This is the Character Sheet thread for our roleplay. Please post your character sheets in here, for those interested in joining us.

Just one thing before you begin posting. There are three positions in the Harper family which are already spoke for:

- Lord Harper, Seventh Lord of the Harp
- Lady Harper, Wife of Lord Harper and Mother to his children
- Heir of the Harp, Lord Harper's firstborn son

Please do not create character sheets for these three positions. Any character sheets that are created will be immediately disregarded. However, all other conceivable positions are available, so go nuts. ^_-

Here is just an outline for what I am looking for:

Appearance:
Name:
Gender:
Age:
Title / Rank:
Backstory:
Skills:
Special Items:
(these are things like special weapons or family heirlooms. Any ordinary or standard clothing, armour, weapons, etc does not need to be put here.)

Appearance:
32c2ec4bc9807cc7c9137de2d1671b2d.jpg
Name:
Rylen Harper
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Title / Rank: Lord
Backstory: Rylen's work has been cut out for him from day one. For one, he is by all accounts a second son. His brother was born just minutes before him, so any chances of inheritance was cut off to the boy instantly. Secondly, he's...not what you'd expect. His brother is ambitious, passionate, martial. Rylen just kind pf meanders through life, not sure what he wants and who he is. The boy has a bookish disposition, and he'd rather read a book on Aegon's Conquest than practice jousting or swordplay. He's also much more sensitive than his brother, something often called out about him as womanly. He has an intense potential for kindness and empathy, though this is balance out by his natural awkwardness and lack of social abilities. He wants to be nice, he just doesn't know how much of the time. Currently, he's set to become his brother's personal advisor, something he's not too sure of.
Skills:
Swordplay: It's not his strongest suit, but he is above average. His main issue is his lack of physical strengh and endurance.
Jousting: Same as above, though he is better at jousting than swordfighting, mainly due to his knowledge of the sport.
Archery: His true passion besides reading. He's quite a marksman, and he's always up for a contest.
Academics: If it's intellectual, Rylen probably knows something about it. He has a personal love for history and literature, but he's also quite good at arithmetic.
Special Items: His most prized possession is his bow. It's beautifully made, given to Rylen on his sixteenth birthday. It's made of hardened yew, a process that took almost 4 years to make it suitable for use as a longbow. It's probably more expensive than everything a peasant has ever owned combined and then some, and Rylen treats it as such.

Gannet Feeny

tumblr_pa1hzkIzCJ1spiqaeo1_500.jpg

Gannet, pronounced with a hard 'G'. He doesn't particularly mind 'Gan', or 'Ganny' either.

Appearance -
Gannet's a tall lithe lad, standing at around 5'9" at his highest. He's slim, but not too gangly, or skinny. Enough muscle on him to aptly stand up for himself, should the occasion ever arise. Otherwise, his skin's somewhat on the fairer side, and actually rather flawless, much to his sisters endless jealously. Gannets eyes are what immediately alert you to his presence though. An almost dazzlingly vivid pale shade of blue, it's the feature that most commonly unnerves people he comes into contact with. His hair stands in a stark contrast to the lighter tones of his skin. A deep and dark brown, that in all other instances appears purely black. It's long-ish? I suppose, and for some reason he never keeps it particularly neat. Must just be the way he prefers it I assume.

Age -
The boy's twenty-two, just gone.

Personality -
Gannet seems to be a quiet and personal man. He speaks so rarely, many simply believe him to be mute. All in all, the boy has an odd, almost eerie aura about him. He seems to simply float about the place, quietly doing as he's told, carrying out his Squire-ly duties perfectly adequately. His face remains almost constantly indifferent. He neither frowns, nor smiles, and instead remains in a state of forever neutrality. He does sometimes speak, when asked a direct question by one of his Lords that simply behests a response. Well, that's what he'd have you believe at least...

