personality: after being suppressed for so long ophelia's mindset is pretty much 'just do what you want'. she won't judge you if you won't judge her. after doing so much she really does not give a flying fuck anymore, and almost nothing phases her anymore. the once innocent girl she was matured at a quick rate and now she is almost the opposite person. she doesn't take much seriously, whether it be sex or school.
ophelia is the type of person who although is loyal to her friends does not want to get involved in unnecessary discourse. of course she'll support her friends but she sometimes finds conflict trivial and does not want any trouble, so would be more willing to do things she finds more pleasure in. but if the clash is with her... boy will she find a way to bring you down, whether it be with the help of the five or all by herself. she will find a way to ruin your life if you so much as attempt to do so to her.
despite her usual laid back disposition, as soon as the sun rises and the party starts it's like she becomes an almost different person. ophelia is the life of the party, always somehow and suddenly full of energy and going almost crazy when the music and partying starts. she is a very open person, open to trying new things and just generally open about herself.

biography: ophielia grew up with a very traditionalist and conservative catholic family, who raised her on strict religious values. it was a restricting lifestyle, but it all seemed normal to her as it was all she knew. her family usually spent more time praying to god and going to church than paying attention to or taking care of her, and even one tiny mistake made meant she would have to be punished for 'her own good'. but, again, this all seemed like the regular life of any child to her.
however as she grew up her family finally felt that she was capable of taking care of herself, and so granted her more independence and allowed her to go to a public, non religious school: new hope high school. it was here that she befriended the members of the fab five, and discovered the life of partying, alcohol and sex. it was at one party that she finally all of her pent up feelings go, let loose and fully enjoyed herself for the first time in her life. and damn was she wasted. she ended up passed out in some senior's room and crashed at one of the fab five's places to hide the truth from her parents.
'studying', she calls it when explaining to her parents why she is out so often. after that ophelia became addicted to the pleasure brought about by sex and alcohol, even drugs occasionally. after all they gave her more pleasure than her family ever did. over time her parents found christian work that meant longer hours and longer distances, which suits ophelia perfectly as she can continue with her activities without them suspecting anything.

History: Angela and Anthony Reid were a match made in heaven. Angela was a beautiful chef-in-training from a close knit Italian family and Anthony was on the fast track to the NFL. They met in their early twenties and to hear his mother tell the story: they just made sense. Her family hated Anthony and he didn't have family to hate her, but they persevered and grew together through the years. When Angie found out she was pregnant they eloped and were going to live happily ever after.

Anthony worked hard to balance his life and career goals, and for the most part did well, though his determination wasn't enough to get him drafted to the NFL, and he had to give up his dream and settle for a construction job and fantasy football. The family struggled to get by, and Anthony became bitter and cold but above all else he loved Angie dearly. When Reid was eleven his mother was diagnosed with melanoma, and four years later she passed. This time was especially hard on the men she left behind, and through their grief their already strained relationship finally fell apart. Suddenly Anthony was making Reid's entire life revolve around football, and the sport the teenager used to enjoy became a burden. During this difficult time Reid was dating the Queen Bee, and despite her reputation he was glad to have someone there for him. She was the only bond he still had in his life, so he clung to her and was soon convinced it was love.

Through his father's constant pressure, Reid put his entire self into football, and quickly became a star. He put his true love- writing - on the back burner and focused on making his father happy until he can escape his grasp. Reid isn't exactly cut out for popularity. He hates the way his friends treat people, but maintains his reputation so that he can survive high school and move on to majoring in journalism at college and get away from everything this town has to offer.

Except maybe the outcast.

Falling for the outcast was a mistake; a fluke if you will. Reid hates the cliche of it all, falling for his girlfriends best friend, and he hates what it did to her even more. Regardless of whose fault the affair was, it would be social suicide to date her now and he's not really looking to date anyone at all, because relationships have proved to be nothing but drama. So he broke up with the Queen Bee, and stopped sleeping with the outcast. Even Reid isn't strong enough to handle loneliness though so every now and then he finds himself in bed with his ex once again, or sneaking away to check up on the outcast, eternally torn between the girl that was there for him when his mother died and the girl that he can't help but want.

History: Violet was born to Maria and David Cruz, immigrants from Colombia who moved to the states to further Maria's modeling career. They were living in the lap of luxury even after Violet was born. David stayed home to take care of their only child and Maria supported the household. Pressure to be strong and beautiful has been part of Violet's life for as long as she can remember. At a young age her mother was taking her to fashion shows and showing her off to friends, but to Maria's disappointment, Violet grew tall and wide.

