It was a warm summer morning that day, soft white puffy clouds drifting through the otherwise bright blue sky, cicada's shipping in the bushes quietly pleasantly in greeting of the weather, having just changed over from the cool spring breezes and gentle sights of slower perking up seemingly everywhere, allergy suffers getting a well deserved break from the hazardous time to dare leave the house. The school building stood tall in the otherwise small town of Evergreen, it was a rather secluded place where most kept to their own and exchanged to occasionally pleasant greeting, it had enough bakeries to feed any hungry mouths and rather well known cafe sitting at the edge of town, in the early hours the smell of freshly ground coffee beans could be smelt whilst walking past, a cheerful feature which helped wake up many on their ways to work around the place.

The buildings welcoming grey cobble lined the almost miniature castle like structure, it's noble clock sitting atop chiming every few hours to alert those of the townsfolk of the change in times. The courtyard full of still blumming trees, a mixture of oaks and cherry blossoms the principle had admired whilst in Japan and decided to plant some here hoping the students would enjoy it also, the school's gate a black and beautifully patterned still with stone walls stretching past it's area, both to keep the students in but also unwanted intruders out, after all they were catering to a rather susceptible crowd within it's walls and hostilities certainly weren't welcome, after all the students health and safety were high on their priority list, the dorm building sat behind the front, out of sight till entering it's walls tucked into the small outcrop of forrest that came from the northern side of the space, the walls over here a blend of almost enchanting looking vines and hidden relics amongst the foliage, an area that for all students was strictly off limits. At the eastern side sat the medical building, a tall white structure that looked oddly modern compared to the rest of the place but nevertheless still welcoming.

Those who'd arrived a day before would be woken up by the first chime of the bell, if not already so from a child's crying or simply being unable to settle thanks o both looking and feeling somewhat like a bloated whale, others beginning to come in through the gate, the schools population mostly comprised of pregnant female who either through their own choice or their families saw this as the best place to continue their schooling whilst in such a condition, not however to dismiss the small mass of males that the school made no short efforts in assuring they felt just as well treated and catered towards, after all it was their goal to make everyone here as comfortable as possible. The classes here were a tad more unusual than others, of course those in high school and college got to choose their own courses, the main building serving as a place for all the year levels keeping everyone much closer together in a sort of support system as it described on the brochure, however the extracurricular activities were at times compulsory, at least once or twice a week a childcare, labouring/birthing class or a handful of other courses were held in which the students must attend.

Unlike most schools Everlin Grove didn't hold the standard sort of orientation day at the start of the year, instead to save everyone from cramming at least a couple hundred pregnant mothers or otherwise parents into a school hall the messages were instead conveyed over a simple speaker system, it could be heard from just about everywhere from he bathrooms to the library, even the schools pool and gymnasium section had it's own setup, the school seemed relatively well off funding wise after all, even if entry and tuition was already payed for without the student or family having to add in. "Morning students!" A voice beamed over the microphone just a little too cheery seeming for this time of the morning, "We welcome you all to our school, as you may already know assemblies aren't really our 'thang' as you cool kids say, so we instead ask for just a few moments of your time to get over the basic formalities and then we'll let you go ahead with your day…. Did I already say welcome? Oh! Never mind, anywho, here at Everlin Grove our goal is to provide the best possible experience for all our parenting students, our specialised programs being catered to each students specific needs after arising for the purpose that, as many of you may know, teen or young parents have some of the worse known academic finishing rates, let alone attending university afterwards meaning many tasks such as securing a well paying job or even paying the rent from week to week an be a struggle, we aim to change this, with your help we're determined to make sure everyone under our care has their best time possible here and after leaving, continues into an amazing life! Now, we may be a newer school but in the ten years we have been running we've so far had outstanding results, lets all strive to keep this up, shall we? Finishing off you may collect your schedule either from the front desk or get a print out from the library, and ask any of our friendly staff or medical team any questions you might have! today classes will start at lunchtime to give you all a chance to chat and bond amongst one another! Toodaloo!~" The female voice cut off with a small beep from the sound system.

Principle Eslmore was well known as one of the more- 'eccentirc' school headmasters, she was fun to be around and certainly entertaining but strange by most standards, then again to run a school for this sort of thing one would have to be a bit more open than others you could presume, i was clearly her over the microphone, after all no other teacher or deputy in the whole school would dare say cool kids out loud, either way this year was certainly shaping up to be a more dramatic one than the school had ever seen before. The brown haired woman with hair messily tied in a bun slowly let out a withheld breath as she stepped away from the speaker system, adjusting her rectangular glasses with one finger before dusting off her suit, "There we go, announcement all done for this year~…." she muttered, her lips slowly curving into a soft but somewhat nervous smile, "Now lets hope the drama isn't too much this year" she chuckled, giving a nod to the receptionist who gave a smile back before the lady walked off and into her office.