If you were to know Ganny from a more, shall we say, 'common' perspective, the boy I have just described to you would appear completely alien to the true Gannet Feeny. 'Out of hours', Gannet's a lad who's more than comfortable speaking his mind. When he talks, it feels as though he has a chip on his shoulder of some kind, for most of his responses and areas of conversation always seem pointed in someway. Sharp, and always edged with a dry wit that few can truly match. It's not quite like he's looking down at you when he's talking, but little does he seem to care for triviality or general jovial behaviour. It's a rare occasion indeed when he truly seems to be at full ease and comfort with either his companions or surroundings.

Bio -

Everyone always tells Gannet how lucky he is to have landed such a position within the hierarchy of the Citadels staff, and he nods and agrees benignly whenever told this yet again for the 100th or so time that week. And, admittedly, they are right, in a certain sense at least. For it is highly uncommon for someone from such a common region of society to obtain such a position. However, Gannet wishes they all knew how much of it was mere chance and circumstance that elevated him to such a arrangement anyway.

The young Feeny's Mother, has always been a weak, dithering soul. She's the type of person who looks like she'd break in half if the wind were to change direction too quickly. Her mind often troubles her more than the real day to day world does, and as of such, she's never been too fondly embraced by the town of Harper's Gate. No man has ever wanted her for a wife, and no business ever wanted her as a worker, which left only a few select lines of work available for a woman of her standing, if you catch my meaning. From what he has gathered, Gannet believes his true Father to be a man from Essos, who was either in Harper's Gate merely to trade, or had perhaps arrived there with another visiting party of some sorts. Beyond that, he simply does not know. He doesn't really look, 'Essosian', he doesn't think so anyway, certainly not with skin that pale... But he doesn't let his potential parentage bother him much. He tries not to anyway. Got far too many other things to be thinking about you see.

Despite his Mother's strange disposition and troubled mind, Gannet cares for her all the same. It is his Mum after all. And upon Linnets arrival into the world, he was especially determined to make sure his family was never without proper food or shelter. With a bold resolve that was surprising of both a boy so young, and so common, he somewhat purposefuly made himself useful in and around the Citadel. It started off relatively simply at first, he delivered messages here and there, helped out in the kitchens, aided the stable master when needed, etc. Until eventually, he caught the eye of Old Master Feeny, Lord Harpers personal squire and attendant. Old Feeny was old even then, and was without both wife, or child. He observed Gannet for a long time, noting his quietly calm, yet resolute servitude to the Citadel, and a proposition formed in the Old mans mind.

He proposed it to Lady Harper when both Gannet, and the young Harper Heir were about eight years old or so. The boys were both the same age, and Gannets calm and collected nature would suit the life of a Attendant well. Since Old Feeny had no children of his own, he would soon need to choose and train someone up to take his place, and to him, Gannet seemed like a perfectly adequate choice. If fastened to the young Lord-to-be now, the two would surely form a strong and solid bond through the years spent growing up together. During this time, Old Feeny could appropriately train the boy as well. It seemed perfectly agreeable, save for one small detail perhaps. Although loyal and devoted, Gannet still remained a Bastard, something no level of loyalty or purpose could easily erase. So Old Feeny did something unexpected, yet concealed with a genuinely kind, and pure intention. Old Feeny of the Citadel, a man of at least fifty or so years, married Gannet and Linnet's Mother, and accepted the children as his own.

And so it has been since Gannet can remember now. He serves the young Lord-to-Be as his chief Squire and attendant, occasionally helping Old Feeny with Lord Harper himself should the need arise too. Ganny counts the young Harper-Heir and Linnet to be his closest friends, which makes sense really considering the amount of time he has spent, and still has to spend with them. Old Feeny is a gentle enough, if somewhat a tad forgetful sort of man, and Gannet thinks fondly of him. Perceiving him as his Father however, is a thought that doesn't fully sit well with him, and he can't quite precisely pin down why. He refers to the man as simply 'Old Feeny', as everybody else in the Gate does, and at best, sees the man as a well-meaning but dithering addition to the family.

Linnet Feeny

Linnet, pronounced as it looks, doesn't mind being called Lin, or Linny, with the latter being the moniker she is most often addressed with.