For a good chunk of her life, Violet's mother stroked her hair at night and assured her that she was 'very pretty for a big girl.' And it taught the child that her size was a flaw that even her mother couldn't look past. Despite her chub, Violet entered middle school with good friends and an attitude that couldn't be squandered. She excelled in her classes and stood up for herself against bullies. Soon into her pre-teen years she began dating her first and only boyfriend, *insert name here.* Thrilled that someone even liked her, she worked to give him everything she thought he wanted while still attempting not to lose herself. Not much later, the queen bee took her under her wing and Violet was finally considered popular. By the end of seventh grade, she was thin and pretty and a force to be reckoned with.

Being the queen bee's friend was a whirlwind to say the least. People in the halls parted like the red sea to let the girls pass, all heads in a room turned when they walked in. Every girl wanted to be them and every guy wanted to sleep with them. Violet was finally making her mother proud and being the kind of strong woman she read about in her favorite books. Sure, along the way she throws up her meals but that's the price she paid to be popular, and she's proud of it.

kyra is the definition of young, wild, and free. she is very in tune with her spiritual side and tends to defy the normal definition of a school girl. or at least she used to. the kyra that many people knew was pretty different from the current one. her status didn't matter to her, all she needed was her friends, best friend, and art. that was it. she was considered an odd one, being one of the only people who vocalized their opinion on opting for a more spiritual faith than religious one. kyra was often found covered in ink stains and paint on her clothes, with her awkwardly cut brown hair, and watercolor dyeing her hands. it was her life. her personality was fiery and wild, often finding need to express herself, hating the oppressive norms which were shoved down her throat. however middle school and high school changed her. not so much that you don't recognize her, but you may be shocked to see the change.

due to being surrounded by the most popular girls in school, kyra developed a sense of insecurity, yet vanity towards herself. it's part of her belief system and morals to love herself, but being around those perfect girls, it caused her to have a love hate relationship with herself. this developed other issues, such as she was constantly comparing herself to others, considered skipping meals in order to lose weight quicker, to give her body away to the first guy who asked so she wouldn't be the only one in the group who didn't sleep with someone. these negative changes impacted her art considerably and kyra almost gave up on art. her freshman and first half of sophomore year were filled with her trying to find herself once again. but she did.

she's always been the type to pursue her dreams, to try and achieve the things she wants. which was why she didn't hold back when she told the class president about her feelings for him back in middle school. her determination and sense of individuality have caused kyra to be a very strong person, often standing up for what she believes in, even if it's not the popular opinion. however her confidence can be knocked down very easily, and it was practically nonexistent when her best friend was isolated from the group and completely ruined. this caused kyra to develop her facade. she uses the perks of being a popular girl to her advantage, acts however she needs to act to pretty much survive. kyra isn't really all that bitchy and tends to simply be brutally honest, which causes people to call her a bitch on the side. but she doesn't like that her friends, despite loving them to death, tend to ruin the lives of students.

while kyra puts on a bit of an act at school, she still is the same girl that many people remember. of course she doesn't steal your crayons anymore. maybe your pizza, but not crayons. kyra used to be known for being very boyish, as her hair was cut extremely short, she always wore boy's clothes, and she was often trying to play with the boys at school. this was in elementary school. in high school kyra decided to touch on her feminine side more. though despite her appearance changing, she still retained that unique spark that most girls don't posses. a tomboy in her heart, kyra's characteristics become less filtered when she's around people that aren't her best friends. this is because she feels like a regular girl that isn't getting her death literally planned behind her back.

kyra is very honest and has no shame in saying that she can't wait to escape this town and find a place where she can live happily and not worry about hurting others. because she is eager to leave the town, she often turns a blind eye to what her friends do and buries her head under the sand, trying to focus on her art when they are causing trouble. since she is basically only in the group because she was childhood friends with the girls, she tends to be forgotten. this also means that she is overlooked, especially when it comes to romance. kyra, out of every single girl, has had the most problems with romance. she's god awful at it and she doesn't know why.

while kyra loves all her friends, she's not one to get her hands dirty. she tends to tiptoe around the destroying of reputations, after watching her best friend's high school life getting ruined, she figured that staying out of it was safer than being involved in it. but this doesn't mean kyra is a pushover. oh no. this girl has a bite and isn't afraid to use it. despite this, kyra is a very fun person to be around. when you hang out with her, you will realize she makes just about everything fun and exciting. a contagious smile and laugh, it's hard to be sad when you are around kyra. even if you just go out for pizza and soda, you will have a blast, probably ending up hearing her snort while she's laughing so much. it's very fun and the memories are always precious to those who know she won't be staying in the town for much longer.

