Order 1: Weapon Fabrication

Naturally, you selected the steel ingots to be the material of choice for crafting your new weapon. However, what might be the weapon of choice? Many choices became Shadow as he thought of his own strength. What would be best to go for? Something shorter and faster or something for heavy strikes. While seemingly faster weapons would make sense initially, Shadow's speed on top of it would be wholly unnecessary. Diminishing returns as they say. So, with that in mind. What would be crafted in the cold breezes and the short-lived blizzards?

The Drone's know just the thing. A simple scimitar. Curved to hook and slash. So, they go to work, clanking away. After some time, they return to you with the finished blade.

A basic blade and one that wasn't super of quality, but one that was certainly better than a simple knife. It had a basic wooden hilt, wrapped in plantfibers for friction and surface area.

Resources Consumed: 1 Unit of Steel Ingots and 1 Unit of Wood.

Steel Scimitar [Sword, Common, Quality: 21]: A curved blade that is useful for hooking enemies and slashing foes. Deals 2d6 slashing damage, but when the damage dealt is 6 or more, causes the target hit to take 1d4 additional slashing damage as bleed for 2 rounds. Can be used to hook enemies to the left or right of the wielder, and push them to the center of where the wielder is facing. If you successfully hook, they are pushed to the square, toppling over and those already there (within reason) and knocking all effected prone.

Order 2: Investigation into Strange Blue Ore

Shadow took to the time away from the drones to determine and inspect the blue ore they had discovered. Shadow began to run various physical tests to judge its physical attributes. Shearing, tearing, crashing; the ore seemed to be physical fragile, almost like paper. But, it seemed to be nothing more than that.

So to electrical, adding a small charge. The ore fluffed out like cat fur, almost vibrating like a purr of a cheetah. What did that mean?

To heat. It condensed, to cold it expanded. To wind and gale it flaked into triangle shapes consistently. What a fascinating material.

What was it? Something in its molecular structure indicated that something new laid in the nucleus of the material, but Shadow could not make sense of it, yet.

Experiment? Wait for later?

Scout:

What you saw was across the island from you, and despite your speed, it is not what your original was capable of, yet. But the monitor focused on the scene, seeing if it could determine more about it. Eyeing the monster in the meanwhile and a strange human coming to challenge it. Sadly before reaching some insights a fight broke out, and the monitor left to safety to not risk confrontation. It was one of your fellow travelers afterall. The only piece of information it collected was that the mass was growing and filled to the brim with smaller beings helping its spread.

Event: Eyes in the Forest

Your drones spot many eyes looking upon them. Not undead, likely human. They seem to be armed and eyeing your supplies.

Do you engage them with your new weapon? Speak with them? Maybe something that the ultimate battle lifeform devises?

Ore Processing: 2 units of Iron ingots (Now available next turn for crafting)

Event Results: Critical Survivors.

You rush to the scattered camp, using your medical practice and glances to rush to the most important survivors. At least from what you can tell.

Blood began to spread everywhere as the combined bleeding looked to be overwhelming, but standing firm, Gasem tended and tended quickly. To his luck, he focused more bleeding wounds over the most scary looking ones, which in this specific case was two different sets. Maybe some cauterization? Strange?

Using plant fibers and some plant glue, you patch up and save 11 of the survivors. One jock, one lankier, and the two pampered perished to their wounds. Most of them bleeding out, one pampered broke his neck attempting to help himself.

In total, here is a breakdown of those in your care:
  1. The Two Chained
  2. Five Jocks
  3. Four Lanky
I will provide a readout of what they are once they awaken. Which I expect will be in 2 turns. They will be able to work, though, I would advise against it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
However, there are two things to decide upon in the aftermath of this tragedy.

Where may you place the bodies, or what method would you use to honor the dead/ dispose of the bodies?