Appearance -
That girl has a wild look to her eyes, let me tell you. Rather unlike, and yet at the same time, rather akin to her elder brother, Linnet Feeny does not look quite as odd or aloof as he, but rather, she possesses her own air of unruly scruffiness. Her complexion is fair, but not quite as flawless as Gannets. She has freckles scattered seemingly all over the place, and has crooked dimples in her cheeks when she grins. Her eyes are a deep and dark brown in colour. She smiles a lot, even when told not to, and has an otherwise pleasant sort of face I suppose. Not particularly pretty really, but in no way unpleasing to look at either. It's... adequate.

Age -
Eighteen years old, although Old Feeny says she doesn't bloomin' act like it...

Personality -
When directly compared to her brother, Linny is a more openly lively and talkative character. Somewhat similar to her namesake, she flits and flies around Harpers Gate with all the energy and enthusiasm of a Bird gone wild. Too much energy for too small a body Old Feeny says. In what must seemingly be a family trait, Lin is also a little bit of an oddball. She's not really like the other girls of Harpers Gate, for a multitude of reasons. She's no good at sewing, or cooking, or really any task or job that's to be done within the house. Oh no, not our Linnet. She favours far more sporty and outdoorsy pursuits. The likes of which the Lords and Lads of Harpers Gate take part in. Scolded by the other women for being such a nuisance at chores, and laughed at by the men for even dreaming of joining in with their passions and professions, it's fair to say Linnet doesn't have a great number of friends. But that's alright, Gannet doesn't mind listening to her. Once you get to know her, she's certainly a nice enough girl. Polite, chatty, sometimes rather funny too, but the outward appearance of a more Boyish-sort however often puts people off of her.

Bio -
While the two younger Feeny's share a Mother, they do not actually share a Father (Apart from Old Feeny that is). Ganny says he does not really remember much of Linnet's Father. Akin to his own unknowings, Linny is only truly aware of the very bare basics. There was a Hunting Party being hosted at The Citadel, and a number of Lords and Knights from the surrounding area were invited. One of these men, Linnet believes, is her Father. Despite them only being half siblings however, the bond between herself and Gannet is nonetheless hardy, and strong. Gannet had to directly deal with the worse of Bastard-hood as a child, but luckily for Linnet, most of that cruelty passed her by. She was still no more than an infant really when Old Feeny married her Mother, and Linny therefore grew into a life that was far more involved in normality than anything Gannet had ever known.

This may perhaps easily explain Linnets somewhat more cheery disposition. She carries no chip on her shoulder, unlike Gannet, and holds Old Feeny in much warmer friendlier terms than he does. In the vein of following her brothers path, the Old man did consider volunteering Linnet into the service of being a Ladies Maid at the Citadel, but that particular occupation very quickly became a impossible dream as the girl grew older. Although Old Feeny would prefer her involved in a slightly less outdoorsy profession, Horses are a surprising passion of hers that at the very least can provide some form of income. Partly through his status, and partly trough her sheer natural talent and skill with the creatures, Linnet has become as common as the woodwork at the Gate's stables now. She's a good worker, and more importantly enjoys her time with the animals. Very, very occasionally, she'll lend Gannet a hand within the keep itself if hands are scarce, but that particular situation is rarer still these days.

And so, for the time being, all seems well with her, I suppose.

