Fantasy Falador Academy

iShyShy

Yin&Yang = Pandas
Falador Academy: A place for everyone that is not like the other humans. Some are even seen as non-human at all. Within the gates of Falador nothing matters, there is no more hiding. Be proud of who you are and what you can do.

Falador Academy is specifically there for people with certain abilities. A special force is set up to pick up everyone that has abilities and make sure they settle at Falador. There they can learn more about their own powers in the huge libraries, but also learn how to control them, who they are triggered and even how to combine them with the abilities of someone else in the training rooms. For most, Falador is their home, even after they have finished all their courses they stay there. It is a safe haven for those who are different in a certain way.

Now Christmas is around the corner, snow covers the ground at Falador Academy. The classes which consist both about the abilities as well as normal subject continue. Furthermore, their abilities might make them nonhuman (at least to those without abilities maybe) but their feelings are not that much different. Love, Envy, Hate, Friendship... what will Falador Academy bring this Christmas?

It was Friday late afternoon, which meant it was time for Capture the Flag, Falador style. Pretty much like every Capture the Flag game this meant there were two teams. Their mission was to, yes very surprising, capture the flag. Unlike the normal game, there was only one flag and none of the team members knew where it was hidden. The team to find the flag had won, the losing team would buy the first round of drinks for the winning team and that was it. Within the arena where the game was played several tips and hints were hidden to help the teams to find the flag or prepare them for sudden surprises, like a changing of surroundings, since at Falador everything was possible. One moment you are searching for a flag in the snow and two minutes later a dessert surrounds you. Though the surroundings were all virtual and based on illusions, the pain and wounds were as real as the persons searching for the flag. The hints were hidden in colourful envelops. Red envelope meant it was a tip to find the flag, which was mostly in the form of a puzzle or riddle. Blue were hints regarding the changing of the surrounding, which would happen one to five minutes after finding the hint. Green were hints for sudden surprises, like a trap hidden if you lifted one of the rocks, things like that which could be used to your advantages or your enemies disadvantage.

Capture the Flag was played with all students, no matter their age or their skill level with their ability. Every month new groups were made to make sure the members of the teams changed and different abilities could be combined. Participating was not really a choice, since it was part of the compulsive program on the Academy, yet it was not without risks. The students were allowed to use their powers to the fullest, including the weapons available within the arena as well as carried weapons were allowed. Only killing, torturing and raping was not allowed during Capture the Flag. Still it was seen as mostly a fun game, a game which could teach a lot not only about yourself, but also about the other students. Now the teams of this month were;

Team one; Viriu Tapio (captain) Felix Visnjic, Leonore Rosewood, Hespera Kragh, Christian Morgan, Aislinn Reed, Soulis De Shadow, Ksenia Sol.

Team two; Alejandro Santana (captain) Tehuri Blacmore, Violette Lémineux, Zia Nykron, Kinokira Littens, Skygge Vuori, Ami, Mason Kele.

Right now the surrounding were a quiet forest, one of the most peaceful and least dangerous surroundings and therefore his favourite. Hazel brown eyes looked around suspiciously as he moved closer towards the red envelope that hung dangling from a branch just a bit away from him. The problem was that the tree it was attached to stood in the middle of a open space with nothing to hide behind. He took a sharp breath as he suddenly bolted for it, keeping as close as possible to the ground. He half expected arrows or throwing knives to fly around him or pin him to the ground, which had happened several times before, but he reached the tree in the middle without any trouble. This let relief wash over him for a short moment, before suspicion took over again. He literally hugged the tree as he stood there waiting for a sign the enemy team had seen him, but there was nothing but eerie silence around him. He stretched out his hand, biting his lip as he stood on his tiptoes, yet managed to grab the envelope. He quickly turned around, back against the tree and let himself slide down to the ground.

The moment he had opened the envelope and his eyes noticed the contents darkness surrounded him. It made it unable for him to read or see anything. “He has the envelope” A female voice shouted. It confirmed his earlier worry that the sudden darkness had brought with it, Tehuri Blacmore, the shadowwielder of them. “Leo, I could use some help here” He called out, knowing that his team mate was around somewhere. Right now he was in the most vulnerable position as he had no idea what was going on around him, except for what his ears told him. Come on, Leo, only a second of light is enough. He didn’t care in which language the letter would be since he was able to translate it anyway. My big talent, being a translater. Besides that he had a very impressive brain beneath the light brown hair, so riddles and puzzles were no problem for him.

Emerald green eyes were turned to a glare as the young woman looked around suspiciously. Are you bluffing, or is Leo really around? She had called upon the shadows that were provided to her from the thick forest to blind him. Only one look at that letter and they knew the answer to find the flag. She slowly moved in closer from the edge of the forest, but she had to sacrifice herself if that meant keeping the hint within her team. Her hand flew up to her neck as she heard a sound coming from her left and within milliseconds the black choker she wore had changed into a razor sharp silver whip. “Come out, come out, where ever you are” She chanted as she let the whip flick a bit at the command of her wrist. That was her advantage if Leo was around, the male refused to use a weapon. Noble, but foolish.

Her heels found their path effortlessly over the uneven ground as she quickly moved forward. She let the darkness fall away as she took the letter from the boys hand. “Thank you, love” She greeted as she spun around. Her long black hair danced on her back as she made her way back to the trees. Her eyes scanning over the letters that were written down. Je traverse les vitres sans les casser, qui suis-je*? “Violette..” She whispered as she recognized the French language. Nobody ever said the hints were easy and definitely not the one to find the flag. The question mark had made it pretty clear that this would be another riddle, so if Felix had seen the slightest bit of this note. They had lost and she had failed. With a soft smirk she crumbled the note and pushed it on the safest spot she could think of, between her breast and behind her corset.