Higetsu.Shino.600.1103786.jpg

Matsuki let out a long sigh, staring up at the roof of the police car, apparently she needed to be escorted from the airport to the school in case she tried to make a break for it, pfft- like she was going to run away from her only chance to stay out of prison and get an education, she may be a troublemaker but she wasn't dumb, her eyes vaguely drifted to the back of the drivers seat, the two cops chuckling and trying to make small talk with her about her pregnancy, things like 'how far along are you girly?' or, 'how's the little ones doing?' every five minuets, it felt like an eternity, she didn't give them a reply, simply crossing her arms and resting them on top of her huge stomach and sloshing back further into the seat, if she wasn't in a bad enough mood already, never being able to get remotely comfortable when eight months in with twins certainly wasn't making it any better. She couldn't help but let out yet another sigh though this time in relief as they arrived at the school gate, the male officer who'd been driving getting out and opening the door for her, she got out with a bit of effort and supported her back casually with one hand, eyes looking away in an icy glare, the man gave a small smirk and escorted her over to the opening, she couldn't care less about the staring eyes of the other arriving students, shying away from the girls path as her police escort ended once she'd stepped inside, "Keep outta' trouble k? all three of ya~" she teased, seeming rather pleased with his statement as he got back into the car and started driving away.

Standing at the start of the courtyard she felt like a massive fish out of water, literally, the other students had gone back to whatever they were previously doing but still sneaking glances, a small boy walking with his mum holding her hand was pointing in amazement asking something about if that was a real police car and if she was some sort of super bad criminal, this made her smirk a tad, still leaning back on her hand for support, "Yeah kid…. stay away or I'll give ya a curse or something~…." she muttered to herself, pulling out a cigarette from her pocket and sticking it between her lips, chewing on the bud of the end, sure she hadn't lit a cigarette since she knew but lets just say when you've been smoking since ten it isn't all that easy to quite the habit, the best she could do was just have the unlit piece in her mouth, it wasn't that it was too bad either, made em last a heck of a lot longer as she joked to some of the cops back in her town, they got a right crack out of that, letting it slide as long as she didn't actually smoke it. She slowly began strolling down the path, raising a brow as she glanced around she was wearing a grey cotton type t-shirt with a black leather jacket and some slightly torn up jeans, not those weird style of buying em pre ripped, this was the real deal, scratched up in gang fights and so far gone from being over stretched through the years they were about the only thing that fit around her waist even somewhat efficiently by this point. She didn't have any luggage, she didn't have any personal items to bring after all, she'd been given enough cash to pay for some meals and new clothes, but who knows what she'd actually do with it, not even she did.

What an agonizingly long ride that was, and still is. To be fair, he knew travelling alone with a kid and at least two baggages wasn't easy. But...but this hard? it was difficult enough to get everything in the car and train, and now he has to exit it in a semi-fast pace. At least, in a few minutes from now on. For the moment, he was leaning back, cradling Moira in his arms. His child has been awake for the whole trip, ok, good, she slept for about ten minutes until a group of teens boarded the train and blasted their garbage music loudly without wearing headpphones. When Keith told them to please tone it down, but the teens just shrugged it off and proceeded to blast their music, which sounded like they came straight of the 1940's. So, Keith just rolled his eyes and mumbled "Your father should have used a fucking condom.". The kids didn't hear it, so that was good.
"Next station: Rosemary Station." Finally! It took an eternity! With a reliefed sigh, Keith stood up and put Moira in her stroller, before arranging his stuff - one of his bags is mounted in front of the stroller, the other one is he carrying. It looks ridiculous, but it works. And if it works, it ain't ridiculous. When Keith approached the door, he noticed the look of a lady, which just stared at him. "Somethin' the matter?" He asked her while waiting on the train to stop. "Well, I have just noticed that you look so...young. Don't you think you are a bit too young to have kids?" Of course. Of course she says shit like that. Keith just rolled his eyes and responded "Aren't you a bit too old to meddle in matters which are none of your god damn business?" He felt the woman literally exploding, but once the doors opened, he quickly left the train and went to the elevators. He will not discuss with people with those kind of people.

While her summer was mostly relaxing, it was time to go back to school. So far, seventeen-year-old Tracy was very far along in her pregnancy at nine months exact. Nine months pregnant on the first day of school. Hopefully it will be relaxing, but the school was accommodating enough. She had just finished organizing her dorm, it at least her room and her nursery since she was going to be giving birth early in the school year. The dorm suite she was assigned had multiple rooms. One for her and one for her nursery that she set up for her baby. After putting on a new dress, she looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. For nine months pregnant, Tracy thought she looked very beautiful, even with the swollen tummy. She patted her belly when she felt her little princess kicking. "Its okay hun, four more weeks and you'll be in Mommy's arms and not inside her tummy. Just be a patient little princess for mommy, please." She mused.

After putting on her bracelet, necklace and earrings, she gave herself one last look in the mirror, cradling her swollen belly as she smiled, feeling confident. Lastly. She grabbed her purse and her bookbag before leaving her dorm. She saw another pregnant girl with a cigarette in her mouth. With a glare, she waddled up to the other girl and quickly yanked the cigarette out of her mouth. "First off, smoking is off limits on this campus. Second, are you thinking about your baby?" She asked, both concerned and agitated as she tossed the cigarette in the trashcan. Looking the other woman in the eye, she placed one hand on her hip. The other on her belly to help get the strain off her back.

