In the real world Austin is a tall, slim firm built man, with flaming red hair, and piercing red eyes. His disposition usually makes him unapproachable, and got him in a bit of trouble when he was younger. That's where he got his scare on his forehead.
    Armor:
    Akumada_zpsc173aaee.jpg

In the game, Akumada has a similar body frame as in the real world. He wears full body armor that looks like it was made of a blood crystal or something. He'll wear everything but the helm, though. The type of weapon he mainly uses are two handed swords, like the claymore, great sword or bastard sword.
    Race: Demon
    Class: Warrior
    Element Affinity: Fire
Bio: Austin had a rough life growing up. His father was constantly in and out of jobs, and always drinking, as his mom was so busy supporting them that she didn't notice what was going on in his life. In school, Austin wasn't one the brightest and was always called a delinquent due to always getting caught up in fights. The fights happened nearly on a daily basis. In elementary it was cause kids didn't like his hair, Middle school was cause of his eyes always seemed to be angered or glaring at people. In High school He just gave up and became what he was always called...a delinquent. He grew a short fuse growing up like that and it landed him in a lot of bad situation. one of which leading to the scar on his forehead. But he had a good balance of wins and losses though.

Sometimes he often skipped school just to avoid fighting. On one of these "times off", Austin came across an arcade and decided to spend his time there…better than at his house with his dead beet alcoholic father. Austin started playing a few games with what little money he had to pass the time. After a short while of playing, he was pretty good at them once he got a hold of more money started to spend his time from school there at the arcade. He eventually hit the top of the leader boards in most of the games, in just a matter of weeks too.

After all those games stopped being a challenge for him, he started to move on from the arcades to home consoles. He dropped out of school and got a part time job so he didn't have to burden his mother to pay for what he wanted. Once he got the consoles, he played the most the challenging games eventually moving on to PC games and then onto gaming competitions after his skills have been acknowledged. He soon started to be somewhat renowned to in the gaming community after gaining victory in tournaments with his teams. He had articles published in gaming magazines, been invited to play with Let's players online, and his new found fame brought in some money. He was even able to help ease the burden off his mom a bit with the money.

When he's not practicing for the tournaments and showing up on let's players shows he plays MMOs. He's not as well known in playing in that genre of games but has made a name in a few games, and that Name was Berserker. He get's that name for his style of playing in the game; Full on damage, little to defense, usually coming back with vengeance; where the name truly came from. He'll usually got noticed when he downs event bosses playing like this. But this still connects to his times in playing in competitions. He usually rely on this tactic if things are on the line. It seems this is the reason he was chosen to.
Likes: His mother, gaming, and showing his strength
Dislikes: Loosing in a game, bullies, and alcoholics
Fears: Finding a game he could never beat.
Quirks: Austin is good at video games due to being able to over analyze things in games and find exploits to them…but he’s not a photo memory genius and can forget things at times.

Name: Valoire Moore
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bi-curious
Occupation: Works part-time at a cafe
Appearance
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 105 lbs (she is a but underweight due to having a fast metabolism)
Hair: Thick, long, black, parted in the center, extends to her mid-back.
Eyes: Black (pupils are still visible)
Build: Slim
Complexion: Rather pale
Image: X
Assets
Username: Vale
Race: Werewolf
Class: Mage
Elemental Affinity: Dark
Armor: X
Personal
Likes: RPGs, spending time with her brothers (despite them having families and such now), reading or any other type of fiction really
Dislikes; MMOs, her mother's attitude towards gaming
Fears: Loosing control of her partial gaming carrier
Personality:Valorie is a rather soft spoken individual, not really one crave attention or force her options down other’s throats. Although that doesn’t mean she isn’t social, for the woman does enjoy spending time alongside others she is close with as well as meeting those she hasn’t, as long as they aren’t too loud or obnoxious.
History: Valoire had been born into a family as the youngest of three brothers. And naturally because of this, her mother wanted to keep hold of her "little girl." For the most part, she did. No sports, violence or action, or anything that had the potentially to ruin what she had going. But, when she was around fifteen, her eldest brother had noticed the sheltering that was going on and decided to try and change this. He tried to get her interested into the limited variety of video games he had at the time, but none of them really had an effect on her. He had nearly given up hope until she walked in on him playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. While rudimentary, the idea was more than fascinating which she quickly grew attached to, her brother letting her play whenever she would like glad to finally have found something she enjoyed.

