Flight for Freedom

The Plot
[/div][div class=stoneContent]Deep in the forests of Ocalla, a prosperous kingdom, lay secrets untold to
the humans who live over the wall.

Deep in those forests, mythical creatures thrive. Few humans know of these, and those who do often go missing soon after, lost to the forests of old.
The wall protects the kingdom from the forest, known only as the Perditta, translated to mean 'lost', due to the many who have tried to explore it and
have never returned home. Thus, the Perditta is out of bounds to the
humans, unless they wish to disappear also.

The myths and legends that do live in the Perditta exist in peace and
harmony with each other. Every manner of beast thrives there, from
unicorns to griffins. And they are happy for it. A war has not happened for many a year, and peace reigns supreme.

One of these myths happens to be Dragon-Shifters. Beautiful beings, who
are beast at one moment, human at the next.

Now, one specific group of these shifters, a pack named the Astra, are even more powerful. They have abilities like none other, controlling wind, fire,
ir, water, or whatever their power commands. Some can disappear into the shadows like they were never there, whilst others may poison with a single touch. Thus is the way of the Astra.

And this pack lives in harmony also. Whilst their powers could be used for
bad, they restrain themselves, keeping to their own kind and living deep in
the Perditta, rarely bothered by others.

But recently, a new pack has settled, just outside the Astra's territory. The Draven. These to, are like the Astra in powers. However, they do not share
the Astra's peaceful nature, and their Alpha wants the Astra's territory for themselves.

Tensions are high.

Will war break out?

Conditions:
Weather is dry and warm. However, a storm appears to be brewing on the far horizon
Time is morning, when pack members should be getting up

Artemis Lunala - Alpha - Astra Pack
Settled at the kitchen table in her human form, Artemis was contently drinking a glass of water, reading a book. She wasn't entirely feeling herself, knowing the storm was on the horizon before she'd even looked out the window. She utterly hated when she lost control, when the need to fly into the storm was so great that she'd hurt people to get to it. Like... Like she'd killed little Levi. It was two years ago now, but it still felt fresh to the Alpha, who preferred now to focus on her packs wellbeing instead of her own. Speaking of, there wasn't that much food in their stores. She'd have to send a few dragons out to hunt later, so they could feed the pack.

No one else seemed to be up. But then... Astra castle was large, and it was entirely possible she'd missed someone. After all, she hadn't even gone to bed last night, feeling the soft electricity under her skin, warning her of the future storm. She'd have to get her Beta, Raybahn, to lock her down in the dungeons tonight. She refused to have to hurt someone. The way it tingled across her shoulders warned her that it would be a big storm as well, so perhaps she'd ask him to also use their chains. Just in case

Astaroth 'Ash' Smallclaw - Omega - Astra Pack
As one of the two Omega's of the pack, Ash was tasked with looking after the hatchlings, alongside her fellow Omega Kestin. She, herself, was new to this role, but they all slept in the same room, so it wasn't a problem, since she'd slept in there when she herself was a hatchling. The room was large, and was basically just a large nest upon the floor, made of a very large bed mattress on one side, covered in blankets and pillows. It was saying something when it was the right size for them all to curl in their dragon forms, as she was now.

Which was currently what she was doing. Having fallen asleep curled around the smaller hatchlings, Shadowflower and Nyx, and beside the older hatchling Juniper, as well as Kestin, she was quite content, whether they’d moved or not since she’d fallen asleep. Her powers of ice often made her cold, and she was always happy to curl against the others, who were warmer. It wasn't perhaps the healthiest thing for her, but it was nice, and they'd all just move away if they wished to.

Astiel Stormchaser - Warrior - Astra Pack
Currently very much wide awake, and wandering around the castle outside in his dragon form, Astiel had been up since the crack of dawn. Which was... an hour or so ago. His mechanical leg had been bothering him since he'd woken, after a nightmare about the night he'd lost it. Which was why he'd gone on a walk, despite the aching of said mechanical appendage. Because he knew he couldn’t go back to sleep, and it would help him to know that the Castle was safe.