Infection risk: Due to the hurry case of the treatment, risk of infection is 100% possible. Do you have ideas on helping this situation? (Plants like Mint are natural anti-biotics and could help with possible infection.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Order 1: Wood Gathering & Egg Collection

Gasem quickly understood that the wounded he saved needed somewhere to sleep. The elements were unforgiving here, and despite the sudden tone shift in the environment, the heat would bring different problems than the cold. Though with the eclipse and the general lack of light, it became paramount to secure structure to help bring forth light. Gasem had thoughts of making tents for the survivors. The sand wasn't the best of ground, but submerged rock somewhat inland would work as the roots of palm trees and other tropical plants softened and made cracks that could hold up wooden beams. So, the trees that Gasem could see lead to a reasonable foothold for now.

Harvesting the trees were another matter. The living ones were impossible at first, but with some hardy plant fibers and some lift-able rocks, you were able to break the stalks and allow the eggs to drop. While a crude way to harvest the wood, the eggs cared not how, only if the trees were vanquished which Gasem did. There were some dead saplings that stayed relatively hardy, but they were able to be flattened. Making some panels, how useful.

You also stumble upon some primitive glue. What looks to be a strange plant mixing with the seaweed, making a sticky combination. With this, you could build some good structures and keep things cool with the cooling effects of the substance.

Cooling Glue becomes gatherable and as far as you know, it is infinite/renewable, for now. You also gather 2 units of it, which you use in your construction.

Gathering Yield:

2 Units of Eggs
4 Units of Wood
2 Units of Cooling Glue

Cove Renewable Resource Found:

Cooling Glue: A mesh made from plants of the seas of Noser, seems to be good as glue and dissipating heat.

Order 2: Medical Tent/ Hut

Using cracks in the submerged rocks to support, glue to tie the panels to the stalks , and the panels themselves, Gasem develops a "hut". An understatement to say the least. It was ugly as homemade sin and looked trashy, but it worked. And honestly. No one was a chooser right now.

Level 1: Medical "Hut": A shaky structure that is stable, but not strongly so. It is clean and capable of housing fifteen or so individuals with some mind to spacing. Much better than outside. Only gives 10 shards over the normal amount when fractals change.

Library Construction (Level 1): 2/4

Orbi Research: (16/400) Foundations of Magic

Order 1: Repair the Quill

The quill was an artifact of immense potential. And it once carried a sizable amount of power, a size that Klein could confirm. All that it was? Probably not. Klein did not know how capable it was, but as the saying goes, what you don't know could be anything.

In the rolling hills of Ragurilkug, Klein fiddled with quill, letting its now cleansed state be known. The quill seemed capable of using a variety of materials in its repair, but these materials are usually transmuted over time to what the quill is precisely made of, which is entirely unknown by this point. It take some tools and some elbow grease to get the process going, but Klein and his minions successfully began that process. Was anyone particularly skilled? Nope. But, the quill's design and recovering aspects clue to Gzor's lack of skill in that area as well.

Rolls were made for the progress that your minions, and they made an honest effort. Which wasn't much, but hey, hard to expect much with a magical quill and stuffing it full of much more mundane materials. While Klein would begin his plans for the quill, he could feel that its hull was not well. He could enact his plans, but the leakage of power would be apparent. Cleansing corruption is messy, and it looked that complications were abound.

Order 2: Explore the Outpost

It became clear to Klein and his small accompaniment underneath the umbrella that the outpost was armed and fortified once they reached the inner of the cloaking field. Incredibly strong walls bolted together, automated defense turrets, large sounds of machinery, and the small trickle of heated gas and smoke. Not much could be seen from over the walls, but the coastal position made it a tough cookie for a siege. There was only one place to attack, from the west as sea bordered all elses. Klein became quite interested in the fertile ground around the outpost. And just in view, he could see pipes leading deep under ground. A subterranean portion. Interesting. However, as weird as it sounds, there was not a single door. And scaling slick walls would be incredibly difficult, especially while needing to hold onto an umbrella. Or staying near it. Klein and Co. did notice tracks of belt wheeled vehicles and the scattering of debris from aerial fans and engines. The outpost looked to have some activity based on these markings. But, you have a guess they have been around for a week or so.

What you did discover in the surrounding landscape was some sort of intangble wiring that seemed to disappear and reappear in sections almost randomly. It held a navy tint and looked like an illusion. Except, it did not show the signs as such from your attempts to interact with it. It almost seemed to be somewhere else, but still visible and graphed to Noser.