Matsuki had continued her absentminded stroll, or rather she at least looked absentminded whilst a thousand thoughts rushed through her head, how the heck did this place work? Where was the dorm building? Was the principle actually insane or just incredibly stupid? Why no, scratch that how did she even end up here? She shook her head a little as her eyes continued to fixate on the ground, or at least what she could see of it over her stomach, seething that though her smirk stayed present made her left eyebrow twitch just a little in annoyance, being pregnant sure wasn't an easy ride, not that she'd thought it would be mind you, she continued her slow pace whilst mostly being avoided by other son the path when the sudden quickening pace of footsteps could be heard beside her, just as she tilted her head to look up she felt the cigarette be pulled abruptly from her teeth, her pupils retracted as she fist raised in an almost instinctual response but soon paused and she let it drop before it even got close to hitting, a school full of pregnant females wasn't exactly good punching grounds.

Her eyes resettled to their previous cold look as she stared over at the girl, lips slightly apart in what could be taken as a sort of gangster look whilst her hand supporting her back slid into her leather jackets pockets along with the other, the female seemed to be about the same age as her though no doubt a goody two shoes bt what she could tell, everything from her wording to her expression just screamed give me an A grade. At the comment on her now missing mouth accessory she let her lips curve into a menacing smile as a small chuckle escaped her lips, "So what?…. It weren't lit or nothin'. Yeesh, don't get yer panties in a twist little miss knocked up~" she teased, her eyes stared directly into those of the other, looking as though they were begging for another angered response, a reason for the fight to continue, an almost off-putting predatorily gaze like a fox, a opportune hunter never making the strike without reasoning.

"Come on you dumb elevator!" It wasn't hard to notice that Keith was visibly annoyed. For the tenth time, he slammed the button, but nothing happened. "This garbage thing ain't working! Perfect! I hate it!" He let out a deep sigh before grabbing the stroller and noticing that Moira actually calmed down while he was cussing. Weird. He won't complain though. Back at home, he and Tiffany always cussed about the smallest of things. Slowly, he pushed the stroller towards the stairs. "Kill me. How the living hell am I supposed to get up there?" Well, first, he needs to unmount his luggage and bring it up. Said, and done. He brought both of his bags up before dashing down to the stroller. Then, he grabbed the handle and turned around, so he is now standing with his back to the stairs. "I can see how this will miserably fail." The station slowly started to fill, but most people ignored him. Even after he asked. "Hey, can you pl-" "No, I am in a hurry." yeah, you don't look like you are hurrying, because you are walking with a snails pace. Asshole.
It legit took Keith about five minutes to get the damned thing up there. When he arrived on the top platform, he took a deep breather. "Jesus christ. Enough excersize for the day." In disbelief, Keith shook his head before mounting his luggage to the stroller and leaving the station.
Fortunately - at least, one good thing about this day - , the station was next to Everlin Grove. "Thank god. I think I would have gone mad if I would have had to walk any god damn more!". The building made a very welcoming look for Keith, and he was excited to be here. Although, he has to admit, he would have preffered to stay at his college. But, someone needs to care for Moira. And seeing as Tiffany was the closest to graduating, Keith sacrificed himself to take care of their daughter.

"Little Miss Knocked Up? Well I can say the same about you, sweetheart." Tracy was about ready to go off, but if she got anymore worked up, she would run the risk of going into premature labor. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that the other woman was about to throw a punch at her, but seemed to have refrained. She shook her head as she straightened out her hair. Watching the girls hands. "Still, its harmful. Even if its not lit, you're still sucking in the nicotine into your system. Which is bad for the baby. Because whatever you eat, drink or inhale, goes to the baby too. God I feel bad for your child." Tracy replied. "And I kinda have a right to have my panties in a twist...Second-hand smoking can harm my baby and I don't want that because you don't seem to care about yours." She sighed. "Look, I'm just gonna go. Staying here any longer is probably gonna break my water and send me into premature labor." Tracy said before waddling off.
Cosmos Cosmos

Matsuki gritted her teeth together at the girls first comeback on saying the same about herself, crossing her arms once again as her eyes turned even more into a slit, as the other straightened out her har like some sort of super model she couldn't help but roll her eyes at the next comment and scoff, in fact she hadn't known that information about breathing it in at all, sure she'd vaguely known the rest of the stuff…. But it wasn't like she was about to show it. Every mention of not caring only increased her anger ever more, she could see the others eyes flickering to her fists so tried to make the infuriated tightening subtle, hissing under her breath as the other turned away with some smug pregnancy joke. Glaring and opening her mouth but letting it slide, she didn't need to let out her sharp tongue so early in to the morning, slowly reaching into her pocket to find the dorm sheet she'd scrunched up and chucked in there before getting on the short plane trip, grabbing it out she muttered some cuss words under her breath about how hard pockets were to use and she'd kick whoever's ass it was to design em that small.

That was before her eyes fixated on a few words and her previously snarling lips flickered up into a smirk, normally schools didn't give you a photo of your roommate on the slip, but apparently this school thought otherwise, chuckling a little she stretched out an arm and waved at the other girl, "Ay! Missy turns out ya won't be able to avoid me that easily~…. We're roommates." she let out in a playful and teasing tone. Truely she was annoyed at it and it showed a little, but might as well enjoy the moment to also make the other feel miserable, "What ya gonna do bout that water now?~" she continued.

