Lorin stood on the edge of his father's ship, Tolra's Doom, looking down through the clouds at the pirate group below them. Hidden as they were, the criminal ships floated beneath them towards whatever prize they were hoping to take - some merchant caravan most likely. They hadn't exactly been hired for this job but there was a long-standing bounty on pirates that attacked established routes, and quick research had shown this was one of them.

"They in position, Lorin?" his father asked from behind, and the young man looked back at his human father. With a smile and a nod he stepped back and looked into the man's eyes, his feline tail flicking slightly.

"Dad, I want to take the flagship," he said with a sparkle in his eyes. "I want to take it over, I'm ready to make my own crew."

"Are you now?" his mother asked, the Miqo'te female leaning on her husband with a smirk. "Are you sure about that? Running as a Free Captain is a lot of responsibility. Lot of people will depend on you."

Lorin nodded and met his mother's mischievous grin with his own. "I am. This is what I've been training for my whole life~" He blinked when his mother scratched him behind the ears and leaned into her hand. "Please."

"Of course, son. Board it as you please - but if it turns against you, come back. We can destroy it and take one another day."

"That won't happen."

--------------

"All crew, get ready for combat! Cannons at the ready, prep the boarding harpoons! On my mark cut the engines, freefall for ten seconds!" the general call sounded through the ship so each and every member knew what was happening. "The flagship is off-limits for cannon-fire. Boarding parties prioritise the flagship, cannons keep the rest off us. Time for the fledgling to spread his wings."

A minute would pass for preparations to be completed, and then Captain Malchevin gave the order. The engine would be shut down for two seconds and then be set to spool, with Tolra's Doom ending up with a surprise attack in the middle of the three ships. The largest one (a bit smaller than Tolra's Doom) Was the target. Grapple ropes were set, bridges being placed, and magitek swing-ropes prepared.

"See you on the other side!" Lorin said to his father before running to the edge of the ship and throwing his knife across, warping to it and rolling into the middle of the unprepared defenders. "This is gonna be fun."

Sif Lindel
Wincing slightly at the volume of the announcement Sif looked around curiously trying to decipher just what 'freefall' meant and got the hint half a second before the deck fell away beneath her feet leaving her grabbing for the railing in front of her with a yelp, as the engine kicked back in she stumbled and fell to one knee. Pulling herself upright she looked around daring anyone to comment on her apparent lack of the surefootedness Viera were said to possess, having only joined the ship at it's last port of call she's was still waiting to find her 'sky legs'.

Once Tolra's Doom was in position Sif took a running jump over the railing onto the deck of the pirate ship landing just outside the cluster Lorin had thrown himself into. Drawing four cards from her minor arcana stack in succession they hovered in the air around her and glowed until she launched them at the pirates with a gesture creating magical detonations where they struck. As a follow up she drew the top card from her major arcana deck identifying it as The Arrow with a glance, channelling her magicks from the card through her into Lorin he would feel his movements become even swifter than before.

Tokitoki Kitoki

Tokitoki.jpgOn the tallest point a man could read on the Tolra’s Doom, there laid a man, sketchbook in hand, staring up at the sky. He had been waiting for news on when they’d move out, though he wasn’t entirely sure of how the Free League of Captains worked. After all, he only had recently joined up after taking his leave of his old master.

A voice shouted, telling the crew to get ready for combat. Quickly rolling up, he stuffed his tiny book into a pocket within his loose kimono and snatched the scabbard that held his sword. "Free fall" made him question what that could be, but he didn’t dwell on it as he went to make his way to the deck.

Hopping off the tallest point and down, that was when the free fall started. Surprising for the Lalafell samurai, but he had enough training to know what to do if he were ever… falling.

Once the ground was coming to reach his legs, he quickly bent them and did a roll, just so he wouldn’t break them. The maneuver was basic training for a Belen who guarded royals. Well, used to.

Not having the legs to just happily hop from ship to pirate ship, he had to take to using a swinging rope to get to the other deck.

Reginald Barton

When the order came to board the pirate ship, Reginald stabilized himself, gripping the railing on Toira’s Doom as not to lose his balance or be thrown overboard. His time serving as a mercenary aboard skyships had left him with the experience of what it was like to fight on one. The familiar drop, followed shortly by stabilization was a familiar feeling to him. Retrieving his rifle from his back, he cocked it once and looked through the scope.