Order 1: Crafting of High-Pitched Signal Device

While Superman was known for flying in the air and defeating evil-doers, he learned a great deal in his reporting days and casual glances from Batman's schematics. While Superman wielded great power, he still had a sharp mind. And Lex Luther, among others, would forget that fact. To be fair, it was hard to blame them in their folly. Often so cavalier and in the public view, we often take what we see as the full picture. A shortcut so-to-speak. And in that folly, has many mistakes been made.

But, that matters little now, Lex Luther would be a matter for when Superman would return. And heaven only know how that may go.

With Superman's departure, the Khameraz began their work to make a simple radio device. Primitive and easy to intercept, with some hazy at best controls. But, it was communication. And less than a quarter of the population could read, so radio getting incepted? That sounded like a pipe dream. So, you're androids began their work

Primitive Radio [Quality: 22, Common, Radio]: A simple radio that uses one frequency, and maybe could tune to another with some finesse. Has a range of 5 cells due to its low power output and inconsistency with this primitive power supply. Will allow instantaneous communication for most cases, but in time crunch situations, things will take time. Time that may not be had.

Order 2: Exploring of Winkhampton

Superman noticed quickly that Winkhampton was picked clean. The army that was stationed here after a siege ransacked the town and gathered it in their makeshift camps and occupation of homes. The dwarves that lived here were gone. Barren streets. There was nothing material to be had.

But, cracks were forming. Traces of smoke to be had. With some source of aggression suddenly gone and some strange call, you began noticing some of the back walls of Winkhampton, crack and chip away. Softly, slowly. What would that mean. With the locals gone, no one minded your exploration. And from these semisic events, you discover an observatory that looked sealed, examining the molten rock as part of tests of the volcano. You looked across the hand written notes.

Strangely, the metal supply rapidly increased in the rock while some sort of explosive material that explodes when chilled is slowly rising towards to the surface. That would be problematic considering the current state of surface affairs. Of course, the dwarves had no way to know how long it would take. From what you know, it could take years at the current impression. But, you can't be sure.

But one thing you could be sure, it looks like the walls of Winkhampton are not going to be breached. And that became increasingly concerning.

Order 1: Attempt some experiments by having Maureen put some of the stone gotten from the buildings of the around Khamsin’s hand and placing it within the gamma ray field (first testing to see how it reacts to being on his arm) before attempting to make a full suit of earthy armor to walk into the radiation field
------------------------

It became apparent quickly that the stones could be used to shield one from the radiation. But, while the stone could shield you where it would otherwise not, it still was stone. And grafting the stone around your massive body would prove to be initially easy, but keeping everything sealed was proving difficult. Any crack would yield massive damage to Khamsin, or anyone for that matter. Maureen could keep things stable, but your size and the technical requirements would bear risks. Could Maureen shield you? Yes. But, you would be blind and the slightest damage to the shell could be deadly. Of course, Maureen would only be able to control the stones from so far and for so long. But, despite all of flaws, it could be done.

Maureen seemed to be focusing on the enchantment intently while pushing himself further. He seemed intent on the challenge.

Order 2: Teach them fire doggos how to fetch better things and generally just train them on how to be good puppers
------------------------

Khamsin tried his best to teach the fire dogs. However, he often caught them at bad times, or they lacked response to his teachings. While retaining most of their personalities and memories, there are still some issues within that transfer. Incredibly minor might I say, but there nevertheless. With Khamsin simply out of tune with them, he makes little progress.

  • Towards the summit of Fasington, the intrepid Sigismund climbs to face the creature lurking at the summit. Volcanic activity is rising as the beast seems to notice your intentions. Rock splatters and crashes every which way as the lava is lifted and condensed like a ring around the disk. In a flash of red unlight, the disk reveals its true form. A mass of red and black writhing and creaking, with white armored plates to its sides as it formed into that of an elf. You see a glimmer of what you understand to be a soul at its core. But, you can't be sure as it does not match what you know for human souls trapped by demons. A large crack on the earth below you signals and alerts you to your rising altitude in the air. The eclipse darkness is replaced by the corrupted sky and the Noser faded from view as the twisted image of the defilers absorbs your view. From these details, you know one thing for sure. This appears to be some sort of leader for the horde approaching you. If you can defeat this beast, many lives can be saved.