Not even half an hour has passed without him already seeing people yelling at each other. At least, that's what it looked like. He hasn't talked to them yet, and only watched what happened out of distance. "God damn it, do I have to play the babysitter for those dumb asses too?" He rolled his eyes and, to this day, he still doeesn't get why so many pregnant people are so easily angered. He pushed his stroller faster and made his way to the women. Once he reached both, he stopped and stared at each other.
"Jesus christ, I have seen this whole ordeal from the distance, not gonna lie. If I'd ever need an example for second-hand embarassment, I can easily use whatever happened between both of you. Can you please tone it down? And don't you dare to blame it on the hormones. Your hormones are not a good reason to be a god damn asshole to others." He looked at both of the women with a very cold and strict look before noticing that Moira started to fall asleep. Man, she can sleep literally everywhere. Kinda like him. "If you have a problem with each other, talk about it calmly, and don't explode like a freakin' bomb. Seriously. Do you think this is good behavior? Even now? For your unborn child? What if you keep behaving like that when your child is born? Do you want your kid to grow up as a crippling, anxious mess? Good work, because you are on the right way then." Kids often use their parents as idols, and if their parents are assholes to others, one can guess how their kids will grow up. Guess? Right, as a fucking assholes.

Sidenote: WARNING, mild swearing used in this post.

Matsuki let out a sneer from her pursed lips as this new guy came strolling in with a- uh…. stroller. Argh!? Now wasn't the time for finding irony in word play gosh darnit, her eyebrow twitched once again at his words as her fist clenched tightly, her teeth grinding together even harder than before as she barely held back storming over there and just punching the two of them, trying to take a breath on order to calm down. Things round this end weren't settled by punching the shit out of one another, and unless she wanted to be expelled and give birth to her kids in a jail cell she had to reel it in.

Slowly she relaxed her stance a little, without even noticing she'd gone into a defensive take, it was more of an instinct by this point than an actual thought, grow up being beaten the crap out of as well as giving it back just as hard and well- ya learn a thing or two here and there without even realising it. Letting out the longhand breath she let her eyelids flicker shut and her hand un tense from it's previous clutch, "I don't have time for any more of this shit on the first day…." she muttered in a harsh tone, slowly shoving her hands back in her pockets and walking away just about as menacingly as a person eight months pregnant with twins could, she seemed to be heading straight into the small forrest at the side of them, it was a patch kept for presentation but not really something you were supposed to enter, giving a dismissive hand wave she was soon out of sight for the most part before sliding down against a tree behind some bushes and hissing at the pain in her back as she winced.

It wasn't long till she could feel her eyes tearing up and she quickly pulled her hands out of her pocket and they were shoved onto her face instead, a few quiet stuttered breaths could be heard but only if you were literally leaning into the bushes, have to hide your crying enough and you get pretty good at it, "D-Dangit…. W-Why am I crying?-…. stupid-…. Why I always gotta yell at people…. Why couldn't I just be f-friednly for once in my life? It's not like it'd kill me to make some real friends….." she stuttered out under her breath, lightly she could feel the babies kicking against her and she couldn't help but let out a small chuckled, removing a hand from her now slightly tear stained face and instead setting it onto her stomach gently, "I-It's fine…." she muttered.

"E-Even if it's just us…. I promise I'll protect you two no matter w-what…." she continued, soon finding herself once again drifting off into though, her trademark smirk once again appearing on her face, "Stupid hormones~…." she whispered.

Aurora Fairchild
Location: Dorm Room - School Grounds
Interaction: Open
Aurora had been one of the many students to arrive a day early. They all had their own reasons, but her's was simply so she could decorate her room however she wanted to with no distractions. The entire dorm room looked like a regular two person apartment, so she was guessing her roommate might be another lady who wasn't to far along like herself. Just thinking about that made her chuckle a little, but at least she should get some friends out of this experience. Anyway, currently she was stood on a chair, hanging a corkboard on the wall next to the door of her room. Being so short, standing on chairs was nesecary, and I'm sure, many people know.

It may be a little unsafe for her to do this, but she was an expert. Besides, how much harm could it do, she was only a little over a month along. Gripping the back of the chair, she stepped down, brushing her bangs back with a smile. Yeah, that was nice. Turning on her heel, the small chubby girl gave her tum two little pats as she thought about what to do next. Her bed had already been remade with her duvet set, her succulents were all in place by the window, her many stuffed animals and figurines had all found their place, and her desk was all nice and set up. She had unpacked her clothes all the day before, and so really, the only thing left to put up was her fairly lights. Which were just normal led Christmas lights. So, she spent the next few minutes dragging her chair around with a cup full of push pins tacking the lights up. Smiling and proud of herself, she stepped down, and went to her closest to change.

Letting her hair down from the ponytail it was in, she quickly brushed through it as she debated on what to wear. Though it was easy choice as she picked out a light pink, mid thigh pleated skirt with a teal, floral print shirt. She slipped on some flats, before grabbing the tiny book bag she used when walking around, and left her dorm. After of course leaving a little kind note about the left room being open for whoever her roommate ended up being. It only took her a few minutes before Aurora was outside, and wandering the school grounds, mostly taking note of where everything was.

Artemis Lunala
Interacting with : Matsuki ( Cosmos Cosmos )

Sitting quietly on one of the benches near the school entrance, having already taken her little belongings to her dorm, Artemis was just watching others. Gauging who people were. It was a distracting game, really, to make up stories for people she didn't know. She mostly made them happy, liking the idea of everyone here having happy backgrounds. She wouldn't wish a bad life upon anyone, though she certainly knew herself that not everyone here would have that. She certainly didn't.

