Dazed, confused, but chugging on.
Everyone loves cartoons. Everyone hates not being able to fight, laugh, or love alongside them. People made programs where other people could interact with them, sure, but those were still just AIs. Coding. Pixels. Not the same.

In comes a large group of genetic scientists, their heads bulging with knowledge about genetically modified organisms, how one could possibly create life from nothing but a few cells. Fortunately, most of them were just as geeky as those who desired what they were about to do.

It took years, days and days of confusion, failure, and close calls with the authorities. But, finally, their worn old facility was shaken by a great cry of joy. The first living fictional characters were created. They were kept within test tubes, but they had breaths. Heartbeats. Bloodstreams. Almost exactly the same.

Unfortunately, it would still be a long time before these characters could safely be integrated into the real world. To keep the clones stimulated, they were hooked up to a machine that would safely wrap them in a virtual habitat perfectly suited to them. Although they didn't interact with each other, the clones' brainwaves showed that they were happy and healthy, as if they were just children dreaming sweet dreams. As peaceful as it looked, the experiment was still highly fragile. The scientists all knew that one mishap could awaken the clones prematurely, and possibly even unleash them on the real world.

Welcome to an RP partially inspired by Mewtwo Strikes Back! This time, our characters technically aren't really our characters, but genetic experiments. Each one is in a deep sleep, contained in a virtual world closely resembling their respective franchises, completely unaware they're GMOs. But things have been shaky around the facility, and the risk of them being unleashed into the real world grows bigger every day...

This is a very interesting concept you have, and I would love to be a part of this if you'll have me :)