As the years past and she was gifted her own computer with her own copy of Oblivion, the newts of the franchise that had came out that year, as well as a few other Rps and games that had came out that year. Their mother wasn't all that happy with this turn of events, constantly trying to change her mind on the topic but it didn't really do much good. Her brothers and father didn't do much but encouraged the behavior, which overruled what the woman was attempting to accomplish.

As the rest of her brothers left the house and only her and the youngest brother who was just a little over a year older than her, he had gotten a rather interesting idea from a few friends. Valoire was rather vocal when playing, either muttering nonsense to herself, singing to the OST, or actually getting into the character she was playing. And so, what better use of this than secretly record her audio and gameplay? It wasn't hard, setting it up without her noticing and then taking the footage, uploading it to a channel under the name "Vale." It was mainly for him and a few friends to have a quick laugh, but what he didn't expect was it to explode as much as it did.

It wasn't long before Val found out about the videos, at first seeming horrified that her privacy was being invaded. But seeing as it was growing rather popular extremely quickly, she was slowly coaxed into giving it chance. She didn't have to do anything different than she normally did, just play and upload. So she did, seeing a the growth increase as it had been. But finally the woman found the courage to actually interact with the viewers... the response being much more than she imagined.

After getting out of school and settling down, she had more than enough money coming in to support herself and continue to produce content despite how much the whole idea was still a bit odd to her. Streaming was taken up occasionally and she kept playing, although quickly growing bored with such a lifestyle which is how she was able to land a part time job, being careful to keep it under wraps for risk of the small restaurant being flooded with those all to eager to meet her. (Even though there were a few here and there that still wandered in rather surprised.)

Age: Twenty
Gender: Female
Height: 5'
Weight: 120

Jay: Slender build frame. Short black hair and brown eyes, fairly average in terms of attractiveness. Dark circles beneath her eyes typically, from a lack of sleep. Typically wears light, comfortable clothings without much care for style or fashion. Typically quiet, prefers to be reserved and avoid conflict. Not easily flustered by many things, as growing up around the internet and on it a lot of the time, she's grown rather thick skin.

Sylena: Inside the game, her chosen avatar is that of a foxgirl of similar build and stature to herself, albiet 'improved' in some ways, to make herself look more attractive. It is a fantasy game after all. Sylena has long, silken black hair, a set of mismatched eyes, red and blue and a rather cheery, cheeky appearance about her. Atop her head are a pair of black fox-like ears with white fur inside. A long fluffy black tail above her behind, with a white tip. Much unlike her real-life persona, Sylena enjoys poking fun at others, and finds no joy unless they return her jabs and mockery. Always delivered with a sly smile.

Sylena wears a red, black and white coat of rather ornamented make and design. The coat extends down to her calves, but is open in the front from her hips down. She wears a white skirt beneath, thigh-high socks, and calf-high black boots. She comes armed with a catalyst dagger, a light and enchanted weapon that can serve as her wand when she chooses to not hand-cast her magic.

Race: Kitsune
Class: Mage
Element Affinity: Light

Bio: To call Jay a loner, anti-social or an introvert would be disingenuous. Growing up, she never had issue finding or making friends in school, getting along with others at a job or anything such as. Life growing up to a well-off family was easy. She was never wanting for sources of entertainment, but she found herself oh so horridly bored by many activities. She had found herself captivated by the Online world. Gaming, forums, chat rooms, so many of the wonderful and not-so wonderful aspects of the internet. It was all so enjoyable to her. Only after being pressured by school friends and later colleagues, would she leave those worlds she so enjoyed.

Likes: Shitposting on forums and late-night drunken gaming.
Dislikes: Boring, tedious games and getting in those moods where nothing is fun.
Fears: When the internet's down.
Quirks: Habit of repeating words for emphasis.

Weight: ~163lb

Background

History:
Jason was born and raised with the typical perfect life plan in mind; work hard in school, graduate with a good degree, and get a job that will feed the mouths of you and your future family. And of course, like any other good noodle child, that meant distractions like video games and the idea of girlfriends were stripped away from him from the very beginning. He wasn’t raised around video games, computers, or even with his face in front of a television screen. Instead, he was given textbook upon textbook, with his parents’ hopes of him becoming the next child to graduate college before hitting puberty..