    Can Sigismund prevail?

The beast begins to absorb the lava, glowing in its light. Causing darkness to befall the summit other than Sigismund's blade lighting the way. Three rocky platforms raise in the air holding creating tethers of energy, two each. One to the beast, the other to Noser. Their function is too alien to understand on a look. But, their importance even a blind man could tell. Sigismund stands on the outer edge, about 70 feet from the beast. The platforms stand at an internal radius of 30ft from the beast and 40ft in the air. The beast summons no allies with a cackle. It is confident it will not need any. And as the last light of Noser fades, you both are locked away. No other party will come a whisper tells you.

In the formation of the arena, the beast took its time and left its guard down. Whenever this is to carelessness or pride, Sigismund could not be sure. But, it did have a personality. Odd for something of its kind. But, he seized the first strike. What may he do? The beast is within melee range. And the smoke from Fasington has disappeared.

Sigismund moves his blade high, offers a pray to the Lady before lashing out at the beast to test its boundaries.

Holy light flooded the blade and then the beast as Sigismund jumped and crashed his blade to the creature's "head". It appears it was not as far as it seemed. Was there something playing with his mind? The creature reacted quickly and redirected the new null energy back at Sigismund in a mental blast. Swirls of grey filled the battlefield and multiple illusions began to occur.

Sigismund glowed brighter as the machinations of the beast failed. A bright light burned away the grey and the illusions vanished. He gains additional inspiration.

The beast swiftly condensed into the size of a baseball before releasing a spray of energy, flooding back like gelatin. Sparks fly through the earth as a tidal wave of crimson, misty energy through. Sigismund in trained instincts for the Demonlord Ascerk's famous wave blast slashed the blade through the wave creating a bubble of null energy. It's grey and oozy appearance looked foreign and alien. A clear product of the meeting of holy and corrupted energies. It looked to be useful as demonstrated by the beast. Would Sigismund wield these energies?

Some of the blast still landed, but it was mitigated.

The wave ceases as it leaves the edge of the battlefield. The beast began to prepare another attack. Would Sigismund channel the null energies?

No, to sully the Lady's power with the unclean corruption power was not acceptable, no matter the price he could end up paying for denying it.

The bubble faded, and the beast rolled its eyes as it did. Almost as it did not understand Sigismund's intentions and motivations. Which is likely did not, corruption has no business with such.

Forming a bow in hand, the beast fired off two arrows. They looked to be tears more than arrows. Inside of them, a glow animated that shuffled out a string of sorts from the fletchings.

One arrow strikes the ethereal armor, the other frays in the corrupted void behind. For the arrow that struck, the string moved. Nothing that inhibited anything, but there was a clear controlling purpose behind it. What, remains a mystery. Likely not for long.

After the shots, the three platforms begin to glow and the wounds of the chest and shoulders heal on the beast. The tethers widening as the wounds heal.

Meshes of the "flesh" entwine and make whole again as Sigismund makes his next move.

Sigismund is going to enter a guard stance and launch a wave of flame at one of the tethers to see if he can 'sever' it with holy energy.

Sigismund plants his feet, bracing his knees and elbows for blows as he sprays holy fire on the tethers. The connection is broken temporarily, but they seemed alive and quickly searched, found, and reconnected with the beast again. However, there appeared to be a gem on each platform that seemed to serve this function as some sort of invisibility was briefly interrupted revealing them.

The beast rolled its head in amusement. Finally opening its "eyes" before releasing two more arrows towards Sigismund.

The first fizzled at the edge of the summit, the other struck again. The string seemed to be priming for some motion. But it was not ready to do so yet.

The beast then melds into the ground and spreads its body in the earth. Domes of energy form at the edge of the summit, forming into alien shapes. Ready to collaspe. Sigismund could not forsee their purpose. But, the beast was out of reach to conventional methods at least.