Other members of their crew had already made their presence known. Lorin, Sif and Tokitoki. As far as he could tell, Lorin was the one who was in charge with Sif and Tokitoki being similar to Reginald, being that they were crew members. Lorin had made a grand entrance, having teleported in the middle of the crowd of unprepared defenders, taking them by surprise. Sif seemed to be using some kind of magic to aid those on the ship while Toki was just swinging in. While they were free to fight among the pirates in a crowded space, Reginald felt that his expertise was better suited from afar. He focused his scope on where Lorin had surprised the defenders.

The surprise was going to be a temporarily one. Soon enough, weapons were going to be drawn and being in the middle was a surefire way for one to be quickly taken down. Taking aim at one of the pirates to the left, Reginald squeezed the trigger. Ping. A bullet shot forth from the barrel, spiraling towards one of the pirates, finding a spot right between his eyes. With a spin, the pirate fell to the ground with a thud. Cocking his rifle again, the spent casing was shot out of the side of the gun, landing squarely at Reginald’s feet.

Repositioning himself and taking aim, it seemed the pirates were a bit confused on where the shot had come from, looking around. Another crack rang out, another pirate fell to the ground, another spent casing was shot out from the side. Two shots from one side was bound to get the pirates looking to where the shots were coming from. Ducking down, Reginald quickly maneuver himself about 12 feet from his previous position. Assuming his sharpshooting stance, he began to look for a new target. A specialist such a powder monkey or a sharpshooter would be his next target, or taking out anyone who looked like they were about to introduce magic to the battlefield.

Archy wanted to work in the engine room when he first sighed up to join the crew of the Tolra's Doom. He really wanted to just spend the day working on machinery and keeping things in top shape and just enjoying his craft. But evidently the Tolra's Doom already had a full complement of master engineers, like actual masters who weren't just some kid fresh out of a mechanic's shop. But Archy still signed the contract to become part of the crew, just a regular sailor doing normal work which honestly that bad. But now he found himself clutching his pistol as he was surrounded by other crewmen as they prepared to take the jump over to a pirate flagship. Archy wanted to say he didn't sign up for this... but after taking a look at the contract he signed evidently he did as this sort of thing was ordered by the captain of the ship. Archy sighed as he checked his weapon, it was still loaded just like the previous five times he had checked it. Then the ship took it's plunge and everything went by in slow motion.

As the ship stabilized itself at its new altitude Archy was among those who charged across the boarding bridges. While other crew let out some sort of battle cry Archy joined in albeit somewhat weakly as his feet landed on the other ship. Of course it was immediately a scene of chaos as the crew of Tolra's Doom fought pirates hand to hand with all sorts of weapons and even a bit of magic. Archy wasn't really skilled at fighting whatsoever but at least he had his pistol. Said pistol became immediately useful as a pirate noticed him just sort of standing there on the ship and came rushing at him with a sword. Archy did the natural thing and simply shot the man, a feeling that Archy immediately recognized that he would never get used to. But fortunately for Archy's sensibilities there were more pirates around and he actually saw one getting the upper hand against a crewman and decided to help with another shot from his pistol. Thus Archy joined the carnage of the boarding, shooting pirates who got close to him and generally trying to keep clear of the melee when he could.

"20... 15... 10... mark!" an energetic voice sounded in the bridge as the airship rapidly descended. "Yer good cap'n, wish us luck!"

That voice belonged to one M'ryha Vehn, currently situated in the lower observation gallery as she reported back the relative position of their target over a handheld comm. Wrangling a ship into position right in the middle of an operating fleet was no small undertaking, and it was truely a testament to the captain's skill that the Tolra's Doom was able to drop and orient position at the rate it did. But with their ship now situated side by side with the largest of the pirate ships, M'ryha's duty as a lookout was now secondary to her membership in the boarding party. With nary a wasted second, she dashed into the transport tunnel to her upper post, high above the deck of the mighty airship, and, stepping out onto the open observation platform, put one leg up on the surrounding railing and leapt straight off the edge of the crow's nest.