Well.. that fell through the roof. Not completely, mind you. Once he entered high school at the same age as everyone else his parents sort of just lost hope that he would be graduating college and become the godchild that they could brag about to their friends.

It was around the time he began high school that he began to develop his own independence. While his social life in the past wasn’t weak, it was during this time that he began to explore the different possibilities with friends and others that he had missed out on. Most especially, being out of the house.

Jason’s sheltered and strict lifestyle soon bloomed into one of relaxation and enjoyment. The leash his parents had kept him on had loosened, and he was quick to snag onto what he could get. While he did maintain the high standards of grades that his parents had expected, Jason had also managed to develop quite the social life. A well-round group of friends, and a time killer found in Track & Field. However still no love of videogames, it was hardly even a reoccurring thought at this stage of his life.

Fast forward a few years, the latter end of his sophomore year in college. Jason now lives away from home in an apartment near the school, forever thankful to his parents for pushing him this far. His apartment roommate? A lover of all things videogames, found in a high school sweetheart within his old friend group. It was her that unknowingly through him into the mess that he was about to get himself involved in..

Earlier that month she had received an invite for a private videogame demo, an MMO that she had been watching since its announcement. It was just her luck that the day of the demo ended up landing on the same day as her college final. With her being distraught, Jason offered to demo the game in her stead, hopefully bringing her a demo copy that she would be able to test at a latter date. If the girlfriend is happy, then he was happy; even if it meant involving himself in something that he had absolutely zero interest in..

Oh.. the sacrifices one makes for others..

Nature

Personality:
Jason’s upbringing consisted mostly of trying to mold him into the perfect child. “Jason, make sure you have good manners when you leave the house.” “Jason, I don’t want to hear anything coming out of your mouth if all you have to say is something rude!”

It is this strict lifestyle that developed the carefree demeanor that he holds true now. Whether something happens, or it doesn’t, there will always be a solution. And while he is never exactly rude, but he is a playful tease, using sarcasm as a substitute for being rude. A strong sense of pride also fuels Jason’s independence, hardly wanting to rely on others to get the job done for him.

Bio: Jason was a typical teenager, way more interested in video games than in school. However, one thing was different. He was consistently winning, even as he used non-pay to play accounts. He caught the attention of various organizations and became a youtuber. His fame steadily grew to the point he was making a nice salary even as he finished high school. As soon as he finished high school, he moved out using his saving to make a down payment on a house. From there he dived completely into gaming. Soon he was making quite a bit of money.

Now that he could devote all of his time to video gaming, his profile quickly built up. He played a variety of games especially famous rpg games. His singular purpose was making money which was very effective. Soon he rose to the top ten video gamers making money.

Tan boots made of leather and fur cover his feet.
Race: Elf
Class: Archer

Bio: A young man originally born in the UK but adopted along with his younger twin sister Amara by a American couple. Brother and sister had a normal childhood. Nothing of consequence took place and they grew up normally. Naturally, the two were very close and had a strong bond. For Gabriel, that and just a few friends was enough for him, although he often attracted more people than not due to a charismatic way about him. He was always more of an introvert, quiet and stoic but not necessarily shy. He was well behaved and never got in trouble. He did well in school and was outgoing, even becoming a possible candidate for valedictorian of his class and getting a scholarship to one of the top colleges. Amara was the opposite in some ways, but she still cared deeply for her brother. She was quite vibrant and a complete social butterfly, doing about average in high school. She was a bit of a partier as well, and more than once Gabriel had to act as her babysitter. It annoyed him sometimes, but the twins rarely fought regardless.

One night, the twins had gone to a party hosted by one of Amara's friends. It was pretty normal, full of teenagers, and alcohol was present. Gabriel, knowing that one of them would have to drive home at some point, made the decision to be the designated driver while his sister got utterly wasted. He kept a careful eye on Amara so that no one would take advantage of her. When it became apparent that she had to much to drink, Gabriel, ignoring his sister's snappy drunken protests, eventually got her into the car and began to drive home. Halfway there, a semi collided with his car on his sister's side during a moment of momentarily distraction. It happened in an instant, but for Gabriel it seemed to occur in slow motion. Glass shattered, flying everywhere, on the pavement and upon the occupants of the hit vehicle. Gabriel could remember pain, the car rolling over and over, and then...nothing. In that brief moment before he lost consciousness, he realized that he hadn't even heard Amara scream.