The beast was doing something. The string that stuck to him, the strange shapes, the fact it had fled into the ground and.. the power it was drawing from the sky.. The light of the Lady seemed to disrupt the beast's foul sorcery, and he needed to get to those gems on the other floating islands. He had not wished to use it so soon, but the Lady often did not care about the best laid plans of man.

Wings of holy flame spread from Sigismund's back and he flew to the platform, he struck the gem quickly and cleanly. However, the consequences of soul fire would be rended. And the beast lay surprised as the holy flames spread across the summit. Null energy began to be made everywhere and the corrupted void began to blink as the flames traveled across the summit.

The summit earth fails the save against the soulfire and takes the 3d8. Causing multiple train reactions as corrupted energy leaves it.

The domes immediately collapse, colliding with the blast. Making impressive amounts of null energy. Null energy has one particular property (unknown to Sigismund but worthy of note for OOC purposes) that causes it to have immense weight on dimensions once it reaches critical mass. This piece of information may become relevant quickly. I will now roll for the damage of the dome to simulate the amount of null energy created as I have done with the blast to see if the threshold is met for this pocket dimension.

A massive amount of null energy is made and the beast emerges from the summit enraged. Despite other occurrences, the null energy sticks around and makes a cloud of smoke that inhibits visibility and plays with both Sigismund's mind and the beast's. llusions dot the battlefield, easily noticed as such for now.... By interrupting the beast's concentration, it loses its elvish form and jumps to the platform. Making a massive claw to swipe at Sigismund. You could see the amusement and some semblance of restraint be lost.

Sigismund expertly deflects one claw with a cleansing ring sound. However, the unnatural shape and lack of defined bodily structure caused the second claw to connect.

The beast then steps back and hovers mid-air above the center of the summit. Orbs of pink energy form in its hand as it points its fingers at you. Distorted thoughts begin to flood your mind from each orb in a different way.

Sigismund expertly ignores the thoughts. His devotion was too strong to sway. But, the lingering effects do cause some mild confusion, causing a -5 penalty to aim for the next round. However, you now have 3 stacks of inspiration. Sigismund has a sneaking suspicion that the beast is completely unaware of his abilities...

Pain. Pain everywhere. The blood ran down his torso to drip out of the ethereal plate onto the corrupted ground. Confusion. The beast was doing something. Its claws.. Hurt. It had been 'playing'. Like a animal with its food, but now it had been bitten and was wary. Afraid? Angry? Did these creatures know fear? Perhaps whatever creature, whatever elf, if that image was true, was still in there. Twisted and broken by the malicious energies. He could not save the elf. Sigismund was not a 'savior'. Perhaps he would lose, die here, but at least he would be with the Lady. He did not fear oblivion. The Soul Fire had done.. something to the energies of this place. It was so hard to see now.. he had no choice. He unfurled his wings and shot at the creature and unleashed another soul fire at point blank range.

Ultimately surprised by your actions. The blast rang in front of it, spreading to the gems. Both the beast and the gems would make saves against the soulfire, and depending on the result, critical mass may be achieved.

Another sudden burst of null energy enters the fray of the battle. It looks like nothing else happens until Sigismund sees an eclipsed sun in an instant. The corrupted void vanished with a hiss. The summit rock phasing in and out as it leaves the pocket dimension. Frays of corrupted energy spill out as Sigismund looks over the surface, seeing the outer walls of Winkhampton from above from an airplane view. The beast recoiled and fell down to the surface of Noser with Sigismund. He looked up, noticing the collapsing pocket dimension crumbling and turning to ash. The platforms below his feet vanish and Sigismund stands on the summit once again. The battle has changed. The gems are gone, but Sigismund and the beast battle on a falling summit that will collide with Noser at some point. The beast appears to have taken a lot of damage from the collapse and is somewhat fraying. However, it is not yet done. It has summoned large appendages and is steering the summit towards Gatford. However, before it could make progress toward this task. A purple fire descended and lifted the other side of the summit. It looks like Maura has intervened. You hear her whisper in your mind, "Kill that thing so I can steer this rock somewhere remote. I should be able to soften the land so it doesn't cause much damage. But, the sooner you kill it, the easier this will be." Her voice sounded with pressure and frustration. Not at you, but likely whatever difficult task she was doing. The beast has lost of its hp and has taken... 2 Wounds.