Mentioned : No one .

Leviathan ‘Levi’ Lunala - Hatchling - Draven
As hyper as he always is, Levi was excitedly running through the halls of the castle in his Wyvern form. Due to his power of super speed, he simply seemed to be a blur of colour streaming through the hallways, a danger to anyone in his way since he wasn’t good at stopping. Which was further proven when he turned a corner too late, and went too wide, slamming straight into the wall and dazing himself.

He sat there, whining about the ache now flourishing down his side. He’d ran into so many walls this morning alone. He was practicing, trying to better his stopping capabilities. Which... wasn’t really working. But he wanted to make the Alphas proud of him!

Mentioned: No one

Tawny - Omega - Draven Pack
Frankly, Tawny was terrified. She’d lost Levi. He’d been here a moment ago, under her care as the little orphan should have been, but the little blur had been gone before she could bat an eyelid. Which was... the issue with his powers. So, currently, she was wandering the halls in human form, the meek Omega calling for him. She didnt want to get caught without the hatchling she was meant to be caring for, it could mean a big punishment for her. Tritt, she supposed, was probably with his parents, but since Levi had none, the care of him rested on her shoulders, until he was ready to be a Warrior.

But she could get seriously hurt out here, looking for him. She was the Omega, the punching bag of a terrible pack, and she disliked being out of her room. She was often ordered out of it anyway, but others were less likely to pick on her if she was hidden away.

Mentioned : No one

Styx Kagren - Beta - Draven Pack
Curled up in his bed, the Beta didn’t really have a care in the world whether he should be awake or not. He’d had a late night, and didn’t care to wake up at the crack of dawn as he should. If someone needed him, they would fetch him. If it was the Alpha, perhaps they wouldn’t mind. He was their Beta after all, not a lowly Omega, and he always did as he was told.

Shadowflower sneezed, sleeping next of cold ice dragon, wasn't heathly to her and even if she would have been wake when Ash moved near her, she was too young to move. As coldness started to bother her more, she started to cry.

Black-Loner-Forest

Black sniffed to air, there was thunder storm coming on. No way he would be leaving his sleeping area at storm. Good thing he had hunted yesterday enough so he woudn't need hunt today.

Although being next to an ice wielding dragon was not best thing for the albino fire dragon.
Nyx was able to keep herself from being too uncomfortable and remaining
asleep. Hearing one of her acquaintances begin to cry, the smaller Hatchling
curled herself into a tighter ball, increasing her body temperature by a
few degrees. Thus, allowing her to warm the others as well.

Juniper - Hatchling - Astra

Juniper shifted slightly at the heat radiating off of Nyx. The older
Hatchling never liked heat, and preferred to be in the dim, foggy parts
of the forest. Where it temperature was balanced just right. She opened her eyes, blinking a
few times before focusing on Ash.

Al put his book down as he noticed a familiar chill run down his spine. He looked outside his small window at the brewing storm. It was oddly quite outside his room; no pitter patter of young feet; no petty arguments outside. Strange. He yawned and got up, wincing as his joints popped and locked. He had been reading for a while it seems. He tossed his book over onto one of the small mountains of tombs in his small room. It fell into place between two others. Al smiled at that. Opening the door and grabbing his walking stick, he decided he was in the mood to bother someone.

  • Kyragosa

Kyra rose from her bedding and stretched her human limbs. As was her usual routine, she wrapped herself in white and icy blue cloaks, weaving leather boots and gloves onto her feet and hands, before she took hold of her scepter that rested by the door to her quarters. Effortlessly, she waltzed through the door and made her way through the Healing Chamber. She had a rather unorthodox way of mending wounds, most would say, though they were effective regardless and she was proud of her work. Right now she had no one in her ward, which was a good thing. Kyragosa always enjoyed roaming about the castle and its borders.

