett hates it when other people ridicule those like him, but he’d do anything to avoid the ridicule before it can happen, which is unfortunately… contradictory.

Strengths/Virtues:
■ Great at gardening
■ Very pro-environment and everything to do with it
■ Fights for what he believes

Weaknesses/Vices:
■ Still mildly closeted
■ Often gets really angry when it comes to environmental issues
■ A sucker for lollipops

Quirks:
■ Incredibly carnivorous when it comes to bacon
■ Will sometimes act closeted even around people who know

Likes:
■ Guys
■ Gardening
■ Recycling
■ His Sister

Dislikes:
■ School
■ Being Called a "Hippie"
■ The Situation with His Parents
■ Fire

Fear:
Garett is afraid that someone else will try to hurt him for being gay.

Desire:
Garett wants to feel safe, more than anything else.

Secret:
Jodelle and Garett regularly attended therapy for a while due to the emotional stress their parents put them through.

History

History:
When he was a kid, Garett was praised as his parents’ little “hippie.” He cared about the world around him, and he even cared for his own garden in the backyard. Garett loved the environment around him, and for some reason, his vegetable garden was the best anyone in town had ever seen. Unfortunately, this meant that most of the other boys in school teased him for not being manly enough to their liking. So, needless to say, a lot of girls became Garett’s circle of friends.

Throughout his life, Garett found it easier to become friends with girls than guys. When he was around guys, he felt uncomfortable, though he wasn’t sure why. Interacting with girls was easier, and they understood him better than most boys do. It didn’t take him long to figure out he was gay, but he kept this a secret from others because he wasn’t sure how others would react to the revelation.

Naturally, the truth came out anyway.

He was confiding in his best friend, Sofia, when one of the meaner boys in school overheard him. Faster than the speed of light, he spread the news around school that Garett Merenda was gay. Just as fast, he became an outcast among the boys, while many of the girls stayed with and comforted him.

The boys apparently didn’t like this, because one day, they cornered him after school and beat him up, calling him a tree-hugging pansy and all sorts of other derogatory names. Instead of consoling their son, Garett’s parents completely rejected him. They couldn’t believe that any son of theirs was gay, and they refused to accept him anymore.

Ousted at home and at school, Garett turned to the only other person who could him: Jodelle, his older sister. She took him in, and he’s been living with her ever since. And with Jodelle with him, he hasn’t felt as rejected as he did at school and with their parents, probably because Jodelle was also gay.

And yet he still fears the pain that came from his admission.

Theme Song: "Wolf" by First Aid Kit

Powers and Abilities

Powers:
Flourishing Nature
By being in contact with something in nature, Garett can put out an aura that makes everything around him grow and flourish.
Season Change
As the myth surrounding Persephone states, Garett can cause the season in his immediate area to change from spring/summer to autumn/winter.

Drawbacks:
■ Depending on how much nature is around him (including most plants), Gare's energy will most likely drain very fast, causing a good amount of growth, but not too much. The growth will also recede after a certain amount of time.
■ Causing seasons to change causes Gare to pass out. The seasons will remain changed until he wakes up, having regained his energy.

Skills:
Gardening
Need some fruits or veggies? Gare grows 'em like a pro.
Cooking
Okay, yes. He really loves cooking. Shut up.
Protesting
Garett will quite often protest and advocate for his individual rights and freedoms, sometimes for no reason... He's a bit touchy.

Weapons:
Nature

D J A L I

God Help the Outcasts

Personality:
Josephine comes across as a generally sweet girl, but she has a mild dark side that only comes out when she makes a pessimistic comment. Because of what she perceives as her sister "betraying" her, Jolie finds it hard to trust too many people. Those she does trust are measured up to a sort of standard; she expects that the people in her "circle of trust" won't betray her. If they do, she will take it hard, almost as hard as she did when her sister ran away. Should someone betray her trust, she will immediately be unable to trust them ever again, unless the person in question gives her a reason to do so. (It has to be a really good reason.)

