It was mid-winter and yet the air stayed hot and humid as lake wylavia was located on a decent sized continent that hailed south. The nights weren't really cool, but they did have a certain charm about them. On a cloudless night the sky showed everything and more, the distant stars shining brightly as the moon hung right in the middle of it all. Unfortunately it wasn't night time and the sun rained down hot rays of sunshine. The tropical setting that encased the lake was fully of many different animals, their calls echoing all over the area. Everything seemed peaceful as a sudden ripple close to the waters edge began to form, a blury form could be seen going back and forth underneath the water. It was strange, cause it almost looked like a woman, but that couldn't be right, could it?

She rested for a few minutes before sitting up and adjusting her dress so she could stand. As she did she spotted the outline of a person's body a bit of a distance away from her tanning spot. She gasped and ran over quickly, looking around for anyone else. Once she got close enough to the blurry form she started entering the water, "Hello? Are you a person? Are you dead?"
 
Hydra was swimming about as she was collecting a unique colored algae at the waters surface to make medicine for her mother out of. It only grew during winter and she was collecting as much as possible before the season ended. Flipping her fin about she saw a shadow from above the water, swimming back into deeper water she looked closer and than heard a small voice calling out to the water. Tilting her head she glared at the shadow and very quickly she flipped her tail up out of the water and splashed the figure.

She blinked a couple times as if processing what just happened. "Oh you're a fishy person!" She giggled. [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s [/COLOR][/SIZE]jumped in the water, diving after whatever had splashed at her. When she got a clearer look her eyes widened, "Wooooow you're like all pretty and sparkly!" She smiled with uncontrollable excitement. She clung onto Hydra's lower body, giggling as she wrapped her arms and legs around the mermaid.
 
Usually Hydra's splashing scared off people, them usuqlly thinking she was some terrifying giant fish. What startled her was the fact it was a child. Staring at her for a moment, she soon panicked as the girl dove into the water.  She went to swim away, but the small child grabbed onto her fin. She screamed and began to push the little girl off as she hissed. "Remove yourself foul creature!!" She swam in circles as she flapped her tail viciously to get the child off.
 
She held on, having a blast. After a while though she was finally flung away. Almost one second after the impact, a fiery explosion shook the water and lake. She always enjoyed causing explosions after any sort of impact. It just added a great deal of humor to the situation. [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s[/COLOR][/SIZE] gently swam through the water, looking for the pretty mermaid again. "Heyyy! Mermaid girl! Where are you? Sorry for grabbing your tail fin thingy!" She looked around. Deciding to takes things slow, [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s[/COLOR][/SIZE] remained in place and took note of her underwater surroundings.
 
Once free Hydra swam away quite fast, she wasn't used to this much interaction with humans, but this child only looked like a human, it was easy enough to tell she wasn't normal. Peering back over her shoulder though she saw the explosion and gasped as the blasts wave hit her, sending her twirling about. Holding her head and sighing she heard the little girl calling out to her. Raising a brow she could see the child in the distance, but she didn't really wanna deal with a strange person like that again. So she dove down deeper into the water, heading to the underwater cave system, so she could go make the medicine that her mother so desperately needed. "Such an odd creature that girl is.."

Once she got to the surface she climbed out and wrung out her dress a little. "Imma get that fish." She nodded. She walked over to a rock and sat on it, pulling a loaf of french bread out from under her dress. The loaf was almost half her size so she began tearing chunks off of it. "Fish like bread... Maybe I'll use bread. Or skittles! Yeah that'll lure her out." She began stuffing her face as she came up with more ideas. [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s[/COLOR][/SIZE] started painting the ground in front of her with random colors. Rainbow paints leaving her hand as she ran it against the ground.
 