Damned” Viriu Tapio hissed as he had watched the whole scene from the tree he had climbed into. Quickly the blonde male made his way down, while at the same time trying to determine where everybody was. Though he was most interested in the whereabouts about the other teacher that was participating in this game. The two of them where the team captains and mostly around to make sure nothing went too far out of hand and for the occasional moments someone went too overboard with his or her powers. That however did not mean they were not allowed to help their teams. The Finish man quickly gave up his search for the other, since his ‘radar’ was too much distracted with the dark energy from the shadow girl. He quickly let himself fall down from the tree and a bit ducked he tried to keep up with her.

He tried to estimate which way she would go before suddenly increasing his speed and purposely colliding with her. He grabbed her wrist that held the dangerous whip as he used the momentum of the fall to get on top of her. The weapon flew out of her hand and returned to his far more innocent form as soon as it had left her touch. Quickly he placed his knees on her arms to make sure she could not claw him or hit him in anyway. Give it to me He commanded as he held his own favourite weapon against her throat. It was a small innocent looking blade, but in his hand almost every object became lethal. “Come and get it yourself” was the answer he got to his words. She pushed her body up, making the sharp weapon draw some blood, yet didn’t seem to flinch. Sweet energy. Sugar! His cold blue eyes let go off the challenging emerald gaze. And poison. Even though he could not see the girls to whom these powers belonged he knew they were near. I just hope you had a glance at that paper, boy. He knew there was no chance he would get the paper, but he could keep them busy. Hopefully long enough for his team to figure out the hint and maybe even find the flag.

Totally oblivious to how close his team was to victory, a male sat crouched down next to a stream. He closed his darkbrown eyes as the cold water hit the bruised and scratched skin on his hands and arms. He scolded softly under his breath as he opened his eyes again and washed out the dirt and little stones from his collide with the ground and some prickle bushes. It weren’t serious wounds, but he rather not had them infected and right now he had the time so why not take the opportunity. He tensed as he noticed something orange like in the distance, before realizing the catgirl was on his team and he relaxed again. He sighed as he really couldn’t wait for this game to be over. Just drinking some cold beer would be nice. His head perked up again when he heard some sounds behind him. Can’t I just clean myself up in peace already? His wet fingers had moved to the shuriken that were attached to his belt.

With two shuriken ready in one hand and the other one on the ground to give himself a bit more balance he waited. The sound had been too heavy for an animal, besides in this woods were nobody but the students. Concentrating on the sounds that were clear footsteps, he suddenly pushed himself up to a stand. As he turned around, he send the shuriken in his hand flying. They were meant to either scare the other off or pin him to the big tree Skygge Vuori had spotted earlier. The boy could throw with enough precision to make sure the shuriken would only catch some clothes, instead of hurting the other one. He walked backwards through the little stream of water as his eyes focused on who ever had been stalking him from behind.

* I walk through the windows without breaking them, who am I? (Yes I know poor translation work and no I am a bitch so I will not give the answer)

Hespera loved the woods settings, it was her strongest area. She was quietly perched on branch in her raven form, she listened to the surroundings.

A fight, how fun! I should let my teammates know where I am. Incase they need help, they should know that I love this game.

She loved challenges, they were also a strong point. Or, she at least said that, last time they played she horded the final hint to herself until she solved it. That was weakness, she had to solve riddles. She let out a distinct raven croak and flapped her wings. She looked around, scanning for any of the envelopes. She moved along the branch searching for any glimpse of an envelope, any would do. She let out another croak as she continued scanning the forest. She knew she should go help, she flapped her wings as she took off towards the area she heard the fight. She spotted two figures, and caught a glimpse of the paper but, sadly she did not speak French. She croaked again as she looked at her teammate, tilting her head to the side as she moved up down the branch. She made a mental note to learn French, she spoke Danish, English, and well to nature as well. She had already tried to use this to her advantage but, the forest was not talking. She assumed this was because it all was an illusion. She flapped her wings again as she went over what she knew so far.

The note said 'Je traverse les vitres sans les casser, qui suis-je' well, les means the so, Je traverse the vitres sans the casser qui suis-je? Huh....well, that was not so helpful....wait! Traverse means travel..I think! so it has something to do with travel, possibly.....hmmmmm......travel....that could still be anything.

She pecked at the branch while she thought about the riddle.

Christian allowed his irises to wander and explore the new wooded environment. This particular environment brought a calming sense among him, while the events were only to be deemed dangerous. Amongst the clashing sound of a fight emending, Christian could hear the sounds of only one possible teammate of which he had. Hespera. Chuckling, he shook his head, stuffing his hands deep into the front pockets of his black jeans.

Shifting his gaze skyward, he caught sight of the birdlike girl of which just happened to be perched in the tree towering over him. Raising the brow of which settled itself above his right eye, he questioned her actions mentally, before parting his lips and began to speak. "Yo, Hespera! Where's everybody else?!" He hadn't seen anyone other than the clashing few, and his own teammate Hespera. Which of course, he was just now making contact with. It wasn't much he knew as of the moment, and he really needed to figure out what exactly was in the envelope she was holding. Perhaps a clue to finding the flag.

Kinokira ran over to Tehuri, out of breath from when she got there. "You find a hint?" She spoke between breaths. Running wasn't her thing, and nor were games. With the other team ahead like they were, she had a feeling they had no chance. She didn't know her classmates very well, and it hurt her in the long run. With this game, anyways. It looked as though there was a fight recently, so she went to investigate. One of her talents were listening, due to the "experiment" done on her when she was little that had given her cat ears, as well as a tail. She listened for others very carefully, waiting in the silence for anything to happen. If anyone in this team should be useful, it was her for her hearing. Although, she lacked fighting skills. It was tough on her for that very reason. The other team had fighters and all sorts of people that would promise their victory. "Where are they..." She spoke. Her only thought echoed around those words.