A cold breeze wove through the halls and it brought a bit of excitement the frost dragon. Upon the first opportunity that she found, she gazed out the window to see storm clouds bubbling on the horizon. For a moment, Kyragosa thought of her new alpha. She new well that Artemis had an affinity for storms, and a few people had even been brought to Kyra's infirmiry from a related accident. Luckily there had been nothing lethal in those incidents as long as Kyra had been the pack's healer, but the risk was always still present. I wonder if she will have herself locked up like last time. Kyragosa shook her head and made her way to the patio that overlooked the foremost gate to the Astra castle.

Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi - Omega - Astra
WolfOfProphecys WolfOfProphecys

Al yawned, finding the deafening silence of the castle rather odd. It was a huge castle, but it felt like he had been walking for hours. The place felt awfully lonely that day, nothing he wasn't used to. Being alone occupied a large portion of his time in his youth. Traveling from country to country came with several hours alone with seldom cheerful thoughts. He hated it. If there was one thing Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi wasn't it was a loner. The man simply liked being around people, understanding them, making them laugh, cheering them up if they were down. Being good with people was how he managed to join the Astra pack a year ago. He was somewhat surprised they let him in, especially considering his omega rendering birth defect.

There were other omegas in the castle. Al worried for the omegas. Sometimes he wondered if they would live as long as him. Both of them were rather young and he never met an omega as old as himself anywhere in his long travels. Sometimes he wondered if their days were numbered. Would he have to attend the funeral of an omega child one day? Al brushed off the thought, deciding he needed to speak with someone more that he thought. Eventually he made his way to the kitchen, finding Artemis lost in deep thought. "Greetings, friend." he began noticing her book. He didn't recognize the title. "You seem lost."

The morning light shone brightly between the canape of the forest, it's unforgiving rays of light hitting the sleeping male gently on the top of his head. The irritating light forced him to open his eyes, a harsh hissing noise escaping his lips as he turned away. While the sun wasn't enough to damage his eyes, it was extremely hard to see when any form of light caught them.

Hunter shook his head wildly, waking himself up even more as he stood from his bed. Well, the tree branch that he was perched on for the night. "What a horrible morning light." he groggily spoke to himself, his stomach rumbling slightly as he stretched his limbs. Dry blood coated the front of his clothing from hunting, the blue being stained with a darker red.

The hunter pulled a hood over his head to block out the sun's rays, effortlessly beginning to move from one tree branch to the other. He's had a lot of years to practice, that's for sure.

"I'm hungry. Time for a hunt.."

  • Raubahn
The midnight chill of the air was nowhere to be felt around the castle forge located on the second level. If it had been there at all during the night, Raubahn never felt it. When he had finally got to get some sleep, it was late and the forge was still burning bright enough to melt steel. He awoke several times during the night to work the bellows to keep the forge hot, he would need it first thing when he was ready to get started. Which came earlier than the sun itself as Raubahn stirred himself in the darkness of his room and headed back out into the forge. The coals were still glowing red, and as he stamped on the below he watched them grow brighter and brighter once again. Smiling to himself, he pulled what looked to be a long bar of black metal out of a barrel of sticky black liquid and shoved it into the hole on the side of the forge that was beginning to glow brightly.
After that, Raubahn glanced over at the far wall of his forge. The forge itself was open to the elements to let in fresh air, but the load bearing wall of the roof held a large selection of racks and projects that Raubahn was either working on, or had forgotten. But his attention was focused on a small circular device that had a small arrow on it. It was pointing to a section of the circle that contained a large grey blob with what appeared to be lightning protruding out of it. Raubahn grunted to himself and the glanced up towards the higher walls of Astra Castle. He would need to go visit his alpha soon and see what her plan was for the evening.
He gave the bellows one last good pumping and then shrugged off the thick leather apron he had been wearing. Tossing it over a nail on the wall, Raubahn ducked under the beam for his roof, and began heading for the interior of the castle. He new the way like the back of his hand, he had lived here all his life after all. Snaking his way around corners and within halls, Raubahn finally found what he was looking for after one of the castle gaurds pointed him towards one of the grand kitchens. He gave the door frame a rap with his callused knuckles, and leaned on the frame of the door as he peered over to where Artemis sat enjoying her breakfast. Al had joined her in the kitchen as well. He was not as well aquianted with the much older dragon, but as with all of the Astra clan, Raubahn was friendly to him.
"Al, Artemis. Mornin. Everyone sleep well last night?"