So, continuing to watch, she frowned to herself as one girl took a cigarette from another's mouth. Watching the ensuing argument, since she assumed that was what it was, she sighed. She assumed the girl who had taken the cigarette was lecturing the other on the bad habit. How it would harm the child. But then one of them stormed away, toward a small forested area, and Artemis frowned again. She'd looked... either angry or upset. And, whilst Artemis really didn't like fights and arguments, she knew now how it felt to be alone when you needed someone. And if this girl was upset, then Artemis wanted to check on her.

So, pushing herself up carefully, she waddled after the other. Finding her easily, sat against a tree behind bushes, and realising she was crying, Artemis edged closer, half leaning on another tree with one hand, hoping the other wouldn't fight the company, "E-Excuse me? Are you okay?"

The fact that the other woman was her roommate, sent chills down Tracy's spine. So that was Matsuki...God she looked worse on paper then she did in person. According to the slip that she got upon arrival, the other woman that was her roommate...was pregnant with twins. Now she was wondering what was going on in the minds of school staff when they decided to room her up with her? Two heavily pregnant girls in one room... this was a bomb just waiting to explode.

As she was walking away, a man, who seemed to be a Father, as she heard a stroller, started admonishing both women for their behavior and even had the nerve to tell them not to pull their pregnancy cards. That left Tracy a little agitated, but then she felt a contraction in her lower stomach. She just took a deep breath, sighing. She just ignored him and continued on the cafeteria to grab food and just ate her little breakfast by herself.

Well, he broke up the fight. Though he did expect at least one of them to thank him. He looked after the girl which had a cigarette in her mouth, going towards a forest which looked like it came straight out of a horror movie - but to be fair, Keith hates woods. The other one? Dunno. She just...left. Quietly. After both had left, Keith rolled his eyes and just looked at his kid. "God damn, was I lucky that Tiffany wasn't like that. "Guess I can cross those two out of my 'Potential Friends'-list. But did they really expect me to give them special treatment because they are pregnant? if yes, they are at the wrong address." But that's a new record. Made two foes in less than ten minutes. But, again, pregnant women see everything as potentially dangerous and whine about everything. He leaned on his stroller, letting out a deep sigh. "God damn girl, we are both lucky that your mom isn't like that.", predending that Moira actually understands what he's saying. Not like she'd listen anyway - she's still sleeping. Then, Keith proceeded to look over the academys campus before deciding to venture inside. "I swear to god if they don't have elevators I am going nuts."

Brianna had just arrived at the school grounds following a nice long drive with her Grandmother, whom she was thankful to have since her own parents weren't really ever around and she never had a good relationship with her Dad. Sadly now her sister was estranged from her too. Kissing her Grandma goodbye, she got her suitcase and a few things out before a few staff members came by to help her take her things into her new apartment. It would seem that whoever was her room already claimed her spot. Seeing that it was only a two bedroom, she would have to share her room with her son when he arrived. After setting up her room, organizing and even setting up half of it for the baby, mainly just his crib and small dresser filed with baby clothes. Brushing her long waist-length pink hair, she smiled as she got it all straightened out minus the two buns she tied up. While looking through her wardrobe, she picked out a cute dress to wear, wanting to look good on her first day despite moving in a little late. Finally, she just grabbed her purse and book bag before flaunting her new look at the mirror and then leaving the dorm room.

While waddling across campus, she saw another woman, who was not as far along in her pregnancy sitting by herself, so Brianna, being the social butterfly that she was, decided to go talk to her. "Hi, what's your name? I'm Brianna." She introduced herself before sitting down, taking her backpack off and setting her purse aside.

After eating quietly by herself, Tracy cleaned up and threw everything into the trashcan before picking up her belongings and leaving the cafeteria. Out on the school grounds again, she was just headed back to her dorm for the day, but then she bumped into another student. "Oh, I'm sorry! I should be more careful." She said, holding her back as she looked down at her swollen belly, gently rubbing it. The baby kicked the palm of her hand, making her smile. "I'm sorry, sweetie, I didn't mean to scare you like that." She said to the tummy before looking up at the other woman. "First day here, too?"

She had been wandering for a while, but to be honset, it was nice. She had taken queit a few lively photos of some of the other students and scenery, and even gotten herself a drink. But her mood quickly changed when she bumped into someone. Or they bumped into her? Either way, her content happiness was taken over by a bit of concern as she saw who she had accidently hit. "Oh my gosh! No, I'm sorry!" She said quickly, immediately feeling bad she she noticed that this woman was much further along than she was. "Oh, uh, actually it's my second, I got here yesterday," She answered with a smile, before if faltered slightly, "Oh are you okay? I'm sorry if that hurt, I really should look more when I'm walking," Aurora added with a chuckle. There was a moment of awkward silence, as Aurora avoided eye contact for a moment or two, before her eyes met Tracy's. "I'm Aurora by the way, it's nice to meet you."

Gabriel Rivera

being a parent is like trying to fold a fitted sheet---no one really knows how.
unknown

Trying to be a dad at eighteen is no easy task.

Especially when you're a dad of a three-month-old little sucker named Laura who's got the same (irritating) spunk as you.
So yeah, not easy. But Gabriel had to stick to it---he wasn't about to give up on her or start succumbing to the stresses and get addicted to drink and drugs like his mom did. And he certainly wasn't going to take the example his father made of being a dad; abusive and distant, always dead tired from the jobs he had to manage.

