Colosseum Even the ageless get old

(You did fine. That was a good fight. But try and put more detail into your writing. You don't have to write big long paragraphs like I do, but try to have more than just a few lines. This will add feeling and believability to your writing. And sure, feel free to come at me as much as you like. )

(Thanks for the advice.im quite new to this so it helps a lot.btw my next character will be a lot more.Quiet)

(ok its time for a Quiet entry)
there was a faint glint of a snipers scope several kilometres from where he stood. It was Quiet the infamous silent assassin carrying several large caliber sniper rifles and a heavy looking duffel bag filled with weapons and ammunition.Although she lacks any form of armour she has highly advanced regenerative systems, inhumane agility and speed, increased strength and extreme precision with sniper rifles as noted by the tactical instructor of the Diamond Dogs, Ocelot,"she can track targets with one eye and aim the scope of her rifle with the other eye, that's why she doesn't need a spotter".As her name implies she never speaks. She also breathes through her skin due to the parasite that she is hosting that gives her all her abilities (why she wears little clothing)

If he had the helmet on, it would have cut off his peripheral vision. Without it, his eye twitched. There was the unmistakable gleam of light. A long range scope, no doubt mounted on a high power rifle. He dropped to the ground and let himself roll down the small hill to put earth between him and the shooter. The light was barley a pin prick. Maybe 300 yards away. The dropoing hurt like he'll, but it was reflex.

He had no choice. He couldn't avoid being shot in his condition. He summoned his energy and focised it into a powerful healing spell. He sighed as his body went into over drive, restoring itself nearly to full health. The process left his mana completly drained, and his body nearly exhausted. He made his armor reconfigure again. This time it covered only his chest, back, forearms and the boots. He needed it as thick as it could be in the vital areas. He crawled toward the tree grove. He hadn't thought he would be stuck in a gunfight, but here it was.

He found the box under the hedges where he left it. The thick, treated pine box was sealed fron the weather. He opened the box and fished inside, bringing out an enormous rifle. The gun was a Sharps Buffalo rifle. The ancient gun had a dark finish on the wood and the barrel was so dark it was almost black. It was wrapped in an oil soaked blanket.

The huge gun fired a 52 caliber bullet and was famous for being able to kill a bull bison with one shot at 500 yards. Now it was a chess game. Either the shooter would spot and shot him before he could get into position, or he would manage to counter snipe them.

"I hate long shooting..."

She repositions.Dashing across the cliff in the blink of an eye.Hopefully she is now out of sight from the man.

He watched her through his renier sight. She was fast, and kept to the rocks snd trees where he had a hard time drawing a bead on her. The big rifle followed what he thought was her path, but he couldn't be sure.

He didn't have a scope. His muscular control was so well honed, he had kearned how to flex the muscles that control his eyes, changing the angle if his pupils and giving himself binocular vision, like a bird of prey. He couldn't see as far as a good high power scope, but in the daylight, when a scope lense would give him away, it helped, and was better than nothing.

He haited having to be patient. He decided to keep her moving, not let her get dug in. He sighted on the spot where he thought he had last glimpsed her, let out a slow breath, and squeezed the trigger.

The big Sharps was not a modern rifle. In fact the thing was almost 200 years old. But it was still a huge, heavy gun, and could being the thunder just as good as any modern rifle. The gun was modified for brass cartriges, with a falling block breach. The ammunition did not used a cordite based powder like modern bullets. His charges were old school black powder. It made a lot of smoke, was dirty, and dangerous, but it packed far more energy than modern powder when mixxed and loaded properly. Instead of a crack, there was a sold boom and a sox foot long burst of flame from the muzzle. The .52 slug was at supersonic speed before it even left the hexagonal barrel.

the bullet barely missed her tearing into the rocks next to her.she finally took a shot at him, aiming at his knees and firing two consecutive shots from her rifle before dashing off.She knew this was going to be a long and drawn out battle and prepared for the worst

The first shot only grazed him, smacking into his armored boot and ricocheting off. The force from the sniper bullet knocmdd him off balance though and caused the second shot to find him, high on the unprotected part if his thigh. It blasted through, and he yelled as he went down, squeezing behind a bolder for better cover. His ankle was fractured, but worse, he was hit in the leg. Luckly the bullet hit more to the outside of his thigh, missing the femoral artery. Still, it tore plenty of other tissies and he was going to loose blood fast if he didn't do something.

He didn't have any energy to use a healing spell. Instead he took the cartrige he was about to load into the rifle, and yanked the slug from the casing with his teeth. He spat the bullet out, then tapped the casing over his leg, sprinkling gunpowder on his entry and exit wound. Once it was liberally covered, he tossed the casing and took a silver lighter from his pocket. Wincing, he flipped the lighter and held it to his wound.

There was a flash, and he cldnched his teeth to hold back the roar of pain. It was excruciating, but it worked. The wounds were now cauterized. It was not the best option, but it would keep him from bleeding out and he could walk on the leg.

