Personality: In two words, borderline unhinged. Her upbringing has left with a very select few social skills, most of those gained from watching how her father would talk to people. She maintains a constant emotional distance from other people, generally staying on the fringe outskirts of society and doing everything in her power to not be noticed by the dregs of the world. She has a fascination with other mages and their magecraft, going so far as to abduct several mages and attempt to cut out their magical circuits to try and gain a better understanding of how they work. She is sometimes accused of psychopathic behavior due to her lack of general empathy. Its safe to say that Akane has never had a real friend in her time on earth.



Background: The Nishioka family moved to the United States only shortly before Akane was born, making her a natural US citizen. Her mother passed in childbirth. Her early life was tumultuous as her family constantly moved, sometimes moving upwards of three times a year. Her father worked odd hours and had seemed to be particularly interested in the lives of several high ranking politicians. Akane recognized the pattern by the time she was 8; every time a politician would turn up deceased, they moved. It was when she 10, a strange and alienated girl to the world around her that her father began to teach her.

She entered both into the world of magecraft and contract killing from this young age. Her father taught her the many strange skills he had developed over the years, most of which revolved around using their natural precognition to become more attuned to the possibility of danger. The simplest way he used it was to stalk his targets and only make a move when the feeling went away. This was the way she taught to take her first life at the tender age of 15. To both her fathers and her own surprise, the usual visceral reaction a killer has on their first hit wasn't apparent in Akane. Instead, she said she felt a great emptiness.

As she nearly turned 18, her father moved back to Japan, bringing Akane with him. He had taught her Japanese for most of her life, leaving her fluent in both English and Japanese.

Wish for the Holy Grail: A restart to her life.

COMBAT STATISTIC

Magecraft: Precognition. In ancient times, when mages could do something more in line with true magic, her family could predict the future. In the modern day she can only feel a slight twinge telling her something is about to happen, but very little if anything else comes with the feeling. She can do a form of ceremony that would allow her to more accurately perceive the future, but it is a far more taxing method that isn't always viable.

Special Abilities: Is an incredible shot with firearms, though her magecraft helps with that since it usually puts her on edge and into a heightened state of awareness.

They share a spirit origin, so cannot separate from one another and if one dies, the other perishes as well due to needing both bodies to maintain their Saint graph.)

Personality:
Two bodies, one soul. The twins that make up Lao Tzu are just as much the physical embodiment of Yin-yang as the Tao Ce Ching is the sum of their thoughts.

For Lao Jun, the lighter side of the two, she is often seen as the softer, kinder of the two. She seems willing to help strangers, guide the weary, and protect the innocent from the moral evils of the world. Seemingly, she is a bastion of positive thoughts and actions. The truth of her benevolent nature is far from a heroic stance against the injustice of the world. To most who will ever mingle with Jun, she comes across as friendly and bubbly; almost selfless and carefree with her attitude and actions. Everything she does has some tint of evil at the edge of it. Her selfless nature is a front that others would praise her. Her bravery in combat is nothing more then her natural bloodlust manifesting. Even her protectiveness of her brother is simply a fear of being alone in the world without someone who can understand her.

For Lao Dan, the opposite is true. His actions come across as being simplistically cruel or ill-natured. His attempts to help others usually revolve around guiding them in the proper direction so they may benefit from the lesson on their own, though he may be overly callous in his approach and words while doing so. He is often mistaken for a coward due to his preference for inaction, when in reality he simply doesn't wish to see harm come to others at his own hands. HIs protection of his sister is simply a reaction that he would be riddled with guilt were she to die due to his lack of diligence.

The greatest diffrence between the two is their aspirations for the Grail. Dan wished for the grail to create a utopia for all humanity, where they live in harmony with the world with himself acting as a paternal father to keep the peace and quiet. Jun wants it to create a kingdom in her name that would spread the Tao through any means necessary. Together though, they would create a kingdom of wisdom to guide humanity.