For a moment, a single moment, when the purple fire had descended from high, and a female voice had entered his mind, he dared to hope.. that in his moment of need, one of the many he had in his life, She had spoken to him. But as quickly as that flame flickered it died when he put the voice to the face. Maura. The odd mage of the other world, their 'guide'. He was not aware she could intervene, but he was thankful she did as he had no idea how he was supposed to stop this large rock from crushing everything even if he somehow killed the creature. With the creature trying to steer, Sigismund is going to fly at it and strike it with his blade, trying to pierce that 'light', the soul of the elf, he saw earlier if possible.

The beast dodged quite well, but despite that, Sigismund just barely struck the light. The beast shrieked and flailed. The light diminished.

At first, the light only diminished. Then, suddenly, it went out and the beast shattered like glass. Puffing into shards (harmlessly to sigi) and then to ash. Sigismund in a stylish pose had successfully performed the equivalent of a glory kill on the beast reenacting classical tales of demon and dragon slayers alike. A truly inspiring moment. With the appendages gone and at the direction of Maura, Sigismund separated from the platform and descended down to the surface, noticing the horde had surfaced. But, with the death of the hivemind, it wandered aimlessly and sheepishly until it suddenly vanished. In the sky, the summit glided into the deep north, into what Sigismund could conclude as a safe place to land. He had done it. With some luck and quite useful talents, Sigismund had slain the hivemind and averted disaster for the army and Winkhampton.

SHADOW ANDROID
The Ultimate Battle Life Form

Items
Decayed Chaos Crystal: 100 Shards [Crystal, Legendary, Quality: 250] This crystal is not what it was. The corruption has taken away most of its power. But, there is still a little left. What remains of its power gives Shadow Android a significant boost. Whenever he uses his chaos blast ability, his allies around him gains Minor Chaos that grant them either positive or negative chaos energy (pick one). With positive energy, allies project a shield that pushes Medium or smaller creatures away by 25ft. With negative energy, allies throw a spear that deals 2d6 chaos damage and destroys terrain underneath where lands, creating 10ft craters.
Basic Clothes
1 Steel Knife
[Melee Weapon, Quality 10].
A set of improved hand-held tools: Increases gathering rates by 2 units.
Steel Scimitar [Sword, Common, Quality: 21] A curved blade that is useful for hooking enemies and slashing foes.

5 units of Iron Ore
1 unit of Cobalt Ore
7 units of Ice Wood
2 units of Iron Ingots

Units
(x2) Hedgehogoid Robot [Hedgehogoid - Acumen/Glamour - Unit Value 5] These drones are of an unique design. Something that Eggman made. Some modifications of course. These are mechanical units that require electricity. But they work much faster than most other machines. This unit gathers an additional unit of resources when gathering as part of a order action. It also gains an additional 5 defence due to speed and has a natural thorns.
Structures
6ft Barrier Wall [Level 1, 50 shards]
Double Forge Level 2 [Anvil Attachment]: A forge with an anvil that will allow you to make weapons and tools. Processes 2 ores per turn. Allows for the crafting of metal weapons.
Mechanics
2 stacks of Authority

Shadow Android had grown restless spending his time researching the mysterious ore. He hadn't made any great breakthroughs in converting it into a suitable power source as of yet, despite devoting a considerable amount of time to the task, and so decided to change tactics by implementing a simpler strategy. He had wanted to avoid it, he was an android not a pathetic biological after all, but it was the most practical solution. Shadow Android would have his Hedgehoids gather eggs from the trees outside for them to consume. Albeit messy and inefficient, this would give him and his forces the supplies of energy they needed for the time being. Meanwhile, he would test the effectiveness of the Steel Scimitar his drones had crafted against the masses of zombies that shambled around the volcano. This would let him vent his frustrations and thin their numbers but more importantly, at the same time, allow him to potentially expand his forces and, by doing so, further his own plans for conquest.