He glared angrily at his opponent as she changed position again. He looked down at his own rifle. What was he doing? Why was he getting into a drawn out cat and mouse game? This sneaking around and counterattacking was not his style.

"Fine," he said, "Shock and awe."

He dived and belly crawled over to his box again. He wrapped the rifle up and stowed it back inside. Rummaging around, he found what he needed.

He spent a while digging in his box before he came out of the cover of the trees. This time, he was not carrying a long rifle to try and counter snipe. He walked right out into the open.

He was carrying an even more enourmouse gun. This gun's barrel was almost as long as he was tall. The huge muzzle yawned like the mouth of a cave as he raised the cannon to his shoulder. The big weapon was a punt gun. An enormous cannon class gun that was mounted on small row boats called punts. The gun was designed to take out an entire flock of ducks with one shot. This one was modified so that it loaded giant cartridges into the breach instead of being a muzzle loader. Elen opened the breach gate, slid a shell the size of a coffee can in, and closed it. He pulled back the big hammer, took aim at the last place he has seen the half naked sniper, and fired. This time the boom was earshatteringly loud, and kicked up a shockwave the threw grass and dirt. The round he had loaded was one pound of 00 buckshot. The hundreds of steel pellets were blasted out of the barrel and would spread as they flew.

The gun was so big, and at that distance, the shot would spread enough to cover an area nearly a city block in diameter. The shot would loose a lot of energy amd spread way out more than it should, but he didn't need it to stay tight, just to establish the new rules he was playing by.

She remained unfazed even though several pellets have made several holes in her.her body began pushing the pellets out.She sighs and tosses her rifle to get a larger one from her bag.”this is an anti material rifle” she thinks to herself and smiles before pulling the trigger aiming at the centre of his chest.

He had covered a lot of ground after firing the shot. He ejected the smoking shell and slid a fresh round into the breach. He took a knee and raised the giant gun again.

The woman had changed weapons as well. This new rifle looked bigger and a lot more dangerous than the last one. She was drawing a bead on him and it looked like the spread shot had been too far a distance to damage her much. He couldn't bother with careful aiming, he needed to attack before she could.

The new round was not spread shot. This round was a gigantic bullet the size of a softball. 6lbs of brass plated iron blasted out of the barrel when he pulled the trigger. The shot made him rock back from the force and the grass in front of the barrel was torn up and scorched from the blast.

The giant slug was racing towards her.Upon impact it takes off a chunk of her arm which had already began to heal itself.”well shit”she thought as she gave him the finger and took aim.She fired her shot. The bullet travelling at Mach 7 towards the built up man.

Elen hardly had time to register that she had fired. If it wasn't for dumb luck, the shot would have blown a hole through him. As it was, her roind went straight down the yawning barrel of his punt gun.

The blast of the freshly loaded round was mostly contained, but it still went off in the wrong direction. The gun was blown to bits, sending him flying backwards. Metal shrapnel tore at his exposed face and limbs, and the force of the explosion rebroke most of the freshly healed bones. Blood flew from his wounds, mouth and nose, and he was starting to see that he had not been so lucky after all.

His huge body hit the ground hard, and he slid until he came to a stop. He lay there, smoking, leaking, and still. His body went limp and he didn't even twitch.

She smiled."finally," she thought"perhaps I can go in for the kill this time" she puts the rifle on her back and jumps to the cliff nearest to him.

His entire front was torn and scorched. The armored chestplate was blackened and scored with gashes from shrapnel. He was bleeding a lot from so many wounds it was impossible to tell which werr new and which had reopened. He still was not moving and his eyes were closed.

She jumps to an even lower cliff and another cliff lower than the last before stopping to pull a heavy machine gun out of her bag “I only have three weapons left” she thought “I should be cautious” she also carefully pulled out a smoke grenade and attached the pin to her belt “ok time to check the corpse” she jumps down next to him and pokes his chest with the barrel of her machine gun.

The gun barrel tonked against the metal chest plate. He seemed unresponsive.

Suddenly, his eyes flew open and he rolled away from her. He was moving on pure reflex, only semi conciois after the explosion. His body moved on it's own as faster than the human eye can follow, his hand blured down to his belt and came back up with a rediculously huge revolver. The over sized pistol was a Smith and Wesson 500 magnum, but it was heavily modified and customised for fast drawing. The gun looked almost normal sized in his big hand, but the crash it made as he reflexively drew, aimed and fired one of the .50 cal slugs was like a thunderclap at such close range. He fanned the big gun's hammer, like some kind of Hollywood gunslinger, and fired all five rounds in a matter of seconds.

She stumbled backwards with five holes in her body so large that you could see through them. She barely managed to drop the smoke grenade but is unable to dash away due to her injuries nevertheless fire her heavy machine gun." shit he got me" she thought as she started crawling away.

Experience had burned the instinct and skill so deeply into him, he moved mechanically through the process without thinking.