The miqo'te free-fell downwards at what would be a terrifying rate had she not already a plan: assuming the crew had done their job, there should be... there! As winds buffeted past M'ryha's furred ears, her tail flapping about as she glided towards her destination, a single swing-rope glistened in the sun, placed far, far higher in the rigging than any of the others. Good job guys, now you won't be mopping me off the deck! She grabbed hold of the rope as she went sailing past, and as the line spooled and went taunt, she was propelled in a massive, wide swing down and over to the pirate ship at great speed. She let go just as her momentum began to arrest, and as any whose attention was caught watched, she sailed through the air in a slow back flip, as if she were merely an acrobatic gymnast... before unsheathing her "claws" and plunging into middle of the fray.

With a bone-shattering thud, she landed but a few meters away from the others, slamming down atop a pair of pirates as she drove her twin daggers into a neck a piece. Without missing a beat, she yanked them back out as she stood, immediately going into a deflection pattern with the twinned blades to parry a retaliatory swing from one of the several remaining pirates. Catching sight of the the others, she gave a hearty "Well well well!" as a lightning fast backhand swipe cut her newest opponent down to size. She turned to wave to them all and give a overblown bow, which simultaneously evaded a heavy-bladed axe swung at her face. "Fancy seeing you lot all over here! I was afraid I'd be late fer the party!" As she dodged a second swipe from the heavily muscled axe-man, leaping upwards to cling to a bit of scaffolding before launching off it to kick the goon in the teeth, she turned to leader of this boarding effort, giving a quick nod to the ship itself. "So this is the one you want, eh, Lorry? Hope you didn't pick a dud!"

Larue Vansmith
Already prepped and waiting on deck, Larue stood. Captian Malchevin gave a quick overview of the plan for the flagship of the pirates. Board and commender it, so the mission was minimum damage to the ship and removal of the previous crew. No different than he had planned. As they prepared for freefall, Larue pulled on his goggles and scarf covering most of his face. Filling a rail to lean against, he put himself at a standing angle taking a deep breath.

The engines cut and they dropped, it was short but ten seconds of time can few like hours in combat. The crew spang to live as those around him began the board. Larue took a moment to scan the opposing ship, sounds of cannons and harpoons notwithstanding. Seeing the bridge, he decided to head there first and take out any helmsmen or navigators. Rolling his shoulders, took his pistol out, and he aimed his grappling hook with a running start. As it hooked around, Larue jumped and reeled himself in crossing the gap and taking potshots at some of the pirate crew. A few went down but only half as much. Dropping onto the deck he was surrounded by three men. Larue couldn't tell if they were guarding the door or just happened to be there.

As he line reeled in, Larue switched from his gun to melee. Shortsword main, dagger secondary. With a flash, he tackled one of them and stabbed him in the neck. The next put a fight up, swing out his sword. Sidestep, and parrying the attack he slashed across the stomach gutting him. The final men stopped and turned seeming to run, with a flick of his wrist the cord wrapped his neck. A tug and kick ended the pirate.

Walking in only one man was there looking to power up the ship and attempt to flee. Larue sighed and shot the man in the back twice. "That wasn't fair to him at all." Going back out he yelled. "Bridge clear! Orders?"

The order for boarding was given and everybody rushed into position. Edrick finished the clasp on his armor and put on the dragon-like helmet over his head. After making sure that his helmet was on tight, he walked out on to the deck. The enemy ship was close in sight, ripe for the taking. Edrick heard shouting all over him as people prepared to fire and board the ship. He could see several of his crew already making their way onto the ship. "Well, I don't to be outdone here," Edrick said to himself. He swiftly ran to the edge of the ship and leaped high into the air. 10ft, 20ft, 30ft, 30ft until he stopped his ascent. Looking down he saw several pirates running around, but the ones in the crow's nest wielding gun seemed to be the biggest issue. Finding his target he descended spear first towards the ship, his speed growing every moment he fell. The pirate didn't have a chance, in a single strike he was impaled by the dragoon. Edrick looked around and saw several other pirates hanging around the other mast. And with a quick leap and thrust, they were gone as well.

Abby Appleton

Abby was having a nice peaceful read of one of her books when the crew started working around her she didn't even notice there was a battle going on until weapons where being shot. "Sigh and it was such a peaceful day to read outside too." slowly getting up and dusting the dirt off her dress she hears the orders for a boarding party on to the ship beside them and by the looks of things once again they're going without the aid of one of the ships healers. "Well beats just waiting for them come back with cuts." Grabbing her staff she runs over to the crossing of two ships and quickly makes her across stopping just long enough to cast aero on a few of the ships men throwing them off of it. Once onboard she would hit another man with her staff knocking them out. "Hello, I see you forgot to request a healer again, no worries I've decided to come anyways leave your wounds to me." She says this calmly approaching the group.