Hydra swam through the tunnels, making lefts and rights and turning all over the place until she came into what seemed to be an under ground lake. There resting in a dark corner on a grooved edge of the wall was her sickly mother. Swimming to her she smiled and went to gather other plants and mix it with the algae she had just collected. Frowning she wrapped the ingredients in kelp and swam back to her mother that was barely staying conscious. "M..mother please eat this, it'll make you feel better."Her mother barely looked at her as her eyes were glazed over in gray, she knew her mother was dying, but she clinged to hope. She had lost her brothers already and couldn't stand losing her mother. Trying to make her mother eat,  she knew she couldn't do it on her own. Instead Hydra took bites and chewed it up and fed her mouth to mouth. About 15 minutes had gone by after feeding her mother and there was still no response from her. Biting her lip, she began to tremble holding herself. It was thanshe remebered the strange child that attacked her, she was different and maybe she could save her mother. Swimming as fast as she could she made it to the surface of the water and started to scan the shore line.

She shouted. [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s[/COLOR][/SIZE] pulled out a baguette and began swinging it around, hitting the wolves with it. "Noooooo!" She complained. Within seconds she finally fought off three of them, leaving two left. Using the baguette she kept both of them back before lunging and suplexing one of them into the other "Biiiiiiiiiiiitch!" She laughed and cheered as she got up and fixed her dress, picking up the bread. The two ran off as she stuck her tongue out at them. "I don't want it anymore!" She smiled, dropping it. Hydra's eye twitched not even believing what she had just seen. This child was indeed not normal, but she had to look past that. She dove back down under the water and swam towards the shore where she was closest. When she reached shallow water she stopped and popped out of the water. "Hey...hey!! Child come here!" She waved her arms around as she gestured her to come close.

The world seemed to almost stop it was so quiet. After a while she chucked her stuffed animal at Hydra's face, acing the shot. The bunny squeaked as it pelted the fish girl's face and fell onto the ground. She pulled out another bunny from under her dress and held it. After another loooong quiet blank stare she threw the second bunny, acing it one more time, the bunny squeaking as it hit it's target and fell beside the last one. Finally [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s[/COLOR][/SIZE] walked over and sat down in front of Hydra, "Hi fish lady!" She smiled.
 
Hydra floated there awkwardly as she looked off to the side, her eye yet again twitching. This time it was from the annoyance of it being so quiet and the child just staring at her. Right when she turned her attention back to the girl she was hit directly in the face by some sort of stuffed toy. Her glaring at the girl, she so baely wanted to drown her, but she inhaled and exhaled for a few long moments and when she was about to speak she yet again was hit square in the face by what seemed to be the same toy. She grabbed the two toys and easily riped them both in half before she gave a pleasantly annoyed smile to the girl. "Hello child...."
 
"You look like you need help with something. Whatchu need help with?" "Tell me about it on the way!" She giggled, full of excitement. She began to swim deeper into the water, her little legs kicking. "Wooooooooah." She did a huge loop around a fish. [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s[/COLOR][/SIZE] grabbed a fish and began petting it while she waited for Hydra to show her the way. After a few seconds she got tired of the fish and let it go, pelting it with some skittles before letting it swim rapidly away.

Hydra took in a deep breath to calm herself, she knew she was getting herself into something crazy being around this girl, but she had no choice in this moment. Diving under the water she watched the girl doing little tricks and harass a fish. Sighing she swam to the girl and grabbed her and eyed her sternly. "I'd appreciate you not bother the marine life, lets get going before you start getting weird again."

She held onto Hydra. "Onward!" She pointed ahead. She smiled and snuggles against Hydra, her little arms wrapped around Hydra's torso, her face buried in the mermaid's cleavage. Hydra sighed and held onto the girl, her swimming down towards the underwater caves. Her deep aqua eyes staring down the the girl now nuzzling into her breasts. She didn't really care, but she spoke sternly to her. "I understand you like them, but what you were doing to that one back there. What exactly were you throwing at him, by the way?"

She held out a handful of skittles to Hydra. But as they swam the skittles slid out of her and fell deeper in the water. "Aww." She pouted. [SIZE= 16px][COLOR= rgb(255, 0, 0)]S[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]k[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(255, 255, 0)]i[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 0)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 255, 255)]t[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(0, 0, 255)]l[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(238, 130, 238)]e[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(128, 0, 128)]s[/COLOR][/SIZE] shrugged and began stuffing skittles into Hydra's top, "Save some for later, they are super delicious and they are colorful and fun." She smiled excitedly.
 
