Ira stands at a height of 6ft 2 and has a very lithe and toned build, carved and shaped through his wild upbringing with his father Agares. Ira's body was shaped through the rigorous training he was forced to go through, such as free climbing a mountain, tree hopping and sitting under a waterfall for days on end. Ira rarely had the opportunity to cut his hair and after letting it grow to such a length had opted to keep it this way. He has long since forgotten how it felt to have short hair. His hair is a dark brown almost reddish color and extends past his waist, it is almost always tied up into a pony tail. His face has a serious mold to his features which often times makes him look far more intense then he actually is. Ira has an almost purple hue to his eyes which tend to blend in well with his reddish hair.
Ira normally wears a black and crimson Yaori adorned with maple patterning, his attire is very loose, often revealing a large portion of his chest, There are two main reason's why he walks around exposing his chest, despite societies standards. The first is due to the type of magic he utilizes; as a Solar Dragon Slayer, Ira uses magic pertaining to the Sun's powers thus during the day he feels more at ease when basking in the light of the sun. Much like a plant would use photosynthesis, Ira body (his skin) had adapted a similar function. The second reason is due to his upbringing in the wild as well as his combat style requiring more ease of movement. Ira does not care for the flashy accessories that many people often wear, his body almost completely devoid of any form of jewelry and fashion. Aside from a few scars, he has no really noticeable blemishes on his skin.
Ira's Guild tattoo location is located along the top of his right arm just beneath the shoulder blade. It is normally a shade of orange, however when exposed to the sunlight, it burst into a vibrant array of orange, red and yellow to reflect his powers.
'Born' in the year X762, Ira like most dragon slayers was an orphan raised in isolation by a dragon parent. His origins and the specifics around his birth were left unclear, his dragon parent -The Great Dragon Agares- never really going into any detail about where he really came from; not that Ira really cared, simply accepting whatever lie he was given. For several long years, the pair remained deep within the mountains, Agares doing his best to act as a fatherly figure to Ira whilst still proceeding with his mission; training Ira in the ways of Dragon Slayer Magic or more specifically, Solar Dragon Slaying Magic. For the years the pair spent in isolation, Ira became well versed in the use of his magic as well as being able to hunt and fed for himself. Agares was a strong believer in 'throwing his son into the fire' so to speak, often disappearing for days on end and thus forcing Ira to go hunt and fend for himself in the wilderness believing that this was the best way to prepare his adopted son for their eventual 'separation'. Though not once did Agares truly venture far, always remaining close enough to intervene should Ira face any real danger.
Eventually, the faithful day 'July 7th' of the year X777 arrived; the day that would soon come to affect every Dragon Slayer. At first, Ira had assumed this to be another of Agares's disappearing act's, one that he had performed countless times before when he had wanted Ira to practice surviving on his own, however after two months of being left alone in the forest, Ira begun to grow suspicious as well as worried. Agares had never been gone for such an extended period of time nor had he ever left without leaving some kind of clue. Worried for his father, Ira scoured the mountains for any signs of him, venturing far and wide from their home in order to search for his father yet never once digging up any real clues about his whereabouts. This lack of success eventually drove Ira out of the forest and into the modern day civilization; his first experience with another person.
To everyone else he was a lunatic, a crazed person from outside of the city that was potentially high on some illegal substance, his ramblings about a dragon parent as well as his roughed up attire doing little to convince them otherwise. No sane person would ever believe that a dragon still existed, that a mighty beast of such great reputation would manage to go unnoticed in today's day and age. What reason did they have to believe him? This was a stranger from outside spouting nothing but drivel... yet he was still a stranger that the local authorities could not subdue. For obvious reasons, the local authorities were called in to subdue him; a 'crazy person' was a threat to any ordinary civilian and a threat that had to be removed, however they were simply unable to apprehend someone of his ability. Ira for the most part had managed to evade capture, his wild fighting style and his 'unique' magic had made him a difficult 'criminal' to capture, the several attempts to capture him resulting in several heavily damaged villages.
Desperate to get rid of this nuisance, a mission request was soon posted with a reward granted to those able to stop him and turn him over to the mage council, a mission request that was ultimately accepted by one of the leading guilds at the time. A fight ensued near the outskirts of Magnolia, three highly experienced mages having been sent out to stop Ira. Not only was their teamwork near perfect and their plan flawless, the three mages where simply too powerful in their own rights. Any one of them would have been able to single-handedly stop Ira, though doing so would have resulted in a lot of collateral damage. Eventually Ira was pushed to the point of exhaustion, collapsing on the ground and becoming unable to continue his fight. Defeated and Captured, Ira was on the verge of being handed over to the Magic Council, however call it fate, Ira was spared this fate. The guild master of Fairy Tail; 'Astrid' gave him a choice, either he could become a member of the guild Fairy Tail whilst still having the freedom to search for Agares while simultaneously working to pay off the damages he caused, or he could pay for his 'crimes' by being turned over to the Magic Council and potentially lose any chance of finding Agares.
