GAMES!
The Grayling Military Academy for Exceptional Students, or GAMES as the students call it, is an American combat training school that accepts only the country’s best, brightest, and most lethal. High-achieving graduates can expect to start getting offers for elite apprenticeships in the U.S. government or employment with private companies as soon as their final rankings are released. They're that good.
#1 - #100

GAMES' setup isn't too unlike a traditional university. There are four grades, and students can choose concentrations that range from Computer Science to Martial Arts. The academic classes are laidback; after all, what really matters is how many bullets you can unload into the vital organs of the practice dummy in ten seconds. Every grade has 100 students, and all of the students are evaluated at the end of the year as a final exam. They are then ranked within their grade, with #1 being the most promising and #100 being the least. Rankings are made public, and students are often identified by their rank instead of by name. It's a practice meant to "motivate," but that's another way GAMES is similar to traditional university - the students are hyperfocused on numbers.

And the most anticipated event every year? The senior class examinations. The instructors at GAMES create ten teams of ten students based on how well they believe the chosen students will work together. These teams must complete a mission that has been set up in different locations on the extensive school grounds. The speed with which they execute their missions determines their team rankings when they graduate. Individual rankings are determined by instructors who watch the missions through hidden cameras placed throughout the mission site. Students with high rankings are more likely to be scouted by the government and bigger companies.
THE MISSION

The time for senior class examinations has come, but this year there’s something very different. The CEO of the newly successful startup company WellChem, Dr. Blackwell, has offered up one of his own warehouses and requested that the “best” team of the senior class use it as a mission site. He wants to watch the team complete the mission, presumably to pick out for himself the student(s) that he wants his company to recruit. In return, Blackwell has promised to pay GAMES a huge sum of money.

The academy agrees. They set up the mission site at the WellChem warehouse and give Dr. Blackwell access to the cameras that they install around the building. They choose the “best” team by simply selecting the team that has the student currently ranked #1. The mission instructions that they give this team are simple enough: infiltrate the building, avoid the guards and traps, save the "hostage" (Blackwell himself) being kept on the top floor, and get out safely. Although it is definitely not rare for students to get injured during senior examinations, the utmost precautions are taken by the academy to ensure that no one dies. And no one has ever died during a mission.

So when a member of the team at WellChem is gunned down by a machine gun turret, everyone knows that something is definitely wrong. The traps that were meant to be nonlethal seem to have been tampered with. The many guards that were supposed to simply pose as another obstacle for the team are actually shooting at them with real bullets. The doors leading out of the warehouse are locked. And now one of their own is dead.

GAMES is understandably furious. You fuck with their students, you fuck with the whole academy, and rules are thrown out of the window. GAMES wires a new mission to the team, one that decides more than just their graduation rankings: Get to the top floor. Capture Dr. Blackwell alive. Take down anything that stands in your way.
THE TEAM

THE BODYGUARDS
These students are expected to be hired by companies or even private families as personal security due to their skill in martial arts and a wide variety of weapons, from knuckledusters to hand axes. They especially excel at close range combat and know how to use basically anything in the vicinity as a weapon if needed. One of them is the #1 ranked student in the senior class, and has been designated as the “leader” of the team.‣ #1: allure allure

THE GENIUS
With the highest IQ of the senior class, eidetic memory, and an uncanny ability to connect the dots and immediately decide a course of action, everyone at GAMES expects this student to become a high profile detective in the future. They're also pretty handy with a [weapon of user's choice]. They are #1’s right hand man/gal. girl blue girl blue

THE ASSASSINS
These two excel at taking out their targets efficiently - no mess, no one the wiser. Their weapons of choice are guns, of course. Self-proclaimed sharpshooters are hit or miss (har har) at GAMES. When marksmanship is listed as the student's specialty, they should either be extremely talented and/or extremely versatile due to the fact that most of the other students at GAMES are at least proficient with guns.‣ open

THE TECHIE
Their strongest weapon is their laptop. They spent more time dismantling security systems at GAMES (and playing actual videogames) than actually training, but their knowledge of hacking is sure to prove useful. One of their close friends was Amaya Mikaelson.‣ open

THE BOMB SPECIALIST
This student is known for being a little (or a lot) bomb-crazy, with a love of explosions to rival Michael Bay’s. They know how to create an explosive with a couple of wires and baking soda. Rather than a sparkle, it’s more of a burnt-out flash in their eyes. When a little manic turns into raging pyromaniac, they need someone to keep them in check.‣ open

THE SPIES
The spies are compelling actors and masters of disguise. They have high marks in less conventional classes such as Psychology and The Art of Manipulation. They are smooth, charismatic, and able to blend into most situations without pause. Languages and vocal mimicry are among their specialties.‣ open

THE DECEASED
‣ Amaya Mikaelson: Amaya was a well-rounded fighter. She insisted on being at the front of the group in order to be the first to brave their surroundings, not fueled so much by bravery but instead by the desire to keep her teammates safe. She was one of the lower ranked students on the team, but it was clear that the instructors put her with them to make sure the other members cooperated with each other. She was friendly yet stern, and perhaps overbearing to some, but she also cared greatly for the well-being of her teammates. In the end, it was this protectiveness that killed her, as she was the first to trigger the motion-activated trap that gunned her down.
Please note that these summaries are only a reflection of the roles’ main strengths. All of the characters have been trained in combat. They have strengths, but they also have weaknesses.
NOTES

Hi guys! I'm back on RPN after a seven month hiatus. This is a reboot of one of my old RPs. I want to share a disclaimer that I am not an army buff because I know some people are very serious about military lore (I'm sorry I don't know what else to call it adhkljdg). What I know of U.S. military training comes from my friends in ROTC, Marines camp, Coast Guard camp, etc. I am kind of scared of the U.S. military lol. I am aware that if the described scenario were to occur in real life, the FBI or some other specialized unit would probably figure it all out and bust up in there. But let's just treat the plot like it's a video game.

This RP will be literate and somewhat fast-paced. I am not currently reserving roles (gauging interest first), but if you are interested, please let me know what role(s) you would want. Two characters max!