Edwyn Stone
A familiar click sounded out as Edwyn loaded a shell into his gunblade, the red shell signifying that it was an explosive one. He then closed the hinge with another satisfying click of the locking mechanism that made sure the X-1 didn't explode into a million pieces when fired. Then using his offhand Edwyn racked and primed the blade for firing, making sure to keep his hand away from the trigger. As orders came through to capture the pirate's flagship Edwyn prepared himself for the drop, keeping the gunblade's blunt edge resting on his shoulder while his other hand on the railing.

Once everything was in position and they had taken the enemy by surprise and Edwyn's fellow crewmates had begun board the enemy vessel and engaging with the pirates Edwyn also prepared to board as well. Taking hold onto one of the many ropes Edwyn stepped up onto the railing, looking down at the expansive sky below them, "God's why do I always have to look down," he grumbled to himself. While Edwyn has been a part of the league for a few months now he still hasn't become used to ariel combat, especially boarding procedures like this where one mistake could lead to a very, very long fall to doom. And with one quick breath followed by a quick prayer, Edwyn hopped off the rail and begun to sail towards the Pirate's ship.

Waiting until his momentum could carry him far enough Edwyn let go of the rope and he found himself safely on the enemies deck, attracting the attention of a few pirates. Readying himself for combat Edwyn looked at his opponents, "Lay down thy weapons and you may keep your lives," he warned them, but the pirates drew their weapons anyway. "Why do they never listen," he sighed, raising his blade to parry the first blow, and as the two blades connected Edwyn took a small step forward with his leading foot before using his hips to swing his other foot around to sweep his opponent's legs. Knocking the Pirate off balance left him open and in one clean slice, Edwyn ended his pirating career. After ending that poor soul's life Edwyn observed the battlefield, moving closer to his allied to provide support.

Upon hearing Lorin's orders, Silas raises his blade and looks to the various soldiers under his command. "Now's the time to deliver our justice! Deliver unto them the hell they've been sentenced!". The small but eager group of soldiers respond with a high morale, battle cry and take charge to the nearest ropes and hooks to descend.

Silas sheathes his blade and shield and takes in a deep breath on the edge of the ship. After a moment of mental preparation he dives with conviction into the fray of the ship below. Gaining dangerous speeds as he nears the base of their ship, he throws his hands toward the floor with great force. Two plumes of flame project a steady stream onto their base and Silas lands onto the dock with the force of his inferno breaking his descending velocity. A small party of pirates ready themselves as the flames clear. Silas readies his weapon and shield and cuts through the blaze.

"The darkness in your hearts have blinded you to the severity of your crimes. Please, allow my fire to shine bright through them!"

Two of the pirates takes charge at Silas wildly in a poor flanking position. Using his advanced military training and natural prowess, he quickly ignites his weaponry and flips the first attacker overhead with his shield and uses his angled momentum to deliver a devastating horizontal crescent cut into the second - setting both ablaze. The other two pirates cautiously consider how to approach this Warrior of Light, as Silas gets into a defensive position.

"Come, confront the fate that you have sewn!" Silas declares, hoping the rest of his compatriots are faring just as well in their respective encounters.Silas ready.jpg

Lorin felt his feet grow lighter, followed by the rest of his body, and glanced at Sif to give her an approving nod. From her own admission she didn't know much about the outside world, but she did seem to know about helping the crew when they needed it. A moment later he ducked to the side as one pirate slammed a large axe onto the deck just to get Lorin's large knife jammed into his chest. "Please don't do too much damage to my ship," he said with a grin, eyes scanning the deck as the man fell.

"Captain! Show yourself! Are you off hiding while your men fight without you!?" he roared, phasing out of the way of one pirate who tried to stab his back, slashing the man in answer. "Or perhaps you hold no loyalty to these men!?"

When no captain made itself known, Lorin scowled and looked to M'yrha - her jest making him chuckle and lighten a bit. "Well, Let's go find out. Silas!" he called to the commander of the marines. "You're with me, we're hunting the captain. Edwyn, Archy, Larue! Head to the belly, disable their canons and make sure they can't sabotage the engine. Sif, Tokitoki, Abby! Clear out the middle decks. The rest of you, stay on station here! Remember, if they surrender, don't kill them."