When he came to, he was in a hospital bed, alive, but noticed that something was off, even with all the pain reducing drugs in his system. His right eye was covered in bandages and throbbing dully, making the world smaller. Immediately he asked where Amara was, no longer able to sense her in that way that only twins can, once his worried parents realized he happened to be awake, and was informed that his his sister was gone, having died instantly as soon as the semi hit. Gabriel was understandably crushed. During the rest of the time he was in the hospital he merely stared at the ceiling in a daze. When he was released a month later, he was now obviously missing an eye as evident by his eyepatch, and had a broken leg which would leave him with a perpetual limp even when it healed. The times he wasn't cursing in misery of the pain despite medication, he was grieving, grieving for the loss of his eye and, more importantly, his sister. He blamed himself for Amara's passing, and although Gabriel's father didn't outright say it at first, the older man blamed him as well and there was now a large distance between the two where they had once been so close. Gabriel fell into a depression. His grades at school slipped horribly, and while his peers tried to comfort him, they could not seem to snap him out of it. He became cold and irritable, giving everyone the cold shoulder, and nearly took his life until one of his childhood friends decided that wasn't about to happen. Through sheer persistence, this individual, a young woman named Cecilia managed to get through to that thick skull of his that he had a life worth living. She kept trying to talk to Gabriel even when he spat hurtful words at her and tried pushing her away so he could end his existence. She even slapped him once, crying, but stood her ground. Gabriel, even in this dark hour of his life, started to feel something again: hope.

Like the sun slowly rising to bathe the land in soft light, Gabriel's heart was eventually touched by Cecilia's actions and he began to do the simple things again, like showering and eating more so he wouldn't be so underweight. The change was gradual, but it was there. He even began to smile again, although there'd always be a part of him that no longer felt whole. He was indebted to his friend for what she did and would never forget it.

Then, one morning, Gabriel received an email from a virtual reality company. At first he dismissed it after reading what was there, never being much of a gamer after his sister's death, but the more he thought of it, the more he started to think it wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. Although there was a part of him which was hesitant. He needed a temporary escape and could no longer tolerate his father's accusing glares. His chances at being the valedictorian of his graduating class were gone now and he had lost his scholarship. He would still be able to go to college if he got some loans, as his family hadn't been extremely wealthy, but he already had a job as a library assistant. Of course he was still depressed, but had been pulled from the darkest recesses of it. Although he has the opprotunity to go to college however, he's a bit lost.

Personality: After the accident and his friend's actions, Gabriel is somewhat irritable and sarcastic at times, a jerk, but generally meaningfully apologizes after he says or does something mean. He isn't the type to complain unless he's really hurting or bitter and is usually quiet, stoic even, and keeps things to himself, so much that they have a habit of bottling up and exploding in a ugly mess. He follows society's rules to the letter, even if he doesn't like them sometimes, never being one to cause trouble. Not as outgoing as he used to be, but still tries when the situation calls for it. Observant and analytical, Gabriel is a logical sort of fellow, yet like any human still has his biases because of his emotions, being a typical teenager in some ways. He's loyal, but aloof, and after his sister's death, is very cautious to keep people at arms length. Regardless, there is a big part of him which hungers for human interaction and relationships.

Dislikes: Crowds, his father, putting a lot of effort into something he hates, thinking of his sister, recklessness, liars
Fears: Losing another person he cares about

His schooling was excellent until an incident in his last year of secondary school, before college. He had been in the upper fifth percentile at his school and participated in clubs that piqued his interests. He grew up being compared to his perfect sisters. He was an avid writer, and enjoyed his time at the archery club. He wasn't the best, but he showed promise and determination the other members lacked.

His last year of school. He was practicing archery by himself. Or so he thought. A couple from the club had come to spend time behind the targets. Alfred had set them up but left the netting only partially secured. There were three people in the room that afternoon. But only he and the girl left, the boy was carried out sometime later by paramedics.