Superman-Logo-Transparent-Background.png

Superman walked around the scarred settlement of Wikhampton, the battered battlefield seemingly saved from the horrible horde that encroached upon it. Standing alone in the town, Superman stood his ground as the very earth itself revealed the vile villains that his predecessors had unknowingly brought to these walls. Unsure but adamant, the Last Son of Krypton held his nerve, the spirits of his mote standing by his side unflinchingly as their foes numbers only grew.

But as quickly as they had come, the horde vanished. Absent and listless, the convergent corruption merely petered out and disappeared. From his years of heroics, Kal El quickly gathered their leader must have been vanquished as without it's head, evil very rarely lingers. Though it always returns, hence why the Man of Steel now looked over Wikhampton with the aid of his dogs. Noses to the ground, and ears to the heavens, Superman's canine companions looked for any sinister stragglers or scared survivors that may have remained hidden from view.

Without his powers it would be slower going, and quite possibly dangerous, but with others already doing their part by purging the corruption's captain, Superman could at least do this.

With no-one living or any bodies found yet, Superman hoped they had escaped or sought sanctuary somewhere. With the many ruined buildings and structures a suitable shelter, the Man of Tomorrow went to each, looking to ease the fears of any scared survivors but for now he came up empty. Whether this town was just a ghost now or not, Kal El wouldn't rest until he scoured every stone and beam of it.

• Much work had been done. Yet, so much more, was on the horizon. After all, for one, the treatment did not stop yet. Albeit true, that they were through the worst, there could still be complications! Infections! Death! And then what of all the hard work? It would have been mostly for nothing. No. He had already committed himself, to do everything he could and save these unfortunate souls.

But that required not only the gathering of herbs, plants and alike to reduce the risk of death, if indeed one or even forbid all of them were to be plagued with infections in the coming weeks to pass by. On top of that, there remained the issue of the dead bodies. As much center and cause for infection, it may prove to be even more fatal if they were to be raised into undead.

    *sigh*

Gasem had to hope, that his treatment towards the dead, would not come off as disrespectful later on. But even if it did, there was no other option, the risks simply were too great. If his knowledge and materials at least would have allowed him to create better ways to combat infection, then he could have risked it. Waited till the wounded woke up and let them decide how to deal with the bodies, but alas, that luxury, he had not.

The coming days and nights would be quite long, and just might prove to be a serious challenge.

Action 1: Gathering Eggs and Wood from the Area. (2,4,2,4) [7 Wood + 4 Eggs]

You continue to clear out the surrounding forest, increasing the area for building. (Increased building area around the north of Fasington). The snow and sleet from above crash against Fasington's north wall. With the lack of the canopy of the pines, the surrounding area becomes much more perilous and hazardous to work. Hazard increases in the area around Fasington by 1. A Prowess roll will be made in Competence. (No multiple dice, simply the level of the dice [d4, d6, etc.]) This does not affect this gathering action but will affect further actions. When the In competence roll result equals the Hazard value, gathers will be injured appropriate to the type of hazard. The damage of a hazard will be a d4 and cannot be lethal until Hazard 3.

Hazard can be managed by either using gear to counteract its effects or by clearing the Hazard itself. This ultimately comes down to the hazard.

However, you gather 7 units of wood and 4 units of eggs.

Ice and snow continue to build, though, it is hard to see in the shadow of the eclipse. Building in the snow will require two extra turns for construction unless the snow is handled in other ways. With Fasington losing its warmth, the temperature of the region could dramatically drop and your sensors feel it so.

Action 2: Steel Scimitar Horde Thinning. (4, 4, 2, 1, 4, 1, 2, 2) ; (4,6)

You raise up your new blade and began your athletic movements across the piles of snow and the ignenous rock wall of Fasington. With the rising snow and ice and the loss of Fasington's heat, the horde has begun to spread. Hazard across all areas around Fasington have increased by 2 (Mitigated by Shadow's actions) now that a true ambient (beyond the odd zombie) is established. Hazard in your local area is now 3.