The main method of magic used by Lao Tzu is Fulu, a paper talisman with several Chinese characters written over it or bronze coins. The paper talismans are meant to ward away and destroy malevolent spirits, while the coins are used to make barriers to ward off enemy attacks. The paper talismans can also be made to heal others, though this method is far less used. They can generate up to 12 talismans or 1 coin with ease at a time, the Taoist Teachings skill allowing the minimal charge of mana with the most damage possible.

Territory Creation B
Anywhere Lao Tzu is will eventually become a space for their teachings. It will corrupt an area that will become more resistant to enemy magecraft and boost their own. The further from the center of their territory one gets, the weaker the effect will occur. The territory is finished when they can manifest a copy of the Tao Te Ching (Their third NP) in its center. If this is allowed to occur, their territory will become a sanctuary that will severely weaken any servant or master, their own included, that doesn't follow Taoist philosophy.

Intersect of Yin-Yang B
The ability of humans to change their own nature, this allows both bodies of the Servant to exist at the same time. This skill allows them both to interact with physical matter at the same time, however like the Yin Yang they base this off, they are unable to leave each others sides and their fate is linked to each others existence. If this skill is somehow sealed, they lose the ability to both interact with the world around them nor be interacted with.

Taoist Techniques A
Founder of the Tao, the Lao twins are capable of using anything directly connected to the Taoism , from their easily crafted Fulu to the the Tao Te Ching itself. It is also similar to the Independent Action Skill, as Taoism has a focus, ironic as it is, on self-efficiency. They can only maintain masterless state if they can gain enough territory to have a significant following to maintain mana stores through donations from said followers.

Wu Wei A
This skill allows the Lao twins to walk on water and ignore any other difficult terrain with no issue. If given time to prepare, they can also meditate into stillness, gaining the weakest form of Presence Concealment while they maintain that status. It also provides them with a very loose type of divinity. They gain no benefits from it but they would be more sharply harmed by anti-divine weapons.

Personality:

Vicinte is like any other mage, wishing to reach the Root. Although he does not believe that he himself can achieve such a feat, he still wishes to pursue the path of the Root for the simple sake of witnessing Akasha. As a mage, he sees the orthodox approach of the mages that are older than him as useless, only breeding failure and leading to those that would be allies to fight each other.

He did not care for his family, and his obligations as a mage implored him to gain more power, and even though he is shunned because of his actions, he still takes full responsibility for the sins he has committed, fully embracing the sin of slaughtering his family. Even though he knows that what he did was unforgivable in the eyes of the mages around him, he does not mourn the death of his family, even though he was the one who killed them. There is only one thing that trumps his hatred for his family: his obligations as a magus, he knows that his family would despise him for committing the sin of tarnishing their beauty, but he does not care. He believes that the death of his family is a “rebirth” of the Sanabria family name, a new era of order and proneness as mages that would bring them to new heights of power.

There is something deep within Vicinte, a deep hatred that swells so potently that it is sensed by even those that cannot detect magical energy, an aura filled with so much disdain for those that would exploit their children for their own amusement that it makes the mages around him cautious at his presence. The deep hatred that he holds is something that he knows could eventually consume his life, but he does not care, as he knows that his will is enough to handle it.

In terms of hobbies, he enjoys playing video games, which is unusual for a mage, let alone someone of his caliber, and yet, he still enjoys contemporary culture, often using slang and language of the modern era in his conversations, often confusing his fellow mages with his language. He is someone that likes to joke around to hide the rage and cold hatred that is within him, often doing silly things to entertain others, always wanting to be the center of attention so others can laugh at him and with him so that he can distract himself from the chaos that is currently going on within him.

He is someone, that once getting the crests of the heretic magi that he captures, gives them to the Association instead of keeping them for himself, as he does not think of himself as someone that is responsible enough for the burden of entire families on his back.

Background:

The Sanabria family was a family that existed since the start of the colonization of Colombia by the Spanish, born from the mixing of the Natives and Spanish Colonizers. Their first generation magus was a man with a decent amount of talent. “Above average” some would say, but the one thing that made him stand out from the other mages in his area was the fact that he was fascinated by the prospect of modifying his form, as he saw it as the ultimate expression of art that one can engage in. When crafting his family’s craft, he based it on Alchemy, as he saw that as the most beautiful art possible and the pathway for him to modify his body in a way that would produce a bizarre form of beauty, and so began the history of the Sanabria family, the artists that wished to shape their bodies in such a way that would make them gods.