Alejandro sat comfortably high in a tree, strong branches supporting his weight as he rested against the trunk, an open book in hand. His eyes peered out every now and then, scanning the area. He purposefully chose a place on the outer border of the arena; the vantage point provided vast vision over the area, allowing him to keep a watchful eye should things go awry. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the trees, a nice touch to the program for added realism, he thought to himself. A dark shroud in the distance caught his attention. 'Striking first, Ms. Blacmore? I shouldn't be surprised.' His rich, Spanish accent impeded him little in his speech. He smiled to himself.

Forcing the book shut with one hand, he got to his feet easily, focusing on the field before him. He smirked, catching sight of Tehuri being pinned by the opposing team leader in a clearing near the center of the area. A compromising position to be in, but he remained confident in his team; they were fierce competitors. Adjusting his glasses slightly, he noticed a green envelope several yards below, tucked into the hollow of a rotting tree. 'Perhaps I should abandon the sidelines and join in on the fun.' He reasoned within himself. With little effort, he leaped to the ground below, bringing a hand forward to steady his land. Straightening out with a stretch, he strode to the rotting wood and procured the letter from the cavity.

A few dozen yards away, Alejandro heard the crack of branches crushed under the heels of a rapidly approaching individual. Whether friend or foe emerged from the forest was to be determined. He stood ready, his left hand behind his back, gripping tightly the handle to the scythe strapped behind him, readying it in case defending himself became necessary.

Aislinn hid among the trees, crouching low to avoid being caught by unwanted eyes. She slipped between the shadows effortlessly, using the dense underbrush to her advantage. The hot, humid air weighed her down and she swiped a casual hand over her sweaty brow. It was well into the game already and she hadn't seen a single sign of any coloured envelope. She'd avoided the other team easily enough; there was no point engaging in fruitless combat. It was better to save up her energy for when it was needed. Like when I find a damned envelope. Where the hell are they? She heaved a frustrated sigh and continued, swatting angrily at the midges that swarmed around her.

The sound of conversation to her left froze her in her tracks. Ducking behind a tree, Ash observed the scene like a conspiratorial ghost. There was Felix - with the envelope! Yes! - and then there was darkness. Before she could formulate a plan that involved more than charging blindly in like a raging bull, the shadows had slipped away along with the woman and the precious scarlet letter. She cursed colourfully.

Go big or go home, she told herself sternly, readying herself to, well, charge in like a raging bull and pull the hint out of the woman's bra if necessary. Ash was halfway to a war cry when a streak of blond was on the woman, pinning her down. Their captain. Yes. Deciding to leave Tehuri to Virui, she tore off in the direction she'd seen Felix slunk off to. This was their chance. This was their golden opportunity to win and finally get those drinks they so deserved. As the young woman sprinted through the gnarled branches, letting them whip her face without care, she felt her hopes rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Felix was smart. Felix also happened to be a translator. Felix was their hope to winning this whole thing.

As she neared the area she'd seen him disappear to, Ash couldn't help but notice the increasing darkness. Goddammit, Tehuri. Of course, it was doubtful that the woman was inducing the deep shadows - they were probably just caused by the dense leaves overhead - but Ash wanted to blame someone that didn't happen to be an imaginary Mother Nature. Unawares, she bolted past Felix, purple hair billowing like a soggy, tangled mop.

Stop running, fool! Where the hell are you even going? Annoyed with her own stupidity and inability to do anything, Aislinn stumbled to a weary stop and looked around. The entire area was murky, leaving her squinting suspiciously into every dark shadow.

"Man, where's Leo when you need him? Again?" She frowned, remembering his absence when Tehuri had ambushed Felix.

Leo had been watching Felix make a break for the center tree that held the red envelope from the surrounding line of trees. The two had spoken before he made his rushed journey toward the center tree, debating on what the best course of action would be. Together, they concluded it was important that he be the one to get the envelope and see the contents because he would understand it the moment his eyes laid upon it, no matter what. Sadly, when Felix made it to the tree with some ease, darkness surrounded him and Leo knew what that meant. Tehuri, dang it. He just needed one more second! You couldn't make it easy? Leo banged his clenched fist against his leg in the frustration, of course he wanted to win and get free drinks. After the little act of childishness, Leo started slowly making his way toward the two while taking the beams of light that came through the tree canopy and forcing them to take brighter form, preparing to save Felix from his temporary dark prison. Returning his gaze back upon Tehuri, she had pulled off her choker and held the envelope in her other hand. Impressive, he had to admit, and it put him at an obvious disadvantage. Keeping the light at the ready, he was planning to blind her with the sheer brightness in hopes that Felix would be able to take the envelope back and get the answer so they could win this game. Of course, in expected Tehuri manner, she decided to stick the note...between her breasts. Leo held his head in his hand for a moment after witnessing that then mumbled to himself. "Someone's going to have to get that from her if Felix didn't see it..." The next thing he heard was a collision and scuffle against the forest floor that made him look up and smile. Good job, Mr. Tapio! He had managed to stop Tehuri in her tracks for a moment as Leo ran his way over to Felix while lighting up the entire area they were in. "Sorry I'm late but did you see anything?" He reached his hand out to help Felix up when he spotted Ash, another teammate, charging through the clearing with fierce determination. He expected her to stop near them but blew right past. He chuckled a bit and looked at Felix, "I guess it's still a bit dark. I'll fix that in a moment." He then yelled to Ash before she got too far, "Ash! Where are you heading? I know you're supposed to avoid the light but this is different!" After that comment he made the area light up so things were clearly seen, sending an orb of light near each of his allies so Tehuri's abilities wouldn't be as much of a threat.

