Alaska, with his new mission, picked up the pace, breaking into a nice run in the direction the car had gone. He didn't live too far from the building the crime took place in, something he was grateful for as he was at the building's entrance in a matter of minutes. He now stood at the door into the dilapidated complex, mentally preparing himself for the onslaught of scents he could already smell from where he was standing.
No amount of preparation would have helped him in the end. As soon as he opened the door, the werewolf reeled back in disgust. As long as he focused on something else, it would be slightly bearable. The trip to the elevator, the ride in the elevator, and the walk down the hallway were all painful; turns out that focusing on something else was nearly impossible. But he was there, standing in the doorway to the room where it happened.
Alaska leaned against the rotten door frame, arms crossed, and whistled.