With that, Reginald the Marksman and the two most mobile - M'rhya and Edrick - would be left on the decks to keep it clear. Though Larue would find himself a bit delayed...

Before Larue could join his fellow engineers, he would find himself knocked back into the room by a man who grabbed him by the scruff and tossed him in. "So, you killed my mates, eh?" the Helmsman said with a growl, brandishing a wicked-looking spiked chain. "I hope you're ready to make up for that." He then swung the chain at Larue's feet before charging, hoping to get the jump once he was tripped up.

[Helmsman is an Elite, keep attacks to strikes only]

"Well, Let's go find out. Silas!"

Silas hears his command as the last two pirates take charge, assuming Silas has been distracted. "How typical!" Silas uppercuts the first with his flaming shield and flows into a backswing to clip the other, setting both on fire and incapacitating them. Silas looks into the direction of the call and raises his blade.

"Men, our commander has called! Troop A, with me! Troops B-D, fan out! Priortitize herding and self defense!"

The soldiers uniformly regroup after their smaller battles come to a close and disperse properly.

Silas catches up with Lorin, using his shield as a battering ram for any who dared get in his path. "Commander, we're at your call. Troop A, divide and conquer!" Silas orders as the soldiers begin to form smaller groups of 3 and split up for investigation.

"Hopefully, he will surrender and won't have to succumb to more violence than he's already permitted..." Silas says, concerned for the possibility of more unnecessary combat.

Tokitoki Kitoki

Tokitoki.jpgIt wasn’t long after the Lalafell landed that a small group of pirates tried to surround him, underestimating the power that he could have behind his stature. A smile gracing his face, he spread his feet in a stance, then swung. An unfortunate couple were closer to the edge than they really should have been and were knocked overboard. The other couple were sliced with his blade.

25%

Just as he used the wrong end of his sword to knock yet another overboard, he could clearly hear his orders just as he spotted their healer.

Time to guard the healer! It would be bad news if someone didn’t, after all.

Hopping off the taller deck, he sliced someone on his way over to Abby, then turned around to put his back to her back.

Alright, Beautifuls!-” referring to Abby and Sif as well “-It’s us versus them. Too bad they don’t have a chance,” he said with a confident smile plastered to his face.

"So you want your only medical professional to go out in the middle of the battlefield and clear it out. Very well." Abby ready her staff and dose her usual chant of summing the winds around her using them to knock some of the weaker foes around her overboard. Taking a step back to avoid an incoming blow from a sword she felt the back of Tokitoki. "Beautiful? What are you referring to? The sky I guess its nice, we see a lot of it after all. Or perhaps your talking about the ship I guess if the color brown is your thing. Oh, are you talking about the blood on that one man, yes human blood is truly pretty." She says all while casting Aero on a few men behind Sif. "Well, that is true our numbers are about three to ten. Not very good odds Tokitoki or perhaps you mean skill then in that case we are indeed winners."

Sif Lindel
Hearing the order Sif looked around for the other two crew members she had been asked to group up with but couldn't see Tokitoki anywhere among the mess on the deck but Abby was easier to spot and she found the Lalafell back to back (or back to thigh) with her. "'Beautifuls'?" She echoed and leaned in to take a long look at Abby then nodded approvingly. "I can see why you'd say that. Anyway shall we?" Searching for a moment she spotted a hatch leading below decks and peeked her head inside only to have it nearly taken off by an axe-man camping at the bottom of the ladder.

Pulling her head back hastily Sif scowled and shot five cards through the hatch that swirled in circle creating an arcane vortex that tossed the camper aside clearing the space. Drawing another arcanum she smiled in satisfaction and cast the effect of The Bole of Tokitoki then nudged him towards the hatchway. "After you small one." While the effect of the card wouldn't be immediately apparent to Tokitoki any blows that did land on him would cause less harm than they otherwise would have. Dropping down herself she landed smoothly with a brace of cards already in hand, floating them in front of her she spun them in a wheel shape firing a beam out of the centre that caught several pirates as it burned along the length of the deck.

Tokitoki Kitoki

Tokitoki.jpgTokitoki swiped at a couple of the pirates approaching, doing the best he could to keep them off the healer as she rattled on about what she thought was beautiful.

50%

What a charming person she is! Sif too; though, the Viera seemed to realize that Tokitoki was talking about Abby, she had missed he meant both of them.