(Working on Zia's reply in a minute. Edit: Okay it was a bit longer than a minute x.x)

Zia had been paired off with Violette, directed by Tehuri herself to allow her to acquire the envelope from Felix. She made a convincing argument, after all, she could temporarily blind the strongest asset on the enemy team. Watching the whole ordeal take place in front of her, Zia smirked devilishly and giggled at how Tehuri was able to obtain the envelope so quickly and her tactical placement for keeping it safe. "I guess we get things easy, huh V-?" She stopped her comment short when she saw Mr.Tapio come out of nowhere and tackle Tehuri to the ground. Shit. But thankfully Tehuri wasn't one to back down and suffered a minor injury just to get out of his grasp. Teachers as captains may have seemed unfair to others but to the students of Falador, it was normal. She quickly looked at Violette, "I'll find Mr.Santana. Go back her up, we'll be back before you know it." With that, Zia increased the sugar in her blood, giving her cells the extra energy to function at higher efficiency in small bursts. She was used to this, having done it many times in her life and she bolted into the direction she remembered her captain last being, hoping he would still be there. She was looking in the tree branches when she got tripped up by a root, luckily she was able to regain balance right in front of her captain. Her face was red from the effort she exhausted and the fact that she almost face planted in front of the school's hottest teacher, well, at least to her. She caught her breath as she looked at his ready stance, prepared to pull out his scythe in time of need. She finally calmed down and placed her hand on her hip, shifting her weight to one side, "No need to worry, Mr.Santana. It's only me. Mr.Tapio is currently helping his team by fighting with Tehuri right now and I came to get you to make things even." She ended with a small smile. The game was fun and the fact that they could work together freely made it better. "I can give you a sugar rush to get there a bit faster, your call."

Hespera was so lost in her thoughts she did not hear Christian approach.

What if it doesn't mean travel....it could mean cow! Oh.....now I don't know! why did they have to make the riddle in French.......

She was surprised when Christian calling to her, she looked down. She guessed it was time to not be a raven. She flew down from her spot and transformed into her human form. She was wearing her usual black skirt, black tank top, and her green/brown headband adorned with feathers and charms. Her green eyes looked at Christian.

"Virui is fighting Tehuri. As for the others, I don't know."

She spoke with a heavy Danish accent, she tapped her chin as she realized something.

"Felix! Yes!"

She turned and ran towards the area she saw him last, where the brawl was happening. She looked about franticly, she needed to get the note from Tehuri. She didn't have her bow on her, she was going to have to go in without a weapon. A sense of relief came when she remembered Virui was fighting her. She spotted Leo, 4 against one, she knew the odds would be in the favor of her team. She looked at Christian then at Leo.

"Come on you two, we need to help Virui."

She grabbed a rock, right now she would a twig and a handful of moss as a weapon. She readied herself in case any of members of the other team showed up.

Kinokira looked around her in the chaos, she closed her icy blue eyes to shut out what was going on. Chaos, a word she was familiar with but hated with a passion. The team was scattered, and she wished they weren't. 'Teams work better as a- shocker- team.' She thought, shaking her head as the other team had an advantage, and decided to look around for another clue. In her loneliness, she spoke to herself in her light British accent. "Stupids... Why must they split up? There is no harm in working together. That's right. Together. But then again, I have a hard time with that too... Kiki your going to be found by the other team and looked at as a freak... Again." With talking to herself, she made movements with her hands and pointed her ears back in frustration. She created a small black bird, blowing off time and trying to calm herself with the sight of nature. It flew around her hand in a few swift moments, then disappeared in a small puff of black smoke. She lifted her ears, and relaxed. Her mood sometimes flipped on her, turning from happy to depressed. Right now, she was in her relaxed state. The medication that she thought helped her, sometimes made her mood worse. For now, it helped her in the day. She didn't completely feel like a freak like she normally did. All she needed to do, was find a clue and return to the team to help her find out what it meant for the game, right? For the time being, she was wandering quite carelessly. In that moment, anything could happen. But, she chose not to think about it.

His muscles relaxed as Zia stumbled out of the brush, releasing his grip on the scythe and adjusting his glasses. Listening intently to her logic, he tucked the book he was reading into the gap of the rotting wood. Twisting the green envelope in his fingers, he approached Zia, still catching her breath.

His hazel eyes peered through the forest as he spoke, keeping an eye out for enemies. "It will be more beneficial for you to save your energy for the time being; the game is still far from over. Besides," he added, returning his gaze upon her, "I've seen the way you provide a 'sugar rush', as you so eloquently put it..." He let the sentence trail off, a smirk gracing his features. "Let's see what information this card has to offer." He said, raising the green envelope to eye level. Removing the small note inside, he read it aloud.

"Enemies make bitter liars, but the Naked Berry below will make them bitter truth tellers, for a bit."
Spinning on his heels, he returned to the rotted wood, Zia following behind. Crouching down, one could see a cluster of small-leafed plants, thriving in the moist soil under the rotting trunk. "Naked Berry." He heard Zia utter under her breath. Alejandro picked what he could manage and handed them to Zia. "Don't let the enemy get their hands on these, they're a valuable tool." He straightened up before placing a hand on Zia's shoulder, a concerned expression washing over his face. "Are you okay, Zia? You look flushed." His voice betrayed his concern. It was to be expected of Mr. Santana; ensuring his students were well was his number one priority, after all.

Aislinn was seconds away from slamming her hand into a nearby tree trunk in frustration when an all too familiar voice wafted out of the darkness, followed by a floating little ball of light. Despite the suffocating heat and the stress of the game, she found her lips tugging into some semblance of a smile. It was so typical of Leo to be cracking lame jokes at times like these that it was difficult to stay mad at him for long. Snorting softly, she cupped the glowing orb in her hand and turned around to face him where he stood with Felix, fixing a brilliant blue gaze on the duo.