Over the generations, the beauty that the founder tried to convey was tarnished, his descendants somehow coming to the conclusion that in order to become gods, as they wished to be, they had to perfect the morbid horror that was their bodies, not caring for the morality of doing so and instead only wishing to become “beautiful” in a way that would horrify even the

It was a tradition of their family, a mark of their artistry really, that they would send their children while they were young to fend for themselves in the world, monitoring them with their extensive familiar networks and making sure that they progress in their metamorphosis into true artists of death and bodily horror. It was to be expected that most of the time, only one, those that survived would come back without parts of their bodies, crippled, usually becoming hardened and scarred by the experiences that they have endured. The vast majority of them came back broken, as the familiars would guide them to paths of war that they could not escape no matter what, and so, as the generations passed by, each child become more and more demented, their fathers and mothers being the victims of their parents’ machinations to craft something that could comprehend the morbid beauty of the Sanabria, their “love” showing in the showing of the morbid beauty of the world to their children, their bodies being twisted into someting unrecognizable. They had to see their own guts, the blood flowing through their veins to truly understand how to make one beautiful beyond the limits of human flesh, and so, they were sent to war where they would witness the worst of humanity and come to understand why the bodily horror of the Sanabria was so beautiful.

When Vicinte was born, he was soon sent to another, mundane family that the Sanabria had connections to. Said family was near the recruiting grounds of the local rebels, and so, once he came of age, he was separated from his foster family and turned into a child soldier, fighting in the Colombian Conflict as a young child. There he learned the ways of war, and he was forever damaged by the experiences that he was in. When he was but a young teen, he was sent to the most intense of battles, fearing for his life and trying to stay alive the best he can, and because of this, his skills in combat were honed to what they are now.

Eventually, the time came when the family would welcome him into the fray of their artistry, and he was pulled from the hellish battlefields of the Colombian Conflict and given immediate training in magecraft, adapting quite well to the training, as he was born with a great deal of talent and intelligence. However, once he learned that the strange people that took him in were in fact the people that essentially sent him to the hell that was war, he began to foster a deep hatred for them.

This hatred would fester and rot until the moment that inherited his family’s crest, and eventually awoke the sorcery traits that were the result of the family messing with their bodies on a microscopic level, and eventually, once he discovered the traits that mutated with the passing of the crest, he began intense research into what he could do with them, eventually discovering the art of the Flow and Transfer of Power and becoming enraptured with it.

The traditions of the Sanabria were strange, as they gave the magic crest of their family to their heir before were enrolled in the Clocktower, and so, when Vicinte eventually came to the Clocktower, he had already began his research into the Flow and Transfer of Power, and so he was incredibly notable in his time there, acing the classes that his professors gave him and gaining the rank of Pride at a young age. The mages at the Clocktower were monitoring his progress closely, as they saw great potential in him, potentially becoming a Brand, however, an unfortunate event would leave them baffled.

You see, as time went on, the hatred in his heart only festered even more, and eventually, he began planning on taking the circuits of his family with his magecraft, killing them in the process and gaining unimaginable power. And eventually, he went through with his plan, striking in the dead of the night as his family slept. As he knew all the defenses of his estate and family, he could easily slip past the protections that his family had set up, and in a stormy night, he quietly struck down every member of his family by forcibly transferring their magic circuits into himself, killing them in the process. No one suspected him, as he had made sure to wipe out all traces of his existence from the crime scenes, and only one member of the family - aside from him - survived, that being his uncle, who he spared so that he would form another family that he could extract circuits from to become even more powerful.

After this, he ended up becoming something of an enforcer, participating in the missions of those that would hunt down heretic magi and would secretly extract the magic circuits from some of his enemies, growing his power even further.

In the end, he eventually graduated from the Clocktower and reached the rank of Brand, and was granted the color title of Yellow, becoming a lecturer at the Department of Individual Fundamentals.