Al spared a glance at the new comer. He had bumped into the brawny shifter once in his year long stay in the castle. He happened by him only once while he was finding his way around the castle. The youngin' had been hard at work. Al remembered an artisan's flare in his eyes as he slammed a mighty hammer against the worthy iron. He seemed amicable enough, but Al didn't know what to make of him. He found it odd how the youngin' didn't seem to bother with a sudden newcomer ambling about in the castle. A very welcome change of pace mind you, but odd nonetheless. It didn't help that Al didn't know his name but the youngin bothered to remember Al's name regardless of using the short moniker. People in this clan seemed to be rather friendly with Omegas like himself. It almost tempted him to stay permanently.

Almost.

"I don't get much sleep at my age, dost. I was just looking to bother someone before I came across milady Alpha." He chuckled like a mischievous child

Kestin Evergreene-Omega-Astra

Kestin blinked open his blue eyes when he felt movement, his gaze looking at shifting hatchlings. When he saw one of them raise their head, a small smile touched the young man's lips. "Good morning, Juniper," he greeted before pushing himself to a stand and stepping off the large bed. He yawned and looked around the room before spotting the brewing storm from the window. Kestin frowned and shook his head, looking away from the window. He's always hated storms, he didn't want to deal with one today...

"What time is it?" Kestin asked Juniper, glancing over at her as he blinked the sleep from his eyes. It didn't feel too early, why was everyone still asleep? He was half tempted to drag those hatchlings out of bed.

Slade Kresney-Alpha Male-Draven

Currently, the alpha male was perched on the balcony of the castle, his grey eyes staring out into the forest, watching the sky. His head was held high as the drake watched the dark clouds. He scoffed and pushed himself to a stand, "come Tritt. We have work to do," he growled, walking past his son and into the castle. As part of being an alpha, one of the many things he had to do was make his rounds in the morning. Make sure the pack was doing fine, make sure everyone was safe.

"Father, can't I go play with Levi and Tawny?" Tritt's small voice asked, making the alpha come to an abrupt stop. Looking at his son, Slade narrowed his eyes. "Firsty. You do not play. You are my son, you will train. You must learn as a hatchling. If you wish to be a beta at 14 years old, you will do as your told. Secondly. You will not confabulate with an omega. Do I make myself clear, boy?" Slade asked, his voice dripping with authority.

"You will cover the west wing of the castle. Make sure everyone is awake and doing okay. If you find anything out of the ordinary, come find me. I expect you to do a fine job," Slade said, turning and walking toward the east wing.

Tritt Kresney-Hatchling-Draven

Tritt came to a stop, looking up at his father as he listened to him. "But..." he averted his gaze, his tail dropping between his legs. "Yes Sir, I understand," Tritt responded softly. He knew his father hated when he went to hang out with Tawny. It was only because she was an omega. When they were younger, his father could care less. Now. With the rank differences. He would only disappoint his father by hanging out with her.

Looking up at his father, the young hatchling listened to his orders and nodded, looking toward the west wing. He knew how it worked. Make sure everyone was doing their job, make sure everything is running smoothly. Tritt bounded off to the west wing, looking around as he took in his surroundings. "You don't play. You don't confabulate with an omega. You will train," Tritt muttered mockingly, growling to himself as he sniffed the ground where he walked. He hated his fathers strict rules, he was never allowed to do anything he wished.

Suddenly Tritt walked straight into someone, crying out as he quickly stepped back. Raising his head, his eyes widened as a smile touched his lips. "Tawny!" he grinned and pounced on the older female, giggling as he pinned her down. "What're you doing? Where's Levi?" he asked with a wild grin on his face, looking around. Surely he was here somewhere, it was Tawny's job to watch the kid.