Deciding to lighten the mood some herself, she chanted the melody from one of those stereotypical Disney Princess movies, almost embarrassed to admit that she remembered the lyrics. "And at last I see the light and it's like a fog has lifted. And at last I see the light..." (Tangled reference for the win! xD ) Ash grinned and tossed the sphere of light over her shoulder, letting it hover overhead like a lightbulb. She pointed a finger up and winked, striding towards her teammates with a furious eagerness. "Yeah, I know. I'm just full of brilliant ideas." She let out a bark of laugher, and added, "Literally."

She clapped both boys on the shoulder in a show of camaraderie, letting her expression drop into dead seriousness. Her eyes, however, twinkled with amusement and fun. "So boys, let's talk business. First things first, Felix." She snapped her head towards him, sapphire pools alive with hope and determination. Please, please let him have seen something. Anything. Despite the roiling sea of emotions inside, Aislinn kept her cool exterior and continued. "Did you get a glimpse at the hint? Is there anything Leo or I can help you with?"

Feeling mischievous, she turned to Leo and added sarcastically, "Of course, assuming neither of us marches into the light." Despite her reunion with her teammates, Ash knew better than to let her guard down. This game was war and she'd treat it as war deserved to be treated, with constant vigilance. Immediately, she scoffed and lifted her lips into a half-smile. I'm such a drama queen. She let her eyes roam the area, pausing on dense undergrowth and deep shadows, ready to pounce should anything so much as twitch.

It didn't take long for the leaves on the opposite side of the stream to rustle. Casually, Aislinn took note of the clear skies and windless forest.
Someone's there. Wordlessly, she caught Leo's and Felix's gaze and the trio shared a nod of understanding. She bunched up, muscles taut, like a cat ready to spring. Excitement surged through her. She'd been left out of the action almost this entire game, running around like a headless chicken. A fight was precisely what she was looking for. Her heart pounded and blood sang in her ears to the beat of war drums. Bring it on.

Christian couldn't help but blow his breath and begin thinking upon his own accord. Hespera was correct. They were a team and when help was needed, it was to be provided. Scoffing just a bit from his somewhat emotionally laziness, he watched quietly with a more so curious gaze upon his facade while she ran off. He strolled casuallyt behind at her lead, taking his right hand to prepare for enemy contact. In doing so, his hand laid protectively upon the blackened sword of which was located at the side of his body. He kept it there for a better way to extract it within the cases of an emergency. "Lead as you must, Hespera."

(Sorry for short post, multitasking)

Ami was glad the terrain was simply a peaceful forest. Probably just for the beginning to get everyone a little more accustomed to things perhaps? She noticed most of her group was indeed, split up. She was perfectly fine with that tactic however. Given she seemed to be alone at the moment, she took the time to become one with her surroundings. The breeze was soft and she could hear the rustling of the trees. Come to think of it, do I even know the people on my team? Most of them I've only seen a few times. She exhaled a sigh, cursing herself for not being a little more social. On the bight side I havn't been spotted. Yet. Her katanas were sheathed, strapped onto her back for easy access. she stalked through the forest, eventually she caught the sight of ears. A neko? She had often taken a liking to them in story books. Wasn't a neko on my team? She came a bit closer to get a closer look. "Ne-Kinokira." She whispered, having to stop herself from saying Neko-chan. "Any hints?" She breathed. "You looked quite content for the moment." @FlameintheRoses

She looked behind her to see Ami, a girl she's seen in the school somewhere but never made contact with. Well, she didn't make contact with anyone in the starting year. Kinokira spoke in her British accent, as well as in a whisper. "No luck, and yes, I've just calmed down over..." She cut herself off for a second. Just thinking about herself or her past made her unhappy. "Nevermind. How about you? Any luck?" A heart warming smile crept onto her face as to be kind towards others. Her ears were left at a slacking state, and her tail slacked down, but kept from hitting the ground. The grass wasn't a very nice feeling against the fur, but the morning dew felt nice.

Ksenia Sol "Kenz"

An object that looked human but almost moved faster then the human eye could take in moved threw the woods. the blur stopped behind a tree. She breathed a sigh and looked around the figure wasn't to far from her capture the flag team. She was definitely silent and quite as she moved.

Her enhanced vision made her able to see better in the forest. The figure made her way to the where the leader of her group was. She saw her chance to change into her wolf form no one was around.

She looked around in her wolf form and made her way to Viriu. She stayed back slightly, but growled and showed her teeth. Her eyes were sharp as a tack. She didn't miss a thing. She had seen Hespera in the tree in her raven form. She didn't miss a thing.

This figure who had been walking through the woods and transformed into a wolf. Was a small Russian girl with a bit of a sarcasm. She could be out going or moody. But the moody came with her power. She was known as Kenz but her Full Name was Ksenia Sol.

Ksenia was now near her leader in her wolf form. It was easier then walking. Though most underestimated her. Even when she had been in the sun the sun just made her irritable and yes visibly weaker. She however didn't take much lying down. She waited for her leader to notice her and give her a command since she was here any way.

Mason pushed back her now, mostly slick, black hair. Cut to just below her ears, her skin was a light tan shade. The forest around her was no issue, her body like a ghost in such a natural setting. Passing through the thicket and vines, her abilities were helpful in avoiding conflict, yet like so many times, she sought it out. Passing through a small tree, she felt for her boot, holding one of her two tribal blades.

The hilt made from caribou leather, lined with wolf bone, tampering into an iron tip. She knew the rules. Don't kill anyone, torture, ect, but it wasn't like she saw the big deal. If a student at this school couldn't take up a good fight and push on till the end, how did they plan on surviving life? Life is merciless, taking no mercy. And she rather liked it.

