Galactic Shield

Autumn McJavabean

Prettier than you.

Being a hero isn't just fighting the bad guy, it's going out of your way to save those who need your help. That includes helping kids on the right track, crossing a blind person to the other side of the road, picking food for the homeless, working on raising money for the starving and sick. Being a hero is about saving lives and going above and beyond, not having powers and wearing a fancy suit with a name attached. That's only for the egotistical and blind. It's someone who's willing to risk their lives so that others can live. The ultimate sacrifice. No one needs to know their name. Because credit is pointless. What matters is helping others. Even when they don't see it. That's what a hero actually is.

Chapter 1

Galactic Shield (銀河シールド, Ginga Shīrudo) was the hero name of the former rank 1, Class-A hero from City-10. He was known as the strongest and most powerful known hero in the Hero Association and overall revered by the people. He was also an associate at the Hero Association, working on a number of projects. His office remains empty to this day.

Appearance

Galactic Shield was a very large, muscular person. His looks displayed his very strength. He had brown hair and his suit to match with a white primary color with a black cape, belt, gloves and boots. On his chest, he has the letter "R". This was actually due to the fact his older name used to be "Razor" before Galactic Shield. He had bright blue eyes that stood out to all around and towered over many people. He held an aura of confidence at all times and almost always a smile that was the symbol for everyone around him.

Since he was also an aid for the Hero Association, mainly for something to do since he had a lot of time, he also wore a suit, glasses, and was generally seen with a business causal look, including having a vest. He sometimes would wear a pocket watch, even if it was archaic, feeling it fitted to his character and was just a simple true element of his personality.

Personality

Among the heroes of the Hero Association, he was arguably the most charismatic, gleeful, and caring. Mainly because he was the most known and often went out of his way to help even the most mundane tasks that most Class-C heroes would even neglect, thinking it to be beneath them. Such tasks included saving cats from trees, walking a blind man across the road, feeding the homeless, and more. Even without his rank and powers, he was seen as the most charitable hero and often worked with lower class heroes simply to help them.

History

Little is known about Galactic Shields history or how he gained his powers. What is known is that he was one of the first heroes to appear when the association didn't exist. Upon its creation, he instantly signed up. He helped defeat enemies such as Elastic Man, the Yellow Killer, Bomber, Number Head, Yoku, and many others.

Along the way, he eventually took a rising hero named Star under his wing. Though he often called him Sparky instead of his name, Nagoya, or his hero alias.

During the events of City-5's invasion, he rushed there with super flight and fended off against the lessor minions only to eventually die at the hands of Kyon.

Powers and Abilities

Physical Abilities

Little is known about Galactic Shield other than him being the typical hero trope. He had little formal martial arts training, but did known some. He relied on his immense strength, reflect, speed, and flight to fight off opponents.

Immense Strength: Galactic Shield was an immensely physically powerful hero who had little difficulty fighting off strong opponents. HE was known for using less than 5% of his known strength, fearing his full strength in a punch would kill innocent lives near him.

Enhanced Durability: Considering the speed at which he flies and his entrance in City-5, it can be assumed he is more durable than your average human. However, due to how easily he was killed by Kyon, it can also be assumed he is squishy compared to many fights and his true durability is unknown. Which is why so many people were perplexed at his death being so easy for the Demon Lord.

Flight: Galactic Shield displayed the ability to fly, an uncommon power among heroes.

Immense Speed: One of his key abilities was his speed to match his strength. Even being able to move from City-10 to City-5 in little time, faster than his own student who has high levels of speed. Both left at roughly the same time, with only a few seconds to a minute in difference, and by the time Star arrived, he had already both finished arriving, giving his short entrance speech, and even fended off the flying demons, being killed right as his student arrived, which clearly shows the difference in speed of the two. Such speed was incorporated in both ground and flight, as well as his attacks. Fending off multiple flying demons all over him with little effort.

Keen Reflex: Another ability Galactic Shield possessed was his higher than average senses.

Fighting Style

Galactic Shield used minimal martial arts in his style and relied unanimously on throwing just punches, slamming things, or flying through them in a very basic manner. Relying on martial arts, at least what he knew, when opponents displayed the ability to counter his basic attacks.