Well, there was one thing in common. Gabriel was definitely dead tired.
Working two jobs, one as a barista at a local shop and one as a mechanic's assistant down at the mechanic's shop, also wasn't easy. But either way, it was paying off the rent bills, it was feeding him and Laura, keeping the apartment nice and warm and filled with the essentials at the very least. Gabriel would often see all the fuss about being a single mom, but for some reason, single fatherhood was a topic rarely discussed; was it because the dad is always the first to quit? Was it because mothers were often the first choice to stay with when it came to divorce? Gabriel didn't want those questions answered, though he knew it was probably true; his own father had always threatened to leave. Undoubtedly, mothers always had that extra special connection with their children because evidently, they gave birth to them, but still...

Laura had woken him up three times that night, the night right before he was about to enter Everlin Grove, a school that helped (mostly) young people like him pick up their studies from where they left off, being all distracted with the problem of pregnancy and children.
And on that last night, Laura woke him up three times, crying like it was the end of the world. And to prevent this supposed apocalypse, Gabriel would drag himself out from his warm bed, go into the mini kitchen and with zombie-like movements, prepare the baby formula which would go straight into Laura's tiny little hands greedily, and Gabriel would tiredly but lovingly watch her as she drank away, her curious green eyes gazing up at him. Sometimes, when he'd be awake enough, he'd pick her up and gently rock her, singing her a childhood lullaby or two even though he didn't have the greatest voice.

Parenting is definitely a double-edged sword, a double-faced coin, both sweet and bitter. There were always sacrifices to be made; and sometimes, one might ask why would a parent go so far for their kids? Gabriel often wondered this too back when he wasn't a surprise dad---but now, as he'd watch Laura explore her own little world or even crack a smile as she slept, he knew it'd be worth it. He just needed to work hard enough.

"Gabriel? Gabriel, open de door, it's eight o'clock---aren't you supposed to be at de Everlin school by now?"

Gabriel's eyes flew open at the sound of Mrs. Peregova's voice.
An instant curse flew out of his mouth by habit as he scrambled out of bed, covering his mouth a moment later, minding Laura in the crib not too far away.
"Yeah, yeah---I'm--coming!" Gabriel called, struggling to get some shorts and a t-shirt on randomly lying on the floor. He got out of his room and speeded towards the door, opening it hastily, letting the old woman in.

She clicked her tongue in disapproval as she hustled in, her sharp gaze scrutinizing Gabriel's scruffy, I-totally-just-got-out-bed look. Gabriel grinned sheepishly, one hand over the nape of his neck. "Hey, Mrs. Peregova," he greeted. "Da, da, privet," answered the old woman, Russian accent thick as usual, already shuffling her way to Laura's corner of the apartment, where she lay in the crib, already starting to wake up at the sound of Mrs. Peregova's entrance.
"Aye, dere's my little *Lorachka---my little *kotyonok!" cooed Mrs. Peregova as she bent down to grab Laura. Gabriel stood close to them, unable to help but smile at the sight. Mrs. Peregova turned to him, her gaze sharp.
"Vhat are you doing standing, smiling there for, eh? Hurry, hurry, or else you be late for de Everlin Grove school!"

Gabriel's smile disappeared. "Oh damn it," he murmured, glancing at the clock next to Laura's crib, before scrambling towards his room, stuffing all the school necessities inside messily and made a trip to the bathroom, brushing his teeth quickly, without thought. He got to the kitchen, grabbing a banana for breakfast and went to the door, grabbing a sweater, his cap, and turned to Peregova and Laura for a good luck and goodbye.
"Wish me luck," he said, standing at the door, hand to handle. Mrs. Peregova neared him, Laura in arms, letting Gabriel give his daughter a small hug. He turned to Mrs. Peregova. She looked at him, her gaze sharp as usual, but all the same, loving. She had freely volunteered to take care of Laura as Gabriel worked his jobs during the day---it proved that despite that icy exterior, there was indeed a kind, loving heart in the old woman. She did not judge him for his reckless actions that produced Laura---what was done was done, she had told him. Now, there only for him to be a decent dad towards his daughter, even when the mother had so selfishly left them.

"Echh," she sighed as Gabriel gave Laura a goodbye kiss. "So young, yet so old. Too young to be vorking so hard, too young to be burdened vith babies."
"Laura's not a burden," answered Gabriel almost indignantly. "She's a blessing."
Peregova chuckled and sighed.
"You do vell, Gabriel. Do vell," she said, glancing at him, and then to Laura. "Not only for you, but for her as vell."

He arrived an hour late. An hour, fucking, late.

"Shit," he murmured, getting out of the bus. He got to the courtyard of the school, blinking in astonishment at the beauty of the school, happy it didn't start yet. People were already milling about, chatting, and as Gabriel kept going, backpack in hand, he noticed the sight of pregnant girls increasing with every step. Young girls, some even young than him, with huge humbs on their stomachs, dressed in birth dresses, rubbing tummies and backs. It was quite the sight---Gabriel had never been in an area with some many girls, especially pregnant girls, in his entire life.
For a moment, he gritted his teeth, reminded of Jezebel and her pregnancy, how insistent she was on getting an abortion, killing what would become his sweet Laura. How betrayed he felt at her leaving the hospital, not even wanting to see the life she had brought into this world, not even waiting to say goodbye to who he thought she loved.

