Fantasy Eternia: The Eternal Fantasy World(Absolute freedom RPG) [ENDED]

StrayTheCat

Traveling Adventurer
In this RPG, the rules are thus:

1) Everyone or everything can be killed. This doesn't mean it will be easy to be killed or that it's a good idea to kill them, but simply that anything that moves can be killed.

2) I, as the DM, will keep track of inventory and spells the player has.

3) There is only one player, and everyone else, including gods, are NPCs. Before you ask, yes the first rule also applies to gods, and good luck trying to accomplish that task.

4) First comes, first served. In order for literally anyone to jump in whenever they like and contribute, as well as to have the strangest RP ever, the first reply made to me will be the choice made by the player. Write-ins are absolutely encouraged!

Now that is out of the way:

You awake in a lush forest, your body sore and it takes a moment for your eyes to adjust to the light. What do you do?

Current Inventory:

  • Ragged Clothes(Equipped)
Spells:
  • Ball of Light

''well i think i need to go home.cant remember where home is but ill find it.''
*walks north to hope he finds a way out of the forest*

"Well I think I need to go home, I can't remember where home is, but I'll find it." You state, getting up and walking what you believe is north, for an exit to the forest. Upon taking three steps, an arrow comes flying and strikes the ground in front of you. Looking up, you see a pointy-eared fellow with a bow sitting atop one of the branches of a tree.

"Hail traveler, you are about to enter the territory of Jelken. State your purpose, or begone. That was a warning shot." The archer says to you.

"Do you always shoot arrows at confused travelers?" You ask, which causes the elf to create a annoyed expression on his face.

"I do not understand what is confusing by my words, however I apologize if my common-speak is not as well as others. I am only 132 years old, so I still have much to learn." He responds, and pauses for a moment. "To the direction you were heading is Jelk, a Elven community which strangers are not welcome unless absolutely necessary. Should you not explain with ample reasoning why you should be allowed to enter our land, I shall kill you if you enter regardless of my warnings."

The elf pauses once more, and appears to be observing your attire. "I find it odd that someone so...unfortunate is in the Belvaris Forest. Many wizards and druids come here to learn of it's enchanting nature, but beyond that few enter here without being killed by the magical beasts that lurk here."

"Ok I'm just trying to get out of the forest and go home...wait you said magical beast right?" You ask.

The elf stares at you for a moment, then sighs whilst pinching its nose in frustration. "Alright, I shall escort you outside the forest. Es'cara mor beres, Berea uersa." He leaps off the branch and lands behind you, showing himself to be just short of a foot taller then you. "Yes, there are several magical beasts in this forest. Most can speak at least a few languages, though some newborns may attack those such as you without thinking." The elf explains, beginning to walk the opposite direction from where you were originally going.

*starts to walk with the elf*
''whats ''Es'cara mor beres, Berea uersa''? i only know English''
*also looks around to find that shot arrow*

You follow along with the elf, searching the ground every so often to search for the arrow he shot at you. "What's 'Es'cara mor, Berea uersa", I only speak English." You ask.

The Elf glances back at you quizzingly before answering. "Roughly in your language, it means 'I care less of Berea's goal.' To who you ask, Berea is either a demon who tricks you into giving your soul, or a god who grants wishes in return for your servitude. They often are in pursuit of people such as yourself."

"Do you know why there is two widely different definitions to Berea?" You ask.

He looks at the sky for a few minutes before returning his gaze back forward. "There are many gods and goddesses, but many more demons. One demon in particular is said to have become so powerful as to disguise as a god. Those who claim Berea is a god, state those who believe Berea is a demon have been tricked by this demon, while the other side say those who believe Berea to be a god have been tricked."

After a short silence, the elf continued. "I suppose it is because Berea is one of the gods whom does not approach nor allows groups to approach them. They only speak to individuals you see, so when many people have such different experiences with them...it can be hard to tell which is the truth and which is the true trickery. It can be quite hard to describe the reasoning surrounding how some gods are worshipped, especially when speaking of the God of Magic. Of course, not everyone always has such extreme experiences as to either love or hate someone in such short time."

The elf stepped through a towering bush, almost seeming as if it had devoured him, as one second he was in front of it, the next gone.