You swipe and slash through the horde. As they disperse, it becomes more time consuming to chain kills from one pass. However, with the ice and snow impeding them, you have much more time to strike true and carefully, which to most observers would not be too much different than normal. You successfully slaughter 225 zombies over the week. (And gaining the appropriate stacks of 9)

Action 1: Investigating the Shrine. (1,4)

Superman investigated the shrine swiftly, once the chaos calmed down. Despite the obvious darkness across the landscape and the silencing of Fasington's light, the shrine carried a great deal of visibility. Massive amounts of fallen rock and dust have scattered the details of the shrine. With care and caution, you piece together the rooms and find some things in the rubble. But, with the top portion of Fasington gone. The shrine will need to be excavated to find the full breath of what the inner chambers of the shrine hold. You find a series of coin purses, holy books written in what you understand to be Elvish.

Action 2: Gathering food with the Doggos. (3, 4, 4) + 4

'Lady, I beg thee hear me.
For yet the night is long,
I fear the coming of the dawn.
Stay with me as I rest'

'Lady, I beg thee hear me.
For though my travel is long,
I fear where I shall tread.
Stay with me as I walk.'

'Lady, I beg thee hear me.
For my end is near,
And I fear the void.
Stay with me as I pass.'

'Stay with me as I journey to your realm.
Stay with me as I dine at your side.
Stay with me as I have stayed with you.'

The soft Happy Birthdays whispered in the night as Sigismund held his blade before him, the flames of the blade flickered in the night as he completed his prayer. The paladin had climbed the volcano and faced the horror that lived on top and, as self evident, he had survived. It was not the first time he had slain a great beast in the name of the Lady, but he could hardly remember any time it had come so close. If the beast had not been so intent on playing with its prey, it would not have fallen. It was the arrogance of the Corrupted that lead to its downfall more then anything he did, still it was good to have spared the lives of the soldiers who would have surely fallen against the horde and, if they had fallen, it was hard to tell how far and wide it would have rampaged. Yes, the Lady's work had been carried out this day and he felt something akin to pride worm its way into his heart, there was little shame in taking some small pleasure in a duty well carried out.

Sigismund sheathed his blade and lowered himself back down to the ground, to the impromptu campsite that consisted of little more then a fire and a small pile of gold, gems and random odds and ends he had taken from the beast lair. His actual supplies were with his horses at the fallen domain of the dwarfs and would be out of reach until the morning. Lacking any real cloth for bandages, as his own clothes were soiled with his own blood, he had to go for more drastic measures, using the blade of the Lady to sear his wounds shut. Not ideal for infections, even Sigismund knew that much, but an infection in a week was better then bleeding out now. Perhaps the holy nature of the blade would help with that? He doubted it, but who was he to claim knowledge over the realm of the divine? Still, the holy flames had certainly hurt as much as any flame he had ever had the unpleasant misfortune to touch.

The paladin reached out and gripped the ancient helm he had found in the lair and held it under the light of the fire, turning it in his hands as he examined it. Why was this there? Why had it kept this and for what purpose? A trinket of some sort? A prize from a prey? Or did it hold some power or hidden meaning for the corrupted? It seemed some of them had some level of intellect, enough to have pride and arrogance.. There was so much about all of this he did not understand. Such as Maura. She had come to help him, or, well 'come' was a strong word, she had helped him from wherever she was. Which was odd. Why had she done so? She seemed powerful, far more powerful then any of them, why did she need them? At first he had thought it was simply because she could not interact with these worlds, perhaps the price she paid for such power, but that wasn't it... so why? Why had she not helped when he faced down the beast? Why had she not helped when they faced the Angel of Death? She had merely watched their struggles. Why did she help with one aspect and not the rest? Sigismund closed his eyes as he mulled it over, not sure what answers were correct, or what answers he'd even find satisfactory if they did hold truth.

No.. he did not understand this, but he wasn't meant to and did not need to. Sigismund was a paladin and would serve Her as he had always done, follow the Lady's Light, wherever it led.
