Fandom Fallout RP Check

Scaddox

Formerly Funny.
Looking for a couple of people that would feel like doing an RP set in Fallout . A good time could be just after the plot of Fallout: New Vegas in the reality where The Courier sides with Yes Man and kills the leaders of both the Legion and the NCR.

There'll be some sort of story that members of the RP can do but it'll be day to day as well

And that's five for the list! One more will do, unless you all are eager to start something.
Shugoki Shugoki
Obi-Wan Kenobi Obi-Wan Kenobi
CoolGuy CoolGuy
I'll tag along.

So did the Courier essentially fix the Mojave? Get Securitrons everywhere, make a government, make laws, get an actual army, design a flag, make Freeside less of a slum, and gentrify most of the ghettos and former Fiend territory around the Strip?

Also, finally, did the Courier take advantage of any of the DLC locations?

If you want a short description of the Courier would be nice too.

Yeah, it is, sorry that I hadn't responded.
For the most part I was honestly considering which major decisions The Courier made. This is a LONG post, so you might wanna get like a snack or something.

Goodsprings, Primm, Novac, and Nipton:
Goodsprings prospers after the defeat of House, the NCR and the Legion. Many tourists travel here to listen to the story of the Courier that rose from the dead.
Meyers becomes the new sheriff of Primm.
The convicts in the Bison Steve hotel are wiped out, Deputy Beagle survives.
Jeannie-May Crawford is killed by Boone, and Boone is one of the many NCR soldiers pushed out of the Mojave.
The Bright followers manage to help Novac improve their defenses following the events at the REPCONN Test Site.
Nipton is abandoned by the Legion after their defeat at Hoover Dam. some travelers make homes out of the burnt remains.

Jacobstown and Westside:
Doctor Henry discovered the cure for the Nightkin Schizophrenia, with the help of the Courier. Keene was convinced to stay, and the town thrives, becoming a successful place for Mutants and Humans to trade.
After Tabitha was convinced to leave Black Mountain, the majority of the Super Mutants moved into Jacobstown.
(I honestly have never done anything in Westside. If you guys have any ideas on what should have happened there I'd appreciate it greatly.)

Freeside:
Dixon is put out of business by the Courier, and the Van Graffs are destroyed by Rose of Sharon Cassidy.
The popularity of The Atomic Wrangler increases drastically, after the leaders of the Omertas are killed in Gomorrah, and the cannibalistic nature of the White Glove Society is revealed, causing the destruction of the two Casinos, leaving abandoned buildings of what had once been. The increased popularity of The Atomic Wrangler brings enough caps in to Freeside to allow the Garrett siblings to receive supplies from the Crimson Caravan. These supplies are given to The Followers of the Apocalypse.
The Followers of the Apocalypse, with help from the Kings, manage to supply the population of Freeside with food, water and medical attention, creating a more stable stop before The Strip.
Despite the best efforts of the Kings, crime still remains.

Vaults:
The Vault 3 Fiends were wiped out, along with the Vault 19 Convicts. The plants and creatures of Vault 22 were destroyed. Vault 11 was sealed. Vault 34 was looted and, the NCR sharecropper farms were destroyed in order to help those trapped in the Vault. Vault 21 remains a successful casino.

Yes, the Courier did go to all the DLC locations.
They trapped Elijah within the Sierra Madre Vault. Dean Domino survived, Christine survived, Dog and God merged, and Survived.
They crushed the White Legs in the final battle of Zion. Follows-Chalk left Zion to see Vegas, and the rest of the wasteland.
They spared Doctor Mobius in the Big Empty, as well as the members of the Think Tank.
They spared Ulysses at the Missile Silo and fired the nukes on both The Legion and NCR.

If I've missed something out, do tell me. I know some things I've written aren't exactly canon in the end credits scenes, but this was in order to attempt to make this easier to RP.

Several things.

Boone is no longer enlisted. Meyers as Sheriff of Primm is a bad idea, Primm Slim, the protectron, would serve better as Sheriff (unless you want Meyers because he's worse), even if he is slow. And nuking the NCR and Legion isn't necessary. It took years for the Legion to recover from the first battle of Hoover Dam, just imagine how much longer (if at all) it'll take for them to get back up on their feet after the second and much worse defeat they suffered? And the NCR, well, Aaron Kimball (the current president) was incredibly unpopular because of his pouring of troops into the Mojave. The NCR could be led by a president that would rather trade with and coexist with the Mojave rather than try to annex it.