Tyranus/Tyrann
Tyranus had just woken up from a dream about deer. A field of deer as far as the eye could see. All of these deer were all his to take. Now that he was awake, his dear old friend REALITY had come to visit. Tyranus woke up and crawled out of his den. It had been raining. A thin layer of rainwater could be found on almost everything in his territory. Tyranus had won this territory from a drake in a dominance battle. The drake had been the Alpha of this area for years. The young Tyranus used every trick he had learned to survive and devour the Drake. Cannabalising other dragons had become rather common for dragons not belonging to a pack like Tyranus. Spreading his wings, he took flight and looked for his breakfast. In the Spire, which was a forest filled with nasty and deadly beasts, you couldn't be picky with your prey. Spotting a doe drinking from a stream, Tyranus descended. He collided with another dragon attempting to feed. It was a young Eastern Dragon. It had probably tried to hunt on its own. Tyranus bit into its shoulder and dropped a tree near it. The youngling soon ran back to its mother. The doe was killed and eaten. Tyranus returned to his den, it looked like it was going to rain...again

Artemis Lunala - Alpha - Astra Pack

Not entirely focused on the book she was meant to be reading, on storms, the Alpha heard Al's footsteps before he walked in. She looked up at him, sighing softly, "There's a storm coming Al," She muttered, "Which means I'll be a danger when it hits. I... It feels like it'll be a big one." She huffed. She didn't like the fact that she was such a danger to her pack whenever the weather turned to storms, but she couldn't help it. She just couldn't hold back the urge to get to the storm in any manner possible. Sipping at her water, she was unsurprised when her Beta walked in soon after. He always knew when a storm was coming, and it was nice to see him away from that forge of his.

"Good morning Raubahn." She returned, utterly ignoring the question on how she'd slept. Mostly because she hadn't, and the storm had been bothering her all night. She doubted she'd get any sleep tonight either, locked in the dungeons as she'd be. She trusted that Raubahn would make sure she didn't hurt anyone though, "How are you both?" She asked instead, to deviate from the fact that she hadn't entirely answered.

Astaroth 'Ash' Smallclaw - Omega - Astra Pack

Hearing Shadowflower start to cry was enough to wake the lightly sleeping young Omega, whose eyes snapped open like she'd been slapped. She was meant to help care for the hatchlings, not freeze them! At least little Nyx could warm herself up, and she nudged the two together lightly, so they could be warm, before she shuffled herself away from the others, curling into a small ball. She was clearly making the other's cold, so it would be best if she stayed away. Peering at the softly talking Kestin, as he spoke to Juniper, she curled up tighter.

Leviathan 'Levi' Lunala - Hatchling - Draven Pack

Squeaking softly when he heard a sudden voice, Levi turned to recognise Lucas, who was definitely angry. He shuffled back, stumbling a little at the ache on his side from hitting the wall, and lowered his head, "S-Sorry Lucas! I'm trying to practice stopping, but the walls keep getting in the way, and corners aren't big enough!" He returned, hoping his excuse was enough for the poison wielding dragon. The hatchling hadn't meant to wake anyone, "Please don't tell anyone! I-I'm meant to be with Tawny..." He grumbled. The Omega was fun to practice hunting on, but she was useless in helping him with his running. She couldn't keep up.

Mentioned: zCrookedz

Tawny - Omega - Draven Pack

Walking into someone, Tawny immediately cowered back, expecting a punishment for not looking where she was going, and then also for not knowing where the hatchling was. Of course, then she realised who it was, just as Tritt pounced on her, her small human form pinned beneath his. She calmed when she saw who it was, because she liked Tritt, they had been friends before she'd become an official Omega, "Tritt!" She returned, thankful it wasn't his father. At the reminder of Levi, she quietened, "I...I've lost him! He... He's so fast and.... and I'm slow and he just.... and I don't know where he is!"