During his days of lecturing, his potential increased even more, showing the ability to transfer conceptual properties and even magic crests along with many other things with his prowess, and for his immense talents, he was even considered for the rank of Grand at young age of 26, and when the Association was informed of the existence of another Holy Grail beneath the ruined city of Fortuna City, he offered himself to be sent in the war as the representative and overseer of the war.

Wish For the Holy Grail: None, because he is someone that is meant to be impartial, however if he did possess a wish, then he would want to reach Akasha, as all mages would want to.

General Fundamentals:

The fundamentals that Vicente learned in his time in the Clocktower. He learned common magical knowledge, basic leyline and mana studies, sympathetic magecraft and contagious magecraft, along with many other things.

Sorcery Traits: Compatibility & Transference

Two attributes that Vicente was born with, which made him the potential start for a new golden age for his family, granting him an advantage over other old blood mages. The first aspect of these traits is Compatibility, which allows him to transplant the parts of other beings and things such as magical crests into him with no difficulty or rejection from his body or spirit, as well as causing anything that would have rejected the body or spirit to be forced to accept them. It also grants him the ability to transplant parts of the bodies of others to other people and replace their body parts with the right materials. The attribute of Compatibility is something that also allows for the control of how much the body and spirit accepts the parts that are transplanted, allowing him to reject intrusive implants that he does wish to have. Compatibility also allows him to handle the excess burden that transferred things might put on his body and spirit with a great deal more ease than normal mages.

The second attribute, Transference, enhances the capabilities of magecraft that transfer or transplant things from one object to another, allowing him to more efficiently transfer things such as mana from one object to another, and also allows the storage of mana and other forms energy and information in things that normally would not be able to efficiently store them. This trait also amplifies the energy that is transferred from one object to another, granting the objects more than what could be expected of a normal magus without this trait. This primarily enhances Vicente’s focus on the Flow and Transfer of Power, giving him an immense advantage when it comes to this specific brand of magecraft. This also grants him the potential to transfer things from one object to another that would not normally be transferable, such as magic circuits, properties of objects , physical matter and energy. This also lets Vicinte transfer things from multiple sources at once and to transfer things to multiple objects at a time.

Evolved Flow and Transfer of Power:

One of the three of Vicente’s specializations, and one of the things he dedicates his entire life to. Much like a certain family that practices hyper-specialized displacement magecraft, he is someone that has reached new heights never seen before for those of his family. His prowess in this magecraft is truly something to behold, a decade and half of non-stop honing and research led to him developing the ability to transfer not just magical energy or information, but also things that one could never think to transfer, such as the properties and concepts present within objects and the magic crests of other mages - with the consent or death of the person that the crest is being transferred from of course, and with condition that the one receiving the crest must be a direct relative. He is even capable of extracting the magic circuits of other mages and implanting them within himself with the right circumstances.

Because of his attribute of Transference, he is also able to store these things in objects that one would not suspect, such as within strange mystic codes and living lumps of homunculi flesh.
The ability to transfer the properties of objects from one object to another on a conceptual level is also something that he is adept in, allowing him to transfer properties such as “hardness” or “elasticity” from one object to another, granting them new properties.

One detail to note is that a being or object with higher magical energy can cancel this spell, nullifying it.

This magecraft also requires precision for things that are delicate in transference like Mystic Eyes, requiring Vicente to be immensely focused on his work.

He can also do things like heat up an object by transferring the energy of the surrounding area to that object, allowing him to have some offensive capabilities.

One can say that this magecraft can no longer be called “The Flow and Transfer of Power”, as it has become something entirely evolved from the original magecraft that it is derived from, giving Vicinte his unique abilities that he prices so much.

Because of this hyper-focused approach to magecraft, he is only knows the bare minimum required to pass as a mage outside of his research and training in Flower and Transfer of Power, along with his family’s research and foundation, giving him the reputation of someone that is only good for a few things, and those few things along. The capabilities of his craft are based on the attributes that he has, making him a unique case that is teetering on the edge of a Sealing Designation.