Gabriel looked around, really hoping there'd be some guys, people of his own gender to relate to in this situation. He'd hate it, absolutely hate it if he were the only guy, surrounded by a bunch of girls who do nothing but remind him of Jezebel.

He let himself wander, mainly away from the pregnant girls, who were already eyeing him, many with interest, seeing that he was very good-looking and all. He ignored them and headed towards the only secluded part of the school territory: the small patch of forest.

Gabriel headed over to the trees, almost absent-mindedly, thinking about Laura. Then, something caught his attention. A pretty blonde who looked about three years younger than him was leaning against a tree, her back towards him. She seemed to be gazing at something, or someone, Gabriel noted as he came closer, hands in his pockets. He glanced over at the people in the school courtyard and back to them, deciding to say something, though his tone seemed a bit more harsh than it should've been. Side effects of not having enough sleep (ahem, Laura), I guess.
"Hey, what's going on over there?"

Brianna took note that the other woman was pregnant as well, but not as far along as she was, given that her baby bump wasn't as big. Meanwhile, Brianna's own bump was the size of a watermelon. "Its nice to meet you too, Chloris." The other woman was very pretty too. Though Brianna herself hasn't had that short of hair in ages. It took her years to grow it out to where it is now and dye it pink. "I arrived not too long ago. Just finished organizing my dorm room. Haven't met my roommate yet though." She smiled, happy to make conversation with this woman. Perhaps they could be friends? Brianna hoped so. "So how far along are you?" She asked, cradling her belly as she smiled.

Tracy rubbed her belly as she put her attention on the woman she had just bumped into. "Oh no, you're fine. Sometimes I forget how big my belly is." She said, placing her hand underneath it to lift some strain off her back. "I got here yesterday as well. Its just we haven't met yet, even though your room is probably down the hall from mine. But I arrived like, yesterday afternoon. Spent most of my time in my room. But don't worry, I'm fine." She smiled, reassuring the other girl. "My name's Tracy. Nice to meet you, Aurora."

Why couldn't this girl be her roommate? She'd take her over that troublemaking girl with the twins. "If you want, you can feel it. Baby kicks are actually pretty cute. Honestly, this is what I'm gonna miss about being pregnant." Tracy smiled as she cradled her belly, allowing the other girl to touch it if she so chose. "And since you seem like a nice girl, if you'd like, you can listen to the baby, I hear the heartbeats are mesmerizing."

Matsuki had just began to wipe away the wet streaks from her eyes with the bottom of her palms when a voice cut through the otherwise calming silence of the forrest like area, tensing for a moment before slowly staring up and over at the direction the sound came from, a young girl with a stomach evidently smaller than her's but clearly quite far along in the pregnancy, then again she was probably only carrying one miniature human inside her appose to the two she'd been carrying around. Snapping out of her almost lost for word like stare her previously emotional expression changed back into the icy look that had been previously seen, her eyes now dry of tears except for the light pink tinge to the outer area from her pupils. Slowly pulling herself up with an evident amount of struggle, supporting her back with her hands as she looked away a little, "Yeah-…. fine…." she muttered.

Just about to turn and walk away before yet another voice cut through the quiet, this time in a tone more demanding than that of the blonde haired girl, turning around she let out a click of her tongue in annoyance, yeesh- couldn't she get to seconds of quiet around here!?…. No. She had to calm down, she couldn't just come into a pile of bushes and cry about yelling at people because of these stupid pregnancy hormones and then just act like nothing happened, now then- uh, how did normal people go about this? "What the hell do you want." she let out in a mutter, eyes staring intently over at the others, internally she cringed at the words and punched herself, that defiantly wasn't right!? Dangit, how was she supposed ta know how to do this anyway! It's not like they had some stupid class for it, not that it's mater considering she'd dropped out so early.

Well, at least it's quiet now. Keith pushed the stroller towards the entrance hall, noticing a lot of weird looks from women. What, have they never seen a guy here? do they think mothers raise their child only? Like, do they think their father is a bad impact for them? He shrugged it off, deciding to ignore the weirded out looks, only mumbling "What-freaking-ever."
Upon arriving in the fancy looking entrance hall, Keith was astonished. Man, he expected something special and glamorous, but this? Well, good to see. Let's hope the dorms look like this too. "I sincerely hope the staff is able to deal with theese screaming goblins." Goblin? Yes, goblin. He occasionally calls Moira a goblin, which even Tiffany did. And, let's hope the staff isn't ridiculously understaffed. He has heard that a lot of kindergartens have that problem. Thirty kids and one worker. As if one kid isn't hard enough to manage. This made him realize...when Moira started taking her first steps and ran around, she ran head first innto a - luckily thick! - glass door. At first, both of her parents were worried, but when they noticed that nothing happened they laughed it off. If he tells this story to the regnant people, he for sure will get lynched in an instant.

