The Galactic Community
The Galactic Community (GC) despite it's name is not galaxy wide. They control 300 star systems with a hundred races. Founded four years ago after the Darkest Night that left the old Galactic Alliance (GA) crippled beyond repair. Chancellor Cero deciding best took all the pain and devastation onto himself. Acting as a becon he lead them threw their dark times creating creating one community. Even though their part of the galaxy is at peace some uprising have accord by war mongers who want to disturb said peace.
They have a Unitary government where all power is dictated by ten officials and the Grand Chancellor
Knights
These mercenaries have been around since the founding of the first carnation of the Galactic Community. They always acted like they were allies willing to help outside of the law. Their Grand Master had secretly wormed his way into every aspect of political life. Was most likely responsible for the terror that was the Mulich war. Conspiring with the enemy to weaken the Galactic Alliance enough so that he could take over. And when the time came for him to make his move it was devastating. Within the course of an hour these blood thirsty Knights brought the GA to their knees. The GC will spend the next four years engaging all who bear the knight symbol either killing them on sight or imprisoning them.
The Mulich War
Twelve years before the fall of the Galactic Alliance they were attacked by the Mulich. A human like Species that believed that they had a claim to the entire galaxy. They would spend ten years fighting the GA even attacking their capital killing the Chancellor before Cero. This hurt the GA badly killing over a billion soliders by the wars end. It didn't stop there however as in the aftermath planets that were controlled by the Mulich would uprise against thr GA creating civil unrest in the outer territories.
Earth/Humans
A massive solar event made Earth uninhabitable. Only around 300 humans are left scattered throughout the GC.