Hydra could easily taste the sweetness in the water from the strange colorful food the girl was offering to her. Raising a brow she watched the food drop to the lake floor and shrugged. She then gasped feeling her cram her tiny hand in her kelp top, the feeling og the skittles against her breasts were strange and shd quickly lifted the girl up above her head. "I'll try them, just no more stuffing them in my breasts please." She pilled one out and ate it, the sweetness of it wasn't bad, but soon she shook the rest out of her top. "It was good."
 
"If you don't keep stuff in them what else are they for?" "Also if I don't put them in there where am I supposed to put them?" She giggled. "I told you they were good." She began tossing skittles around to brighten up the lake. "Do you like bread? I hear fishies like bread. Carbs make you fat though. I eat lots of bread but I am not fat. That's why I don't have boobs. But I do keep stuff in my dress!" She reached under and pulled out a large squeaky hammer. She swung it around, pelting random fish with it. It didn't hurt them but it made a loud squeak noise and made the ones she hit swim away quickly.
 
Hydra was speechless when it came to this girl, she spoke a million miles a minutes and spoke gibberish nonstop. She looked confusingly at the girl and shrugged. "Those weird colored food you gave me is the first human food I've ever tried, so to answer your question.. I dont know if I like bread." She soon grabbed the girl and hugged her into her breasts. "How about we leave the fish alone, m'kay."

She clung to Hydra. "Fish are funny. So are you a half fish? Mermaids are like half fish right? How come mermaids don't have big boobs? They don't have lots of fat on their bodies. I bet it is because they swim all the time so they are in good shape! Like runners, but underwater. Also why do some of them eat people? I don't think eating a people would taste very good. I was told by daddy that it is rude to eat people. You don't eat people do you? You look like a nice mermaid, so I don't think you would eat a people...." She blinked and started petting Hydra's head, "Good mermaid... Soft mermaid..." She smiled.
 
Hydra's eye twitched listening to the girls babbling as she swam through the narrow cave system underneath the lake. She held onto her tightly, so she wouldn't slip from her grip or anything as she making sharp turns. I suppose I am half fish and not all merpeople are skinny, some are on the heavier side. I don't believe merpeople eat humans anymore, that was something that happened years ago in a very bad war for my people. Also mermaids can have any size breasts, I'd like to think mine are okay in size.." She couldn't help looking at her breasts and sigh as she stared down at the girl. She made a face as she was get pet like a dog. "Skittles I'd appreciate you not petting me, I'm not as nice as you think I am." She frowned and continued to swin at a steady pace.
 
"Yours aren't super squishy though. I think anything squishy is fun. Like an octopus! I have a pet octopus that I named Roger. Say 'hello' Roger!" She pulled out a small orange octopus out of her dress and held it near Hydra's face. The octopus simply held still, its tentacles moving with the motion of the water. Skittles put Roger back in her dress and continued to cling to Hydra. "I also have an oyster named Denise. She is super sassy." Skittles then pulled an oyster out of her dress and held it out. There was complete silence as she just held the oyster. After another moment of silence Skittles finally spoke, "So much sass." She tisked, putting the oyster away.
 
Hydra raised a questioning brow in this girls choice of pets, but simple shrugged at her own thoughts and oddly looked at thelittle octopus named Roger. She raised a hand making it curl up before she slipped it back into her magical dress. It was than she narrowed her eyes and had a blank face when the girl pulled out a supposedly sassy oyster named Denise. With her eye twitching she stared at the oyster in silence and then peered at the girl like she was utterly insane. "Such a sassy oyster..." Sighing she made one more left turn and revealed the large underwater cavern that her and her mother lived in, but something seemed off. Placing the gril on a large stone, she quickly swam into the far corner and soon her fears became reality. Floating in the water up towards the surface was her mother, her eyes purely glazed over in white and her skin turned fully gray. Frowning she swam to her and held back her sobs, her mother was dead.