kyra was born at her home by the sea. the day she was born was a nasty one, the ocean raging, and it being unsafe to drive to the hospital. luckily her mother, rachel had already planned a home birth. the california coastline however calmed after kyra's cries pierced the air. her tiny lungs were able to swallow the oxygen around her, tiny pink curled in tight fists as she was held in her mother's arms. it was a joyful time for rachel elizabeth jensen, however it didn't stop tears from falling. it was painful and beautiful. holding her daughter for the first time. you see, kyra's situation is rather unique. she is the product of an affair. yes that's right, her mother was the mistress of a very wealthy business man who owned many of the hotels on the busy californian beaches.

because of this affair, rachel was sucked into a lot of trouble, especially when the wife found out. now everything was going to be solved by rachel simply moving to her old neighborhood and never speaking to the man again, but obviously something happened. kyra happened. when rachel found out she was pregnant, she was terrified. scared that she'd be blackmailed into aborting the baby, or giving it to the man's wife to raise. so for awhile rachel hid her pregnancy, continued to get ready to move, until finally she couldn't handle it anymore. she was desperate and telling christopher was the only thing she could do. when the man knew his mistress was pregnant with his child, he made sure she was comfortable. without his wife's knowledge he provided her with a place to stay, but there was a catch. once the child was born, rachel and her baby were to move.

so that's how kyra went from california to massachusetts in record time. there her mom started fresh, and by the time kyra was five she had a step dad. john wasn't like christopher. he wasn't that wealthy, didn't have too much class, but he was enough for rachel. at least for the time being. life was relatively easy for the jensen girls, john had to work a lot but hey, at least he was supporting the family, well in a way. while rachel was dealing with her loser husband, kyra was becoming quite the unique kid in elementary school. she was notorious for stealing everyone's crayons. it was from the kids at her table. every time they looked away, she snatches those crayon's and pretended to be innocent.

this is how kyra met the girls. she was the one who was friends with them all, even if they weren't all friends with each other. the strange tomboy with the awkward brown hair and bug eyes was the one who really met all the girls. she was very unique and liked all of the girls, no matter how perfect, mean, weird, or anything. she just liked them. as she didn't have any siblings of her own, the girls were like her sisters. they were all different in their own way and kyra really loved that about them. even if the queen bee might have shown her rank even as a child, the smart one may have struggled with weight, but kyra didn't care. those were just little things that kyra didn't care about. the girls were her best friends, her sisters, her family. it was the only stable thing she had in her life.

in middle school, kyra and her friends really changed. the queen bee was someone who everyone seemed to look up to. she had the ability to take pathetic girls under her wing and change them into beautiful women who could rule the school. literally. kyra was subjected to this as well. though it wasn't as noticeable, kyra, while watching the queen bee turn girls into gorgeous women, she tried as well. she grew her hair out, she wore makeup, wore clothes that a girl would normally wear. middle school was about kyra really trying to fit in with everyone. in her freshman year and part sophomore of year, kyra was involved in the popular crowd. while she couldn't change her eyes, her rather flat body, she certainly looked more feminine. her art also got better. instead of sketching comics like she used to, kyra's art expanded into statement pieces that would leave students in shock.

Pandora's probably the most stylish girl you'll ever meet. Her fashion sense is impeccable, or perhaps it's just the way she's built naturally. I mean, she's capable of making drab and mundane articles of clothing appear on the cover of Vogue. Her fashion choices are usually comfy, but still trendy, and it honestly depends on her mood. Pandora is a bitch. That should be quite obvious. She's a total bitch, in every aspect of her life. She even has a resting bitch face, though that doesn't stop her from being the human embodiment of lust and beauty. She's blessed with everything you could ever want, superficially at least. She's got the looks, money, and even the intelligence, though she isn't as smart as the brainiac of the group, she can hold her own. Her grades say so at least. Apart from all that, Pandora's personality is a little... Alright, maybe a lot, in the town of "Fucking Horrible".

She seems to, while being utterly gorgeous and being one of the best examples of both brains and beauty, be a total bitch to everyone around her. She's a malicious little thing, always planning the demise of someone that might not have even did any wrong. Her manipulative actions speak for themselves, and boy do they have a lot to say. She's cunning to boot, lying and slivering her way out of almost every situation she finds herself in. She'll never be in trouble with these traits of hers honestly, so maybe that's the one good thing she gets out of being like this, not to mention the killer reputation she has for being a life ruiner. Whoever dares to threaten her and her friends are done for honestly.

All the negativity aside, Pandora does have some good traits, as trivial as they are. She's rather compassionate when it comes to her friends. Though yes, she does nit-pick when it comes to their fashion choices, and yes, sometimes her cutting comments are a bit too much, as long as they voice out their concerns to her, she'll stop her behaviour right away. Her incredible observational skills aren't something to joke about either. With a quick glance, she can guess your intentions from your little tics alone, she kind of smells fear in that sense.