"Hmm that's in depth." You reply, while entering the bush as well.

As you leave the bush however, you arrived in the middle of a bustling town, surrounded by market stalls and passing people from gnomes to orcs. Turning to the elf, you ask "So what's Jelk?" However the elf is gone, and several people stop and stare at you in confusion upon you speaking. A armored girl jogs towards you, with a slightly worried expression. "I'm sorry, but magic like teleportation and such isn't allowed here. You don't seem to be from here, so I'm sure it was just a simple mistake."

She extends her left hand for a handshake while holding her right hand in a fist over her chest. "I am Helena, the local captain of the Falkreen Kingdom at your service."

*shakes hand*
"hello im....mell."
"i just walked through a bush i didn't use magic.i dont think i have any teleportation like spells."

You shake her hand, and introduce yourself as well. "Hello I'm...Mell. I just walked through a bush, I didn't use magic. I don't think I have any teleportation like spells." You explain, though it appears she doesn't believe you. "Well, wherever you came from I welcome you Mell to our town! Herald is mostly known for having a few merchant guilds here, but we also have a few adventuring parties and historians come through here too. In fact, did you know there was once an enchanted forest here?" Helena explains, talking at a such a rapid speed as though her thoughts cannot escape her mind fast enough.

"Oh, I almost forgot. While I may have said magic like teleportation isn't allowed, other magic like summoning or healing is. Powerful magic like teleportation is just too dangerous to have around a town with so many wagons, since you might accidentally find your body having a bag of apples inside or something. If you need anything, just ask! I may work for the Falkreen Kingdom, but I was in fact born and raised here!" She adds with a proud smile.

''well i do have a few questions like is that right fist over your chest is that a greeting and is there a map to this place and this is not really a question but i was just in that forest.i think it called Belvaris Forest and i saw a elf that lived in a community called jelk aanndd i sound insane do i ?"

"Well I do have a few questions, like is that right fist over your chest, is that a greeting? Is there a map to this place, and this is not really a question, but I was just in that forest. I think it's called Belvaris Forest, and I saw an elf that lived in a community called Jelk….and...I sound insane don't I?" You reply, and once you finish, Helena stares hard at you as if trying to see through your skull. After a few minutes, she relaxes and scratches her head with a confused smile.

"Listen, I don't know much about magic but I do know a spell for detecting when people are lying. You're right that the enchanted forest that was once here was called Belvaris Forest, but if you were anywhere near this area when the Elves of Jelk were here, then you would've died just like they did." She laughed awkwardly, not sure about your story.

"Not to offend, but I kind of doubt someone like you could survive a meteor that large. It took several hundred years for this land to even become habitable again, and that was only because of the god Berea used their divine power to reverse some of the damage. As for the fist over my chest, that is the offical salute for the Falkreen Kingdom's military." She explained, then suddenly began to drag you towards a small wooden shack. "Perhaps the god of magic can help you figure out what happened! Berea is the creator of all forms of magic, and they are quite well known for being helpful towards those who have questions regarding it!"

"Ok, is that the god of magic shack, or is it just a shack?" You ask while pointing at the shack.

"This is the church of the god of magic, trust me it looks much cooler on the inside!" Helena says as the lets go of your hand to open the door of the shack, which reveals the inside of an elaborate throne room, as if from a castle. "Berea likes to show off a bit sometimes, but he is not as bad about it as some other gods." She adds, gesturing for you to enter.

As you walk through the doorway, you wave goodbye to her. "Thanks Helena, I'll see you again maybe." She waves back, as the door closes behind you.

Turning to look around the room, you see the elf archer from before, only this time he is sitting on the throne, sleeping while wearing robes with numerous enchantments inscribed on them.

"Hello?" You say, while walking closer. The elf abruptly jumps up from the throne and teleports right in front of you for a moment, before teleporting back to sitting on the throne.

"Hello. I'm Berea, god of magic, what do you need? I'm kind of bored at the moment, so I just took a nap for a few decades." He responds, before yawning. "Hm?" He stares at you for a moment, and smiles slightly. "Oh you are that traveler I saved. Huh. Could've sworn you weren't coming back till at least another hundred years, guess my math was off. Anyway, what is it you want?"
