So, what's everyone's thoughts on sending out a few people to act as scouts and pathfinders? To find better ground to settle on, or néw hunting/gathering grounds, etc etc.

Agreed, I do hope we have a decent handful of people then.honestly depends on the size of the group we end up with. No point in splitting up a party of 5 or less, but 3 man teams and up might work.
He speaks the truth. Keep in mind, however, that this is women and children included. Most of these people are simple hunters & gatherers, with a few specialized people here and there. Gurgle, for example, has a following that takes care exclusively of religious stuff, working on rituals, sacrifices, and daily prayer.40 people in the tribe, npcs included.
Spoken like a true weaklingMnn, I happen to think beast rearing and farming are a very great way for a tribe to get food and even additional protection.

We could honestly use a chief gatherer or something akin to that. Or any crafting specialists, really. As far as I know we don't have any. So if nobody makes one, I'll swap something crafty out for the storyteller and relegate fireside storytelling/teaching to Gogmagug.I need to brainstorm for my npc
meanwhile I like the thought of the fleshscape consciously fighting against us, maybe even being the "final boss"

Silence, firebearer. Your muscle is on par with Gurgle'sLulz. The entire tribe is probably gonna step over Prizzy's malnourished jelly-like bones on their way to a brighter tomorrow.
Maybe, I have no idea if Hunting and Gathering are both separate. But if they are, chief gatherer is a very necessary position to fill. Aside from that, a chief Pathfinder/Scout, a Lookout, and probably a Tanner/Leatherworker.Sooo, Healer, Priest, Taskmaster, Executioner, Hunter, Fighter, Sage, and... I guess we could use a craftsman? Gathering may already be part of the hunter's work.
Well, hunter/gatherer is a pretty generic term and it makes sense that the person hunting is out, about, and gathering things as well. If someone wants to make a gatherer go for it, but there'd prolly be a lot of 1x1 with those two roles. A scout could be good, but that's also a pretty hunter-y role as well. Craftsman of some kind would be great, maybe a cook too.Maybe, I have no idea if Hunting and Gathering are both separate. But if they are, chief gatherer is a very necessary position to fill. That's something I'm really interested in as well. I'm super curious about what secrets and horrors lie below the Fleshscape.Well, hunter/gatherer is a pretty generic term and it makes sense that the person hunting is out, about, and gathering things as well. Then again, it'd be really cool to have a scout person who actually scouted out underground a little bit as well.