Focusing on the world around her, she noticed a rather dangerous looking wolf. Lovely. She knew of no werewolf being on her side and quickly sank back into the brush, clenching her blade. Though her smile quickly grew, their beside the little pup, was Viriu. She knew she couldn't take them both. In order to let herself pass through objects, she had to at least know they were there. One opponent was easy enough, but a second presented an issue. Though she couldn't help but smile thinking of how their blood would look dripping down their skin, or in the wolf's case. Fur.

His hazel eyes were fixed on where his hands should be the whole time. Suddenly the darkness fell away and Felix had no idea if that was thanks to Leo or a spill up from the girl that immediately stole the paper from his fingers. He watched how she pushed the paper between her breasts, of course. It didn't matter as his brain was working quickly. He half noticed how a blond man took down Tehuri brutally, he half shocked when Leo's voice was suddenly next to him and something, or better said someone, bolted right past them. Je traverse les vitres sans les casser, qui suis-je? He opened his mouth to say something as he heard a familiar sound from steel meeting wood, before the purple haired girl had returned. He rolled his eyes as she took up the moss and stone for weapons, sure mister Tapio was far outnumbered, but he could handle it. I walk through the windows without breaking them, who am I? Otherwise it would be a nice distraction. It wasn't until that moment that he noticed all eyes were on him, but judging by the earlier sounds not only his team was close. "No, I didn't see it" He said with a face that didn't betray anything, as well as dismissing several solutions that came to mind. Walk through windows without breaking... shadows.. no, too many of them in a forest. He blinked his eyes again to focus on what was going on around. He noticed how Viriu bolted away from the woman he was sitting on. "Let's regroup" He announced a bit more loudly than necessary in the hope the ones close to him would understand. Ghosts are also impossible.. He looked at the blonde male when suddenly the answer came to his mind. Light of course. "Back to base" He said, since that was not far from them anyway and gave them a bit of an overview over the whole arena since it was a little house, well more decaying shed, placed on a hill. The other team had the same base, on the other side of the arena with the exact same advantages and disadvantages.

Ice blue was fixed into the emerald green. It would be highly inappropiate to take the note just like that. But she asked for it. And they needed the distraction. "You know I never reject a challenge" Viriu replied with a smirk. He had noticed Mason close and hoped she would take on the other girl present. He suddenly moved his weight forward, his hand slipping underneath the crimson red corset and touching more than just paper, before pulling back. He instantly shoot away, keeping the crumbled note in his hand and his weapon in the other. He could hear Felix' voice calling for a regroup and changed his direction towards the enemies base. One for all and all for one. Even the tone in his thought was sarcasting as he felt something curling around his ankle. He hissed at the sharp pain as the ground was cruel in its catch. He rolled onto his back, knowing the whip would not let him go that easy. "Pervert" She scolded, sending more darkness around him. The little light orb that undoubtly had been send by Leo kept him compagny however as he tore the note into tiny little pieces. "Want it back?" He asked and blew the pieces towards the obvious angry woman. Well at least now everyone will be screwed, if Felix did not read it. He felt how the whip let go of his flesh and immediately got back on his feet. It was painful, but there was no time for to waste at the moment. Healing could happen at a later point and he had learned how to ignore any pain. He searched refugee into the underbush where her whip would be useless at least, before climbing into a tree whenever he saw the change.

The fingers on her skin were cold and Tehuri immediately reacted when the weight was lifted from her arms. Her finger tips found the choker, before she set in the chase. Trees made it hard, but still she send the silver forward and felt satisfied by the hiss that was followed by a thud. Her words had formed some words as her free hand called upon the shadows to grow stronger around the male. She knew about his fear of the darkness, but that little brat kept her from that please. I will have you pay for this, Leonore. She watched the paper snow make its way to the ground as she moved back the whip to take it for a second swing. French might not be her strongest language but she knew the words. "Get back here!" She screamed as she followed him. Within her bloodlust however took over as his sweet scent had been set free. She fought for control and came to a stop. It took a lot of her energy to go against her will of chasing him down and she turned around as shiver ran up an down her spine. "Violette, we need Violette" She said out loud in order to focus her thoughts. Je traverse les vitres sans les casser, qui suis-je? She could not forget that line, it was important. She repeated the sentence over and over in her head, yet the smell of blood seemed to grow stronger and stronger and so did the thirst within her. "Mr. Santana..." It was nothing but a mutter as her power started to get the control over her, since the darkness was suddenly so much more alluring and comfortable.

The shuriken had found their peace deep within the bark of an oak tree as the purple haired girl had suddenly came to a stop, before returning to where ever she came from. Skygge didn't make a sound as he moved back to take his shuriken out of the tree, with a bit of effort. He could hear Leonores voice and not much later Aislinns voice joined in to ask someone if he gotten the hint. Why does this all have to take so much time... He moved closer to the voice so he could also make the words out a bit better and hopefully steal the hint and maybe even its solution. However he could feel the tension in the air change as he moved closer and it sure as hell was no sexual tension. He kept his shuriken at ready, knowing that at least both males were unarmed. Still three to one, yet he didn't want to let it come to a fight. That was just not the kind of thrill and adrenaline he liked. You are lying, Felix Visnjic. The defeated undertone was missing to the boys voice. The words that followed worried him more. "Shit" He said out loud, since they would have found him anyway. He was literally between them and their base. Let's see if we can make this somewhat fun. The shuriken had disappeared to their usually place among his belt as he moved forward and randomly grabbed two of the tree. "You should learn to appreciate eachother more" He spoke as he let the feeling of lust set free. At least it would bring things down to one opponent since the other two would temporarily far too busy with each other. Letting one of them go his free hand quickly took the shuriken again, making the other lust for a moment longer than his first victim, awkward.

