The Year is 2137. The Earth (Now known as Cursed Earth) is dead and radioactive from World War 3. There are a few settlements scattered across the Cursed Earth. But the biggest ones are known as Mega-Cities; huge cities built to accommodate millions of citizens.


The biggest is Mega-City One, built to house about 70 million people, it is currently housing about 400 million. The city has sectors called "blocks", each block has businesses and housing complexes. Within Mega-City One, extensive automation has rendered the majority of the population unemployed. Because of this, many resort to crime, causing the city to act.


Luckily Mega-City One has one of the greatest justice systems on Cursed Earth. Instead of the criminal process of the old world, officers are now known as Street Judges. These Street Judges (or just Judges) are the criminal process, they arrest, judge the crimes, and carry out the punishment of the criminal on the spot.


But, the streets are dangerous, and the criminals outnumber the Judges 20 to 1. As long as you follow the Judges handbook, you should be fine

Judge Divisions

• Street Division (normal Judges)
  
• Riot squads
  
• H-Wagon crews (aerial units)
  
• Teacher at the Academy of Law
  
• Psi Division (judges with psychic powers)
  
• Special Judicial Squad or SJS (internal affairs)
  
• Tek Division, a.k.a. Technical Division (scientists)
  
• "Wally Squad" (Undercover Division)
  
• Public Surveillance Units (PSU)
  
• Meat Wagons (corpse disposal, often using civilian auxiliaries)
  
• Holocaust Squad (teams of disgraced Judges who undertake suicide missions at times of extreme peril to Mega-City One)
  

In 2134, there was an across-the-board divisional merger, creating:

• Street Division: Meat Wagon, H-Wagon, Riot, and Sniper divisions
  
• Undercover Operations Division: SJS, Wally Squad, and PSU.