A hearty laugh escaped his lips as Sif joined them while responding back to Abby, “Well, of course they’re outclassed! They messed with the wrong ship!

That wasn’t correct, considering the Tolra’s Doom is the one that dropped down to the pirates, but it was the pirates fault for doing pirate schemes.

Going to the doorway that would lead below decks, Sif had stuck her head in, only to almost get beheaded. He shook his head.

What a silly! She could have just pushed him forward!

As Sif casted a spell upon his person, he could feel the effects across his skin, and then he was nudged forward.

Feeling empowered, he had no problem with such a request, and had no problem being labeled “Small One.” It was true after all.

Anything to protect you guys!” He leapt forward, landing one ship-story down, prepared to swing at anyone who would approach, being the first one down. Though he was concerned about Abby, since being underneath the top deck, he couldn’t see what was going on anymore.

"Why are you staring at me like that, did I get an injury? I assure you that I'm just fine." Abby looks her self over in confusion perhaps Sif simply thought she saw something different? It didn't take long for the group to find the hatch which leads deeper into the ship, Sif would open it up only to quilky back away as an ax was about to chop off her head. "Oh looks like it took off a few hairs of yours, try not to do that again. Or at least if do can I research your body parts. It's so hard to get a closeup study in this field." Abby watched as Sif did her magics making sure to exmain her for any cuts that might of occurred. She would be the last person to drop down the hatch with the others but would be breafly stopped by a few men who were still on deck with her. "You wouldn't mind stoping would you? No? Okay." She simply cast Aro once again throwing more men over bored. She then dropped down with the others landing behind them.

"Mehhhh, clean-up duty," M'ryha grumbled, spinning on one foot to catch a thrust blade in a wide sweeping parry. "When do I get to climb up to the bridge and kick some ass?" Her blades flashed out in synchronized time, and another pirate fell before her. She whirled her blades back up to ready, a momentary lull in the action serving to allow her to hazard a look at who else was topside. "Tch. Well at least I'm not alone over here," she remarked, her eyes sweeping over to her lance-wielding shipmate. Looks like the Dragoon's on-deck as well. Anybody else?

The crack of a rifle answered her internal curiosity, and M'rhya didn't even bother to look to the identity of who their fire-support was. Well, while I'm glad to have ol' four-eyes covering my back, I'm just hoping he doesn't flinch and shoot my tail off... Well, if nothing else, it would do to coordinate her actions with Edrick and give him the heads up on Reginald. "Oi! Dragonboy! It's you, me, and Reggie's bullets on the top deck! How you wanna handle 'is?"

Larue Vansmith
Gathering his orders Larue nodded and watched as the groups split up and went about the tasks given. He was to join the other mechanics down in the engine room and keep it stable as well as protected. Larue was more a fighter than a technician but his upbringing and the training he received gave him enough skill to be of use to the others he would be joining. Turning he catch a foot on the ground that wasn't previously there, a quick glance deemed that the foot was a dead pirate that must have slid from the ship's slight movements. This threw him off balance and caused him to fall. Rolling back into the bridge.

As he completed the roll, Larue found himself face to face with an angry man, wielding a harsh looking chain whip beginning to scream at him. 'Hrm... That is not something I want to get hit with... Gotta need to disarm him quickly...' He couldn't linger on that thought long as the whip came out, flying at his feet. That attacks were fast and relentless Larue had some trouble keeping up. But he found the rhythm of his attacks, using his shortsword Larue causing it to hit and wrap around it. The notches on the back clipping it in place. Now with leverage, the two began a pulling match, Larue waiting for the right moment. 'Now!' He thought letting go of the sword, hoping to trip the man back. He ran in to try and deliver a heavy kick to the chest.

"Follow the captains orders!" Edrick shouts, swiping his spear in a long arc cutting down another pirate. He leaps into the air and lands on another pirate near M'ryha skewering him in the process. "Let's just keep the deck as clear as we can." He'll turn towards the direction of "Sharpshooter watch my back for a sec!" He takes a quick glance at the still remaining group of pirates around them. This may take longer than it needs to be. Edrick will point to behind M'ryha "You take that half of the deck, I'll take this side. I'd like to get this over with as fast as possible. Is that okay with you?"