Over what? Hmm...best not to press. It is nice however that she seems happy now. "Unfortunately I don't bring good news. I've had no luck either. I'll be honest and admit I don't know a lot of people yet; including people on our team." Ami had to hold back the urge to touch her ears and tail. She desperately wanted to ask if she had been born with them or not, but figured it would be a touchy topic if the answer were not, so she didn't ask. Instead she let the curiosity burn throughout her. In time Ami, answers always reveal themselves. "It seems as though we are all split up. Maybe we should stick together and try to find some hints?" She suggested. She sort of felt like the leaders must be doing a lot of the finding. She never considered herself one to be competitive unless called upon. However she simply hoped she could be of some use. If she wasn't this time, she would be eventually she figured. She had honestly never even played capture the flag, so everything was new. @FlameintheRoses

Her gaze was around the forest, still listening but didn't look like it. "That is unfortunate." Kinokira spoke with distance in her voice, but spoke clearly in her next statement. Only, she noticed that Ami's focus was on her ears and tail. 'Let it be, Kiki. It doesn't bother you.' The reminders of that thought floated in her mind, so she wouldn't loose focus. "I think that's a lovely idea, sticking together. As long as we don't get jumped, we'll be fine. You see, I'm no fighter." She showed her pocketknife, but quickly put it away in fear of accidently cutting herself. Fears. All that was stored in her timide being. Afraid of her past, afraid of closed in spaces. 'Yes... Don't get caught so you don't get uncomfortable. Logic.' The thought stuck in the bad of her mind.

Her tail flicked, curling close to her body, and her ears stayed the same way they were before. Slack at the sides of her head. The breeze was slow, almost relaxing. But, there was no time for relaxation in these woods. Even though it was a game, capture the flag seemed to be intense in this school. Most of the students played along, and some were forced. Including her, which she didn't like in any way. All she wanted right now was to be alone in a room listening to her music. @NyxNightmare

(It must have been moon glow, way up in the blue. )

(It must have been moon glow, that led me straight to you)

A woman's voice drifted through the thick, uninhabited forest, luring any lost wanderer closer with each word.

It held a stillness to it.

Elegance and security was entwined in those gentle tones, adding a small mystery waiting to be solved. The curve of her body sank into the hard core of an oak tree. She had her fingertips tapping against the branches beneath, each small poke causing the green leaves to shiver to the beat. Her eyes were closed in relaxation while she hummed a sweet tune. There was a woman's voice yelling out somewhere within the fading treeline. She opened a single eye, revealing an iris swirling with colors of lilac purple. When the voice grew louder, both of her eyes fluttered open. Her red lips curled into a beautiful smile as the song she had sung began to end.

"Well..." A thick French accent escaped from her mouth. She slid down from the tall branch above, and landed below without stumbling. Her flowing black hair rustled gently in the cool air, settling along her spine. The woman's posture straightened to a normal stance as she stared towards the direction of the upcoming sound. A stunningly angelic purple liquid began to drip down from her soft fingernails and to the ground. It soaked into the dirt, turning all plant life or bug near it into a sizzling black goo. The substance soon became more abundant, falling like a dangerous waterfall. It began to form into the shape of a weapon.

In seconds, a fully equipped sword was rested carefully in the woman's hand. It's hilt was an eerie black color, and the blade itself a shining purple. She gripped it tightly, beginning to make her way through the dense undergrowth. The once distant voice was now just up ahead. Not a single hint of alarm shown in her gaze.

Violette pushed through the heavy shrubbery and appeared behind a woman. She seemed to almost be panicking, but on a calmer level. The French woman wove around her side and placed herself in front of Tehuri.

"Ah! Mademoiselle Tehuri!" Her words soon ended, however, when she saw the condition of her teammate. Violette stepped back a bit, her lilac hued eyes growing worried.

"Are you quite alright? You look flustered, chérie (darling)."

She watched as he relaxed in front of her with almost no reaction to her news. He was playing with a green envelope, so a little gift must have been hidden nearby. Still standing with her weight to one side, she fixed her hair as he started to speak before she returned her attention to him with a playful smile, "Oh there's nothing to worry about, it doesn't hurt or anything and it's not like I do anything bad." Her tongue slightly stuck out as she ended with a playful tone before becoming serious again with a flick of her wrist, "You're right though, we should conserve energy. I hope that envelope shows us something good." She waited for him to read its contents. Oo I could think of a lot of personal uses for these berries. Her mind instantly went to what fun knowledge she could acquire from the berries when she was interrupted by Mr.Santana's voice while he gave her the berries to hold. "Understood. They'll be safe with me." She took them and put them in the zip up pocket of her hoodie. The contact and genuinely concerned words flustered her a bit, she was embarrassed that she made him worry. She took a quick breath as she broke from her frozen stance, walking backward slowly to her old location. "Uh-I- Yeah, I'm really fine, Mr.Santana, no worries. We really should be getting back to everyone though because I can only imagine what's happened since we've been here." She waited for him to start following her before she picked up the pace. This time she ran normally, avoiding the roots and brush on the way. "We need to be ready for anything, I highly doubt that the small battle has ended so easily but Tehuri can handle herself, luckily."