With her friends, Jolie is a sweet, loyal girl. She'd do anything for her friends (that isn't illegal) and will try to make their day. For the most part, Jolie tries to befriend anyone in the business of music or performing, unless of course it's a blond man. (A personal grudge based upon her brother-in-law.) Helpful to a fault, Jolie is always willing to help out a friend in need, but she abhors conflict. Maybe it's the influence of her family, but Jolie tries to calm conflicts down and stops arguments with friends before they can start. This has turned her into a sort of "yes girl."

Jolie has an endless imagination that results in her writing all types of songs. She loves music above all else, but she ends up isolating herself out of shame. For all she knows, people lied to her when they told her she had a pretty voice and plays music well, so she often hides this talent. Her dancing, however, is well known, as is her ability to teach it.

Though she contradicts herself with almost everything she does, Jolie is the type of girl you can easily befriend, so long as your intentions are pure and your words sincere.

Virtues:
■ Charity
■ Imaginative
■ Endurance
■ Loyalty
■ Peacefulness

Vices:
■ Dependency
■ Shame
■ Pessimism
■ Isolation
■ Gloominess

Quirks:
■ Will sometimes take a bite out of something inedible

Habits:
■ Wears only one earring at a time
■ Checks for letters from her sister

Likes:
■ Goats
■ Music
■ Gold Earrings
■ Her Nephew
■ Whittling

Dislikes:
■ Blond Men
■ Her Sister
■ Stone Statues
■ Meat
■ Inappropriate Dances

Fear:
Not Being Able to Take Care of Quincy, Making Her Sister's Mistakes

Or Nobody Will

Past Life: (RTMK)
Djali was Esmeralda's best friend...and a goat. He danced with her on the streets of Paris to earn what little money they could get to help them survive, as the authorities in Paris did not look upon gypsies favorably. Djali defended her against Captain Phoebus, who only ever tried to help her, and he was the one who warned Esmeralda when Phoebus and Quasimodo were about to be executed at the hands of the Court of Miracles. In the end, Djali was always by his best friend's side, protecting her and giving comfort whenever she needed it.

History/Our World: (WDU/RTMK)
When Josephine was young, her family lived as a group of traveling gypsies. At least, that's what they called themselves. Really, they moved place to place, telling fortunes and performing on the streets. And as the youngest, Josephine was mostly expected to look cute and bring in an audience.

By the time the family had settled down, young Jolie had fallen madly in love with music. Her favorite instrument to play with her family was the tambourine, though she didn't play it nearly as much as she did the guitar or the accordion. (They're cooler than you think.)

When Jolie entered high school, she began singing in the school's choir. A few of her friends recruited her into a band. They played a few gigs and even some of the school dances, but they never aspired to pursue music as a career. Except for Jolie, that is, with the encouragement of her parents and her older sister.

Near the end of her sophomore year in high school, Jolie's older sister, Emmeline, ran away at age eighteen to be with her boyfriend. Her parents were devastated, but not as much as Jolie was. She and her sister had always been close, yet Emmeline hadn't told her about her boyfriend and her plans to run away and elope with him.

Two years later, the Prevosts received word from Emmeline. Unfortunately, it came in the form of a policeman. Desperate for money, she and her young husband had been caught stealing some valuable items from a museum. The result was them receiving jail time. But that wasn't all.

Their one-year-old was to be put in their care.

Jolie adored little Quincy from the moment she saw him. He wasn't a particularly beautiful child, but he was Jolie's nephew, and she wasn't about to abandon him like Emmeline had abandoned her.

To this day, Jolie is still ashamed of her sister and wary of those around her. She doesn't want them to leave her like her sister did or make fun of her for how hard she works to support her nephew and take care of him whenever she gets the chance.

How will she ever pursue her music career if she can't even clean up her sister's mess first?