Name: Roderick Rivers
Gender: Mule
Age: 36
Title / Rank: Captain of the Guard (Lord Harper's Meatshield if necessary.)
Backstory: There are few places for a bastard in the world of Westeros. The stigma of being born out of wedlock carries with you forever, chasing at your very name. Roderick could have gone to the Wall. Instead, he found himself in the service of Lord Harper. He had been brash when young, and bold, and had found himself under the Lord's eye. The two men had formed an unlikely bond, the Bastard and the Lord. As time passed, the young man proved himself time and again. Still, Roderick knew he would never be more than he was. Then everything changed seven years ago. Ser Myles, the former Captain of the Guard had suffered a horse riding accident. Roderick thought nothing of it until he found himself summoned before the Lord, who presented him as the new Captain of the Guard. Roderick was flabbergasted, and the household scandalized. Kneeling with weapon drawn, Roderick swore his fealty once more, and doing so, sealed his undying loyalty to House Harper. For seven years he has served as Captain of the Guard and confidante of the secrets of House Harper.
Personality: Roderick is generally the quiet sort, choosing to observe things fully before commenting on them. As such, he inadvertently puts forward a cold, distant exterior. To those close to him, however, he is a kindhearted, trustworthy individual, quickly becoming a confidant of the Harper's secrets. Having no family of his own, Roderick has adopted the Harper's, and would do anything for them.
Skills: Roderick possesses great skills in tactics and strategy, as well as proficiency with the sword, bow and ax.
Special Items: Roderick possesses a sword taken from a duel. Beyond that, he has few worldly possessions, choosing to live a more spartan lifestyle.

Name: Anisa Harper

Gender:
Female

Age:
17

Title / Rank:
Youngest Child of Lord and Lady Harper

Backstory:
Kindhearted, courteous and soft-spoken, Anisa is the epitome of ladylike, however, it is often skewed by her timid demeanor. She has a hard tome talking to people whom she doesn't know well. She is often frightened in large crowds, and despises loud noises. She is not someone who can easily stick up for herself, and she tends to follow the crowd. She acts as a sort of peacemaker in her family, preferring to keep the peace during any sort of conflicts that might arise. She has a deep desire to help others, and often feels guilty that her fear of people makes such a thing harder. Her soft voice and her desire to duck out of conversations with those she doesn't know give off the impression that she is rather dim-witted. However, she is clever, with a thirst for knowledge and spends a lot of her spare time with her nose stuck in a book. She is a creative person, with a million different thoughts in her mind at once. While she is diligent in her lessons to learn how to be a lady, she often feels somewhat uncomfortable, and longs to live a simpler life, to marry and have children, without any sort of regard for title or ranking.

Skills:
Singing, dancing, embroidery, as well as a rather skilled sketch artist.

Special Items:

Morwenna Crakehall

Morwenna.jpg

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Title / Rank: Youngest child and only daughter of Lord Crakehall

Backstory: Like many noble ladies, Morwenna had known from a young age that when she reached an appropriate age, she would marry a Lord and have his children. At first, she had regarded it as a terrible thing. All the child wanted was to stay at Crakehall and ride with her father and brothers, hunt, and not have to think of such things. Though, as she grew older, she came around to the idea slightly, if only because she knew it was unavoidable for a woman of her station.

Lovingly referred to as 'The Gilt of Crakehall', Morwenna earned her title for a few obvious reasons. She is the only daughter of Lord Crakehall and a young, unmarried maiden. The boar, obviously, makes a big feature on their House Crest. And she has, on a few occasions, showed a wild and irksome temperament, one she has mostly kept well curbed in her later years under the veil of charisma and sweet-talk. Though she presents as a fine young woman, she has been noted to be as blunt as a boar's tusk, a trait she famously shares with her other three brothers and has especially been noted as a woman unafraid to get her hands dirty.

When she wasn't trying to upstage her brothers or the knights with a bow and arrow, riding off from Crakehall, or simply revelling in the freedom of the outside, Morwenna had tried her best to learn what she could as a noblewoman. She was never excellent at embroidery or sewing, something she often lost her temper over, but had excelled in learning graces and charms, and had even managed to find some solace in being able to play the harp.

Eventually, Morwenna had been informed of her impending marriage to House Harper's oldest son and heir, and whilst many braced for an explosive protest or her temper otherwise flaring, she could only laugh. When her father asked what she found so humourous, she turned and said, "Perhaps learning to play the harp was the best use of my time after all." Now, she awaits a date to be married to this Harper heir she's heard so much about. She only hopes she won't grow bored when she eventually dons the Harper name and the customs that come along with it.

Skills: Charisma and oratory skills, archery, musically inclined (can play the harp ((haha))), horseback riding, hunting.

Special Items: A boar tusk gifted to her by a father and a constant reminder of the House she hails from.