Leo was smiling brightly when Ash had brought his little orb of light back to him with a smile of her own. He was glad to be able to make a smile appear on her face in such an intense time. Her snort was a surprise but it made him chuckle nonetheless, it was a relief to hear and he couldn't help but let that chuckle turn to a laugh when she started singing. He pointed at himself to carry on her playfulness, letting himself shine for a split second, "This light will make sure you see him, he's taking out all of the fog." He was then graced with the chance to see and listen to the most carefully thought out joke of all time and he laughed again, leaning against the nearby tree. "Absolutely brilliant, I'm sure." Straightening up at her words, he looked over to Felix with hope for an answer, only to be disappointed. Why would he ever think Felix would lie to him? There was no reason to, they were playing to win after all. Ash decided to pick at him again for his earlier joke that he thought was pretty clever, but obviously must have been silly. He decided to pick back, "Marching into me only ensures comforting warmth, promise." He then became serious again at Felix's tone. He was obviously thinking about something and wanted to talk about it in a safe place. Felix was looking at his surroundings with such care, like he was searching for an answer and had come upon it after a moment. "Sure, let's get going." Leo turned to see how Mr.Tapio was holding up to see that he was being attacked by Tehuri again. He threw shreds of something at her, and Leo figured it was the note and he smiled. Good job yet again, Mr.Tapio. He could see the injury that his teacher had sustained and knew that the small light source was keeping him safe from her shadows. Leo pulled some more of the light breaking the forest canopy and added two more light orbs to Mr.Tapio's protection, the third one being extra small and becoming a ring of light around his ankle to give it small recovering properties. He gave his teacher a nod before turning with Felix and Ash. "Alright now we should be good to go."

"Oh there's nothing to worry about, it doesn't hurt or anything and it's not like I do anything bad."

Her reply painted a slight smirk on his face. He, of course, had seen the students use their abilities first-hand; it was an integral part of his teaching process, to become acquainted with each students unique ability and understand the triggers that could cause them to become uncontrollable. Zia was no exception to the process, and he preferred keeping a professional distance from his students. No doubt, Zia was a beautiful girl, but he had more important matters to attend.

"Agreed, we should regroup with the other members. At least one red envelope should've been discovered by now. We don't have time to waste."

The foliage was dense with underbrush, making the trek slow and arduous. His eyes and ears continually scanned their surroundings as they continued along. Even being away from the other members of the enemy team, remaining perceptive was paramount. A single discovered blue envelope could change the entire dynamic of the arena, and awareness could mean the difference between being stuck in an unfavorable situation or gaining the advantage over the opponent. He had made sure his students understood this, Alejandro always ensuring they were well equipped to handle not only the dangers in training, but out in the real world as well.

Without warning, a sinking feeling began to form in the pit of his stomach. He paused a moment, holding his arm out to interrupt Zia's progress as well. This was not the first time such a feeling overwhelmed him... he craned his neck and locked eyes with Zia.
"Something's wrong. We need to move. Quickly." He demanded, bounding off through the thicket, pushing himself off the trees as he descended the downward sloping ground. He leaped over a fallen tree with ease, an anxious countenance gracing his normally stoic features.

'Tehuri...' Somehow, he knew. He prayed he would arrive quick enough.

Aislinn raised her eyebrows skeptically and smiled at Leo's feeble attempt to tease her back. "Comforting warmth? I reckon I'd break my nose on those rock hard abs of yours." She let out another low chuckle at her shameless comment and pushed sweaty curls of purple from her eyes before fixing Felix with a sharp cobalt gaze. She didn't know him well enough to be able to read into his expressions or subtle hints, but the intensity of his stare seemed to speak for itself. His request to go back to base only confirmed her suspicions. They had no reason to head back to base. Scouting the area from higher altitudes was useless with the dense tree canopy. He was obviously trying to tell them something; Ash just couldn't figure out what it was. She frowned, narrowing her eyes at the brown-haired boy in frustrated confusion.

Her befuddlement was quickly remedied by a voice that sprang out of the darkness. She whipped around, barely managing to catch a glimpse before the person streaked past her and grabbed hold of Leo and Felix. Immediately, they gravitated towards one another, longing and desire eclipsing all other emotions in their eyes. The reached for one another, completely engrossed and lost in lust.

"Oh my God, someone needs to record this," she muttered, face scrunched up with the effort of not breaking out into fits of laugher. The normally quiet Felix was blatantly grabbing for Leo, making heart eyes and practically panting. It was a strange sight, one she'd probably never get the chance to see ever again. Regret at not having proof of this event momentarily washed over her before logic won out. Focus, idiot. Too distracted to focus properly, Aislinn foolishly let herself watch the spectacle for a moment longer, almost missing the gleam of Skygge's shuriken.

With a sharp intake of breath, she drew her own blades, shaken by how close she'd come to being skewered if he'd taken advantage of her distractedness. With a smirk, Ash fell into her usual facade. "Thanks for coming! Now I've got blackmail material against those two. Maybe they'll finally stop stealing my desserts at dinner." She grinned wider and raised her blades in greeting. "Maybe I'll send you a thank you card when this is all over. Or..." She trailed off, taking a tentative step forwards. Electric blue eyes fixed on Skygge as she recited the rules they'd learnt in class. If you have the element of surprise, use it. A second later, and without warning, Aislinn lunged. "Or you could just buy me those drinks when you lose!"

For the time being, she relied on her weapons, lunging and feinting as she'd been taught. Save your abilities for when you truly need them. Do not exhaust yourself needlessly. One of his shurikens nicked her in the side and she bit her lip. Blood oozed, staining her shirt.

"That was my favourite shirt, dammit," she growled, catching him on the cheek with her blade before she followed up with a knee to his stomach. She hoped Leo would blind their assailant. This fight was pointless. His presence evidently meant he'd been shadowing them, hoping they'd figure out the answer to the riddle. They needed out of this brawl and focus on what was important - the clue.

Mason knowing the risk of facing a wolf with her blades wad to great. She would be put dangerously close to the jaws of the beast and that was truly no way to fight.

Headinf down the hillside she spotted her frantic team captain and a team mate, whom she did not recognize. Faces were not her concern at this school. Skidding to a flustering hault, she nearly tripped, before catching herself on a waivering tree branch.

What ever was on his mind, it must have been important, for his expression was quite fearful. Not taking time for inteoductions she took to his flank, keeping up with her captain. @Bullet