Alfred shut down after that, he stopped coming to school and club. He would only talk through text messages, he stayed in his room playing games. Eventually he became dependent on the screen. He couldn't face people anymore. The school nor anyone blamed him, it was an accident, but he had taken it to heart. Years passed all he had accomplished was a few maxed characters on games no one played anymore.

Nature

France was wild, and a lit crazier than the rest of his group of college friends. He was the courageous daredevil, with a knack for wreaking havoc. And although some of his stunts could end up being a bit crazy, he has no intention of ever being violent towards his friends.

Towards those he had no care for, however, is a completely different story. His actions a mix of bravery and stupidity, he's been in fights more often than he can count. There's little stopping him, even if the person was twice his weight or an entire head taller than him, the thought of backing down in fear lingers not.

The male has a soft side for the cheesy romance, it being like Kryptonite to Superman, or the blazing sun to a werewolf. Despite his crazy hunger for adrenaline and excitement, the guy's got a sweet side. Well, he likes to think he has a sweet side, anyway.

Background

Francis was a spoiled brat in a rich family, getting anything he wanted without the slightest of a reprimand. And while living the lavished life a spoiled child seemed like fun, it wasn't what Francis wanted. He quickly developed his own independence, and moved away from home at the young age of 16. He loved his family, but exploring and adventuring out into the world was what he aspired to do, and moving out was the quickest way to do so.

Now traveling and exploring free of any restrictions, he did what he wanted, and recorded each and every one of his adventures on a simple camera. Savor the memories and share them with the world, so those who don't ever get that opportunity can at least get a taste. The videos of his quickly went onto the internet, to share his adventures like he always wanted.

Little did he know that it was this very hobby of his that would carry him up to popularity. Daredevil stunts like diving stories down waterfalls, or scaling near vertical cliff walls, at one point of his life he even made an effort to go cave diving. This adventurous lifestyle, recorded through vlogs, is what caught the attention of a certain videogame company. He was easily lured in with words of exploration and adventure, even though videogames were hardly close to any hobby of his. Of course, he accepted the offer, because what daredevil would say no to a challenge?

Short brown hair. Brown eyes. Lithe figure. Typically dressed in a tomboy's business casual.

Bio: Born in to wealth, she had very little concerns growing up, aside from maintaining a good social standing, for her parents of course. A concern she had little care for, acting out often as something like a delinquent in her early years. A stage she would eventually grow in to. Seeking to connect with their daughter, and vice-versa, her parents helped her find her way in, in her teen years, in to the world of experimental gaming, gaming being the one interest that kept her out of trouble. The big new fad coming about, that she often tests, and provides consultations for various developers, being VR. Tall and wispy as her race tends to be. Six feet tall. Long, silken and platinum blonde hair, silver eyes. Elvish beauty; as in, she appears to be beautiful in an almost androgynous way. Armoured up and helmeted, it's difficult to tell whether or not she's a she, or a he.

History
Bio: Sato was born as the middle child of a family of five. He had an older sister and younger brother. His older sister always excelled in school, and his younger brother was incredibly sporty, and eventually Sato came to realize that he wanted a specialty of his own. Eventually that led him to discover the chess club and he quickly became an addict. He played online chess simulators or chess against anybody he could find, and was one of the top national placers in chess all through middle and high school.

However, at some point during an online chess match he saw an advertisement for a strategy-based MMORPG and feeling slightly bored of his chess routines he downloaded it. He was instantly hooked. He continued to play chess but he found the other virtual games so much more interesting and he quickly became addicted. From the moment he got home to the moment he went to bed he was in-game, and in order to sate his obsession he branched out to other platforms. Soon his bedroom was both teeming with trophies from chess tournaments and random parts from consoles.

Somehow he managed to keep up his school work so he got into a decent college. Studying to become a software engineer because his only retained interest over the years were videogames, Sato graduated and took a job with a small-startup company. He was successful and was pretty quickly promoted up the ranks at the company. Their first launched game was a success and so Sato was looking for ways to expand their company onto VR platforms when he stumbled across an email inviting him to test some new VR software. He immediately accepted.

I don't think that concept would work, because then it would be for the player, get the shards, defend them, win.
That's easier than conquest.

I think part of what made FFH2 work so well is that it was low magic.
