First Contact: Orient
Welcome aboard Rangers. For this role play you'll be taking on the role of a Planetary Ranger, a forward soldier sent by a space-faring humanity to evaluate and secure potential worlds for colonization. You and your company have recently "landed" on your target anomaly, as the scientists back at fleet would say. Now you must gather your resources and head out to explore. Along the way you'll have to resupply at certain predesignated objectives while also defending against whatever obstacles that inhabit this world. Mingle and mix with the natives and get to know their culture, it is your responsibility to establish a favorable first impression for humanity. All that being said, understand that their will be hiccups...and at the end of it all perhaps this world may have too many of its own problems to serve as a colony for humanity. You may decide it's in your best interest to assist in solving those problems.

Optional Backstory:
Jim was born on the New Eden space station orbiting Earth. It primarily consisted of devout Baptists, hence the name, who believed that soon the Earth would die from the overuse and decadence of man, and that God would wipe everything away and rebuild it into New Jerusalem. Jim was never very religious, despite this environment, and always found himself fascinated by what was beyond the solar system. He wanted to know about every star, every planet. He spent every second he could reading book after book about the great explorers of the new frontier, soaking it all up like a sponge. When he turned eighteen, he enlisted in the military in hopes of becoming Planetary Ranger. After a few years of basic training, and several exams, Jim was accepted into the Rangers, and began service after receiving the necessary training. He's served with the Rangers for almost ten years now, and it was no surprise when he was promoted to Sergeant. Hell, it was during the celebration for this promotion that he met his wife, Helen, and so far they've yet to have any children due to their lines of work.

So just wanna let ya know why it keeps going into the mod queue:
My post says it is waiting for moderator approval, what does that mean?
New members have their content go through a filter which puts it into a moderation queue. A Staff member has to manually review any posts flagged by this system - which can happen due to certain keywords, phrases, or spambot behaviors. As this is a manual process it can take time for content in the queue to be reviewed.
This generally happens to new accounts, and would quickly go away after accruing some more posts.

feel free to continue onto discord if you want, but if you do, I have to move this interest check to the "Off-site Area"