As confident as she should be, and honestly seems to be on the outside, Pandora's biggest enemy, is herself. She doesn't like herself very much. She worries that muscle mass might be something that most find unattractive, even if without her muscle she'd probably be way in the lands of underweight. So maybe she's not so bad after all.

Or maybe she is, judging from how she only dislikes that one part of herself that's superficial and surface level. Who knows?

.biography.
Pandora's life has been one of a stereotypical "rich bitch" household you'd often find in sitcoms. She has it all, from the swimming pool to the backyard with a grill that seems to be grilling hot dogs 24/7. Her family is all pristine and perfect, what with her father being a lawyer, famous for being the town's local Pheonix Wright, and her mother, a surgeon, with the ability to talk about any subject, no matter how disturbing or gruesome without ever cringing even the slightest. Wouldn't want to ruin the immaculate makeup.

But that's merely what everyone else sees.

Pandora's never told anyone, really. It's hard to. It's hard to act like you're hot shit when your father's cheating on your mother like an absolute pig. God knows what kind of disease he's got down there. Her mother turns a blind eye towards it, trying her best to maintain a smile that won't ever falter, just for the sake of Pandora and Felicia. If anyone ever found out, it would be the end of her. Well, that's what she thinks at least.

To distract herself, Pandora picked up a knack for ballet. She's amazing at it really, for someone who started late, she's pretty incredible. Sometimes she dances around in her room, letting her mind wander as her body moves to the music, drifting away from the harsh reality of her family situation and focusing on all the power and control she has, focusing on what she'll do next to torment some other poor sod's life.

At first glance, Miranda appears standoffish and rude. She has trouble getting close to people but defends the people she considers friends very fiercely. She's brilliant, but nearly flunked out freshman year due to a particularly bad depressive episode and generally having a hard time focusing, she's sensitive about people thinking that she's stupid because of this, because most of the school does.
Miranda is also obsessed with her image. She never, ever leaves her room without makeup, for any reason. It's not vanity necessarily, more like deep-seated insecurity. This desperation for perfection is also apparent in her work with the local dance studio, she spends more time there than in her own house.
All this aside, Miranda is also an extremely empathetic and non-judgemental person. She can handle you at your worst and never mention it. Barfing your guts up in the bathroom? Can't shake those pills? Just slept with your teacher? When your world is falling apart and you're pushing everyone away, she'll be right there, no matter what it is. She would have been there for the outcast, and she feels horrible for not doing so, but she's lost sleep at night thinking about that social suicide, and ultimately, she's better friends with the queen.
If you betray her trust, she will instantly turn from sweet and kind of a pushover to a cold hearted bitch who will never acknowledge that you exist again.

Biography
Miranda grew up with a twin brother, who has always been her best friend. He had taken extra credit classes in high school, always AP and honors, and decided to graduate a year early last year. She still hasn't quite forgiven him for running off to Harvard and leaving her alone with their parent's expectations.
The Hayashi family moved from Kyoto, Japan just in time for the twins to start first grade in the states. They live life as though they are drowning, and the only thing that can help is more connections, more wealth, more prestige. It's a desperate, unachievable scramble towards the top. Anytime they make progress, they just move their goals up. For this reason, Miranda tends to be left alone most of the time due to the long hours both of her parents work. They also spoil her rotten, because if you can make up for neglecting your kids, and rub your wealth in the faces of the town, why wouldn't you do things like buying their sixteen-year-olds any car they could possibly want.
Now Miranda just wants to get herself out of town and is applying to every college with a decent linguistics program that she thinks will take her.​

David got shoved into a lot of lockers in high school. This man had Star Wars bedsheets until he graduated college and can name any Star Trek episode after the first two minutes. He's an insufferable nerd who gets really excited about the things that he likes. Fortunately, one of those things is English and he's an engaging if a little bit weird, teacher. He's really just genuinely a nice guy with a love for the subject that he teaches. When David get's excited about something, he gets really excited, and generally, has to tell everyone about it. He tries to be engaged with students and direct his lesson plans toward things that interest them because he only recently got out of his own education and knows how much of a drag boring teachers can be.
Davids demeanor is really laid back, and he usually lets things slide that most teachers don't. However, if you don't put any effort into his class he will put an F on your report card a lot faster than most teachers will.

Biography
David spent a good portion of his youth bouncing around foster families after his mom overdosed on heroin and was sent to a rehab facility when he was four. Since then, she's been sober on and off and in and out of jail and rehab, he tries to keep in contact with her because she's his only immediate family.
As a teen, his life was pretty unstable and he moved around a lot so he was pretty quiet and focused on academics and books. In college, he started making more permanent friends and coming out of his shell. He started playing piano and working part time at a roller skating rink until he finished his degree and got his job teaching English at the high school.​