Hearing Lorin's orders, Archy simply nodded and began to make his way bellow decks until he saw Larue be pulled away into a room by a large man. Naturally Archy felt he should do something, while at the same time he really didn't want to purposefully put himself into a dangerous situation but as he heard a struggle inside he cursed internally before rushing off to see if he could help. Upon opening the door he saw a large man with a scary whip attacking Larue and Archy became afraid but seeing as how he had something of the element of surprise he tried his best to aim his pistol and shoot at the helmsman while his attention was on Laure. Not particularly honorable but then again, Archy was a mechanic not a sword fighter, or any kind of fighter really.

"I don't think he will." Lorin said to the marine commander as they worked their way down to the second deck and towards the front. "Pirates don't like to give up. Rather die then be captured and all that." Pirates would throw themselves at the two, and though the captain-to-be was unable to truly make use of his magic in a closed space, he still showed a lot of skill in the basics of combat — he dodged, parried and struck.

"That said, I want to get him alive if possible. Nothing helps you cement a claim to the free captains like turning in the bounty of the previous captain." It wouldn't be too long until they reached what was, according to the build of the ship, the command center. "Alright. I'd be surprised if they weren't waiting for us... wait here for a moment."

Lorin dashed forward and shouldered through the door, throwing his blade inside the room and warping to dodge a barrage of gunfire that pelted the entryway. "Where's the captain? I'd like to speak with him."

"Like hell! You'll die here, stupid kid!" The captain roared, drawing an etched sword while five guns were pointed at Lorin.

[Group 2.5 - Tuska Tuska KennethPhoenix18 KennethPhoenix18 -> Helmsman Fight]

The helmsman laughed each time he struck the whip at Larue's feet, seemingly happier to make his opponent dance than actually fighting. Though once the spiked chain was caught, he grinned. "Quite a fighter, aren't you?" he laughed as he pulled on the weapons. But he wasn't ignorant of the footsteps behind him — the moment Larue let go, so did the pirate. He spun and grabbed Archy's gun hand, bullet going wide as the mechanic was swung around to smack into Larue.

Kick hit chest, and crewmate hit crewmate. The helmsman stumbled as Archy was tossed into Larue, sending the two sprawling back into the helm. "Quite a pirate you'd be, boy." he laughed to Archy. "How do ye feel about grog?"

Once Tokitoki, Abby, and Sif made it onto the second of six decks (including the top-deck and the belly), they would be given a wide hallway with doors on either side. This seemed to be something of a living area, with a kitchen, dining area, and other places for entertainment. Most of the crew was cleared out already, but at the other end would be where Lorin had gone to face the captain. They could go with him, or head to the deck below...

The top deck would soon be mostly clear, stragglers killed or otherwise taken down. Before the group could celebrate, though, one of the other Pirate ships took position and began dropping reinforcements. A cannon shot took down the bridge back to Tolra's Doom, and the barrage from other ships made the home ship start to drift away. Two of the other ships were already wrecks, but these pirates weren't giving up without a fight.

Archy did his best to recover from what felt like being hit by a heavy sack of miscellaneous consents, he knew he had missed as the pirate was speaking to him which he found a little odd. "I don't drink." Archy said as he tried to shoot the man again from his position on the ground. He felt it was risky but if anything he wanted to at least get the pirate away from him, hopefully Larue could get up to keep fighting. If not then Archy really didn't know what else to do here, the pirate was large and clearly better at fighting than him but Archy wasn't in the business of leaving fellow crewmen behind. He wasn't a fighter but he still understood what honor and sticking by your allies meant.

Sif Lindel
Blasting open a door Sif leaped through the opening with a battle cry, before the dust cleared she yelled at the top of her lungs. "Alright pirate scum! Throw down your weapons or meet your end!" Finally taking a moment to actually look around she found that she had just demanded the surrender of the pantry, quickly stepping back out she looked around sheepishly hoping no one had seen that. Finding that most of the enemy seemed to be sprawled across the deck she explored the various rooms with a casual spring in her step and the occasional irritated glance at lower hanging parts of the ceiling that clearly hadn't been built with the additional height of her ears in mind.

Hearing a commotion closer by over the ongoing sound from fighting on the top deck she headed towards it and found that Lorin had found a decent mess to jump right into leaving Silas outside. "What are you standing out here for? Let's get in there!" She barked at Silas then used Lorin's attention grabbing entrance to slip into the room behind a trio of the gun toting pirates and shoot a card each at the backs of their heads.