You could take out the bosses of the Omertas and make one of their lieutenants become the leader in-game. Unless you want the Omertas to be wiped out in this.

And the White Glove Society is mostly filled with good people. Mortimer and his handful of buddies are only a portion of the White Glover Society. The majority are reformed cannibalistic tribals, which is a pretty big improvement.

Westside in-game has a co-op that sells fresh produce. Westside is prospering because they're secretly siphoning water from the NCR Sharecropper farm in order to grow their crops, this is orchestrated by Anderson, a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse who had killed a few NCR soldiers to keep this quiet.

You can tell the NCR this, keep Westside's secret, blackmail Westside with this. Stuff like that. There's also this place nearby called the Thorn that's basically like fight club but instead of fighting people you're fighting creatures. It's run by some scary chick.

The reason I picked the majority of this was because I wanted the Courier to be secretly, throughout the events of the game, setting up the other factions so no-one could stand up to them when they created their independent Vegas. Meyers as the sheriff of Primm would govern a tough law in the town, with heavy jurisdiction and a general bad cop nature keeping people in check. Nuking the NCR prevents the majority of troops from making their way through the Long 15, severing the ties to the Hub and preventing a full-scale assault on the Courier's Securitron army. Furthermore, the additional humiliation and threat of the Courier having such heavy ordinance that Kimball (Or likely, Kimball's replacement) would back down. This would likely allow the Courier to negotiate with the NCR, as you mentioned, but in a way that mainly benefit themselves. Nuking Dry Wells would additionally lessen the troops of Caesar's Legion, allowing the Courier to push back the assault on Hoover Dam.

As for the White Glove Society and the Omertas, taking out two supposedly evil families on the Strip would make the Courier seem like a better, more caring and respectable person, but could also allow the Courier to open the Lucky 38 to the public, and increase their own profits.

I wanted the courier to seem like a good character to the citizens of the towns across the Mojave, but also making their own life better than everyone else's.

I think you fail to realize that the NCR or the Legion could never defeat the Courier's New Vegas.

The average NCR Trooper has leather armor and a service rifle, is poorly trained and has poor morale. Though they do have special forces units, there's only so much they could do to turn the tide of a battle.

A Securitron has a grenade launcher, missile launcher, Gatling laser, and a 9mm submachinegun. They can also repair themselves. Securitrons have pinpoint accuracy and a complete lack of fear. I'm guessing there's a few hundred to a thousand Securitrons in existence. While there are probably tens of thousands of NCR troopers, that's not enough by a long shot. A single Securitron can take down a BOS Paladin by itself.

Then the Courier can recruit the Boomers. A Tribe with five 75mm artillery guns and a B-29 Bomber at their disposal. The NCR has no aircraft aside from vertibirds and no artillery guns.

Big Mountain can produce Cyberdogs and Roboscorpians to supplement the Courier's army.

The Sierra Madre Vending Machines can create literally anything the Courier needs, so long as he has the chips for it.

The Divide has a incredible stockpile of weapons and armor, enough to equip an entire army.

Then you can recruit from the tribes and towns of the area to make an army. The Courier can even recruit a squad of Enclave Remnants.

The NCR has to get everything through the Mojave Outpost. A mountain pass is very defensible.

Also, Meyers wrongfully convicts and kills multiple people in Primm. There's a reason why he was sent to the NCR Correctional Facility.

Like General Lee Oliver pisses himself when you float the idea of bombing Shady Sands, the capital of the NCR, with your B-29 bomber.

If you were the leader of one of the largest cities in the post-apocalyptic world, would you not be making sure that the chance of you losing that responsibility (and all of the perks that come with it) was the smallest chance possible? Besides, this RP won't be about the Courier, it's about the people surviving in the wasteland after.

I think I wouldn't nuke and possibly kill hundreds of innocent NCR citizens and military personnel and piss off my close and large neighbor that'll harbor a grudge and eventually find a way around that particular irradiated patch of highway to crush me.

Besides, the NCR is Vegas's biggest customer. The economy would take a massive hit and NCR settlers would leave the Mojave. Vegas can't even feed itself without caravan shipments from California.

Look, it was an idea. You have been rushing me because I couldn't reply for one day. If you think it's such a bad idea, then just don't take part, but if you want to actually suggest something then do it nicely.