Open cylinder.
Eject empties, don't let casings touch the ground. Save in pocket.
Reload.
Check gate.
Close breach.

The process took seconds, his big hands moving faster and with greater dextarity then they had a right to. He closed the cylinder with five fresh rounds just as the smoke grenade went off. His eyes were still recovering from the explosion of his punt gun. Fortunetly, his ears were ok. He used a very special spell whenever in a gunfight. It took little to no energy, but was moderately complex, requiring him to break off a part of his mind that could focus on keeping the spell up. It worked the same as having military grade ear inserts; the spell created a barrier inside his ears that would let sound through at normal volumes, allowing him to listen and communicate, but would muffle or completely mute any sound that reached the decible level that could cause damage. It came in particulalry useful at music concerts and night clubs. However, to protect his hearing from the explosion took a lot from the spell and the piece of his mind that kept ot working.

With the bursting of the smoke grenade, his hearing was intefeared with until the spell recalibrated itself. He shook his head and held his breath against the smoke.

He guessed she was still nearby, probably trying to crawl away under the smoke's cover. There wasn't much wind to blow the smokescreen away. Of only he had something bigger than the pistol, he could use the force of a blank round to help push the smoke away. As it stood, that would be a waste of ammunition.

Instead he waked toward where he remembered her blury image standing. He swept his feet in front of him so that he could either step on her, or touch her with his toe. He hoped that quick healing of hers had been slowed down by the heavy bullets, but he knew he had to stay on her while she was still within his reach, otherwise he would have to pull another stunt to lure her out, and now she knee not to trust him, so she would likely fill him full of holes or blow him to bits before she even got near him again.

He needed to end this before she could get too far away. And before he collapsed from either blood loss or brain damage.

She finally got up bleeding profusely and dropped the second smoke grenade "those shredded me.Jeez this guy means business.healing will probably take around 2 minutes so until im fully healed i cant dash away.Welp until then i guess i gotta keep spraying him" the thoughts shot through her head as she aimed the heavy machine gun of hers into the smoke firing in a wide arc "probably not gonna hit him but its worth a shot"

There it was. The mistake he had been hoping for. The hits she had taken already must have taxed her healing ability, and the big pistol rounds were able to slow her down. She had gotten as despirate as he was.

Bullets came buzzing into the smokescreen like angry hornets. Some smacked into his body armor, clanking as they dented it or ricocheted off. Some of her wild shots peeled the flesh from his already torn arms as well.

Shots coming in low, target is firing blind hoping to check any offensive...don't duck or drop down, will increase risk of head shot. Just grit through it.

7.65 rounds, mid to short range automatic rifle. Shooter is spraying, ammunition will be gone quickly.

He opened his eyes for a moment, trying to guage from where the shots were coming. He checked the shape of the dents in his armor, and the lines of torn tissue on his arms. From that, amd the swirls in the thinning smoke left from the bullets, he was able to guess her most likely position. He closed his eyes again from the stinging smoke. He needed to breath soon.

He called up the image of her to his mind. Her height, weight, build and proportions. He superimposed her profile in his mind's eye against the smoke, took aim with his pistol and fired three shots so fast it sounded like he only fired once.

Her gun flew out of her hand. For a moment she just stood there amazed that he managed to shoot through the smoke. Most of her wounds have closed up. She dashes back to the cliff with the duffel bag. Finally catching her breath she aimed her anti-material rifle at the man. the smoke was finally beginning to clear and his image began to clarify. The crosshairs were planted on his leg.she fired

His leg exploded from the anitmatter round. Everything below his left knee was blown into red mist. He toppled over, blood spilling from his dismembered leg.

"Goddamnit!!" he roared. The pain was unbelievable. He landed heavily on his side. Blood wasn't coming out as bad as it should. The heat from the anitmatter round had partialy cauterized the wound.

His head was swimming. A lesser man would have passed out, but he concentrated and flexed the muscles in his leg as hard as he could. The biggest blood vessles were crushed shut, the muscle fibers bulging and squeezing them tight. He seperated another part of his mind to keep the leg flexing in a death grip. The smoke had cleared enough. It was now or never. He found the glint of her rifle scope and summoned every oince of his willpower. He aimed dead onto the center of the scope that her head was behind, and fired the other two rounds.

The first bullet took out her scope whilst the secondbarely grazes the side of her head and knocks her onto her back "this insufferable man...kinda reminds me of the Boss...No I won't be beaten" if she could talk she would be shouting it out.she gets up, the bullet already being pushed out of her right eye. Reaching into her bag she pulled out her last gun the SERVAL ANTI MATERIAL RIFLE "finally my trump card. A large-calibre semi-auto sniper rifle. chambered in the excellent general-purpose, flat trajectory 12.7mm round. Its rapid fire rate and awesome power are a sight to behold. The future is now old man" she aimed with her remaining eye firing five shots in quick succession at the injured man.
