Fantasy "Flight of The Dark Sun"

BookDragon3

Very sus

  • Setting

Due to vast climate changes after the reawakening, Mother Nature returned to her natural state of running the planet. Much of the world is carpeted in dense, moist forests with trees towering far above even the largest dragon's head. These forests are rich with life, birds and the occasional farrie. The remnant of the once proud civilization of man now crumble in ruin scattered throughout. Densely green thickets of ivy and sprawling fields of grasses as far as the eye can see. Seasons and weather are of a volatile and unpredictable nature.

    Wildlife:

Tau'l - A quadrupedal reptilian hunter. A Tau'l hunts in large packs often ranging from 8-12 members, rarely seen alone. With strong muscles and a very thick hide, they are built for harsh combat and deadly prey.

They often keep to forests and Drer areas, rarely do they venture out to the open plains or coastal areas. Not much for climbing as they are at risk from flying threats, they spend the majority of their time on land where they are a much more formidable foe.

Anrik´: Feline-like creature with massive claws and a thick hide. These are primarily solitary animals and spend most of the daylight hours hiding from the sun. They thrive in the nighttime and are deadly to young dragons. Commonly found in mountainous terrain and tend to dig dens in hollowed out trees.

    1602369140012.png

Kalu - They are the most common aerial creature in the land. They look very harmless and are the main scavenger of the land and skies. Having no clear defensive weapons these scavengers are highly skittish and rely heavily on strength in numbers to survive. Although not generally seen as Fen'zi, dragons have been known to hunt them in times of famine.

    Prey/Fen'zi:

Blue Fen'zi - The smallest prey animal, even young dragons can kill these very easily. They are for an easy or convenient catch or if the food options are at their minimum. These are seen as easy kills and offer little glory in the eyes of dragons.

    1602369426151.png

Horned Fen'zi - With an impressive crest a Horned Fen'zi are a bit more difficult to catch. But still even a young dragon can hunt them regularly. Seen as an easier hunt. Both male and female of this species carry antlers and both can inflict injury if they are not hunted correctly.

Armored Fen'zi - An armored Fen'zi often travels in large groups. And are difficult to take down without a lot of experience doing so. Even the most skilled dragons are cautious. They are a respectable prey.

    1602369455698.png

Brute Fen'zi - A Brute Fen'zi is a well respected prey to dragons. They can kill dragons and are known to do so. Primarily found in the open plains and along the coast.

Name: Kyrell

Age: 25,000

Breed: Nagarid

Breath Element (based on breed): Nether

Appearance/Description: 1602518173859.png

Gender: Male

Mate (if applicable): None

Size: 25 feet at the shoulder, 90 feet from snout to tail tip

Skills: As a Nagarid Kyrell is naturally venomous; Primarily delivered through bite, Kyrell is known to coat his talons in the potent cocktail as well. Lithe and nimble for his size, Kyrell combines his physical and mental agility to out wit and out maneuver his opponents.

Pack Rank: Alpha

Personality: A cool intellect matched by ferocious predatory urges, Kyrell is level-headed, measured, and slow to anger while also having cruel, dark, and violent tendencies. Buried beneath the darkened scales and piercing eyes is a well of powerful emotion. Kyrell thinks and feels deeply in equal measure, though he rarely lets anyone outside of Sorin see this.

Bio/History: Once mature dragons only breed once every so many centuries. It is rare for the clutches to be larger than five, maybe six eggs. It is even rarer for one of those eggs to produce twins. Only one egg was laid to the clutch that brought Sorin and Kyrell into the world. Their sire and dame were shocked, along with the entire flight, when that egg not only produced twins, but twin Nagarids.
It is said that Sorin and Kyrell are one soul within two bodies; Opposites in personality, color, and element, nonetheless their bond runs deeper than blood. Kyrell was born melanistic; A direct opposite of Sorin's albinism, and in many ways that foreshadowed their whole development.

The brothers grew up in the shadow of the Yggdrasil. Drinking it's amber and learning the deep truths through the song. They were both still under breeding age when the song began to speak of changing tides. Lulled to the deep sleep with the rest of their kind, neither Sorin nor Kyrell new of the long dark that would envelope them, or the changed world that awaited them when they woke all those centuries later.

Pack Rank: Hunter

Personality: She is always full of energy and is friendly to most dragons she meets. She is quite vain and will often take time to preen her feathers into perfection. She is nervous and timid around most dragons. She holds no fear for predatory creatures or even the toughest of Fen’zi, even if she really should. She thinks Bei’oc look both stupid and adorable.

Bio/History: Cicufel was born in a large pack that consisted entirely of dragons of the [Poison] breed. Her young life was prosperous as her pack held a valley that was rich in Fen’zi. Unfortunately the prey eventually started to run low and she ended up exiled from the pack and forced to find hunting grounds elsewhere. Cicufel wandered alone for a time, ending up in the territories of other packs at random and fleeing at the slightest hint of other dragons. She is quite used to be referred to as “Tradu’r” or “Fen’zi”.

He is not nearly as collected as Kyrell but tries his best to be so. He is however extremely intelligent and will make sure you know of it. Pride has a tendency to boil up in him and he can act very rashly at times, thinking he knows best. Deeply powerful emotions surge through him at any given moment and he has learned to only reveal those to those closest to him (for now only Kyrell)

Bio/History: Once mature dragons only breed once every so many centuries. It is rare for the clutches to be larger than five, maybe six eggs. It is even rarer for one of those eggs to produce twins. Only one egg was laid to the clutch that brought Sorin and Kyrell into the world. It is said that Sorin and Kyrell are one soul within two bodies; Opposites in personality, color, and element, nonetheless their bond runs deeper than blood. Sorin was born with albinism; A direct opposite to Kyrell’s melanistic tones, and in many ways that foreshadowed their whole development.