Ira has now spent three long years with the guild, managing to integrate himself into their unique group; though he still retains a few quirks from having grown up the majority of his life without other humans. Upon meeting him, it becomes rather apparent how different his mannerisms and etiquette is compared to the others. During those three years, the closes Ira has ever gotten to finding out information about Agares was the acquisition of the Solar Dragon Lacrima, having paid an over inflated price for the item after being swindled by the salesman. Whilst the seller was honest about the Lacrima containing power, he had added a lie pertaining to its false ability to grant its owner memories of the dragon.
A man with whom you would be able to place your complete trust with, Ira is a cup half empty someone who has yet to reach his peak as a mage. Always willing to prove his worth, Ira will always attempt to take on the challenging missions seeing them as a test of strength, as well as an opportunity for him to grow as both a human and as a wizard, though despite this selfish goal of his he will never overlook the much simpler missions in favor of the more challenging ones; he does what he must and takes full responsibility in regards to upholding the image of magi and Magician guilds. His methods however may seem rather odd and inefficient due to his upbringing however he means well and will put maximum effort into accomplishing the job regardless of its scale. Ira also prefers the missions that will take him to places he has never been before, not only does he enjoy seeing the new sights and sounds of new places, but he also hopes that they may contain clues and information to the whereabouts of his missing father Agares.
A human in body but a dragon at heart, Ira sometimes struggles to conform to the requirements of society; for example he would much rather NOT use a spoon and fork despite common etiquette dictating it as the social norm. He also prefers to wear loose clothing, despite the situation requiring a nice tuxedo and tie. Don't expect a well mannered goody two shoes when you first meet Ira, his father and his species were not well known for their mannerism's. Despite his recklessness and dragon upbringing, Ira does have the patience to rival even the oldest of sages. Whilst he does enjoy a good old fashioned scuffle among the other guild mates, he does realize that some circumstances require a more level headed approach and a quick resolution to the argument. This doesn't necessarily mean that he is able to stop the fight with words and has often times found himself becoming the target of both parties involved.
The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Agares as well as the lack of information surrounding his human parents has left him rather protective of those that he cares about. Friends, family and guild mates alike, Ira does not wish to loose a single person ever again and will push himself to the utmost limits of his abilities in order to protect them. This applies to individuals who he may not actually like, they may be assholes but he will extend his hand out to them should the need arise.
Ira, though reluctant to ever admit it does have a bit of darkness within him. During times of distress or moments where he 'stumbles' in his search for Agares, Ira often times begins to question himself; wondering whether or not he was the reason that Agares had left, wondering if Agares was not satisfied with his progress in the arts of Solar Dragon Slaying Magic and had ultimately given up on him. This darkness that lingers within himself has begun to nurture this 'need for approval'. Moments where his magic falters and hinders the group will also leave him tithering on the edge. There have been moments where he has even considered the possibility of being disposed of by Fairy Tail, should he ever fail a mission. In this sense, he can be mentally fragile.
Ira's Opinion on the Guild
Ira considers the guild to be his new home and the current place he belongs. He does not know much about their past, having grown up in the forest with Agares, however he strongly believes that they are a 'just' guild and the best place for himself to be in, whilst he searches for clues about Agares. He is greatly thankful for the way that the members had helped him integrate not only into their ranks, but into society as well. Ira would protect Fairy Tail with his life if needed.
Likes
1. Clear Sunny Skies for obvious reasons
2. Being in high places It is not rare to find him up a tree or lounging about on a roof somewhere. Perhaps its because of his Dragon Upbringing or affinity for the Sun, but the higher Ira is, the calmer and more 'at home' he feels
3. Meat. A predator at heart, Ira enjoys a good succulent steak or fresh crispy chicken. Ira goes as far as to hunt his own wild game to satisfy his hunger. The cheaper the meat is as well, the better. It means he can eat more. Quantity > Quality.
4. A nice warm bath. The only bath he can actually have, given his naturally warm state, any body of water he enters just so happens to become a nice warm sauna.
Dislikes
1. Ira dislikes anything that blocks out the sun, whether it be a cloudy sky or an eclipse. Similar to how he is in the night, Ira does feel weaker during the moments where he isn't in direct contact with the sun
2. Modes of Transportation / Getting Sick. Ira absolute loathes having to enter any form of vehicle, given that 10 times out of 10 he ends up feeling sick. Not only does it feel awful, he finds it rather embarrassing.