This path to the Root that Vicente wishes to use is to eventually transfer the properties of powerful beings such as Phantasmal Beasts, Daemons and other such beings so that he could become a “higher entity” that could reach the Root through its immense power. Like most of the theories that mages create, this is still hypothetical of course, and not something that has been solidified, as doing so would require contact with powerful beings such as Phantasmal Beasts, Daemons, powerful spirits and Elementals. This theory, although foolish in the perspective of some, is the only path to the Root that Vicente is counting on.

Arm of the Beholder:

The result of Vicinte tampering with the research of mystic eyes that his family conducted, modifying an arm to hold several artificial eyes that have had the abnormal magic circuits of various mystic eyes transferred into them, turning the artificial eyes into mystic eyes that function just as they did in their original hosts.

In order to spot which eyes are compatible with his body and spirit, he has commissioned a set of artificial mystic from the Lehrman family and has implanted them into his eye sockets,, and due to his trait of Compatibility, he is able to safely implant them. These eyes can see the magic circuits of those that he looks at, which can even spot them even when they are not triggered by the user. It allows him to see the abnormal magic circuits in the eye that causes the phenomenon of mystic eyes, and also gives him information of whether or not the mystic eyes are compatible and if the magic circuits and crests of the people he is looking at are compatible with him.

These eyes can be deactivated with relative ease, although they are quite straining when they are active, making them something only to be used in the most dire of times and circumstances that require their use, because of this, he often covers his arm in bandages that suppress the abilities of the mystic eyes, reducing the strain that is placed on his body and spirit by quite a bit, making him able to properly function in magus society without collapsing because of the strain that the mystic eyes he possesses have on his brain.

He acquired these mystic eyes by participating in the activities and missions of enforcers, stealing countless eyes from heretic magi.

The arm that the artificial eyes are grafted into is incredibly durable, made from materials that make the Alchemical piece something truly to behold in terms of durability, power and speed compared to the rest of the body. The abnormal magic circuits that have been implanted on the eyes are as follows:

Enchantment: These are the most prevalent in number, and are capable of causing a high-level hypnosis on their targets.

Flame: These are decent in number, and cause combustion wherever they are targeting, potentially starting large fires and mass destruction.

Illusion: Very few in number, but causes those that come into eye contact with it to experience illusions that can be controlled and can alter the sense of perception of their targets.

Compulsion: The rarest of the bunch, which allows the user to forcefully take control of the body of the target and compel them to follow the user’s commands.

Binding: Decent in number. Casts a suggestion spell that cripples the target upon eye contact.

A combat homunculus created through collaboration with other mages in competition to find out who could create the most beautiful and deadly homunculus. Such games were played in teams, and Vicinte participated and contributed to his team by implanting artificial mystic eyes into the girl, specifically an incredibly rare set of Mystic Eyes of Precognition that were capable of far more predictive calculations that their more mundane counterparts. Such items were bought for a fortune on the Rail Zeppelin, and another fortune would be spent by buying the corpse of a fairy so that could transfer the mana core of said fairy into this homunculus, granting her a truly extraordinary amount of magical energy production.

In terms of combat, she is a top-notch homunculus. Some would say that she is some of the best work that Clocktower mages have created recently, as a result, she is arrogant about her status and often condescendingly talks to others like they are beneath her. She especially sees herself as higher than other homunculi, and treats her own kind quite rudely, as she sees herself as something like royalty.

The reason why Vicinte is the one who has ownership of such a powerful homunculus was that the Alchemists that worked on her with him didn’t really take their work seriously, only thinking it as a petty game that they participated in for fun, and not something to be taken seriously like so many other affair of mages. Needless to say, the people that he worked with were eccentrics and weirdos, who saw only fun in the opportunity of creating a top-notch homunculus. Because of their eccentricity and the fact that they did not take their work seriously, they decided to decide who would keep the homunculus girl by seeing who passed out last in a drinking binge. Although Vicinte is not someone that drinks or smokes, he still accepted the challenge at the prospect of getting the homunculus, as he wished to experiment with her to turn her into his bodyguard. The reason he did so much for her is because the cash prize for the competition by a wealthy family was higher than the costs for the mystic eyes and the corpse of a fairy that he procured.