The healer of the pack held onto her scepter tightly, her skin crystalizing under her concentration. Once she had turned herself totally into a living crystal, she leaped from the gate's balcony, landing solidly upon the ground. After making contact, the ice around her thawed quickly and her regular human form became flesh-bound once more. She took a moment to catch her breath, as doing that in her human form was far more taxing than usual. Next time, Kyra... just use the stairs...

Kyragosa began walking beyond the castle's sanctuary, her scepter softly gripped within her palm. Her eyes seemed to be focused on memorizing the forms of the environment around her. Dragon tracks were everywhere, though that was to be expected around a dragon-castle. She didn't want to stay out too long, as she wanted to be home well in time for the coming storm.

  • Raubahn
Pushing himself from the door frame, Raubahn made his way into the kitchen towards where Artemis and Al were sitting. He noted the avoidance of his question from Artemis, its meaning was all to clear. The storm was making her anxious, and she probably wouldn't sleep well again until after it had past. Al however retorted to him, and Raubahn smiled as he to found a seat and reached for a piece of fruit from the bowl on the table.
"Ah. A fellow candle burner. I feel ya there."
Raubahn had come to talk to Artemis about preparations for tonight, but the increasing number of dragons joining for the morning meal made this an unsuitable time to discuss such things. So Raubahn simply bit into his fruit and smiled when Artemis asked how they were.
"Can't complain this morning. Got a project working in the forge that could be promising. Some new metals I picked up from the mountains last week."
Raubahn smiled and glanced around the eating area. There was a distinct lack of meat, both within sight and smell within the kitchen. Raubahn had noticed only a few day prior, and now it was even more obvious. He took another large bite out of his fruit and then swallowed before addressing Artemis again.
"Seems like we need to send out a hunting party before the storm gets here. Preferably as soon as possible before the weather send all the game into hiding."
Raubahn's name suddenly called out to him and he turned to find Rashgarroth entering the room. His metal plating clinking as he walked, Raubahn always had to keep himself from becoming to fixated ont he beautiful armor the warrior always wore. He nodded pleseantly and gestured to Artemis across from him.
"This would be her right here. Artemis, this is Rashgarroth. From the mountains. Rash, this is Artemis, our alpha."

Location: Healer's medical room
Action: Healing a Omega and preparing small medical brews
Interacting: N/A

Behind closed doors of a designated large room specifically for any and all procedures for healing or medical needs, the two healers of the Draven castle we're busy brewing antidotes made from Nulflowers, stone berries and fireblossoms; a mixture of ingredients that would stop the spread of poison in blood streams and heal the inflicted in a few hours. There was a rise of Drooling snakes in the area because of the humid weather that has been coming and such these creatures venture in the rain and hunt. There bites have proven to be quite poisonous but none lethal as far some cases have gone with. A omega laid on a wooden bed from the many that were rows of in the room, as he was poison from one of these common snakes. Valka slowly crush the harden stone berry and squeezed the nectar from a nulflower while Volkor slowly picked one leaf at a time of the fireblossom as once all was ready, water and good mixing. "George be careful next time, its a rather humid day so these reptiles come rather commonly, give it a few hours and you will be fine" The man was given to drink the concoction, sour and spicy and not the best taste but it did its work. The older sister sigh as she open a cabinet on the far side of the room, retrieving a small glass diamond shape vile holding some odd green substance that floated freely inside. "Stay calm, deep breaths, and all will be quick", Valka walked close as she open the vile, letting two drops fall from the vile as they just suspended in mid air slowly vanishing "This will accelerate the processes, Brother you begin hurry" with a nod from Volkor they began.

The two drops vanish as they transmitted in to the youngest of the two, his palms grew a dim green as he preformed a pushing movement towards his sister who has both hands placed on the mans chest. Through her vain the dim glow traveled from her shoulders, down her arm and hand as they faded away. "Done, don't get bit next time ya hear?" The omega got up with a thanks and exited the room, both siblings looking at a ha'f empty vile of this "Life". There were more stored away but doing such a process and filling ONE vile takes unimaginably long with lesser beings and such seeing this half empty vile was dim in supplies. "Well seems we have to go get some animals and fill at least this one its missing half and one other right?" Volkor asked as he got up with the vile and placed it inside a cabinet as his sister sigh and shook her head "No, with all that is happening leaving our post for a few hours is not a good idea, maybe some one could bring".