3. Vegetables. Yuck, when have you ever heard about a vegetarian Dragon?
4. Ira dislikes any negativity that surrounds those that he cares about, mainly the guild. He hates how quick the public are to judge them when they go a bit 'over the top'. He also hates how quickly they come flocking to them when its convenient for them. True friends and allies stick with you through thick and thin, not when its convenient for them.
Character Strengths
1. Self sufficient in the wild. Like any dragon slayer, Ira is rather able to feed. Not only is he well versed in what is edible and inedible in the wild, Ira can simply absorb nutrients from the sun via photosynthesis.
2. Ira is rather thick when it comes to normal human etiquette, thus this also makes him rather immune to 'mental' type of attacks that involve others, he is not as easily swayed by his emotions in this regard and can still think of a proper strategy
3. An extension of the above, Ira's 'outside and wild' upbringing also helps him think outside of the box. Where most people born and raised in a society may be limited to thinking within the 'norm', Ira's wild lifestyle can help him formulate plans that others may not even consider
Character Weakness
1. Ira can be manipulated rather easily in regards on how to act 'normally'. He does not understand or grasp the majority of 'rules' that people must abide to in society and is rather naive, thus he can be taken advantage of by both friend and foe.
2. Struggles to conform to societies expectations. Given his upbringing, Ira struggles to adapt to the 'more civilized' lifestyle of the city folk. He fails to recognize basic common etiquette and may sometimes come off as being rather rude and blunt. He does not understand the need to 'mince words' and will just be painfully straight forward.
3. His lack of mannerism's and etiquette may potentially anger most people and put him in a bad spot. He could potentially anger and make more enemies without meaning to
4. Ira sort of stands out in the crowd, being rather tall and dressing rather 'weirdly', he often sticks out like a sore thumb. A weakness when trying to remained unnoticeable.
Magic Ability
Solar Dragon Slayer Magic
A type of Dragon Slayer Magic that grants the user various characteristics typical of a Solar Dragon: lungs capable of producing beams of solar energy, scales that grant protection against fire and heat in general. Consequently, Solar Dragon Slayer Magic allows Ira to cover parts of his body in golden solar energy which can be used both in melee and as a ranged form of offense. The generated solar energy can be manipulated in a wide variety of ways both offensively and defensively. Ira's body temperature is capable of melting iron, burning off poison and stigmata s as well as creating small gravitational fields to a very limited extent.
He is also immune to both fire and heat based attacks as well as being highly resistant to cold.
Ira can consume solar energy in a similar fashion to photosynthesis. Small orbs of golden light will enter his mouth as he 'consumes' the energy from the sun. Consuming this element will restore his body to a healthy state and regain his reserves of strength. Due to being a solar dragon, he is far stronger during the day then he is at night, however how much weaker he is is dependent on the size of the moon. He is relatively stronger during a full moon then he would be during a crescent moon as more of the sun's light is reflected towards the earth. Likewise, should the sun be blocked by anything, i.e. the Clouds or an Eclipse, then Ira would find his strength begin to wane.
Level of Expertise
Ira is well practiced in his use of magic as well as close quarters combat. He is proficient in mix martial arts, mainly Kung Fu and Capoeira and is able to combine his magic with this style of fighting. He is an experienced mage, having reached the lofty status of A class.
Ira is a 3rd Generation Dragon Slayer, having been raised by a Dragon Foster Parent as well as having a Solar Dragon Lacrima placed within him. In this regard, Ira is able to freely enter the state of Dragon Force albeit with Consequences after the fight such as increased Fatigue and numbness to the body.
Whilst in dragon Force, his appearance takes on scales similar to that of Sting and Rogue, covering most of his body and the side of his faces. The scales appear to glow an orange and yellow hue, mimicking the color of the sun and will radiate small flares of heat outwards. The air around Ira gradually begins to get warmer. Likewise his chest will bear a Large Sun emblem radiating a similar glow to that of his Dragon force scales. In Dragon Force Mode, Ira receives a power boost, increasing his durability, speed and strength as well as the potency of his magic. He gains a stronger form of gravitational control, allowing him to pull objects towards himself and have them orbit around his body or alternatively propel them outwards at his target.

Solar Dragon's Roar:
Ira gathers a large amount of solar energy into his mouth, releasing it in a large 'Solar Beam' at his target.
Solar Dragon's Fist:
Ira gathers the energy from the sun into his fist, increasing the power of his punches drastically.
Solar Dragon's Claw:
Ira gathers the energy from the sun into his feet, increasing the power of his kicks
Solar Dragon's PhotoSynthesis
Basic ability of all Dragon Slayers, Ira can consume the energy from the sun in order to replenish his energy reserves. This is done by opening his mouth during the day and inhaling deeply. Golden orbs of light will form near his opened maw as he consumes the energy from the sun. Ira can also absorb bodies of Light and Heat in order to replenish himself, due to the sun being primarily Heat and Light.