She possesses a sarcastic personality, often condescendingly talking down on others and often thinks herself far smarter than she actually is, even though she is already quite intelligent.

Deep inside, Vicente considers her his “daughter”, and although he does not want to admit it, he is someone that sees her as someone precious, for despite her arrogant and condescending personality, she possesses a sweeter side to her, often caring for the stray animals near their dorm with gentle care.

The magic crest of the Sanabria family, containing their collective research into their own unique brand of Alchemy and their research into mystic eyes. Because of Vicinte’s actions, the magic circuits of his entire family, save for one, who he spared to later claim the magic circuits of their descendants. The magical circuits contained within are many in number, containing the collective circuits of over five hundred years of magi, and the crest has been somewhat affected by Vicinte’s stealing of his family’s circuits, gaining some amount of circuits.

The knowledge contained within the crest is truly enormous, as the memories and knowledge of the family that he slaughtered has also been transferred to the crest, giving him a truly massive library of knowledge from all around his family, which grants him quite the insights when he wishes to know more things than he currently has. The sorcery traits that he possesses are a result of his magic crest mutating when it was transplanted to him, which was caused by the extensive bodily modifications that his family did on themselves, producing a mutation that would ultimately be their end.

Fleshcrafting Alchemy: A unique form of alchemy that the Sanabria family used as their foundation and that Vicinte mastered to new heights of prowess. It allows attachment of new body parts and organs, although it comes with the risk of rejection if not properly transplanted, however, Vicente does not have this weakness, as he has the sorcery trait of Compatibility, granting him the ability to graft body parts and organs as long as he does not overwhelm himself with the magical energy of the transplanted body part. This also allows modification of the bodies of living beings, granting those that know of it the ability to shape their flesh.

Mystic Eyes Expertise: The research on mystic eyes that the Sanabria family conducted in order to modify their bodies even further. It was in their vain attempts to become something more, to become a god to reach the Root, that they birthed the possibility of Vicinte’s prowess in all things related to mystic eyes, including their replication, identification of specific mystic eyes by their circuit formations or patterns, study, and countermeasures to mystic eyes, which includes the crafting of mystic eye killers and mystic codes to protect oneself from the effects of mystic eyes. Vicente’s skill in this far surpasses any of his family.

Gifted Child:

Vicente was granted the great gift of intelligence with his birth, along with his amazing magic circuits and attributes, it almost seemed like he was blessed, or some would say, cursed by God himself to live a life of extraordinary opportunities. As a magus of deep blood he was able to stand out from the rest of the oldbloods by being exceptionally talented in the art of academics, of course, because of his experiences, he is also incredibly talented at observation and prediction of motivation and actions, often figuring out the course of the enemy with just the right amount of information. He is also adept at teaching others, being able to properly lecture an entire classroom with decent amounts of success.

Child Soldier:

At a young age, he was recruited to be a child soldier that would participate in the Colombian Conflict. Knowing nothing but war for a large portion of his formative years, he is someone that possesses the necessary skills to survive in major conflicts, including but not limited to: survival skills, martial arts, weapons mastery, improvised weapons proficiency, martial arts, and the mentality to stay sane and calm while doing or witnessing the worst atrocities than man can muster, because of this, he is someone that has an threatening aura to him, as he was ready to pounce on the people that he meets. He is also very physically fit. He is also very skilled at psychological warfare, as he would often use terror tactics to make his enemies give up in the conflicts that he has participated it.

Unbreakable:

Vicente was raised in an environment where even the slightest hint of weakness could mean his life, with the tiniest break of focus meaning the end of one’s life, and in that environment, he adapted to the hardships that he faced, developing a will that break the chains of fear that would hold him down. He also possesses an impeccable work ethic, being able to study and dedicate his entire life to a single subject if need be, with the addition of several other subjects not being a pain for him, as he had to work hard to gain the acknowledgement of his employers. His focus and determination are truly something to behold, and he can endure the most painful of experiences with a smile on his face.
