Right, yeah. Not to mention it'd be an early way to decide where she fits in before she signs up for real, and so will probably be assigned to the same crew as an officer when she does.
It would also mean Marius having to protect your character as she is a cadet, and has little combat experience compared to his 200+ years
Right. Especially during the low Crusix phases, she'll have to rely more on Marius and the tech at her disposal than her magic for protection.