Solar Dragon's Melting Touch:
By harnessing the heat from the sun into his palms, Ira can generate enough heat to melt metal with ease.
Advanced Techniques
Solar Dragon's Meteor Spray:
Ira harnesses the light aspect of Solar Magic, focusing the magical energy at the tips of his fingers. In doing so, Ira is able to fire off several shots of compressed light into the target with each projectile moving at an increased speed. Whilst fast and dangerous, the light can still be refracted by his opponents.
Solar Dragon's Charged Cannon:
A variation of the meteor spray, Ira focuses the magical property of light into a singular point between both palms, pressing the base of each hand together (like a Street fighter Hadouken), Ira fires of a larger and more compressed ball of energy at the target. The size of the attack will vary and the larger it gets, the bigger the recoil.
Solar Dragon's Supernova:
An advanced version of his Solar Dragon's fist attack, the heat energy he accumulates in his hands are compressed into a smaller but denser sphere. When he strikes with this condensed energy, a large explosion of heat will burst forth from his hands akin to that of a grenade blast.
Stigmata of the Solar Dragon
Ira places a stigmata upon the persons body. That Stigmata will slowly heat up the targets body causing them to sweat more and lose their fluids faster, thus increasing the rate of Dehydration
Solar Dragon's Radiant Glow:
Ira body emits a golden orange, blinding anyone who looks at him directly. Heat radiates from his body at such a high temperature that plants around him begin to dry out. This is an ability akin to Dragon Force but at a lower scale. It is an augmentation spell that infuses Ira's magical energy into his very body, enhancing his speed, strength and durability. Ira enters a state of enhanced awareness and peak physical ability. They are also cloaked in intense golden heat. While in this state, a Solar Dragon Slayer demonstrates heightened reflexes as it amplifies their solar dragon slayer magic without exhausting themselves.
Solar Dragon's Blinding Light:
Ira utilizes the light properties of Solar energy, increasing his speed drastically whilst sacrificing his strength and durability. In this state, Ira is incredibly fast whilst also incredibly fragile. This ability is more for transportation (outside of vehicles) than for combat.
Secret Art:
Radiant Beast: Meteor Smash
With both hands, Ira condenses a large amount of solar energy into a spherical point, creating a small psuedo sun the size of a large boulder. He is then able to hurl/carry this large mass towards his target, smashing the fake sun into them with such force. (Think Great Ball Rasengan but a hot sun)
Radiant Beast: Solar Flare
Ira punches the ground around him, burying his fist into the earth as he releases a large amount of solar energy into the floor. Pillars of solar fire will erupt from the ground at various points around the target, creating a destructive explosion as the immense amount of energy and pressure is released from the ground. The exit points are dependent upon where Ira makes eye contact with.
Radiant Beast: Light's Rain
An omni directional attack that rises into the air at a gradual pace. As it rises, this ' fake Sun' begins to absorb properties of the 'Real Sun' until it reaches its maximum height (think 5 stories high). Once it reaches its maximum state, the sun explodes and fires of countless numbers of small needle like rays of Light, able to pierce the target.
Advantages
1.Much Stronger during the day. Due to being the Solar Dragon Slayer, Ira naturally gains his strength during the day. In a way, he is similar to a plant utilizing photosynthesis.
2.Extreme Resistant to heat/Fire due to being the Solar Dragon Slayer. Rather self explanatory, Ira is resistance to heat and fire due to the properties inherited whilst being the Solar Dragon Slayer. The sun is very hot
3.Abel is also highly resistant to the cold. He makes a good snuggle buddy during missions in the snow.
4. A warmer body which he can increase in temperature also means that foes trying to grapple him and get in close may experience discomfort and even burns
Disadvantages
1. Like most dragon slayers, he is basically useless on any mode of transportation. That is a given weakness considering his magic affinity. Be ready to carry him off any mode of transportation
2. Substantially weaker during the night. The exact opposite to his strength; Ira is considerably weaker during the night. Having no 'Sun' present, Ira is unable to replenish his own strength via consuming the Sun's energy. He is considerably slower during the night as well
3. In-doors/In Caves etc, Ira is also vastly limited to how he can fight. Given the lack of light, he can only fight for so long and is unable to replenish himself in such places.
Weapons and Additional Items
Ira presently does not carry any particular weapons with him, fully confident in his own magic and battle style. He does however have a single scale from Agares, a large golden scale that is as large as a small buckler shield. He can use this as a shield, its durability and magic resistance strong enough to defend him from most forms of attacks.