Valka sat down on a wooden chair near the bed where the omega as while rubbing her temple, the serious woman felt this was going to be a long day and now more work was needed to fill these vile for safe keeping for any medical need. "True true....maybe...i think its best you take a bit of rest aight? i will take care of-" Being interrupted the sister spoke angrily "Stop it seriously, its fine just...make sure we get some antidotes ready for any other case" and so this as there day, tired and busy and now with few empty vile meaning afterwards they needed to capture some animals alive for..."siphoning"

Al's smile fell at what Artemis said. He could relate to the Alpha youngin'. There were several instances where he was close to losing his mind, times where he was certain he would become a threat to Ocalla, maybe even the world. But to his relief and dismay he would find himself sane hours, sometimes days later with a path of destruction in his wake. Artemis was still young. Whatever damage she had caused up till this point was paltry compared to her later years. Her pain was inevitable if her disposition was anything like Al's. "I may know a thing or two about being a danger to people, beti" The elderly Omega mused aloud with a melancholic smile. "You are a kind one, I can tell. And everyone seems to be aware of that." He gestures over to Raubahn. "They will forgive you for the worst of it. Don't be like me and spend your youth worrying about what damage you might do. Despite what you think, the worst of it tends to be not as bad your greatest fear. You will forgive yourself in due time."

Al half lied about the last part, but he figured she needed to hear it. Turning to the newcomer, his smile changed to a welcoming one. "Salaam, dost. It seems the castle is beginning to livened up, finally."

Artemis Lunala - Alpha - Astra Pack - Human Form
Giving Al a small smile, she didn't respond. She didn't think she'd ever forgive herself for the worst of it. Killing her own son. She couldn't forget about that. Not that Al would know about it. He hadn't been here when Levi had been alive, and she refused to speak of it herself. So... He couldn't know. In fact, she hadn't actually spoken about the incident with anyone except Raubahn, her Beta. He'd been the one to tell the pack that Levi was dead, but she had no idea still if he'd told them it was her. She hoped he hadn't, because she felt bad enough without knowing that her whole pack knew.

Lifting her head as a new voice came, she was on her feet in moments. She was jumpy today, and an unknown voice automatically screamed intruder, until Raubahn explained who it was. Ah. Rashgarroth. The dragon that Raubahn had met and told her of. Giving a pleased, welcoming smile, she stepped up to the bigger man, "Of course. It's nice to meet you Rashgarroth. I apologise for not having been able to meet you before." She told him politely, as she greeted all newcomers.

Much to his surprise, Astiel startled when he spotted someone nearby. The mechanical legged dragon growled, pausing for a moment to check who it was. Oh. Kyragosa. Not an enemy then. Stars above, he needed sleep. The dragon made his way slowly toward her, rumbling a warm greeting as he stretched his wings out slightly, the mechanics that had fixed them whirring in the effort of following his commands.

"Kyragosa! What are you doing out here? I... I didn't think anyone was awake." He told her, tilting his head innocently.

Leviathan 'Levi' Lunala - Hatchling - Draven Pack - Dragon Form
Watching Lucas, the young hatchling's eyes widened in pure fear as he watched the other crouch in front of him and speak. Was... Was Lucas going to eat him? Whimpering in terror, the hatchling turned tail and ran for it. Unfortunately, he didn't think properly about his direction before he pushed at his powers, and simply ran headfirst into the wall again. He really did need to start thinking before he started running, because now his head hurt and matched his side, and Lucas was going to eat him!

  • Kyragosa

Kyragosa perked up at the sound of her name. Seeing Astiel, she made her way over to the dragon, twirling her scepter. "I could ask you same! The castle's waking up. How long have you been out here?" The frosty lady opted to maintain her human form while talking to Astiel. Something about the day, she was enjoying her relative smallness. Kyra also couldn't help but notice the subtle mechanical sounds that accompanied Astiel. Oddly enough they seemed to give Astiel a lot of character, as least in Kyra's eyes.