The car ride was...calming. Ming-huá had a very long ride until she arrived at the airport - she lost track on how often she had to change planes. Three times? The ride took her about 24 hours. Not counting in a delay of four hours. Delays with babies? Horrible. It's like a big "Fuck you". It's already difficult enough to amuse a kid, but for four hours? Ming-huá wondered how she managed to keep Jinhai occupied. Well, she remembers that she was going up and down escalators with Jinhai for an hour. God, why do babies have so much stamina? Ridiculous! The other three hours? Well, Ming-huá was watching the planes take off and boring herself to death.
"Misses Yin, we have arrived. A big smile appeared on Ming-huás face, before grabbing her purse and taking out money. Once the driver stopped, she gave the driver thirty bucks - double the amount the ride originally costed. The driver looked surprised, but then was visibly happy. "T-thank you very much!" Ming-huá just gave a faint nod, before starting to carry Jinhai, opening the car door, closing it behind her. The driver noticed that taking out the luggage with a baby could be dangerous, so he left the car, opened the trunk and took out her luggage. "Why, thank you! But you wouldn't have to do that." Still, she was grateful. after the driver close the trunk and entered his car, he drove off. "Well, Jinhai, finally here. Shi ma? [Yes?]" Ming-huá started o kneel down beside the luggage back and opened a zipper, which revealed...a stroller?! Yeah, a stroller. She saw this thing on kickstarter and her parents bought it her for her 26th birthday. Carefully, she placed her baby son in the stroller, before moving towards the school grounds.

She chuckled, "Oh so did I, I brought a lot of stuff to decorate, and the trip was really tiring," She said. This girl seemed pretty cool, which made Aurora feel better about what had just happened, and that maybe, making friends here wouldn't be as hard as she thoight it was going to be. And when Tracy told her she could feel her belly, that proved it. Aurora knew that pregnant ladies were gonna be a little emotional, but they were generally nicer than some normal, non pregnant people. "Oh really? That's so nice!" She said this, taking two small steps forward, gently placing her hand on Tracy's belly. There was a moment where nothing happened, before Aurora's eyes lit up as Tracy's baby kicked. "Ohmygosh!" She squeaked with a grin. "That's amazing! I'm not as far along as you, or anybody really, this is really nice. I'm glad that there are people who are happy about being preg-" She stopped herself, her smile still on her face, but it dropped slightly. There a a split second of silence, before Aurora gently shook her head, "I'll pass on listening for now, but thank you for letting me touch your belly," the chubby girl said, taking a step back, quickly glancing at her own belly. Being a plus sized girl before getting preganat, not that her belly stored a lot of fat which was pretty much in her chest and lower half, it was still kinda hard to accept the fact that little extra thing slightly pushing her tummy out was a new life. And she still wasn't happy about that.

In the entrance hall, Keith sat down on a bench, hitting the brakes on a stroller - yes, the brakes work - , ransacking through his backpack. He has heard his phone vibrating, and in the hussle in the morning, he put it into his backpack, and not in his pockets. Where is it...? Ahh, there it is. Of course it's in an extra pocket! Upon takling out his phone, he noticed that it only vibrated because the battery died. Of-freaking-course. "God damn it, I thought it was something important.", he seemed a bit disappointed. Because, well, he was hoping Tiffany would have messaged him.
Bump! Huh? What was that? Keith looked around before noticing a little child ran into his leg and falling onto his butt. Huh, cute. A smile appeared on Keiths face, and he started giggling quietly, even when someone - probably his mother - arrived. "Aw, how cute. It's ok, don#t worry. I know how crazy kids are."

Arriving on the school grounds, Ming-huá already noticed some weirded out looks by the other women. With a staight back, Ming-huá pushed the luggage stroller, deciding on what do to next, and where to go. Out of the corner of the eye, Ming-huá eyed everything and everyone. Other soon-to-be parents, or already parents, the trees, the buildings. The building looks very fine, now she is hoping it'll fit her high standards. If the staff doesn't fit her standards, Ming-huá will not give Jinhai into the staffs care. But she's optimistic that the staff is skilled enough. after all, this is one of the most prestigious parent-academies in the country. Possibly. At least, the reviews she's heard of promised a lot. One of her former friends visited this place two years ago, but she'd left early when she was struggling with finding friends. No friendships can kill someone, but Ming-huá is positive she'll find someone to talk to.

Tracy simply smiled when Aurora told her about her trip to the academy. "I'm sure it was. I got one of the bigger rooms, so I got to set up a little nursery since I'm due in four weeks." She continued to cradle her belly to help keep her lower back from straining too much. Finally, the other young woman placed her hand onto Tracy's swollen belly. Although it was quiet at first, a few moments later, there were some kicks, which seemed to perk Aurora up. When she stopped mid-sentence, Tracy looked down at her belly, remember how her pregnancy announcement went and how her home life went downhill, from a screaming match her parents, to her packing up her bags because she was being kicked out. She moved in with her older sister, who referred her to the Academy since she still wanted her diploma. "It sucks at first, but having another life growing inside you really is an amazing experience. Like, I'm gonna miss having a big belly and feeling the kicks. Being pregnant isn't really all that bad, so...Don't let the horror stories in a hospital waiting room get to you. Oh and a bit of fashion advice, I suggest going for the dresses when your belly is big enough, especially if you like floral print." She said, still willing to make conversation. "And you're welcome. I'm sure we'll get to see each other some more during the school year." She continued before taking a deep breath and placing her hands on her back. "I'm probably gonna head back to my Dorm. See you around." Tracy smiled at Aurora one last time before waddling away, now only one hand on her back and the other on her very pregnant belly.