Slowly, the warrior lowered his head to be at her height. He wasn't too tall, really, so he didn't have to sip his head too far. Tucking his wings back to his sides, with the same soft whirring and a slight ache, he shuffled his weight onto his good legs. "Um.... since dawn?" He returned, peering up at the sky. The sun was rising still, but it was probably about an hour or two that he'd been awake, "I couldn't sleep. You?" He returned. The castle was waking up, according to Kyragosa, but he had no wish to go inside. The chill of the air out here helped to sooth his mechanics, even if only a little. Not that he'd complain. Especially not to Kyragosa, the healer. She had, after all, helped him when he'd been found two years ago. She knew his issues, at least the physical ones.

Giving the newcomer a kind smile, even if she still seemed a little tense, Artemis nodded slightly. Of course he could help, if he was certainly that bored. There were things that needed doing around here after all, "There needs to be a hunt arranged, to feed the pack." She returned, "But the pack will also need to be guarded tonight, when I'm... unable." Guarded. Guarded not from the outside, but from her. She glanced at her Beta, knowing that he knew what she meant, and that she needed to speak to him later about it, "Otherwise, you are free to do as you please here, Rashgarroth." She nodded, smiling.

Al could notice the hurt in the Alpha's eye's. Pestering her further over the matters was not his place. Still, he had a good idea of what her story was. Of course he figured but didn't want to assume. People were rather open about there weaknesses in this pack. Al liked that. It made them more understanding. The kitchen was beginning to crowd up, and he could tell some rather important dialogue was about to commence. He didn't want to interrupt. "Thank you for considering my counsel, milady Alpha." He chuckled. "Even if it is coming from a shriveled up buffoon." As he left the room, Al resolved to stay in the castle a little longer to see if there was a way to help this youngin'. The world could wait for him. He was old. Al chuckled at the thought. 'Stop laughing at your own jokes al-Khwarizmi'.

Ambling his way around the castle, Al eventually found himself passing the room where the hatchlings slept. He liked children, even if they loved tugging his beard. Something about them just had an positive affect on his mood. He could never put his finger on why. Seriously though, he preferred if they kept off the beard. The door didn't creek open, to which he was grateful for. They were beginning to stir awake it seems. Al decided he wanted to be the first to greet them once they were out of bed. "Is that an odd thing to do?" He stroked his prized beard. "Nope."

Hunter leaped from branch to branch in human form, his claws digging into the wooden surface. Soon, he crouched on one of the branches, his eyes focusing in as the rest of his vision turned black and white. Fresh footsteps were highlighted on the ground in yellow, leading him on the track to his first kill of the day. Hunter stalked the deer through the woods, awaiting the right moment to actually strike. Deer were fast if spooked, so he settled down in the tree for a while. Soon after, the deer put it's head down to eat the grass on the floor. "I got you now.." he'd mumble to himself.

Sneaking to the branch just above the deer eating grass, he hung upside down, before letting go and dropping on the prey. As Hunter found himself on top of the animal, it attempted to escape. He, however, didn't let it get away, instead sinking his sharp teeth into it's neck, causing blood to ooze out of it, whilst his claws stabbed into either side of it's head.

Hunter watched as the animal dropped to the floor, his teeth un-clenching and lowering the head of the deer. "Sorry about that mate, but that's the circle of life." Hunter would speak aloud, tying it up and shifting to dragon form.

His bones stretched into gigantic size, as well as his body did, a large and intimidating tail sprouting from his backside, swishing from side to side as the rest of his body grew to the right areas. He grew scales, a dragon shaped head, body and limbs, along with big talons and a huge bite force.

The dragon took it's food into his mouth and proceeded to carry the meat back to his sleeping area, resting it down. He almost had enough food to last the entire storm that was on it's way.
